I was all set to book WL through AAA and had a nagging feeling I should give the WDW website discounted link (at the bottom of the homepage) a try. Well, lo and behold, up pops GF at $483 :faint:, but tucked behind it is an alternative offer... for BWV... a studio (read: SOFA!)... for the same price as WL through AAA! I've never booked anything so fast in my life. :rotfl:
Wooohooo sounds great V :thumbsup2

BTW anyone noticed my siggie? :rotfl:

I was just making a ticker :goodvibes :rotfl:

OK well there will be a panel of 16 "moms" (well I suppose 1 of them will be a Mum ;) :rotfl:) if you go to www.disneyworldmoms.com you'll see what they do!

I have to attend a training from 5th to 9th December and reading last years account of it it will be fantastic. I have to answer a minimum of 18 questions a week, I think, which should be fine as I'm on the internet loads anyway :rotfl: We're allowed to give our own opinions and not the "Disney" view so it's a good unbiased panel :)

Errrr McDonalds aren't doing brekkie here any more it's too late, can get you a Big Mac though ;) :rotfl:
Ok......well a hot fudge sundae with nuts! :lmao:

WOW! You get to come to WDW in December??

Where are the other moms from??

What steps did u go thru to get on the panel? How long did it take??

How long are you on the panel?

What perks do you get???

Jo, the town folk would like to make a list of issues for you to address with the royal court....I mean Mom's Panel:

1. get rid of the wheat buns
2. turn those nuggets back into strips
3. put the tip back in the DDP
4. more resort choices for fams of 5
1--3 and 4 are ok....I like the wheat buns......no opinion on the nuggets!

I would like a monorail connection to POR.

Sorry - that was quite a ramble. I guess I'm still getting things out of my system. This grown-up stuff is freaking HARD. Makes me want to run away and follow the Dead again...
  Parenting is never easy. You just have to do the best you can---also, I've learned they don't seem to remember much about K and 1st grade so don't sweat the small stuff too much! I'm still trying to convince BA she was in TX then! ;)

Here's what happened.

This will probably be long.

Oh, Jen. I am so, so sorry, but I agree with everyone else. I am not surprised to read on that you've already started with stuff this morning.

My DS11, is getting bullied yet again.

Oh, S'late, that is sad.
Hi everybody else!!!!!

Hi, Kristel - looks like a fun Halloween!

I have to attend a training from 5th to 9th December and reading last years account of it it will be fantastic. I have to answer a minimum of 18 questions a week, I think, which should be fine as I'm on the internet loads anyway

This is SO awsome!

I am guessing my Potassium is LOW again.. but I have never had it get like this.

Oh, Katt, I'm sorry and of course now I've read that you didn't get any answers. to you.
I finally received my "itemized" bills from the hospital yesterday. It's really amazing to see how much individual things cost! For example....

Shaver Blade - $48.60
Warm blanket for upper body - $85.32
Urine pregnancy test - $57.24

I know, isn't that nuts? :headache:

It's nowhere near the same extent, but the bullying has started with Leo at school, too. You know he's little and has those gorgeous eyes - some jerky older kid's been calling him Tinkerbell. Leo doesn't seem too bothered by it, so we're just going with a "ignore the kid and tell a teacher if he won't stop" approach, but I figure it's only a matter of time before a bigger bully gets on him.

Oh, no. My friend here just said her daughter's been being name called everyday in the bus line, too - what is up? I certainly don't remember this as a kid.

It was a helluva night around here.

Oh, V. Sometimes you do need to let it go, but I'm sorry that Gramma didn't just let it happen.    You know you're a great mom and we love you.

So, I am headed down the healing road.

Good!

On a different note, K had to lay off 4 people this morning. It's rough on him.

Poor guy, I'd hate that, too.

As part of being on the panel we get a trip for all 4 of us for 6 days at WDW, not sure what the restrictions are though

Dang, just when I thought we'd be taking the year off... ;)

That's so cool, though!

OK some people just don't get it do they?!?!?!? I spoke to David's sister and she just didn't see what an achievement and how great getting on the panel is

She's obviously just clueless. WE'RE excited. :goodvibes

I'm thinking 12 hours driving the first day and 5 the next. Is that unreasonable?

