But on a bright note, the Phillies won;)
:rolleyes1

Then I had two horrible dreams. One involved us witnessing a double murder and my extended family all taking the killer's side. The other involved (I'm so embarressed) me flirting with a very young hippy looking guy!
:rotfl:

Ours is not to question why:sad2:
:rotfl2:

48 hours from now I will be in the new place in the Bronx. :woohoo:
Whoohooty :cool1:

There is talk again of DVC if there is enough money left over because we do not want to pay the interest rate. I hope there is.
Me too! :goodvibes

No yoga for the boys tonight - the session ended last week, and we didn't sign up for the next one because of the busy baseball schedule.
Your boys just reminded me of when i saw a family at the MK doing yoga together. By the bridge from the hub to liberty square there is a small platform. They were all doing yoga together because they said it relaxes them all. :goodvibes It was just a strange sight to see.

He's been inside, and is just looking around outside, should be done soon. I will have more than enough time to get my errands done, so that's good. :thumbsup2

:thumbsup2 Thats great that you'll be able to get everything done!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I woud trade weather with you guys anytime! Its been 95 degrees here the past few days!:scared1: Its way too hot and this is a terrible sign for this summer. We only have 78% of the rain we need and I really dont want to have to turn the air conditioner on already. I would love to have some 70 weather. We only had a week of spring weather so far, and then it jumped to surface of the sun hot!:furious:
The puppy is names sunny. Ill be bringing her home to davis after the weekend. Im so excited. i guess she is a terrier of some sort. or so the vet said. They also said she has a great temperment and personality!:goodvibes
Hearing about you guys going to WDW is october is making me want to go back! Im missing is so much lately. Maybe i could convince marc to take me for my birthday! (the 23rd) I have tons of discounts right now and I might as well use them.
HA! Bob says this is a wacky weight loss program! LOL...
:rotfl2:
I did not even have a choice, they just put me to sleep. Next thing I knew I was waking up balling my eyes out about my cat that had just died and about how much I hated dad (the parents had just divorced). So embarrassing! The drug they used to put me under must have made me super emotional.
Yikes :rotfl2:
hello.....what's happenin'?
Hiya S'Latie!!!
My friend and her daughters should be here around 5.00, maybe. They are leaving Atlanta sometime this morning after dropping her husband off. She wants to stop at a mall or something to let the girls run around so they won't be in the car so many hours straight. Smart so maybe they'll sleep in the car. :thumbsup2 Mitch is trying to get packed as well but he'll only be gone 5 weeks instead of 18 months. So I won't be complaining in front of Leslie. ;)
Have fun with them :goodvibes
Oooooowwwwww!!!! They had me suited up with a Western saddle that wasn't a good fit for me and my seat bones are totally bruised. I'm actually sitting on a pillow to get through work today. :rolleyes:
So English things are the best huh :rotfl2:
Can you come to my house after you are finished
I was shattered enough after doing mine :rotfl2:
Then I had two horrible dreams. One involved us witnessing a double murder and my extended family all taking the killer's side. The other involved (I'm so embarressed) me flirting with a very young hippy looking guy!
The baby (yes i know he is almost 3 but he is still my baby) woke up twice - once with nightmares and again with a poopy diaper.
Not a good night then :hug:
48 hours from now I will be in the new place in the Bronx. :woohoo:
Fantastic :thumbsup2
She's the one who just recently rearranged all the furniture in my BIL and his fiancee's living room whilst his fiancee was at work. She just doesn't have the boundaries in our houses that I think she needs to have. :headache:
OMG really???? And at least the termite man came :rotfl:
I'm helping at Guides again tonight :headache: Not sure why they keep putting me on the rota, I'd much rather be at home than in a hall with loads of 10 - 14 year old girls :rotfl2:
I saw that same link S'late. And I jsut don't know. I'm not wowed. :guilty: And I'm not sure I want to be there in Aug. Ugh.
So...where you moving toopopcorn::
48 hours from now I will be in the new place in the Bronx. :woohoo:
Yahoo:yay:
Well just wanted to stop in and say hello.
Have a good one.
Hi Scott :wave2:
She's the one who just recently rearranged all the furniture in my BIL and his fiancee's living room whilst his fiancee was at work. She just doesn't have the boundaries in our houses that I think she needs to have. :headache:
OMG! I would kill her!:scared1:
Well...
I should have written the times down. :rotfl:I had just stepped out of the shower when I heard the dog barking and the phone ringing. I dried off and listened to the message - the Terminix guy had been here, thinking we'd agreed to 10-12 (rather than the 11-1 that I thought.) I called him back - he hadn't gotten far, and he's here now, which is good, but :blush: duh.
At least you were able to catch him:thumbsup2:lmao:
;)
We are your friendly neighborhood enablers:lmao:
That would be kind of odd. ;) My boys love the yoga, and anything that relaxes them is good with me! ;)
I have tons of discounts right now and I might as well use them.
::yes::
OMG really???? And at least the termite man came :rotfl:
Yes. Nearly-SIL was pretty peeved. She's almost 30 - and we always wonder if step-MIL would show up to any other 30 year old's houses and do this :confused3 (she did it to me whilst the boys were still in NICU, when I couldn't control ANYTHING in my life. I was, well, livid, that she wasn't even letting me control my own house. :mad:)
I'd much rather be at home than in a hall with loads of 10 - 14 year old girls :rotfl2:
But why? :confused: :rotfl2:
As you may remember, D won't stay anywhere else, so I wanted to know how it was going to work.
I forgot about that!
Its been 95 degrees here the past few days!:scared1:
YOWZA - that's waaay hot for you, isn't it? It's been terribly dry here, too. And we're far behind CA in terms of realizing we need to conserve water; no joke, we've emtpied the local supply but are still allowed to water lawns once a week. :headache:
So English things are the best huh :rotfl2:
Absolutely! Now if only I'd had a lovely cup of tea waiting after my ride... ;)
I'd much rather be at home than in a hall with loads of 10 - 14 year old girls :rotfl2:
Eeek, me too!
So...where you moving toopopcorn::
I don't know. Should I? I've had a nagging feeling about it ever since I made the ressie, which worries me. It looks beautiful, but brand-new scares me. I like familiarity, y'know? And if I switch to SSR, we'd be with T and LL again. Very, very tempting. Or I could try for Jambo - all the AKV ambiance, plus familiar surroundings. Ugh - too many choices! :confused3
::yes:: More time for Leo to spend with Maddy, Evan and Michael :thumbsup2
I'm so sad I'm going to miss you guys!:sad2:
Kat – love the pics. Looks like you all had a great time for KCs birthday.
I shouldn't gripe. He is doing so well with the Temodar. I guess I should be happy he ain't a momma's boy! He'd rather have me there. :goodvibes
Glad he is doing well. And yes - be glad he is not a momma's boy. I was so glad when we moved away from my mil. He isn't a momma's boy anymore. Of course, I hope my ds stays a momma's boy. :rotfl2:
As I said above the Home and School Meeting was fairly productive, no arguments AND it was over in under 2 hours. I also got to talk to the other Kindergarten teacher. She was telling me how well she thinks he is doing and how much improvement there has been since he started at the school.
That's great news!
*Oh, someone asked about the Girl's Weekend. I was a yes, but with the pay cut, I can't swing it. Sorry! Next time!*
That's too bad. We'll have to call everyone on the phone when we have our meet.
We had a nice day and evening, but I'll be happy to be company free by tomorrow afternoon. Of course, I just have to get ready for MORE :rolleyes:, but... I have a few days.
And I thought we have a lot of company. You have us beat! We haven't invited any parents up in a while and it's been nice.
Our last overnight visitors were our friends Ollie and Josie because we went to a martini bar and they were too drunk to drive home. :lmao:
Tomorrow is Bring your kids to work day sooooo I have 2 coming in with me :scared1:I have JOBS planned for them!!!:scared1:
What kind of jobs are you giving them?
I did not even have a choice, they just put me to sleep. Next thing I knew I was waking up balling my eyes out about my cat that had just died and about how much I hated dad (the parents had just divorced). So embarrassing! The drug they used to put me under must have made me super emotional.
When Mr Diz had his wisdom teeth taken out, he was in high school and he told the nurse she had a nice chest and wanted to have relations with her. Only not in such a nice way. I was worried when he had his gall bladder and hernia surgery. Thank goodness he wasn't crude and just told everyone to call him Kdiddle because it's his rockband name.
hello.....what's happenin'?
Hey slate!
Morning! So I had my first riding lesson last night...
That sounds fun. I took English riding lessons when I lived in SC and loved it. Great exercise. I fell in love with one of the horses and wanted to buy her. So glad I didn't, though. The monthly upkeep is more than a car payment.
Then DH told me he changed his mind about Disney - he wants to go in June now and not go to the beach.
Which week are you going? We will be there June 6-13.
