Morning, all... :goodvibes
I'm hoping I'm on my way to healthy. I haven't had a fever since Saturday night. :thumbsup2 I'm wondering how long the queasy tummy will last. :confused3 The coughing is better, but not completely gone. I'm on my way, I think. :)

This afternoon we have to go get spacers and rubberbands for Baylie. :guilty: She has to keep them on for a week and it's supposed to be very painful. :sad1: I hate when she has pain. :guilty:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I still haven't figured out the 1TS thing for our anniversary dinner. I can't focus on it right now, I guess. :confused3 I could move Ohana back to that night and be done, so I may do that. No special, but food. ;)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
S'late-

Kate- My son's the same way. I want to ship him off when he gets sick. What a whiner! :sad2: I'm so thankful no one has gotten sick from me!

Jen- I hope you can get him in today.

But what do you push around the store? A shopping cart or a buggy?
A buggy, of course.
I really hope you keep the old dates as our trips would have overlapped a lot. I was picturing us getting our families together here at home so that we can meet. Then plan to meet at a pool or something once we're there. I don't know if that has any bearing on your planning, but if it doesn't, I can pout like the best of them.
Definitely we have to get together! My ds will be 8 in January - he is shy, but would get along with your kids. My dd will be 4 in January.

The "deal" is no good for me - I already have an AP, so no way am I buying a package with tickets included.

AP holders can benefit from the deal by choosing to purchase a 1 day ticket with the 3 nights free. Keep the 1 day ticket and use it as a credit the next time you buy your AP. We did this with free dining last year.

This would be for DS9. His meds were working great, but within the last 2 months, he has seemed rather sad (more than his normal subdued mood). His teacher had the nurse observe and she talked with him for a few hours and he told her he doesn't like his meds because it makes him feel really sad. The ped said stop taking meds as it can make depression worse and that he needs to see a psych. We are trying to get an appt, but it takes time. In the meantime, his teacher wants an instant fix. She even called a social worker on us.   The good thing is that they are tacked out at the moment and don't go back to school until Dec. 8.

My ds wants me to homeschool him next year. I mentioned it to him and now it's stuck in his head, but he is doing great in school and I don't think I can teach him all that he is learning right now. He's in an advance class and they dissected Owl pellets (he would never get that with me) and are learning stuff I've never heard of.

eeeewwww!

Sick child at my house...and he's been sick all weekend. But I've never met a boy who can go drama like #2. The silliness and fun drama are fine, but the woe-is-me-I-have-a-cold drama is making me crazy
Oh no hope he gets better quick for your sake :rotfl2:

Who does that, other than my dad?
And these ladies apparently :sad2:

so if anything's happened in between that I should know about, somebody please fill me in.
Well you missed me asking and getting advise about makeup, very girlie :rotfl2:

Trolley, boy that must be tough to push around the store...
Not at all, every one uses one ;) :rotfl2:

I can tell you are upset about missing golf:lmao:
I'm so sad especially as it hasn't stopped raining all day :rotfl2:

WTH that's terrible, hope it gets sorted

Fantastic :thumbsup2

How about The Wave at the Contemporary or Kona :thumbsup2

It has just rained here all day :sad2: and so windy too, I'm so glad I didn't have to play golf :rotfl2: Other than the Supermarket, where I used a trolley ;) I've done nothing, is that naughty :rotfl2:

Ooooh Naughty Brit! Bad Jo! (Kidding, I'm kidding! You are entitled to do nothing ONCE or twice a year, Jo!!!)

***************
Alright. Had my small amount of "**** time" and now I'm back at it! I drove Gus to school today! He was so excited. :goodvibes It feels really good to get back to normal... sort of.

Talked with my mom. She's coming for Tgiving. I sort of wished she wouldn't but now she is and well, I'm over it. She drives me batty but it's only 3 days... I'll live. :confused3

Bob is working from home today. I helped him plan out his business trip to Japan a bit. I got maps for the Narita airport, helped him find a hotel, got tourist info on the area of Tokyo he'll be in, etc. OH, and Tokyo Disney is only 45 mins away from his hotel! He said, "You want me to go to DISNEY the only day I'm in Japan with nothing to do!?" YES!!!!! OMG!!!!! How can he even ASK!? :sad2:

S'Late: So sorry about the meds and school stuff. Can you get your Ped. to call the Psych. and tell them it's an emergency so that they book you sooner??? I would say a child on meds who's depressed is CLEARLY an emergency!

