The girls are fine, obviously they'd like to come too but we get a trip as a family later in the year! Last year they stayed at CSR as it has conference facilities, not sure yet where we'll be!

A family trip to WDW, this year? When? Or are you talking about the trip to visit your sister in NYC?

Jen again: :hug: That's just scary on so many levels.

V: :hug: Like Jo said, You are a great mom.

So is there a mini meet being planned to meet Jo? My friends and I want to go to Disney in Dec and were planning the week of the 8th, but maybe I can get that weekend off too. :magnify:

I agree with all of slate's propositions! :thumbsup2

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Alright girls, gotta run and do a whole bunch of errands.
Talk to you all later! :grouphug:
So, my appointment was cancelled by the doctor. The nurse called and explained that they are short-staffed today so they were going to send me to the main office. I asked what exactly the test was for and she said to measure lung capacity as related to asthma.
I explained that my lung capacity would surely be less now than normal since I am sick. The doctor agreed for me to come in once I was well to do the test.
She told me that the trouble I'm having taking deep breaths will be better with the inhaler he's put me on. So, I am headed down the healing road. :yay:
I haven't had a fever since Tuesday and I'm tempted to eat. I'm just scared. I ate apple sauce this am, but I'm tired of the same foods and drinks. :scared:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
On a different note, K had to lay off 4 people this morning. It's rough on him. He knows it's business, but he thinks about the guys' families and he feels bad. He already had to lay off 2 people a few weeks ago, so this second round will be a surprise.
The other office is doing even more layoffs and K may have to go up to Austin a few times a week if it gets ugly like they think it may. We are very lucky to have job security since K's the one who owns the license the company runs under. Several people have taken the test and failed. Repeatedly. :sad2:

Anyway... things are stressful for him now too.

:grouphug: :grouphug: to GoofyJen and V.

Oh V...:hug: to you. I'm so sorry. I wish I had advice for the motha...but we all know I'm not qualified to help with mother issues. ;)

As for Leo...you're a great mom. There are always going to be bumps in the road. We get through them...and we move on. You're a great mommy and you have a great son. He's fine.

And it's okay to cry. If ya never did it...then I may think something was the matter. ;)

:hug: :hug: :hug:

Happy International Jo Day everyone!

Thank you for all of the replies about Jon and our situation. I'm calling an attorney later this morning.

I have a call into the school...as I want to make sure that Jon does not become a target and I'm worried...

I'm better today. Jon will be fine, this I know. I just don't want him to be scared or hurt again.

Thanks again for all of your wonderful advice. I don't know what I would do without you.

V - :hug: :hug: :hug: I have alot I could say, but think I will send you an email later:hug:
Thanks Janet, and I'll take the hugs... shoot, that's all I wanted from my mother, right?! :rotfl:

Oh V :hug: You are a fantastic Mommy and don't you forget it, your little boy loves you so much and knows you do what you do for him :hug: :hug: :hug:
Thanks Jo :hug:

We're here for you whenever you need us. :grouphug:
That goes for you, too. :hug: It must be so hard for K. Are you feeling any better?

A family trip to WDW, this year? When?
Yeah, what Janet said! popcorn::

V: :hug: Like Jo said, You are a great mom.
:grouphug: :grouphug: to GoofyJen and V.

Good, keep us posted. :hug:

11/30-12/4
CARP. Carpittycarpcarp. We really need to do a better job synchronizing our WDW days - I can't come over on the 30th and the rest are work days... and I'm out of vacation time. :sad2:

As part of being on the panel we get a trip for all 4 of us for 6 days at WDW, not sure what the restrictions are though :confused3

So is there a mini meet being planned to meet Jo? My friends and I want to go to Disney in Dec and were planning the week of the 8th, but maybe I can get that weekend off too. :magnify:
Don't get too excited, until I know what I'm doing I can't commit to any meets, hopefully I can though :goodvibes

So, I am headed down the healing road. :yay:
Yay :yay:

That's tough but at least his job is safe :hug:

Happy International Jo Day everyone!
Thanks :rotfl2:

:hug: :hug: :hug:

OK some people just don't get it do they?!?!?!? I spoke to David's sister and she just didn't see what an achievement and how great getting on the panel is :confused: :headache: :sad2: I'm happy so that's all that counts anyway right :rotfl2:

I'm cranky. I want to go back to the world. :mad:

My problem is we used our tax return money to go last time. We could do that again, but people in our family want us to do other things like visit them in Michigan and go to the beach.

We'd have to drive and I think that's possibly insane. Plus, how could I figure out where to stay along the way or how much gas will be? I think it's a 24 hour drive from here. :faint:

What's the shortest amount of trip I should consider decent? Ack!!!

Jo - You have to let us know when that little jaunt would be and would you tack on extra days?

Dawn - Did you mapquest the directions? You could mapquest them and then have it pick out points of interest on the way (a little education;) ).