Which week are you going? We will be there June 6-13.
If we go in JUne it will be that week exactly. Our other option is fall break which is October 9-16. I just texted him asking if he made a decision. He said the boss is out so he can't ask until tomorrow.
I HATE not being able to plan a vacation properly :mad:
Okay - all caught up.
I've been busy today. I put ds on the bus and then got back in bed, then dd woke me up. Yes, this counts as being busy. We got up and dressed. Went to get her dr records from her old dr and then had lunch with ds. Then went to the bank and grocery store.
DD needs speech therapy. The school system will provide it, even if your child is not in school yet. I have to get all the required forms and make an appt with the school. I wish I had her evaluated before all this. The dr thinks her speech is bad due to her tonsils being so large for so long.
DH was given an extra 4 days off for being on this project that just ended, but he has to use them before June 1. He is taking it the week of Memorial day. I booked us a trip to Wilderness in Tenn. It is like Great Wolf Lodge, but it has an outdoor and indoor waterpark. I only booked 2 nights, but now my sister is asking us to go to Myrtle Beach and stay with them. Staying with her is free and we would stay more than 2 nights. The room at Wilderness is $100 off the regular room rate and I told dh we would probably not go again unless we got a great offer like that. We can't decide.
And we're far behind CA in terms of realizing we need to conserve water; no joke, we've emtpied the local supply but are still allowed to water lawns once a week. :headache:
The water main in front of our house broke Saturday morning and when Mitch called the water company, they told him they would be out Monday. :rolleyes: He did mention the water conservation issue but I guess the girl on the phone only answers the phone and can't control when they actually come out.
Kat - What restaurant did you go to? I think I missed that.
48 hours from now I will be in the new place in the Bronx. :woohoo:
Paul's Burgers on St Marks & 2nd Ave. Good luck with the move!!!
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
I am rockin' and rollin' today! I have put away the winter clothes, cleaned out all our desk stuff, fixed up my bookshelves, organized the junk drawers, cleaned the bathroom, dusted, and swept! I just need to clean the mirrors and make some pea soup for dinner tonight. I'm making it because I can throw it in the pot and forget it for 2 hours.
Well I am about to relax in my clean and now air conditioned house and eat some lunch and then play some animal crossing!
When Mr Diz had his wisdom teeth taken out, he was in high school and he told the nurse she had a nice chest and wanted to have relations with her. Only not in such a nice way. :rotfl:
I am so excited! It is supposed to be nice and warm here this weekend! It will be great to get outside to relax and read and hopefully tan!
So, I've been thinking... and I think I got some things figured out. I'm not ready to share them, but it's nice to know you guys are here when I'm ready to talk about stuff. :goodvibes
V- My vote is to move to the same place as LL and T. When you're all swimming and having fun it'll be such a bummer to have to pick up and leave. :headache:
Ok I read and I'm all caught up
Angela: that plate was skeery :scared1:
I think I saw a S'late sighting!
The bathroom in the 1 bedroom was gorgeous.
Sam: what cute name for the GP, do you have pics of the puppy
Mel: :hug:on the teeth, I have to get mine out, but I've been putting it off
Scott: :woohoo:on the move and possible DVC!
V: I agree with Dawn, that if you're going to switch go to SSR with T and LL.
Kat: Great pics, glad you guys had a great time. :goodvibes
We are your friendly neighborhood enablers:lmao:
:lmao:too funny Janet!
Hi to everyone else!! :wave:
********************************************************
Well I'm officially sick :sick: I hate being sick it makes me feel lazy and I don't want to mess up my gym thing I've started. Stupid germs. :mad:
Nothing else from me.
TTYL! :hippie:
Hi Everyone! :goodvibes:
I skimmed the last 2 pages, but I've got an hour to go back and catch up on your lives.
Not much going on here... Waldo's got his pre-op today and we've had a contractor come to give us an estimate on our kitchen. I'm skerred! :scared: I can't stand the thought of not having a kitchen for a while.
V -.... can you hear that??? It's SSR calling to you.... :listen:
Hi Janet! Glad you're taking a mental health day!
Kind of next to. Here's a map:
81115AKVConstruction.JPG
Anyone notice the MICKEY shape?
Lessa - The surgery story sacred me. I have had to have mine pulled for over 10 years and I keep putting it off. When it hurts it hurts for 3 - 5 days and then stops. I just deal with it but I know I will have to have them pulled, 2 are growing in sideways.