I am going to call and make some Drs appts myself. Also, have laundry to do, banana bread to bake, dishes to put away and a couple of bills to pay. Busy Monday!

Hope you guys are having a great day.
MEL

OOops. And :welcome: to Brack! I'm Mel. I have two wonderful boys (15 and 11) and a great husband, NotBob. We love WDW, just bought into SSR last Jan. and live in Michigan.

The only thing you really missed was 10-12 pages of drunken spanish. Otherwise it was a quiet weekend!:thumbsup2

EXCUSE ME???? I just read 11 or 12 pages from yesterday and this morning ALONE, and there was no Spanish. I wasn't even here. Don't be blaming us. :snooty: :rotfl:

Jeez, people, we HAVE been chatty, drunken languages notwithstanding. :rotfl: Como estan?

Hi, Brack, I'm CE. SAHM to 6 year old twin boys, wife to a corporate pilot, live in NH, grew up in IL. When DH is home, he's home, but when he's gone, I'm alone, so I go in spurts of being on here ALL the time, then being off the computer a lot.

S'late, that's nuts.

Janet, good luck with the furniture.

TE, sorry about the eggs. :rotfl:

Mel, glad you had a good weekend, bad movies and all. ;)

Jo, so sorry you didn't get to play today.

Mo, hugs for Bonnie, I remembered her immediately.

Hi, T, Z, V, Rachel, Jodi, Katt, Mr. & Mrs. T, Rosie, Mary, Kate, Dawn, Jen, Jen2(sorry about Jon) and if I left someone out, I'm SO sorry. I have 12 pages in my head... ;)

###########################################
D is home, now, for a whole week. Sigh. So I will be missing a lot this week.

But, tomorrow is our 8th anniversary, :goodvibes so we are going out tonight. The boys had school today, but don't tomorrow, so the sitter is also free.

We're off to the mall, so I'll try to check back later.

Love y'all! :grouphug:

If you had to choose between CSR and CBR.. which one would you choose , Not Choose and Why ??

Busses, Noise, Food options, Pools.. Whatever.

Katt I've only stayed at CSR and the pluses are the buses are great, as it's a convention centre it makes the buses quieter oh and the pools too. It's quite large though but so is CBR. It's very pretty and the food court, once you know how to use it, is good value for money :thumbsup2

I have made that choice - CBR all the way.

LOVE the theme and grounds. Pirate pool is Leo's favorite at WDW.
Good food court for us - we always find something good. Newly-refurbished rooms are fantastic, and rooms are a tad bigger than other Mods.
Nice central location.
Hands- down some of the best customer service on property.

Why not CSR? I do choose it sometimes for a single night, but not longer stays. Not overly keen on the interiors of rooms, though the grounds are lovely.
Customer service has always been the pits for me.
HATE Pepper Market. Hate the food, hate the prices, hate the service.
Pool is okay, nothing all that fantastic.

Rooms have been clean in both, though, which is my primary concern and is what places both CBR and CSR ahead of POFQ/POR in my book.

We ate a CS there last year.. it is confusing.. HOWEVER.. their Strawberry slushies are the best I have had anywhere

Hi Fockers.

How is everyone today. I just spoke to Bonnie and she really does sound good. Hopefully going home in a few days.

Again, thanks for the well wishes.

So, there is this guy at work and everyday he eats Lean Cuisine Mac N Cheese. EVERYDAY. UGH, that smell really is getting to me.:scared: I even joke with my VP that lunch time is now called Mac N Cheese time.

Ok, I have to get back to work, later Fockers

I knew you would have imput here.. Have narrowed down my June Trip to these two. Unless the sensible 98% of me gives in and we go back to ASMu.

Really wanted to stay at AKL.. While we can do it.. Once again.. that 98% says DON'T DO IT !!!!
Boy... is that 98% Loud:rolleyes:

One more reason I prefer CBR to CSR: sink/vanity areas. I like TWO sinks and plenty of storage. CBR delivers, CSR doesn't.

Yes, I'm very picky! :rotfl:

I am keeping my legs up and have been peeing a bit more than usual today. Any guesses what is causing this? Should I be worried?
Honey? Call the Dr. today!
My real name is ...... Brack

I've been married for 36 years. We have one son (35yo) who lives in Dallas with his wife

My DW and I both are ministers in The Salvation Army so we move around the south a bit. We love Disney and go as often as we can ... usually at least twice a year (4 times this year! )

I am the only DISer in the family though. I am always looking for a fun thread and this one fits that mold.
Hi Brack! And :welcome: My name is Tracy, but they call me "T" 'round these parts. I'm from So. Cal, SAHM of 2 kids ages 4&7. We just recently purchase DVC w/ AKL as our home. :thumbsup2
From the resorts I've seen, I'm an AKV girl at heart.