Our drive to my mom's is 17 hours in the car, and that's what we try to do. That way, when the kids start complaining about a second day in the car, we don't have as long to listen to it. ;)

So I did it! I cut all my hair off. Well, not all of it, but a LOT of it. It's above my shoulders, for sure.

I can't wait to see it!

She gave me possible options for the way I have been feeling... none a suprise.. One kind of scary...

Arthritis, Rheumatoid Arthritis.. or .. the big kicker.... Lupus.
All can be explained with my symptoms...
I'm hoping for just plain old ... Old Age Arthrities....

Oh, no - don't get too worried before you hear, though. As V says, it could be a number of things.

Can I afford said treat? Basically yes. Should I spend that money elsewhere? Any good finance expert would say YES! Do I care?

Not so sure.

Run away from home, for a night. ;)

Birthday April 25

That's funny - D's is 4/26 and the boys are 4/27. It's birthday mania week!

Namath goes back to the vet tonight, been dreading this appointment for 2 weeks, hopefully the meds are working and no surgery.

Fingers crossed for you. And I assume that the VP depending on you means a lot of work, no?

****************************************
I had my tennis class this morning and then I did a little stationary bike as well. They have these two new ones in the fitness room that have screens like a racing video game (or the running on Wii Fit) and you follow a pacer. When you go uphill, the pedaling gets harder, etc., and it has motion senstive handles for steering and gear shifts. It's SO fun! I wish the treadmills were like that, too! :rotfl:

So I figure that 2 hours of exercise today is plenty. :faint:

Now I have no plans until Buzz's swim lesson at 5:00. It's a balmy 61 today, which is great - except that it's pouring rain. :headache: :lmao: So, I'm not feeling very awake or very motivated now.

I need to get the dog out, whilst getting the mail and the trash cans back in, and I need to shower, but mostly I want to play on the computer. ;)

Oooh! Dr. Belle may be able to pay me to do some computer work for her next semester. Nothing's set yet, but she may have a project which would involve someone looking at something like 300 websites, and she thinks she could get the money to pay me. Perfect, as it would be whenever I had time to work on the computer... :thumbsup2

Anyway, I'm going to do my chores, but I hope everyone has a nice afternoon, the sickos feel better, the bullies get suspended, and the DIS kids get happy. :grouphug:

Can I afford said treat? Basically yes. Should I spend that money elsewhere? Any good finance expert would say YES! Do I care?

Not so sure.
I smell pineapples in your future. Psst.... Poly! ;)
We won't be going again until next summer now.
I thought you had a Christmas trip planned? :confused3

BTW... You Gals are the Best.. I never had a Sister.. Till I found Y'all

I second that. :thumbsup2
Is there an easy way to figure out 180 days, or do I really have to sit with my calendar? [/COLOR]
Was going to send you the link, but looks like Mrs. Mom's Panel already jumped on that one. :lmao: ;) LOVE YOU, JO!
So, here's what I'm thinking (look away, T) a nice, casual trip. One without fancy restaurants and lots of character meals... time to slow down and enjoy what we may have missed last time.
I think I drank the Koolaid... I'm all about the slow trips now. I'm in the planning stages of next years trip and it's so kick back, it's scaring me! :lmao:
Hey, I thought you didn't speak Spanish. WAIT! I understood that Spanish, am I drunk?
:rotfl2:

Me too! I did it about 4 weeks ago.
Pics, woman!
T - want pics, um NOW!
Ummm... I'm make-up less.... let get my Tammy Faye on and then I'll post a pic.

Hope your back up to par soon, Mo. You've got some trip planning to do! :thumbsup2 BTW, loved the Waldo siggie line! :lmao:

Hey Fockers just saw this on the Budget board, look at post #15

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2001848
Whoa! I wonder if I can get Andy to bite on that one. :scratchin: Hmmm... that didn't come out right, but you all KWIM. :lmao:

Great deal, V! :thumbsup2

That's the first thing I noticed! Love it! :thumbsup2

Anyway, I'm going to do my chores, but I hope everyone has a nice afternoon, the sickos feel better, the bullies get suspended, and the DIS kids get happy. :grouphug:
Hey CE!

