no.......they have school.......Beth Ann says that God never intended me to homeschool!

How are you Janet??

I'm still in my robe---but I did get the Christmas boxes moved into the garage!!

All is good. I still have to start wrapping, but can't really do that until Jimmy is in bed:rolleyes1 .

I am still my jammies and so is Jimmy, he has declared pajama day:thumbsup2

I thought about you yesterday TE. At Hersheypark there was some CHeerleading thing going on. This looked like they might have been highschool or college age though!

Here I go, bucking the trend again and POSTING on top!! Silly Mel!!!

First, I'm sorry to all the people who I forgot to quote. The last few days are a haze! Thanks for all the bday wishes! They meant so much!

We are all WELL!!!! Get outta town! I have Bob's welcome home dinner prepped and ready to go! The boys will make the pie when they're done shovelling the driveway. Yeah, they're thrilled! :rotfl:

Bob should be here about 1pm. Unfortunately, I won't be. I'll be at SD's guitar lesson with him! But, he'll be here when I get home and he'll have time to shower and change his clothes at least! (OH, and the MIL will have him all to herself for a bit, which she'll love!)

Ok, not too much else going on here! Looking forward to all the Xmas cards I have to do! Can't procrastinate anymore...LOL.
:banana: Yeah! Bob's coming home!!!

Oh, honey. I'm sorry I didn't call back the other day. Stomach flu struck FAST. I'll give you a call this week, k?
No biggie. I didn't want you to barf in my ear anyway! ;) My mom was here all day and things were so busy. I hope you had a nice lunch. :goodvibes

Mel said:
Uh, nope. Must be a TX thing....:goodvibes

I could've written that email myself. People's rudeness amazes me.... Glad someone still has the guts to speak up. If you don't, it will only get worse.
:worship:
Yeah. So what if people get mad at me? I'm mad at their behavior anyway. :snooty:

:hug: THe one's that don't respond are probably the ones that complain about everything too:sad2: :hug:
Exactly... :sad2:

I've had this booked for 2 months---didn't I tell you before??? Oh---and 4 of the moms emailed me and said they thought the newsletter said the party was in Virginia so they can't come. Does that just leave us??
Good. The less, the merrier! :rotfl2:

I wish you were coming. I'd drive 4 hours each way to hang out with you. :goodvibes :lovestruc

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We're off to Target- yes for the 10th time since Black Friday :rolleyes: - to get A a drum pad they have on sale. I also forgot trash bags yesterday. Does anyone else forget something every time they go to the store? :headache: I need to get snacks for that craft party that I can set aside until Wed. I'm not baking or going back to the store before then. :snooty:
Love the pics Janet! I was just remembering that I haven't downloaded any picture since school started....
Hershey looks fun! We're looking forward to it! BA is cheering constantly--4 days this week. She is flying on the senior squad (where she gets tossed WAY up in the air by 16-17 year olds!:scared1: ) and then she tosses 5 year olds up in the youth squad! She loves it but it's tiring.
Thanks TE. Hershey was fun and Jimmy is already asking when we can go back. I told him in the Spring;)
I guess I was in a let people have it kind of mood yesterday. I posted this e-mail in our homeschooling group, after I cancelled a Christmas craft party for lack of RSVPs. Several of the ladies in the group said they didn't know they had to RSVP when it was in the newsletter. :sad2: :mad:
The newsletter clearly stated that there was a deadline for this activity. The reason I set this deadline is so I could adequately prepare snacks and set up tables.
We're all short on time, but it only takes a second to RSVP for activities when the newsletter comes out. When we don't make RSVPing, arriving on time to field trips, or paying for tickets (or books) we reserved a priority, the person who plans the activity has to suffer. I have been really upset at the treatment several of the ladies who have gone out of their way to take a planning role in our group have received in the last few months. Bullying, sticking someone with the bill when people don't pay for the things they order, ugly e-mails... It really breaks my heart.
I will "uncancel" the activity this time, since so many people do want to attend. But, please ladies, let's treat each other kindly and be true to our word before our group is left with very little for our families to participate in. There are so many people in the world against what we do, we really can't afford to treat each other badly, can we?
Thank you for letting me speak my heart and I look forward to seeing all of you Wednesday. PLEASE, e-mail me at ******** by SUNDAY night so I can properly prepare for the Christmas craft party.
Dawn L****
I was done with it. I've talked to our groups president about ti several times and nothings happened, so I took care of it myself. I mean, these people send snide e-mails (not to the whole group, of course) and bully me to change the date or time on everything. A couple of my firends who plan activities have been stuck with paying for books or Nutcracker tix that people committed to, but won't pay for. It's really been weighing on me and I've been so disgusted by it.
So far I haven't gotten any ugly e-mails back from it, just ones that say sorry or ignore what I said. Half of the RSVPs now were to the group, so they STILL aren't paying attention! :mad: The meeting Tuesday should be fun! ;) :rolleyes1
Dawn was kickin' butt and takin' names. :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:
Drives me crazy. I see it at the Home and School Meetings. No one shows up to the meetings, but then I will hear parents talking in the school yeard about different things:sad2:
.
Jimmy and I wrapped presents and I ran out of wrapping paper:headache: Everything I have, except Jimmy's gifts, are wrapped so I guess that is good. A lot of his stuff won't be wrapped anyway. We have to go shopping next weekend and pick up a couple of more things so I will get more wrapping paper then.
Nothing planned for the rest of the day. Just :laundy: and relaxing.
Have a good day everyone!:goodvibes
Did you all see this..
The Coral Reef restaurant at Epcot will not be doing diver signs and personalized menus in 2009.
Cuts are starting to hit I think!
Dawn -
I didn't forget the recipe I promised you...here it is. Very Easy, I make it the night before and then heat up the next day.
It says it serves 4 -6.
12 x-large eggs
1/2 cup milk
1 lb deli ham, dice (I get a chunk at the deli and dice it myself, I also use the low sodium ham)
1/2 shredded mozzarella cheese
2 scallions, thinley sliced (I can't always find scallions so I will finely chop an onion)
1 small red (or green which ever you prefer) bell pepper, finely chopped
Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
Coat an 8inch square baking dish with non-stick coomking spray.
In bowl whisk the eggs and milk until well combined.
Add the remaining ingredients; mix well.
Pour into baking dish and bake for 45 - 55 minutes, or until firm in the center.
*If cooking and serving the same day allow to sit for 5 minutes, then cut and serve.
*If cooking the night before, cut slices and microwave until desired temp (usually 1 minute to 1 minute 15 seconds depending on the size of your microwave!)
=========================================================
This is something I make with it...
Holiday Sausage Roll Ups (these really can't be baked ahead, but the filling can be mixed an refrigerated overnight)
1 package (16 ounces) spicy pork sausage (Like Jimmy Dean, etc)
1/2 medium red bell bepper diced
4 scallions, thinly sliced (If I can't find scallions I skipp this part)
2 packages (8 oz) crescent rolls
Preheat oven 400 degrees
In bowl combine sausage (minced), red pepper, amd scallions.
Unroll one package of crescent rolls and press the seams together to form one large rectangle. Repeat with the 2nd package of crescent rolls.
Spread 1/2 the sausage mixture evenly over each rectangle. Starting from the narrow end roll-up jelly roll style. Cut wach roll into 8 equalslices and place on their sides on a baking sheet (I cover the baking sheet with aluminum foil) to a christmas tree.
Like this:
OOOO
Bake for 25 -2 30 minutes, or until the sausage is no longer pink and the crust is golden. Serve Warm!
Hope you like these