I'm happy so that's all that counts anyway right :rotfl2:
EXACTLY! :hug:

See, this is when it pays to ahve alienated most fo my family - no one cares whether I come visit or not! :rotfl:

Totally do-able - I did the 24 hours to Buffalo and back - by myself no less - a few times. I like using AAA to map things out and look for hotels, but you can do teh same thing with Mapquest. You can do it it spans, so you'll knwo how many hours from point to point, than serach for hotels through Mapquest at those points. Take teh hotel names and search them on Tripadvisor to see how they rate. :thumbsup2 Mapquest will also tell you how many miles. Use that plus your vehicle's fuel rating to determine how many gallons of gas you'll need.

Oh! It's only 17 hours! Woohoo! :woohoo:

I can do a package in April 24-29th for $2108 with no ddp,(I'm over it), no hoppers and no waterparks. Don't you think we could eat and drive for less than $1000? :confused3
I'd like to "do it up" less and try to go more often.

Help?! I don't think Kirt will go for this...

What's between Pensacola and Tallahassee? There's got to be somewhere in between to stop for the night, right?

I'm thinking 12 hours driving the first day and 5 the next. Is that unreasonable? :confused3

I'm cranky. I want to go back to the world. :mad:
I see you're on to it :thumbsup2

That's GREAT, Jo! How exciting! :yay:
I know :yay: BTW if you want a little reading definitely check out the article I posted about last years training :thumbsup2

Jo - You have to let us know when that little jaunt would be and would you tack on extra days?
It's 5th to 9th December Janet and I'm hoping they'll let me fly on the 4th, I won't add any other days on though, the girls would kill me :rotfl2:

Help?! I don't think Kirt will go for this...
You never know, good luck :hug:

Good Morning Fockers! :wave2:

No time to catch up, but wanted to say Hi!

V & Jen: :hug: :hug: :hug: Pssst.... Bangladesh, sisters. Bangladesh. ;)

Jo: WOOOOOHOOOOO!!!!! :banana: I'm beyond happy for you! I checked out the email they sent you. I can't wait to hear all about your Dec. experience.

Mel, Dawn, Katt: Hope you all are feeling better! :hug:

Z & Slate: :wave: Hola, strangers!!!

@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

So I did it! I cut all my hair off. Well, not all of it, but a LOT of it. It's above my shoulders, for sure. I haven't had it this short in years. Maddie says I look like Emily Strange. :lmao: Evan and Waldo don't like it, TE loves it and Andy's hovering somewhere in the middle. :rolleyes:

I'll try to post pics later today - have to get Evan off to school now.

Have a great day, all! :grouphug:

Well at least I'm not the ONLY ONE WITH DISNEY FEVER.. Scott has it... and that is SUPER SUPER WEIRD.

Well.. you have been to Disney before... 4 days is like the Minimum for having any fun. It's hard on people when they have never been and try to cram it all in , in 4 days. Preference is 8 days.. but that's a lot of $$$ unless you go several times and have the annual pass.. which we do not right now.

OBVIOUSLY.. I am back from the Dr... which was a total waste of time... as their Lab was closed I could go to the Main Clinic.. but since they also want a Cholesterol check and I need to have not eaten I guess I'll wait till Monday... Grrrrr.. I could have gotten some house work done today that did not happen yesterday as BOTH SCHOOLS CALLED and Both kids were home by 11:00 :headache:
So two days wasted. She did give me a Steroid shot... and a potassium suppliment... as I must be critically low. :scared:

She gave me possible options for the way I have been feeling... none a suprise.. One kind of scary...

Arthritis, Rheumatoid Arthritis.. or .. the big kicker.... Lupus.:scared:
All can be explained with my symptoms...
I'm hoping for just plain old ... Old Age Arthrities....

Nope 12 hours is reasonable... If we can do it.. with a kid with Autism... who has trouble going 2 hours in a car.. I KNOW YOU CAN DO IT.

So you want to go and Celebrate MY Birthday IN Disney...
How Sweet;)

I just did a Mapquest from Pens. to Tall. and found a bunch of Holiday Inns along the route. :thumbsup2

Nope, that's exactly what we did when we went to the NC mountains and it worked well. We started out at 5am the first day so we got to a hotel at a decent time.

So I did it! I cut all my hair off. Well, not all of it, but a LOT of it. It's above my shoulders, for sure.
No way?! Cant' wait to see! :yay:

Katt? I'm not saying it's not any of those things, but every one of those was posed as a possibility for my achiness (and other symptoms), too. I tested negative for the rheumatoid and they said there wasn't much they could test for Lupus. Wound up putting me on thyroid meds... and it turns out there was nothing wrong with my thyroid. Like I said, I wouldn't negate anything they say right off the bat, but give it a critical look and ask LOTS of questions. It could also be a food allergy, believe it or not. :hug:

Well shoot. It seems to be catching.

I started off thinking "Hey, I need a do-over... think I'll join my friends at EP this Sat. for F&W extravaganza 2008!" Fine. Good. Great.

Only, now I'm pretty darned sure I want to spend the night. Still okay - I can get ASSp for $85.

Only... now I'm thinking I deserve a treat after all the carp I've been dealing with. A treat that comes with room service breakfast, valet parking and a fitness center. And lovely lobby/outdoor areas in which I could park for the day Sun. and do school work on the laptop.

Can I afford said treat? Basically yes. Should I spend that money elsewhere? Any good finance expert would say YES! Do I care?

Not so sure. :rolleyes:
