Let's see what I remember.

Yay Jo! 1 more day! :woohoo:

V--I'm too much of a yes woman...so I have no advice. I"ll just say what Mel said.

Mr. T/Rubber legs...have fun!

CE--headbands?

That's the extend of my memory for today!

I feel like poop. See you all later. Oh...it's strep. :sick:

Good Morning All!!
And this is post number 4000!!!!

:rotfl: :woohoo:

So I finally BOOKED for December!!!!

BUT not with Disney.....

I called all happy to book a value with my loverly pin code and they tell me I can't use my pin code until next year.

I said, ok nevermind. I checked online and found Buena Vista Suites for $88 a night w/ free breakfasts and a $50 food credit. Sold!

WOOHOOOO!!! It feels so official now.....

Gonna go look for a ticker.
Too bad about the code. Sounds like you ended up with a good deal though!

I have to tell you something cute that Gus said last night. He said, "I didn't know it was your birthday this week." So, I said, Oh, who told you? He said, "Dad, when he called this morning." Then he said, "I wanted to get you a present. Now I can't." And he got all weepy.
I told him to get better and that would be a good present.

He's so sweet. I don't even want to celebrate without Bob, anyway. It's the first time he's missed my birthday since I was 14 and we were JUST friends! :sad1: Ok, I'm done feeling bad for myself.

What are you guys doing today???

MEL:banana:
That is so sweet of Gus!
DisneyBday.gif

Happy Birthday, Mel!!!

Umm... ;)

Well, I need to get my act together. I have my second actual tennis match today (you know, against strangers and counting on my USTA record.) I'm once again really nervous, though I don't know why, because losing isn't a big deal. :rotfl:

But, I'm driving another teammate and so I need to make sure the van is decent, at least, and then actually get my stuff together and get out of here in about a half an hour.

I got a haircut yesterday - I'll post pictures later, maybe - and she kept the overall length but razored out a lot of it. The upshot is that I have no idea how I'm going to keep my hair out of my face for tennis, which is kind of an issue! It's cute, but I'm screwed. I can't see! :lmao:

The match ends at noon, but it's about an hour away, and they're supposed to feed us lunch, then I need to go quickly to the grocery store and somewhere to buy the one extra Wii remote that we're purchasing now, though that could wait until tomorrow.

So, have a great morning and early afternoon. :grouphug: The boys have yoga at 4:00, so depending on my timing before they get home, I may not be back until evening. :wave2:

I hope you don't fall over anything! I'd find a headband that works!

Well I'm all packed, I even fitted it in 1 case and it's 2 kg below the allowance :yay: I've also packed an extra bag just incase :rolleyes1 :rotfl2: I've also checked in online and have an aisle seat 2 rows away from Premium Economy so hopefully it'll be a bit quieter :thumbsup2

I've also cleaned downstairs and half of upstairs, made up the beds for my Mum and printed off all instructions for her. Oh and I've been to the supermarket and bought everything for the next 5 days.

I also have Jess off, she's got a stinking cold and is just chilling on the sofa, she HAS to go to school tomorrow though :rotfl2:

Sounds like you are ready. Have a great time!!!

So here's an interesting dilemma for the day...

I love that I'm finding a gazillion old friends from Buffalo on Facebook. :goodvibes BUT, what the heck am I gonna do when I get back up there for a visit?! I'm normally only there for a few days and that's barely enough time to see the couple folks I normally see. Now there's a whole bunch more I'd love to catch up with! Ugh. :guilty:
Eh, just have one big supper. Leave one seat open next to you and let everyone take a turn chatting with you!

Tomorrow. I'm turning 37.

Take a page from the politicians and DENY DENY DENY.

Were you in Buffalo? NO

Did you visit anyone? NO

Are you coming back soon? NO

LOL

MEL
:rotfl2: :rotfl2:
Are you denying that you just told us you are going to be 37. Or is that just misleading information?

I'm trying to get as much work in as I can before I blast out of here at around 2:30. I need to then head over to DD9's school to pick her and some classmates up. I'm chaperoning an overnight field trip to the Atlanta zoo. I think we'll have about 5 parents and 2-3 teachers. So, no computer access for me for most of this evening and tomorrow morning. :faint: I'll probably start feeling the withdrawal shakes at around 7 or so tonight. :rotfl2:

If I don't make it back here before I head out to the field trip, everyone have a wonderful day! :goodvibes And, tomorrow AM! :goodvibes

Have fun at the zoo!

*********************************************************************
I won't bore you with the details of today's events. Mostly domestically related.
Doug stayed home for a couple of hours this morning. He's feeling lousy. I told him to just take the day off. Nope. So now he'll be in a fowl mood tonight.
I'm whipping up some steak fajitas for him. He didn't want rice and beans so I'm fixing mexicali macaroni instead. Now I bet he won't even be able to eat.
I might have to bake some cookies again!

Off to the drudgeries of life!

BTW I did update my TR. I haven't had time to look at everybody else's. I will tonight!

"I tripple-dog dare ya'!"

Mitch called right after he left this morning to tell me there was frost on the roof! :eek: Then he said not to go out until the sun came out. :rotfl2:

Yeppers, here too - all our roofs were FROSTED when we left for school/work this morning! Brrrrrrrrrr.

O.K... somebody needed to call FEMA or Bush, or Obama, or who ever your Govenor is there in Florida...I checked the national media... why is there not

Dawn- Good going! 4000 is a lot! I still can't figure out how I got up to 1000. :rolleyes1
one post at a time... and NO MULTI-QUOTING..

at least that's what I was telling Rachel a few months ago.
Also great for uping your "post count" here too and aiming for that coveted "Chattiest Focker Award";)

I'll probably want to get your collective thoughts on our DVC plan. Yup. We're one step closer to taking the plunge. I think Mrs. T has her heart set on BLT assuming we do it. We're thinking about getting two contracts rather than one big one if DVC will allow it. We're not sure how the kids will feel about continuing to head back to WDW as they get older, so we were thinking about one contract with enough for a studio week and another with enough points to make up the difference between a 1-BR week and a studio week.

You and me both
I have looked at the re-sales.. I want to JUMP IN... but that "LOGICAL Katt"
says .. "uh... NO "... one of these days I'm gonna smack her

I feel like poop. See you all later. Oh...it's strep. :sick:

MAN... You can not catch a break can you

:rotfl2: And here's how you KNOW I'm Floridian... first thing I said to Leo as we walked to the car was "Well, the roofs are frosted, but the plants and ground are just wet, so we don't need to worry about the strawberry crops yet." :rolleyes:

Have fun! We went this summer but I spend most of my time next door at the cyclorama. I had no idea what is was but very cool. :thumbsup2

Oh...it's strep. :sick:

Feel better. :hug:

Errrr only tell a couple at a time you're visiting???? Do they all know each other? Could you have one big group meet? :rotfl2:

Poor Jess! Going to school with a stinkin' cold....:lovestruc
I know whilst her cruel Mum swans off to Florida :rotfl2:

Jo- I'm glad Disney did as it should. You should be counting down hours in stead of days. :thumbsup2
I leave the house in 16 hours :yay: and fly in 19.5 hours :yay:

Hi FOckers. Finally got a chance to check in today. Man, these work people actually want me to work for a pay check:rolleyes:

Mel, Kristel and Kat I will check out the updates!:thumbsup2

Jo - You are almost there:cheer2: :cheer2: Also, talked to mom, and she wouldn't be able to get CSR, but thanks for the thought!

Jen - Feel Better

CE - Congrats on the Wii!:yay:

Angela and V - I have sent out the National Guard and the electric blankets for you:rolleyes1

==========================================================

Funny story. Last night Jimmy was singing Over the River and through the woods (they are learning it in music class) and at the end he always says the line from CHarlie Brown Thanksgiving "But my gransmother lives in a condominium). It makes us laugh. Anyway we then started talking about how Miss V and "Leo" live in a condo, etc. (He was upset because we couldn't go over the river and through the woods to get to their house:goodvibes ). Anyway he had a hard time remembering who Miss V and Leo were so I showed him a picture and I said there is Miss V and insertleosrealname here. Jimmy said oh yeah, I remember but his name's not insertrealnamehere...it's Leo:lmao:

wooo whoooo. jo leaves soon for disney!!! :woohoo:

hi everyone. i really need to get my butt in gear and get to the grocery store, but i am not feelin it today!!!

hope you feel better jen.

happy early birthday mel!!!

First of all, thanks for keeping the chatting to a minimum today! I only had two pages to catch up on! :thumbsup2

Went to the eye doctor today and ordered new glasses. I realized that my frames are at least 15 years old! I don't ever wear glasses though, so I never wanted to spend much to replace them. We've got decent vision coverage now though, so it's not too bad. I'll be sure to post a pic after they come in (in about two weeks).

I also bought myself some new shoes today for Eric's Christmas party tomorrow night. I bought some black pants on Monday, but they're a tad too long, so I needed some shoes with a heel on them. Found some at Kohl's for $24.99! Gotta love that!

