:lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao: I'm so glad I wasn't drinking my tea (as opposed to wine), or I would have spit it on the screen!

:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: OMG, are you trying to scare everybody from opening the card :faint:
:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
:rotfl:

well had to go get BA from school---tummy hurting again. I think she's just constipated again but we'll see. She's been having trouble with that lately.
I'm sure she would love for you to tell the WWW about it, too. ;) :laughing: I hope she feels better. That's such a pain in the butt! :lmao:

Still car shopping. Really like the Hyundai Veracruz--lots of bells and whistles for good price (leather, 3 rows, AWD, adjustable pedals for me, and even a little cooler for drinks in front!)
Also like the Toyota Highlander. any body have one of these??

It's so cute! I love me Dodge Durango. :lovestruc

Whew! I just read two chapters of history to the girls. :teacher: We're talking about the Puritans and different types of government. It makes my brain hurt. :scared:
We're taking a brain-ache break so they can color some more of their Jamestown books and I can DIS. :thumbsup2

I know a GUY who LOVES his Highlander
And if you really work these guys over...
and can find a 2008 sport you should be able to talk em down to around 26,000 or 24,000 for the base ...maybe more if ya play hard ball ;)

Hmm.........V---I test drove the Santa Fe too and liked it--you can get AWD and 3 rows too---it's just a little shorter than the Veracruz. Glad to hear you liked it--I don't know anyone who has one.

Katt--I liked the ride of the Highlander--but I would have to talk a lot as the sticker was $40K:upsidedow . Course that was a 09 and it had EVERY feature---nav, rear camera, I think it could talk to you in Spanish---I saw a "language" button so I'm just assuming!
Maybe it says the monorail things "the doors are now closing......" :lmao:

Dawn---yea, I thought BA will kill me if she comes in and reads about her constipation on the net!:lmao:

Are you a Giants fan:confused:

Yes, :rolleyes1
Maybe I should go look in my Rachael Ray cookbok and find something else.

You know Rachael doesn't bake! ;) Make these, so easy and so good. :lovestruc I think I have posted this before.

Death to the Diet Brownies
1 c flour
2 c sugar
4 (1-ounce) squares unsweetened choc
1 c butter or margarine
4 eggs, beaten
2 t coffee liqueur, brandy or vanilla extract
1 c (6 ounces) choc chips
1 c chopped nuts

Mix flour & sugar in large bowl. Melt the choc & butter in heavy 1-qt saucepan, stirring to blend well. Add to the flour mixture with the eggs & liqueur; mix well. Stir in choc chips.

Spread in greased 9x13 pan. Bake 325 degrees for 15 minutes or until the edges are firm; the center will be soft. Cool on a wire rack for 30-60 minutes before cutting. Cut into small squares and chill for 2 hours or longer before serving.

For an even deadlier-to-the-diet treat, microwave the squares for 30 seconds and top with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

BOB'S HERE!!! He came home yesterday, about 2 pm. We had a big turkey dinner last night and pumpkin pie. He looks great and was so glad to see the boys. He's all messed up sleeping wise though. Poor guy. :sad2:

Glad Bob's finally home. Now if you all can feel better! :hug:

Mailed my cards on Friday...anyone get them yetpopcorn::

I did! That was quick. :thumbsup2

........and love the pic Janet....I didn't even KNOW they made bikinis that small!

She looks hot, huh? ::yes::

Mrs. T and I are actually pretty sure it will be DVC as our Hanukah gifts to each other.

:cool1:

Mmmm... that sounds good.
I was thinking of making this:

HOT ARTICHOKE DIP

1 (14 oz.) can artichoke hearts or bottoms, drained
1 c. freshly grated Parmesan cheese
8 oz. cream cheese, at room temperature
1/2 c. mayonnaise, preferably homemade
1/2 tsp. dried dill
1/4 tsp. minced garlic

1. Heat oven to 400 degrees.
2. Place half the artichoke hearts in food processor; chop coarsely. Add half the Parmesan cheese, cream cheese, mayonnaise, dillweed and garlic; process until smooth. Scrape mixture into 10" pie plate. Repeat procedure with remaining half of the ingredients, adding to pie plate after processing. Smooth top with spatula; bake until hot and bubbly, about 15 minutes. Serve immediately, with bread sticks.

It's so yummy and bad for you. I like to serve it with bagel chips or pretzel flats. :cloud9:

Will you people stop posting recipes?

Here I'm stuck at school with week-old chicken nuggets and mystery veggies.

Geez.

Help a sistah out.

Okay... part one of operation "Look Like I Have it All Together" is complete. Like I said, we have to take a dish and have the recipe to share with the group.
I made a cute recipe card-sized card with ornaments on the top and color-coded words.
Woohoo! Now I'll print and cut them and I'm on my way to the next step: buying the ingredients! :woohoo:

I need help, Fockers.