So inspired that we are buying in!
COMO SAY WHAT????!!!! When? :cheer2:

They shut the course so we didn't play Trouble was we were unable to get hold of the opposition, they had their cells switched off :confused3 so they made the hours drive and had to go home again, whoops. But hey I'm pleased as it's still chucking it down and really windy!
:lmao: Sucks to be those chicks!

Is this just a boy child who does this?? Evan's the same way ... but then so is Andy. It's a male thing, I guess. :confused3
Who does that, other than my dad?
My dad and my mom! :sad2:

What's up with that? You'd think they'd be a little more symphathetic, no? :headache: I'm sorry you're going through this S'late.
Dude, I was all set to... and then realized I left my camera at home! No pics = no story. Tomorrow, though, for sure.
:headache:
Morning, all... :goodvibes

Glad to hear you're getting better, Dawn!

This afternoon we have to go get spacers and rubberbands for Baylie. :guilty: She has to keep them on for a week and it's supposed to be very painful. :sad1: I hate when she has pain. :guilty:
Oh no! Poor thing! The spacers were the most painful thing EVER! I wanted to get a hammer and knock my teeth out! Give her a tylenol BEFORE you go to the Ortho - it won't be as bad. I go back on the 20th for tightening. :guilty:

My ds wants me to homeschool him next year. I mentioned it to him and now it's stuck in his head, but he is doing great in school and I don't think I can teach him all that he is learning right now. Happy Anniversary, CE & D!

Have fun ... doing .... what ever it is ... you do. :rolleyes1

This does not make me feel better. ;) I promised a milkshake for dinner and I'm stocked up with soups, tapioca, and yogurt. I planned on giving her Aleve before we leave.
Did you find tylenol or advil worked better?

Hi all. Sloooooooooooooooooooowwww day here at work. A lot of people took vacation days today, since we are off tomorrow.

Mo - Glad Bonnie is feeling better:goodvibes

CE - Happy Anniversary:goodvibes . Jim and I were married 8 years in July. The happiest 80 years of my life;)

Where is everyone:confused3

Looks like Mrs. T hopped on here before coming up to bed...I sort of wondered why she didn't make it upstairs until almost midnight. :surfweb: I'm sort of in stealth mode at the office at the moment. :cool1:

I called to make my reservations for our June trip. I really have my heart set on staying at BCV because we are going for SWW, but they don't have anything available. They do have BWV available, but I'm not a fan after our last trip because of the noise. I'm going to try to book the third week in June.
I really hope you keep the old dates as our trips would have overlapped a lot. I was picturing us getting our families together here at home so that we can meet. Then plan to meet at a pool or something once we're there. I don't know if that has any bearing on your planning, but if it doesn't, I can pout like the best of them.

Ditto on the hope that you end up keeping your old dates.

Sorry to tell you Jenny, but DD9 has you beat on whole pout thing. She got a double dose and really pouts better than either of us.;) So, Mary, we'll have to sick DD9 on you with the super pout.:rolleyes1

:welcome:
I'm David. DW and my kids have whole-heartedly jumped into my Disney obsession. I have to say it took very little arm twisting.

DW pops on here as well, as you can see from the quote above. We'll sometime be online in tandem. I dread to think if anyone tried to figure out some of our conversations after such sessions without the context of the posts.

===================================

I'll have to catch up the rest of the way later. Looks like it's back to official use of the office computing resources. :guilty:

The only thing you really missed was 10-12 pages of drunken spanish. Otherwise it was a quiet weekend!:thumbsup2

Hey, I thought we were calling it a therapy session? :confused3 Plus there was some drunken French among others. :rotfl2: Oh, and the most important part is that we learned that Rachel is a dental floss killer. ;) :lmao:

Thanks eveyone for the hugs. I tried to post about this last Wed. but couldn't see through the tears. Our pediatrician has been calling us everyday to check on us and took it upon himself to find a psych that accepts our ins. I'm waiting for several to return from lunch so I can make an appt. If we can't get one within a week, he will call for us to see if can cash in a favor.

I know those tears well my friend:hug: Keep us updated:hug: . Jimmy has his psych appointment tomorrow. The meds really seem to be working for him so I am grateful. We have not had one issue, other than he is a communist and was refusing to stand and say the pledge of allegience, since we have gotten the emeds regulated and moved him to public school!