DD4 is at a birthday party for about another 10 minutes, so I've got to go pick her up soon. I'll get to reading updates and all that kind of stuff when I get back. Hope everyone is having a great day! :banana:

Janet: that is the cutest story about Leo and Jimmy!

Jodi: Yay new glasses and shoes!

Hi everyone! Not much to report today. MIL cleaned the shower, both bathrooms, the freezer (took it all out, scrubbed it clean, put it all back) did laundry and is now crocheting me a scarf. Dude, she's superwoman.

I laid on the couch, talked with my sis and a friend, went to get a couple grocerie and the bank, and now I'm here.

LAZY!

Making baked chicken, couscous and squash tonight! I have to make my lists for Xmas cards, gifts, shipping, etc.....

MEL:banana:

I'm sure it's a perfectly comfortable natural habitat...:rotfl:
Well have fun and stop DISing ;) :rotfl2:

Jo - You are almost there:cheer2: :cheer2: Also, talked to mom, and she wouldn't be able to get CSR, but thanks for the thought!
So have I got to eat the fruit pastiles that I've already packed? :rotfl2: I suppose Jens kids might like a pack or 2 :thumbsup2

Jimmy said oh yeah, I remember but his name's not insertrealnamehere...it's Leo:lmao:
Awwww bless :rotfl2:

wooo whoooo. jo leaves soon for disney!!! :woohoo:
I know :yay:

Great buy :thumbsup2

OMG send her here please :rotfl2:

Well I've finally signed my contract, it had to be signed before I left for the airport and I only got the revised contract about 30 minutes ago, I managed to scan it and send it in, phew!!!!

I am just exhausted! Too tired to quote.

I was reading until about 4am and at 8:30am the landlord knocked on the door! I'm glad he came to check out the ceiling hole but I was far from coherent. KC was just getting out fo bed and getting ready for work so he was no help either!

He said he'd send the super up this afternoon to look at it/work on it. Well it 3pm and this is def afternoon, right?! I went back to sleep on my made bed for a little while but I am so tired. This guy sucks and prob won't come today!

Other than that I am going to caffeinate myself and try and start on my cards today.

Here's our finished tree...with my fav gift under it!
christmasdecorations016cx0.jpg

Cute cat Kat! ;) My kitties love to sleep under the tree as well, it is their little fortress of solitude under there behind all the presents.

A drive by hello! :car: Kat, your tree looks very pretty!! :santa: I love it when my cats are under my tree. it looks so cute!! Bale is a handsome boy! :cat:
I got asked to go to work tonite. so I`m off..good night!

Lovely tree Kat and how cute with the special pressie underneath :goodvibes

I'm off to bed in about 10 minutes to attempt to sleep, doubt I'll have time to log on in the morning so bye bye :wave2: I may be able to log in here or on FB whilst at WDW if not see you all on Wednesday :goodvibes

Angela and Jen I'll see you on Friday :yay:

CE- Baylie uses those head band things that are like huge pony tail holders with her pony tail. It holds back all the extras that fall out of the pony tail. Would that work? :confused3

V- I have the same problem. My mom wants us to spend all our time with her, so I don't see my friends much. I could stay over at a friend's house, but the kids would tell her, I'm sure. :sad2: I hate to stay over at my mom's b/c we all sleep in the same room. :headache:

Jo- You've been a busy bee! You're leaving so soon!!! :yay: Have fun!!!

Mel- I'll tell you happy birthday tomorrow, then. :goodvibes
Dang, your MIL makes me feel lazy. :headache:

David- I don't know how DVC works, but :yay: for you guys getting it! :)

Jen! You need a break! :sick: :hug:

Jodi & Katt- :flower3: :flower3:

Kat- Your kitty is so sweet. There's no room for my kitty under the tree since I wrapped the gifts already. But I bet the dog would chase her and all the presents would get messed up. :headache: This is our first year with the tree and gifts out with Riley. Last year he was in the crate with his broken legs. :guilty:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'm tired from our being out all day. My mom is supposed to come stay over tomorrow too for B's dance show at this festival in town. :faint: I need to clean! And I don't wanna!
So, a contacts question. I've had the contacts for a week now. They feel fine, but they don't help me see really. It feels like I don't have my glasses on. My Rx is so small, that it's passable, but shouldn't I see great by now? :confused3 I think I'll have to go back. :guilty:
Thanks everyone for the lovely comments about my tree and my fur baby!
The super came, finally. Of course it was after I was spread out on the coffee table doing my cards with carp everywhere, but at least he came. Luckily the majority of the problem is upstairs from me so I don't have to deal with him in my house! YAY!
I'm going back to my cards....
