I had fun at tennis, (smashed a lot of balls and also my own knee ) and then came home and showered. We went to a nice lunch (quiche and soup for me!) and then did a little light boutique shopping. Now we're home, as AIL & UIL decided NOT to book hotels in advance, hoping for cheap last minute deals. They are desperately trying to find something reasonable in the city - which is always hard.

The boys should be home momentarily, and then we'll have to head out to their tennis and plan to eat at the club.

So my throat felt weird last night and I took some drugs to make it go away. I woke up and it still wasn't so I have a feeling I'm about to get sick.

Hi!!! I'm so proud of myself. I went out and bought the Biggest Loser 30 day Jump Start book and the Biggest Loser Family Cookbook. I went walking and did the exercises they tell you to do on day one. I'm thinning out the junk in my pantry that I can't eat.

I got ds a personalized Pirates watch and I got dd a personalized Snow White jewelry box. I'm going to put out confetti and a welcome banner some time when they are away. I also booked them the pirate adventure that leaves from Yacht club.

Hello all. I skimmed but didn't retain much because KC had Heroes from last night playing next to me while I read.

Last night was LONG. Here goes.

The Midnight surprise cake.

The awesome new chair.

I went to the city early and got KC a card and a new hat. It was pouring rain and was really bad out but I made it to the restaurant about half hour early to let them know we had a party of 15 coming. It's a small place so they really went out of their way for us!

KC's "Soul Burger" (bacon, cheese, ham, onions, mushrooms and he got a friend egg on top of all that w/ sweet potato fries)

I had the same burger sans fries and the egg. I also had an egg cream. We ended up being 13 and then had 2 stragglers come in later. It was a really good time, we chatted and laughed and ate. The waitress surprised KC with this:

Before we left we had her take a group shot.

About half the group left because they had to work the next day but about 6 of us braved the raina nd went to a bar called "Cheap Shots" because they have a policy that if it's your birthday you drink free! So KC had a few drinks (i think 3 or 4) and one random shot that the bartender called the "I won't make it to work tomorrow" shot. Then we decided to go to a place nearby that had karaoke. There were only 4 of us left then.

They had gamers set up on the bar, it was cool. It was called "Solas".

But it was pretty dead so we stayed for one beer and decided to go to another karaoke spot a few more blocks away called "Lemon Grass".

This place was nicer and had more people. So the 3 guys set up to sing, I opted out, not being drunk enough after only 2 drinks. The 2 guys we were with are professional singers so it was a tough act5 to follow. I recorded KC singing but he was pretty tipsy so he cracked a lot.

We stayed until their last call (around 2am) and headed for the train. We parted ways and KC & I went on the train home. This is where it gets ugly. Suddenly KC is all kinds of drunk and dizzy and looks like he's gonna loose it on the train. Somehow we make it home (2 trains later) and he seems ok, until he got sick in the garbage pail by the bed. he felt better after that, and he passed out.

I felt sick all night, still do a little. I think it was a bad combo of a greasy burger, egg cream and then 2 drinks. I'm taking it easy.

Needless to say the shot from the first bar worked, KC stayed home today, and didn't wake up until 4pm. We both ate some toast and are just relaxing now.

LONG night. But all in all enjoyable (maybe not the last part for KC tho).

Not much else is gonna get done today I think, some cleaning up but thats it.

Dang, I remembered (or read it) wrong.

My knee is OK, but no joke, there's a bruise in the shape of the ridges that hold the strings on the outside rim of the racket, if you KWIM.

Went to IU Med. No change in Doug's brain tumor. Only 10% of it is left. They definitely want to keep him on the Temodar through the rest of the year and maybe into next.

He is being a baby about me going with him to see the doctor. I only got 4 hrs sleep today. I was a bear. I managed 1 hour before work. I wanted him to take his mom with him on the next appt. because it falls on a day I work. The doctor is only in on Tue and Thurs. Thurs. pushes his start time for the chemo back. He said I'm the only one who knows how to get there and he would rather I go with him. CARP! I didn't want to argue in front of the scheduler so I said fine make it at 3:30 PM on Tues. I'll take a couple of hours vacation that night and go in late. Should be real fun leaving Indianapolis at quitting time. WHATEVER!

I shouldn't gripe. He is doing so well with the Temodar. I guess I should be happy he ain't a momma's boy! He'd rather have me there.

It's busy here at work.

As I said above the Home and School Meeting was fairly productive, no arguments AND it was over in under 2 hours. I did get nominated to be a Member at Large for next school year I also got to talk to the other Kindergarten teacher. She is not Jimmy's teacher, but she does have some contact with him. She was telling me how well she thinks he is doing and how much improvement there has been since he started at the school. I almost did this , but I didn't think it would appropriate in the middle of the meeting

Tomorrow is another work day, but the weather is supposed to be nice It's going to be 82 on Saturday

I scheduled my wisdom teeth extraction for May 1st. The Oral surgeon said that it will be easy peasy. (yeah right) No impacted teeth, no cutting and no stitches. I am even allowed to drive myself after if I want. Bob is driving though so no worries there!
I can't wait for them to come out. They hurt SO bad right now. I'm going to take some pain meds and go to bed.

SD is having a mental health day tomorrow. He's got straight A's in all his classes and hasn't missed a day of school at all since January. He's going to stay home tomorrow and sleep in. (I'm sure that's bad, but he's really good about not missing school even when he's sick, so I'm not too worried about it.) Gus will be out of school on Thurs. because it's take your child to work day. Bob will be taking him to the office with him.

Aw, I hate to think of you hurting. I was a total mess for a few days after the wisdom teeth removal, I'm sorry to say. I was in a lot of pain, but the Tylenol with codeine made me throw up, so that was fun.

I hope it's easy for you - I know it CAN be for some, but don't plan a lot after, just in case.

It sounds to me like the ILs will head out fairly early. They are making noises about museums and such for the daytime. They found a hotel on hotwire that turned out pretty well.

We had a nice day and evening, but I'll be happy to be company free by tomorrow afternoon. Of course, I just have to get ready for MORE , but... I have a few days.

when i got my wisdom teeth out I made them knock me out. Of course it was more expensive, and I had to pay for it. My first year out of the house and my mom makes me pay for my wisdom teeth! But afterward when i was conscious, but still a little doped up...it made it all worth it. Of course i looked like a chipmunk with all that gauze in my mouth. Marc of course had to take pictures.

Thats ok, after he got his out we went to a party and i have pictures of him.

I named my GP Mrs. Potts, or potts for short.

I had an interesting day at work. Im an assistant in our warehouse for one of the general merchandise guys. Well...he can say some pretty inappropriate things as times. He tries to make them clean, but there are underlying tones. Hes a 60 year old guy that gives my friend and i the heeby jeebies. I didnt used to work with him, but i do now and i now know why most girls dont stay for more than a month or so. He makes mistakes all the time and i basically do his job for him. Today when he was fixing his mistake he says. "oh ya i did miss this item. I must have just completely forgotten it.......You could spank me." Thats what my face looked like. this is the same guy that also told me. "You work almost as hard as 2 women" Im not a feminist or anything radical but i made this face too. Now i dont know what to do, his really creeping me out.

On a brighter note, were definitely keeping the puppy. Her names sunny and she just went to the vet and got her shots and tick meds. Shes about 12 weeks old and only 7 lbs!
