i hope you mouth is feeling alright. I hate seeing all those bloody bandages. You didnt have stitches right? that will be good. i know i couldnt stop playing with mine.

My class this morning was cancelled so i got to sleep in. Then when i finally got up i felt like crap because mother nature brought me my special gift. So i stayed home for a couple extra hours, and drug myself to the bank and work. The atms on campus supposedly dont process checks at the same time as other atms around here, so i overdrafted on my trip to the grocery store the other day. i had a previously pending charge that went through AFTER the grocery store so they gave me TWO fees! $70! I was so mad. SO i went in after dropping the rent check off. They reversed one of the fees, which i am very grateful for. I could buy a lot with $35. or pay bills.

On the good hand, when i went to work it was nice and quiet. The pervy guy i work with is out on forced vacation today and monday, so i get some peace and quiet! BTW I talked to my supervisor and supposedly this guy has been spoken to before. If he says anything else, ill ask to be moved to another area. I happen to know of an opening in my old area.... So anyway, my brake lights dont work on my car now.(again) and we were discussing it when one of the guys goes and gets one of the men from accounting who gets his test light out and starts working on my car! So i figured the problem is really simple, and i just have to find some new housings online and maybe a new set of light bulbs. They arent making proper connections. But theres nothing wrong with my wiring and i now have one brake light! So overall that was really good news for Gator(the car). Usually his "doctor" visits cost around $400 and this one was free.

On another note im starting to get antsy about actually starting to plan my wedding. I've been engaged for 2 1/2 years and still no planning or any good discussion has even happened. I hadnt originally planned on waiting this long, but school, internships, academies and money all got in the way. i wanted to wait until after im done with school so ill have more time to think about it. Does life ever get less chaotic? Is it good that im waiting so long? Inside im really a traditional homemaker type of person, but i keep stifling it to take care of school. 2 more years seems like an eternity, let alone another 4 for vet school.

I feel way dumber now. LOL

It was fine though. I've never had ANY dental work in my life. I just had my first cavity and filling two years ago, at age 35. That one was only surface so they didn't even have to give me pain meds. I was totally unprepared for needles with Novocaine and the NOISES that happen when they YANK parts of you off!!!! The numbness is rubbing off now and the pain isn't too bad. I am sticking with Advil instead of the Vicodin they gave me a script for. I hate the way Vicodin makes me feel.

Not much planned for the weekend. Jimmy has his first TBall game tomorrow. He is excited becasue he should get his shirt and hat. Keep your fingers crossed that it doens't rain.

After that we may got to the mall, or just come home...we will see what mood we are in. I need to clean Jimmy's room and get the summer curtains up. I will probaly do that on Sunday along with the never ending

Good luck on his first tball game. We have a tball game too. chi did her cheerleading tryouts today and I am driving back to the school at 9 to see if she made it. i am so nervous. Tomorrow night we had a date night with another couple.

I'm sorry I haven't been around. My posts will be spotty at best the next few weeks. I'm waiting today to hear when our closing is going to be. We're guessing Friday the 8th!

I'm making frantic calls and appointments, but I'll check in again later with the "for sure" closing date.

Well I was coming on to tell you all the good news- I got an interview with that store I applied to last week! It's this Thursday at 11:15am.

Then a bad thing happened today. The vet called. KC just came home with Bale's ashes. I didn't know it was going to send me into a relapse of sadness. URGH. The ashes came in a pretty box with flowers on it, but we are going to the store and get something a little more suited for a boy cat. Then I can display the container on the tv unit. Man it just sucks.

Anyways I'm going to get dressed and get outta here before I change my mind and end up crying on the couch all day. Have a great Friday everyone!

I've just found that I burnt my arms today, they're pink it was so sunny so I should have really put sun cream on but hey it's England and only 1st May

Hey Peeps!!!

I just got off the phone with a wonderful CM. The total on the 2 MNSSHP tix was $114.76. ($4 for shipping on them. I want them in my hands.) I added $106.50 for the PH on my base tix. She said I will get my yellow tags for ME in about 30 days as well as the tix for MNSSHP!!!

I'm in a pickle on the MNSSHP. On the one hand, I do love to dress up and so does Rockie. On the other hand, I want this to be a surprise, it will be hot, and I don't want to take up space in my luggage with a costume. I've been looking at mouse ears and funny hats that I could order ahead of time. OR...We could just buy something there. It would cost us though.
Any ideas?

I saw some cute costumes last year. It was a group of 5-6 adults. they had brightly colored t-shirts with the letter "M" on them. I asked them about it and they cut out the "M"s out of white contact paper and just stuck it on. they looked so cute and comfortable as a bag of MMs

To the second part of the question...no life doesn't get less hectic

As for the wedding plans, you have to do what you and DF WANT to do. If that means waiting until after you are done vet school, so be it. THe length of an engagement doesn't matter, the actual wedding doesn't matter, what other people think doesn't matter...do what you want. If you want to get married now, and its financially feasible - Do it. If it is better for you to wait until after graduation - do that! Don't let anyone else dictate what you and DF want/need.

I was just forwarded an email from a friend about someone I used to be friends with that has a brain tumor. They just learned of this two weeks ago, had surgery, and he had a stroke after the surgery. He is in the coma and is not expected to wake up. He has a one year old and a 4 year old.

Hi, all! I read through and wasn't going to quote, but then people started missing me and I felt I needed to comment!

I'm sorry. I have been reading as I can, but not having time to post. With the kids and D home 24/7, plus baseball and so forth... Sigh.

We had tennis class outdoors yesterday. It was SO pretty! I'm excited, except I forgot how much the clay from the courts sticks to sweaty bits.

