Hey all. Just hanging out until the new season of Top Chef starts @ 10pm! I found the furniture we got (Not the tables or lamps ).

This is the sofa and love seat. It is grey, but looks darker in this pic than it actually is

I will take pics when the whole room is done so you can see it all!

Kat's Pumpkin Bread

This recipe makes 2 large or 3 medium loafs so adjust accordingly.

• 3 cups sugar
• 3 1/3 cups flour
• 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 2/3 cup water
• 1 cup oil
• 4 eggs
• 2 teaspoons baking soda
• 1 teaspoon cinnamon
• 1 teaspoon nutmeg
• a pinch of cloves
• 1 can of pumpkin

Grease bottom of pans (up to 3) plus half of the sides.

Beat sugar and oil together. Add eggs.

in seperate bowl mis flour, baking soda, salt & spices together. (I sift them just to make the bread a bit lighter).

Add flour mix and water alternately to sugar mixture. Beat together well.

Beat in pumpkin.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Bake approx one hour. If pans are darker will take a bit longer, if light colored pans will take about 50-55 minutes. Doen when toothpick slides out clean.

It's his best friend and his BF's ex-wife's apartment. Yeah, you read that right. They were married, they both cheated on each other, got divorced and are living together now after she lost her mind and the house. Lots of lies and we got dragged into the drama. It sucked. I'm just not so forgiving. They lied to us too. Bottom line I'd rather be baking cookies!!

1 hour of work left. YAY! I'll try to pop on later today to see what kind of mischief you all are up to!!

We had um, acquaintances in El Paso who had been married. Got divorced. He married someone else to get her a green card, then divorced. She didn't marry another guy, but had a kid with him. Then they got remarried - I was there for the second wedding. So far this second time has stuck, but it always struck me as odd. And I hear they, um, swing, now, but they live far away, so who knows?

I hate this time of year; the weather is absolutely bi-polar! Today through Sat. am, it's in the mid-high 80s. Come Sun. it'll be down to the 40s or even 30s. Just pick a season dagnabbit!

In other news, I registered for next semester, which begins the final leg of my race for the finish line!!! Dance Across World Cultures and History of Western Architecture. Which translates into don't hold your breath thinking I'll ever finish my stupid TR!

I also found what looks to be a great place for Leo to take riding lessons! Only $20/lesson for beginners, so the price is right. I'm also thinking of giving Gramma a gift certificate to the place for a lesson of her own. And maybe one to me, too.

It looks like the funeral will indeed be Saturday, so the coroner's office will be done by Friday. I don't know if that's good or bad.

But it IS good that he can be there for it.

Golf for me today, it was a singles knockout match and I lost, it was a very close match though I then hit the supermarket and have finally sat down for the first time today, playing golf in the cold sure tires me out more than in the heat!

I know I'm overly trying to make it NOT jave been him doing the killing, but the more we talk about it - and the more I read comments from his friends posted after the online newspaper article - it just doesn't make a lot of sense. There was certainly no history of criminal behavior or fights between the two of them. I mean, anything is possible, but... Her family is shocked, our family is shocked. Usually you can kind of see some pattern before this kind of thing happens, and it just doesn't happen to be there.

GAH. I'm tired of thinking about it, and obsessively searching for ANY more info, but I can't stop - and now of course I'm thinking more sad things for D and his family who are starting to gather together.

You know Katt, the deal they have out now worked out better than the 40% code that I received so you don't need to get a code to get a good deal.
