Hi, all!
I read again, but didn't quote. Sorry!
Hi, T! It was hard without a kitchen, but SO worth it.
Hi, Mel!
And yep, that's my step-MIL. See why I get stressed?
Speaking of MILs... WHY on earth, if you were trying to be helpful and put stuff away out of the dishwasher, wouldn't you just ask or at the very least LOOK AROUND if you didn't know where something went???
I went to make dinner tonight and couldn't find either of my 1/4 cup dry measuring cups. Looked all over.

Finally found them in the silverware drawer, in the compartment where the chopsticks are.

Seriously. Would you not think, "Well, she must have other measuring cups, I'll see where those are?"
No, apparently you stick them wherever.

And not with any other cooking stuff - with the chopsticks.
I also have found, this week, a cookie sheet in with my tupperware (again, does she think I would only have one? and why there?) and some other cooking type spoons in the regular silverware. I have TWO drawers of cooking utensils, so I could see honestly putting it in the wrong one of those, but you don't do EITHER one???
Sorry, I'm just baffled.

I do unload the dishwasher at her house, but if I don't see similar items anywhere, I leave them on the counter for her to put in the right spot. Or I ask. Go figure.
And, frankly, at least it was all in the kitchen. StepMIL, last year when I was in France, oh so helpfully

straightened up the closet in our office, where I keep the guest towels, sheets for the sofa bed, beach towels, etc. She put half the stuff in the basement. Yeah, I'd look there.

And she put all the beach towels at the bottom of a stack, under the sheets and blankets for the sofa bed, which only she really ever uses. No, we never use beach towels - they should be well-hidden...
Ah, well.
If I can laugh, I won't kill her in her sleep.