ACK!! Gotta run to the school - it's my volunteer day! Catch you chicks later! :grouphug:

Haven't read T's post yet, but I signed up for amazon.com's text alert when they have Wii's in stock, and they do as of right now. I got one! Normal price, not eBay price. Worth a try if any of you are looking. :thumbsup2

OMGosh! I might be booking a trip today! Mo's link just about did it for Kirt!
So, I need to figure out crowd levels now...

I knew where to find all this info, but now I've lost it all. I wasn't planning a trip until 2010!

Any hints on where to get crowd levels? :flower3:

Here's a copy of the deal that's supposed to start at 5EST TODAY!!!

But V...if you do go to AKL, I have a HUGE favor to ask.

I'll be at AKL, what do you need?

s'late - HI, how are you these days, Or do I need to type in Spanish for you to understand me

Only if you type mas tarde. Nope, I'm sober; you'll have to ask in French, to which I will reply comme ci comme ca.

Hey Fockers just saw this on the Budget board, look at post #15

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2001848

There is a huge thread on the codes and rates board that's been going since yesterday. It's up to 40 pages.

December trip is off. We decided not to go about a month ago...but I was hopeful we might pull it off. No dice.

It's just not a good time right now with everything we have going on...my 2 jobs...Jon and his needs...etc. etc.

But, now that those codes are out I'm thinking I should book for spring break!!!

:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

OK some people just don't get it do they?!?!?!? I spoke to David's sister and she just didn't see what an achievement and how great getting on the panel is  :headache: :sad2: I'm happy so that's all that counts anyway right :rotfl2:

Awesome!!!! We can't wait to find out when you're coming!

Your SIL is a bonehead. :sad2: We'll celebrate with you!

I'm cranky. I want to go back to the world.

My problem is we used our tax return money to go last time. We could do that again, but people in our family want us to do other things like visit them in Michigan and go to the beach.

We'd have to drive and I think that's possibly insane. Plus, how could I figure out where to stay along the way or how much gas will be? I think it's a 24 hour drive from here. :faint:

What's the shortest amount of trip I should consider decent? Ack!!!

I use the AAA website, as V mentioned. It calculated our gas costs almost EXACTLY for our June trip. We drove two 13 hr. days back to back from MI. NotBob says NEVER again. However, you should know that we do our trips back to MA in one day ALWAYS and it's about 12 hours. That's totally doable! I'm so excited for you!

At least 4 days in WDW, I think. That would be good for someone who's returning...

Sorry to hear about K's work. Things are hard all over, right?

See, this is when it pays to ahve alienated most fo my family - no one cares whether I come visit or not! :rotfl:

Yep. Me too, V!

What's between Pensacola and Tallahassee? There's got to be somewhere in between to stop for the night, right?

I'm thinking 12 hours driving the first day and 5 the next. Is that unreasonable? :confused3

Dang, I answered THIS post above....:lmao:

Mel, Dawn, Katt: Hope you all are feeling better!

So I did it! I cut all my hair off.

HI T!!! I'm feeling ok! :thumbsup2
Can't wait to see pics of your hair.

Like I said, I wouldn't negate anything they say right off the bat, but give it a critical look and ask LOTS of questions. It could also be a food allergy, believe it or not.

What V said, Katt. I was on medication for YEARS for Ulcerative Colitis and it turned out to be a MILK intolerance! Seriously, I took 9 pills a day for years and all I had to do is STOP having dairy. :sad2:
I feel MUCH better now and I haven't had a pill in over a year.

I was all set to book WL through AAA and had a nagging feeling I should give the WDW website discounted link (at the bottom of the homepage) a try. Now I'm in close proximity to EP, have a wide array of areas to study in the next day, AND (Kate, here's the good part...) can easily get to/from ESPN to watch the Sat. night GATORS GAME!!!!!

This really is a treat :goodvibes

GO V! You need to take time for you too! I think it sounds lovely. Wish I could book the studio next door to you and relax too!