Me too, and now look!
She's the one who just recently rearranged all the furniture in my BIL and his fiancee's living room whilst his fiancee was at work. She just doesn't have the boundaries in our houses that I think she needs to have. :headache:
Glad the bug guy could come back.
And I'd likely kill anyone who rearranged my furniture...LOL
Hearing about you guys going to WDW is october is making me want to go back! Im missing is so much lately. Maybe i could convince marc to take me for my birthday! (the 23rd) I have tons of discounts right now and I might as well use them.
Anytime you want someone to peer pressure you, we're here! :goodvibes
I'm helping at Guides again tonight :headache: Not sure why they keep putting me on the rota, I'd much rather be at home than in a hall with loads of 10 - 14 year old girls :rotfl2:
Maybe that's WHY they keep picking you? :rotfl:
KThat's too bad. We'll have to call everyone on the phone when we have our meet.
I know. Again, I miss you! Some day....
When Mr Diz had his wisdom teeth taken out, he was in high school and he told the nurse she had a nice chest and wanted to have relations with her. Only not in such a nice way. I was worried when he had his gall bladder and hernia surgery. Thank goodness he wasn't crude and just told everyone to call him Kdiddle because it's his rockband name.
OMG. I hope I don't do that. (I mean say something weird, not talk about chests and relations :lmao:)
The water main in front of our house broke Saturday morning and when Mitch called the water company, they told him they would be out Monday. :rolleyes: He did mention the water conservation issue but I guess the girl on the phone only answers the phone and can't control when they actually come out.
3 more weeks till your cruise! Whoohoo!!!!
So, I've been thinking... and I think I got some things figured out. I'm not ready to share them, but it's nice to know you guys are here when I'm ready to talk about stuff. :goodvibes
:love:
Mel: :hug:on the teeth, I have to get mine out, but I've been putting it off
Sorry you're sick, Z. Poor thing!
I'll tell you the truth about getting mine out if it helps you. :confused3
Hope Waldo's surgery goes well. No kitchen??? I'd die.
Glad you could pop in!
Wow, what a day! Sd did indeed have his mental health day. He slept until almost 10 am. I made him eggs for breakfast and then we cleaned the house. He did 4 loads of laundry for me too! What a great kid. :goodvibes
After the cleaning was done, I went to the gym. I only biked 5 miles today. I was so tired after all the vacuuming and mopping etc this morning! I treated myself to a soy latte (white choc. macadamia nut) and then grabbed a few things at the grocery.
Picked up Gus and hit the library for some movies. Now I am making french toast and veggie sausage for dinner (look away, Jo).
Bob should be home soonish. My teeth still hurt pretty bad. I'm really hoping the week goes by fast!
MEL:banana:
Hi, all!
I read again, but didn't quote. Sorry!
Hi, T! It was hard without a kitchen, but SO worth it. :goodvibes
Hi, Mel!
And yep, that's my step-MIL. See why I get stressed? :rotfl:
Speaking of MILs... WHY on earth, if you were trying to be helpful and put stuff away out of the dishwasher, wouldn't you just ask or at the very least LOOK AROUND if you didn't know where something went???
I went to make dinner tonight and couldn't find either of my 1/4 cup dry measuring cups. Looked all over. :headache: Finally found them in the silverware drawer, in the compartment where the chopsticks are. :confused: Seriously. Would you not think, "Well, she must have other measuring cups, I'll see where those are?"
No, apparently you stick them wherever. :sad2: And not with any other cooking stuff - with the chopsticks.
I also have found, this week, a cookie sheet in with my tupperware (again, does she think I would only have one? and why there?) and some other cooking type spoons in the regular silverware. I have TWO drawers of cooking utensils, so I could see honestly putting it in the wrong one of those, but you don't do EITHER one???
Sorry, I'm just baffled. :lmao:I do unload the dishwasher at her house, but if I don't see similar items anywhere, I leave them on the counter for her to put in the right spot. Or I ask. Go figure.
And, frankly, at least it was all in the kitchen. StepMIL, last year when I was in France, oh so helpfully :rolleyes: straightened up the closet in our office, where I keep the guest towels, sheets for the sofa bed, beach towels, etc. She put half the stuff in the basement. Yeah, I'd look there. :sad2: And she put all the beach towels at the bottom of a stack, under the sheets and blankets for the sofa bed, which only she really ever uses. No, we never use beach towels - they should be well-hidden... :rotfl:
Ah, well.
If I can laugh, I won't kill her in her sleep. :rolleyes1 :rotfl:
