I'm seeing a Carolina Panthers tree! ;)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Did I mention that I am sick? I lost my voice last Sat on our trip down to WDW. I did most of the driving so I was up all night, but not talking to anyone, so I'm not sure why I lost my voice. I felt fine most of the week, but started coughing up stuff around Wed. Since we have been home, I have been too tired to do much of anything. :confused3
The sad part is that my DH's allergies started acting up as soon as we returned home. He woke up yesterday morning in bad shape. Does this mean we have to move to WDW? :yay:
I live in bizarro world, my apartment is a vortex of h-e-double-hockey sticks I swear. I had to put the air conditioner on last night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NO JOKE!
We went grocery shopping and it was snowing, then we came home and it was like an oven on 400 degrees in here. I was literally dripping with sweat and unable to sleep until I finally gave up around 5am and put the darn a/c on for a while and finally feel asleep!
Not to mention we keep the window open most of the time hoping for some air and its screwing with my throat, and I think I now have a slight fever!
So how are all of you!? :rotfl:
I too put up a stocking for Bale, FYI.
I'll be mailing out my stuff tomorrow so watch out fockers!
Not much going on for me this week at all, some errands and maybe surprising KC with seeing Bolt on Wed (I have free tix and its free popcorn night, how's that for a cheap date). and Fri is 6 years that we have been together (the dating anniversary we call it) so we are going out for French food- oh la la!
Anyways off to lazily order some Chinese food for dinner!
I'm feeling weak in the knees.
Darlin'. Don't speak. It's my job as a speech therapist to tell you that. You should probably check yourself into a private spa where you will be waited on hand and foot by men resembling Greek gods just to be sure you won't even have to lift a finger. Trust Jen. It's the best treatment. ;)
Still. doing. cards.
Carry on.
My DH didn't think this was such a great idea. :rolleyes:
Hi everyone been busy bargain shopping as usual on Sunday!! The girls came in 3rd in the Canadian Competition and are telling they are invited to compete in Florida !!! While that sounds great not sure if we can afford it if the team decides to go and then what will it do to our 2009 plans !!!I seem to remember that the contest was in Feb this year when I was there !!So if we all go then I will not be going in Sept.
Wow! I'm impressed! I would love for BAs squad to qualify for Disney! Tell them congrats and post some cheer pix!
We're going to go to Schlitterbahn tonight. B's dance team is dancing again. This is the first year they have this Hill Country Christmas thing with snow and Santa and carolers, etc. I'm excited. It's not supposed to be as cold as Thursday night, etiher. :rolleyes:
I'll take lots of pictures. :flower3:
That sounds like fun! Is she enjoying being part of the team this year??
How about a Pack Mule :rolleyes:
Daran wants one............I'm serious......actually a donkey.
:banana: :banana:
IS there any other type :rolleyes1
Tell the girls it's a "Theme" Christmas... and read them the story " Kentucky Christmas" BOY WAS I UPSET .. They did not mention the "Wildcats" in it at all when I read it:rotfl2: :rotfl2: which... BTW suck six ways from Sundown this year:headache: :headache: :headache:
I am soooo tired. We are gonna run and grab a bite to eat.. I survived the trip. GOT TO FINALLY SEE SNOW... just did not want it when I am traveling through 3 states.
Saw your Hershey Pictures Janet. Thanks for checking on me yesterday. :lovestruc at least you love me :rolleyes1
Just kidding. I saw all your notes and comments guys. :lovestruc
Talk with y'all some tomorrow.
Wait........have you not had snow???
Cause we've had more than I ever remember this early--1 inch yesterday.......and already missed 3 school days.
A few pics of my tree...I haven't found a new tree-skirt to match this year's theme of tealy blue and sparkly white...still looking...
And my front walkway which I'm not done with yet...
As soon as I get my living room done with all 16 stockings...that's right...I said 16...I'll post those pics as well.