Hope you have a wonderful time. As far as the overwhelming night, there's no shame in letting yourself feel bad sometimes. You do your job, you care for Leo, you go to school. That's ALOT. You're entitled to feel bad sometimes! My mother is so self-absorbed sometimes and she really does NOT understand my emotional reactions to things. I think that it's probably a good thing that I don't make sense to her. If I did, I'd worry more!! :rotfl:
You know we're here for you. (Of course, so is BWV, so go there!!! We'd be there with you if we could!)
LY. Have some

**********************
I got the whole house cleaned. Yay ME! Even with Bob sitting at the table working!
My friend, Cyndi, brought over lunch for us from the cafe. It was SO good! I miss going out for lunch.
This afternoon Bob is picking up SD to go to the psychologist. I have a pork loin cooking in the crockpot. I'll make something to go with it later, I guess. I have to figure out how to get Gus home from school, I didn't remember to line up a ride for him! OOPS!

Jo, that video was just awesome! How special. Oh, and I like your siggie.

Well, that's all I have for now. We never got to watch our movie last night, so maybe tonight. It's gorgeous out today. I think it's around 70 degrees! However, Saturday's high is going to be on 40 and they are predicting snow/ice. BLECH.

You guys have inspired me. I'm going to book a small me and Bob only trip to WDW for February. Maybe for Valentine's day...?
I also need to book my ADR's for our Jan. trip. I'm thinking about doing Flying Fish this trip. What do you guys think?

MEL:banana:

Sorry, I have a one track mind right now, but for those of you with Wii's, what accessories do I really need? I picked up the Wii Play with the extra remote as well (and I'm bidding - not overly high, only $5 over "real" price - on a Wii Fit from eBay). What do you find useful as far as the chargers, extras, etc.? Thanks!

Mel, dinner sounds good, want to come make mine?

Gosh, everyone's going to WDW but me... ;) I honestly do not know when we'll go back, at this point. :(

OMGosh! I might be booking a trip today! Mo's link just about did it for Kirt!

Well since you guys can ALMOST go ANYTIME....:rolleyes1

Other than Presidents day week/weekend.. I do not think the crowd levels are bad at all. Jan-March are a slower time UNLESS EASTER is in March.

Now granted. Spring breaks can go from Mid March to late April.
The GREAT DEAL ends the end of March. ( if it holds true):confused3

I was even looking at the school calendar trying to see if I could wrangle a stay myself... :rotfl2: I guess I can always book Mid June... AGAIN... :headache: and Keep options open for Aug 16-21. Wanting to rent points and stay at OKW Studio. They still have openings.

v--   you are a wonderful mom!! just remember that!

katt-- i hope you start feeling better soon.

angela-- i have the same b-day as mitch. april 3rd!! :thumbsup2

not much for me today. i'm taking a lazy day!! i have pt conference for regan at 530p. but that's it!!

i don't feel like doing anything!! :surfweb:

oh, and someone came to view the house last night. my realtor called this am and said they looked at 6 houses. they liked ours and another one. they're going to think about it!! she said they're not the fastest movers so it may be a week or so. but, i'm so excited!! it's not even been on the market for a week!! woo o whoooo!!:woohoo:

Hey Rach... How many "Lookers" have you had... and when are you having an OPEN HOUSE??

That's great! :thumbsup2

thanks!!

Hey Rach... How many "Lookers" have you had... and when are you having an OPEN HOUSE??

first loookers yest. and no open house! they've had problems with people breaking into houses for sale and stealing all the copper piping!!:scared1: the realtor said they get a lot of riff raff coming to open houses in groups and sort of "stake it out" (sp?) so they don't like to do open houses. she said if someone is serious about buying it, they will make an appoinment. kinda scary!!

thanks!!

THat's a Shame... it is a way for semi serious people to get serious quick.. and gets more people looking.

Actually, we can't go until after we get our tax return (mid-February) and after dance season is over. I just can't pull Baylie out of 3-4 classes at competition time. So, that leaves April again. I think the end of April is the winner.:thumbsup2

Also, Katt, the deal is to travel through 6/27. Travelers after 3/29 won't get the $200 card though. :thumbsup2 Call and book too! Fockers, rush the phones!!!