Last year when we told the kids about the trip, I did a treasure hunt that ended with a big picture of Cinderella's castle and a treasure that had a scroll that said we were going to Disney.

What can I do this year? I'm telling the kids on Christmas. I bought Disney blanket and pillow sets, but that's it since they are outgrowing character stuff.

What if I wrap my planning folder and a book and say, "??????"

HELP!!! :guilty: I know I'm supposed to be creative, but I think I used it all up. :confused3

Can you tell where the extra length is? I could've used it in the cargo area, but there was plenty of leg room in the seating. Mind you, mine was a 2002 and the design has changed since then.

My friend "Char" drives a Highlander. She really likes it and I have to say it seems the same amount of space inside as my old Santa Fe and mine had more cargo space, even with her 3rd row folded down. The difference was in the ride: the Highlander is built on a Camry chassis and rides like a big car, where my Santa Fe rode and handled more like a light truck.

I thought I read somewhere, and I can't remember where since it didn't apply to me, but if you booked a trip, Mickey would call on Christmas. Or is that passe to them? ;)

We don't want your sick germs on them anyway... :rolleyes1
I'm going to have to open yours with rubber gloves on! :lmao:

Ewww. Nice.
Uh, I'm gonna hand sanitize before I write them and I'll use a bottle-water soaked sponge to wet the envelope flaps.

No.
Not Really.

I'm gonna get you all SICK!! LOL!!

Deny, deny, deny, right? ;)

Right. ::yes::

Never mind.

I'm now seeing conflicting info. that says point minimums are NOT being affected at resorts other than BLT.

More as I hear it third-ish-hand... :rolleyes:

Ok, good. Don't go depressing me....I've had a rough week. :laughing:

I still hope Jim got me DVC for Christmas:rolleyes1

Me too! Me too!

Janet told me she wasn't going with the bikini. She said the thong, feather boa combo was more "Christmassy".

Mel- Glad to hear Bob is back and that you had a nice welcome home supper yesterday. :thumbsup2 Hopefully, everyone in your home will have 100% well-tummies very soon. :hug:

I've got a networking thing tonight, but, hopefully, I can pop back in later today or this evening. TTFN! :grouphug:

Thanks Mr. T.
Have a good night!

SD is home again too. He's still having tummy trouble. He'd love me to broadcast his #2 issues too....Ah, 15 yr olds.....LOL.

Don't have that one, but have looked at it. I think I'll go with the Subaru Forrester when I turn in my Pilot in Feb. Have you looked at them?

Dude. Don't ask me. :sad2: I'm not crafty. Maybe you could order them each a "mickey santa hat" and give them those to open?

How about... a photo.. that you turn into a jigsaw puzzle.
Cant make it too obvious...
Maybe smaller pieces... and when they get it put together they will find out their secret suprise.

For their trip on 06, DisneyMSF made a video of clips from their last trip, then finished it with "Coming in 2006-the sequel!" She also gives them guidebooks-Maybe Birnbaym's kids for C and A, and regular Birnbaum's for B?

Hello all!

Apparently my denial of being sick was not enough...I feel like poo today. Sore throat and stuffed up and a fever. So annoying, I have no time for this!

So I am not going to do my errands today, I am staying in. I am going to try and get a few things done here. Including making these....

Lemon Ricotta Cookies

* 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
* 1 teaspoon baking powder
* 1 teaspoon salt
* 1 stick unsalted butter, softened
* 2 cups sugar
* 2 eggs
* 1 (15-ounce) container whole milk ricotta cheese
* 3 tablespoons lemon juice
* 1 lemon, zested

Glaze:

* 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
* 3 tablespoons lemon juice
* 1 lemon, zested

Directions

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
Cookies:

In a medium bowl combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.

In the large bowl combine the butter and the sugar. Using an electric mixer beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes. Add the eggs, 1 at a time, beating until incorporated. Add the ricotta cheese, lemon juice, and lemon zest. Beat to combine. Stir in the dry ingredients.

Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper. Spoon the dough (about 2 tablespoons for each cookie) onto the baking sheets. Bake for 15 minutes, until slightly golden at the edges. Remove from the oven and let the cookies rest on the baking sheet for 20 minutes.
Glaze:

Combine the powdered sugar, lemon juice, and lemon zest in a small bowl and stir until smooth. Spoon about 1/2-teaspoon onto each cookie and use the back of the spoon to gently spread. Let the glaze harden for about 2 hours. Pack the cookies into a decorative container.

They sound weird but i just have an urge to try 'em! Otherwise I'm gonna be resting, and checking in off and on today.

OH I got cards from: Janet, Mo, Michelle & Lessa- THANKS! I love getting cards!!!!