Happy Holidays! :teeth:
Oh! We're on the same wave length cause I wanted blue too! I'll take a pic soon.........no really I will.......and I MIGHT even download it.......maybe!:rolleyes:
I do stockings for the outlaws, but I don't hang them plus the coal makes them so heavy. ;)
:lmao:
Stupid question, but I honestly don't know. Do you need a different kind of stamp to mail to Canada?
P.S.-don't laugh at me.
I wondered that too! So Janet--how many stamps did it take??
I think I still have some forever stamps---do you think 2 will work??
Then again, I'd hate to deprive my post office of mailing a foreign card--they really enjoyed it last year when I mailed one to Jo!
It's really cold here! Made some good crock pot chili and cornbread tho!:thumbsup2
I just calculated it on the USPO website.
It said from the U.S. to Canada it's 96 cents.
That's right! I put 3 stamps on it I think...Lessa when you get your card tell me how many stamps I put on it:rolleyes1
Here too. I'm glad we went to Hershey yesterday instead of today.
Mmmm. Chili. Haven't made any yet this winter. I have a chicken prepped and ready to go in the crockpot for tomorrow!:thumbsup2
We're home. I'm beat, but it was really cool. I took lots of pictures. I'l try to post some soon.
Thanks for the well wishes for B's dance team. :lovestruc
TE- She's loving being on the team. It's so much less stress for her than doing solo dances. Thanks for asking. :goodvibes
I'm going to watch my shows now. :happytv:
Hey Jen, did you see the Eagles beat the Stinkin GIants, who woulda thunk it:confused3 AND the cowgirls lost;)
:sad2: :woohoo:
Jen, your tree reminds me of a book Blue Christmas by Mary Kay Andrews. About a designer with a retro theme. Cute story!
Morning Fockers! :wave: Quiet around here on the DIS... only 4 of my subbed threads had updates. :confused3
Sooooo, did you see?! We did it - Gators are going for another Nat'l. Championship! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:
And that's about it. Instead of holiday cards, I'll be writing sympathy cards over lunch. Leo was at his dad's this weekend, so I'm looking forward to seeing him later. Nothing I need to do at work is exciting me.
I'm boredboredboredboredbored. Bored. And, bored.
Wait........have you not had snow???
I've seen it... It's fallen , blew around... but NOTHING to stick. :sad2:
I have heard on Q99 that Your Schools have had School closings and delays.
WHOA WHOA :eek: ... how did I miss the NEW CROCK POT PURCHASE ??
Were there pictures :rotfl:
Back to normal here. All this talk of Postage... and I have not done the first card. Started working on the design a little last night, I just can't get it right:mad: . Told the kids yesterday it was too late to put up a tree.:mad:
Just call me
And with the cold weather expected this week I do not see me getting one. :sad2: Why am I so behind this year ??:guilty:
The only WARM day (50 degrees) it's gonna rain.:headache: I have outside decorating to do !!! Usually I have the windows open some during this time of year. I'm moving to Florida till March. :santa:
Trip home to Ky. was tough but I knew it would be. For a split second when I saw my Aunt Delorus... I thought... "MOM" . But she is much taller than Mom was... but it did make my heart jump .
I bet our spring break will be canceled (which is annoying cause we'll be at Hershey the weekend prior)
Yes, we do need an official crock pot report---is he happy with his new surroundings?? (Does he know what happened to the "last one" ???;)
:teacher: Not too late to get a tree! Finally got mine all done---it's a lot of work to decorate a 9 footer but I like it (despite the Kentucky theme!) :rolleyes: Haven't bought cards yet--but I HAVE thought about it!
Taking off work today---got to clean this morning and then my FIL is having knee surgery so will need to drive to Bristol to the hospital.
Went to my niece's 6 yo birthday party yesterday---it was NUTS.....she is so WILD......ran around the room constantly and then started high pitched screaming and tearing of the wrapping paper (way over excited)....
I was hoping Kindergarten would calm her down. I really think she has some hyperactivity problem---can girls get that? What are the latest meds? My girls were never that wild.
