Hey "virtual"friends--just realized I left this on all night cause I had to get up to check on BA and then AE grabbed the computer. So, I really wasn't up all night just hoping someone would talk to me........really I wasn't.........so don't feel guilty or anything.......

Oh...and about my pregnant wife...I hope this isn't TMI for anybody but we found out yesterday that she's already dilated 2cm and if the baby doesn't come by this Sunday they're going to induce her monday morning. We have internet access in the birthing room so I'll get something posted up as soon as I can.

Oh...and about my pregnant wife...I hope this isn't TMI for anybody but we found out yesterday that she's already dilated 2cm and if the baby doesn't come by this Sunday they're going to induce her monday morning. We have internet access in the birthing room so I'll get something posted up as soon as I can.

Oh, wow! That's really exciting! And I'll go out on a limb and to say that on this thread, there is no such thing as TMI regarding labor/delivery stories!

My advice: don't always believe the people that say "oh, this is your first baby, it'll take a while"
I thought I just had heartburn and sat around popping Tums (and eating)--when my water broke and I realized I actually WAS in labor, we had to speed to the hospital--with 7cm dilated, it was under an hour till she was born (too late for any meds, etc). So on my second one, I got there early........well she was 2 weeks overdue so relatively speaking! Things went fine both times, but I would stay very close the next several days.

Yes, well, my wife has her heart set on a certain doctor doing the delivery so she keeps telling Emma that she needs to come either tomorrow (thursday), Saturday or to get induced on Monday. I keep telling my DW that it's not really her decision but she says that Emma better listen if she knows what's good for her.

I also laughed when I saw the L&D room has internet access. I never experienced labor - csection with both kids. Son was 10 pounds, 2 ounces. There was no way I was going to even attempt that.

Okay - I'm putting a plug in for myself. Sorry to get away from the Orlando hot topic. If you go to inthemotherhood dot com (Come on Rosie, I know you can do it!), on the home page, look to the bottom and click on Round 3 winners. My story is 3rd place and there is a headshot of me. Then at the top, you can click on Round 4 and my story is 2nd place, then go to Round 5 and my story is 1st place (although I don't think it is as funny as the 3rd place one in Round 3). They are going to put a bio up, but it is not up yet.

Those are some great stories. I can just see you sitting in your nightgown in the foodcourt and falling asleep with the baby going in the fountain . I was laughing so hard I had tears in my eyes.
