Oops, no offense! My DH is a great and wonderful man, but probably has no idea about our cake. Guilty of man-stereotyping, that's me! :rolleyes1

And, hey, red velvet, yum. Way to go, bro! :woohoo:

How long have you been married? (Nosy, that's me, too.)

Kinda sounds like us. On our 1 year anniversary (from the day we met) we went to Toronto and bought a real fancy cake. We took it back to our hotel room where, of course, there was no silverware except some coffee spoons. So we just dug in with our spoons in the box. So romantic!

I like the idea about the bakery recreating the cake. It's been 11 years now and the man who made our cake is pushing up daisies....:flower3:

If you have a photo of it, just about any bakery can recreate it for you. :goodvibes That would be so romatic, DM for your next anniversary. ;)

I girl that I work with was living somewhere back east when she go married. The top to her cake was in her mom's freezer and for her 1 year anniversery she had her mom mail it to CA and they ate it. She said it was still good. I guess they wrapped it really well before freezing it and then they had it mailed with dry ice over night or something.

Glad it turned out well, but... On the other hand, I know some restaurants will ship food cross-country, so there has to be a way to do it. ;)

I am a little fuzzy on the details, but I think we took out our cake after a year I stuck my finger in some of the frosting and threw it out. lol It might have even been after our 1 year that I remembered we should be eatting it. lol :goodvibes jen

Wow that's alot of stuff. And what if I have a southern accent?? (Which I do have.) I must have missed that one.

It's okay - I have a Southern Accent, too and have been known to say "ya'll all." TFW still lets me hang around. Paparrazi even photo'd me on my last trip and the pic ended up on the disboards.

Well that's good. Now I can stop practicing my yankee accent.

I think I saw that pic. Is that the one where a tattoo was showing?

I am going to WDW Sept 1. I just logged into the annual passholder site b/c I want to get the DDE card. It says my passes expire Sept 2. :scared1: I looked on the back of our cards and they all say that. I just bought these in December. I think the girl renewed our old passes, which did expire early Sept. I tried calling about it, but the person I talked to told me they couldn't help, gave me a number to call tomorrow b/c the people I need to talk to already closed.

I found my receipt, but it does not show we paid the full amount because we each traded in a 1 day pass and upgraded to the annual pass. The receipt does not show a credit for the 1 day pass, just as the amount on it. I am so worried about this. DH says don't worry b/c Disney will take care of it, but I am a worrier.

But your receipt does show a December date, no? I'm with your DH, (well, not with your DH, but you know what I mean ;) :lmao: ) I'm sure Disney will work it out, Miz. Don't worry! :goodvibes

I'm a worrier, too, but this sounds like something that will turn out OK. Let us know, of course!

I called this morning and the girl said that the system shows that we we did not renew, but bought new passes in December. I have to go to guest relations when I get there, but she said I shouldn't have any problems.

Hey TFW--just checking in to say that I have returned! You did miss me right??? cause I've been gone like 10 days...........really I have........:lmao:

I'll catch up reading and post some when I get a minute. I feel like I have jet lag right now--how is that possible when I DROVE to Florida??

Welcome home TE. We expect pictures and I expect you to get right over to my TR. You're slipping in your rank...;)

Welcome back, TE!!! Of course we missed you. :)

Driving causes worse jet lag than jets, in my opinion. I do a lot of long drives (or at least I used to, it's slowing down) and it always leaves me feeling discombobulated. :upsidedow