The boys had baseball practice last night, then the opening parade of teams was this evening. I took them to get haircuts this morning and they did some shopping with birthday money afterward.

Then the parade happened (I'll post some pics later) and we grilled and watched Madagascar. They have been to bed SO late - 9:30ish - every night this week. Tomorrow the baseball game is at 9:00 a.m. and Sunday starts the 8:00 a.m. practices, so we should really get back to routine. Monday's going to hurt.

Tomorrow night we have a free movie night at the gym for the kids, but since it's free, we can't leave, so it's really just a big ploy to get parents to eat at the club restaurant. It's good food, though, and we're meeting my dearest friend, so I'm pleased! It's just too bad it's another late night for the kids.

OK, we're back to trying to catch up on TV we missed. I'll keep reading, but D isn't away until Wed., so I'll still be hit or miss.

(Oh, and I never left stepMIL alone in the house, so it was an uneventful visit, and she did indeed survive! )

Its almost 2AM and I'm still up. After reading about Janet and Jimmy and t-ball I completely forgot I had to get Lindsey's uniform in the wash for the Opening Day parade tomorrow morning. I hope nothing over flows by me doing the wash.

I called the plumber this afternoon and they said he would be here by 2:30. He calls me and tells me it will be later since he has to go to another job before he gets here. OK no problem, I'll be here. The guy shows up at 3 and is here for maybe 15 minutes then tells me he can't fix it and has to go get another guy to help him out with it. OK, fine, we'll be here. 6:00 rolls around and this guy never shows back up. I call the company and they have some other plumber call me and to see if he could help. He makes a few phone calls and calls me back and says nope, the guy with the snake on his truck can't be found and for me to call another company to help me out but please remember them in the future for plumbing problems. Uh yeah, sure...I highly doubt that will happen and will be telling everyone not to use them.

And nope...using the washer is out the question I just went to check on it and water is gushing every where, kitchen sink is about to over flow, and so is the sink in the bathroom. I am beyond pi$$ed at this point. I have a mountain load of dishes staking up by the sink, I couldn't even give the kids a bath tonight because that is clogged up as well and no laundry is getting done. UGH!!!!

Here's to getting someone in here tommorrow and that it won't be costing a fortune to fix. I'm sure we'll be charged more since its a weekend. UGH!

hi! Ive had an uneventful night of being glued to my computer screen!

DRAMA: today i was talking to my friend thats getting married. Im helping her plan her 21st bday. Itll be a luau but its only 2 weeks before her wedding so if figured id help. anyway, just now i got on facebook and got a message from her. someone (ahem my dear friend Tim) told her that i was upset about not being in the wedding party and was upset about being deemed the guestbook girl. I wont deny saying the alleged comment about guestbook girls, but i dont quite remember saying it either. This also happened about 2 months ago and i have sense come to my senses and decided to be the supportive friend who doesnt care, and will be there for her no matter what. i just recently got over being sad and wishing i were included. So after she hears i was upset she messages me apologizing, and trying to make amends. this is exactly what i was trying to avoid. the whole reason i would never say anything, and the reason that i sucked it up and thought about what mattered, supporting my friend during my wedding. GRRRR! i am so frustrated with Tim. He should have kept his mouth shut. thanks to him i had to write a lengthy mushy message back to my friend and get all upset again.

Sorry i ranted. I sometimes think i need a diary to go off in instead of on all you guys.

The new system went pretty smooth. I was in at exactly 4am and hung up at 4:15:29. Got everything except Spoodles. I think it's going to be under refurb at that time making the switch to Cat Cora's new place. My nephews are going to be bummed out!

Oh and I didn't get Narcoossee's either. Apparently I have to call them directly now? I'll do that later ... I'm going back to bed!

What did they do? I watched off and on while watching CSI and sort of got the gist of things but figured I could watch online to see it all. The last thing I remember watching was Izzie and her mom.

Plumber will be here at 11. My dad will be taking Linds to her Opening Day thing and hopefully DR and I can walk down to the ball fields after the plumber is gone. It's freezing out though!

Other than t-ball not much else is going on. I'm sick of looking at the mess in our kitchen. The dishes are stacking up and its making me anxsious just looking at it.

You're such a good mommy! I know how you feel. B and C both have try outs for the new dance team next week. C is a shoo in sinc she's one of the oldest on the team, but B is one of 20 trying out for 13 spots. I'm a nervous wreck!

They didn't put me to sleep. They are all up and through the skin. They didn't have to do any cutting. Only 2 little dissolving stitches in each "hole". They used novocaine to numb it and then gas to take off the "fear edge." I was fine. Didn't feel a thing (after the Novocaine needles, that is...)
Sorry about the plumbing. I'd report them to the BBB if it was me!

Hello. Last night was good. I took Advil at 6 pm and was fine all night. No pain at all. Even this morning, without anything. No pain. My Dr. called me last night to see how I was doing. So sweet. Didn't know Drs still did that!
I got up about 8 am and made homemade blueberry muffins and a pot of coffee. Delish. (Even though I had to soak mine in coffee and swallow it that way.....) I'm reading a funny book right now. It's called "Everything I need to know, I learned from Judy Blume." It's a collection of stories by women's authors (meg cabbot, etc.) about how Judy Blume books shaped their lives. It's hilarious!!! And pretty interesting, as I grew up with those books and still refer back to them on occasion!

Gus went to drums this morning. SD is still at John's house because his guitar instructor called and said he's too sick to teach. We don't need any colds etc so I told him, "You stay home. We'll see you next Sat!!!" Now Bob and Gus are painting the "Low Rent Bball Backboard." LOL

I'm off to pick up SD. You guys have a great day! Tomorrow is our 5K walk for Camp. Hope the rain holds off!
