Well it's not raining here today but wasn't quite nice enough to risk the zoo IYKWIM so we're stripping wallpaper again :rotfl2: We're starting our bedroom and we're just doing 1 wall at a time because the smell and look of bare plaster (drywall) once you've stripped the paper is nasty so we're doig just a bit :thumbsup2

They need to give you your own home improvement show on TV ::yes::

dinner with Kate and family! :banana::banana::banana: They're down here celebrating her DH's graduation by scoping out the area and hitting Busch Gardens. Leo and I hope to catch up with them for dinner tonight, then we're playing hooky to join them at BG tomorrow. :woohoo:

So I may not be back for a couple days. I'm sure I'll have an update or three on FB; have I mentioned how much I looooove my stupid iPhone?! :rolleyes:

See ya later! :grouphug:

Have a great time!:goodvibes

Ok I have to ask. When you go to a wedding isn't the gift a check? That is what we give and it is usually $200.00

Am I wrong?
.

That's the same as about here Scott!

I'm bored.

You can come here and help. I have laundry to do:laundy:

What do you guys think? pig in sac and save $10 or pig here in davis and save his sanity?

I know nothing about guinea pigs, sorry!:goodvibes

We don't have showers here :sad2:

Only bath's:confused3;)

Jess and I went and played golf and :headache: why do I do it? She drives me mad :rotfl2: We ended up having a bit of an argument and me saying we'll walk in as she just couldn't be bothered, I suppose she is almost a teenager but really :rotfl2:

:lmao:

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi all. I've been MIA. It's been a beautiful (weather) busy weekend. Yesterday we got up and went to see the Berenstain Bears at the Walnut Street Theater and then to the Franklin Institute. We were out from about 9:30am and the museum closed at 5:00. We took Jimmy's friend Gordon home and then went to the diner for dinner. We got home about 7:00. It was still light outside and Jimmy wanted to ride his scooter so we did. Our neighbor happened to be outside so I chatted with her for a while and then our other neighbor came out and Jima dn he played baseball with Jimmy. We wound up staying outside until almost 10:00pm! Jimmy was so tired, but so good going to bed. He slept until almost 9:00.

We got up this morning. I sorted the laundry and started that. Jim FINALLY ran the lawnmower (we've had so much rain he hasn't been able to do it). Jimmy and I ran LOTS of errands. We went to the supermarket. Then we went to Bed Bath and Beyond to return some curtains. After that we went to Target to get JImmy some new roller skates - he outgrew the one's from last year. Finally we went to Lowes to get a new bird feeder. We got home about 1:00. I am still doing :laundy: (unless Ce comes down to help;)). After Jim is done in the shower we are going to go outside for a bit becasue its so nice out. Take advantage of it now, it's gonna rain for the next 2 days:sad2:

I quoted today's stuf and skimmed yesterday's stuff but I have to say

Congratulations Dawn:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

I'll pst pics from yesterday on facebook!

Did you notice that the sign is held by a dust mob?:lmao:
:rotfl2:

Hey Fockers!!! or as Debra says, Fokkers. :thumbsup2
I didn't even realize I was spelling it differently. :lmao: I am in the aerospace industry and spelled it like the plane Fokker

I have heard of this, simply amazing!

You all should watch the clip with her from the show, it is simply amazing and teaches a real lesson on prejudging somebody based on their appearance. The look on Simon Cowell's face is priceless as well!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9lp0IWv8QZY&feature=related
that was incredible. I am confused, does Simon fly back and forth to do both shows because he is also doing american idol right? :confused3

Rosie I bought some off ebay once but you have to be careful, last year I bought from mousepinsonline.com they do grab bags and the pins are about $1.65 each. I would say get each child at least 10 pins each to start :thumbsup2

I agree on the pins. But be careful on mentioning it on these boards :rolleyes1
You reminded me. I need to finish my bathroom :teleport:
Today calls for a workout, grocery shopping, more pool time, and... dinner with Kate and family! :banana::banana::banana: They're down here celebrating her DH's graduation by scoping out the area and hitting Busch Gardens. Leo and I hope to catch up with them for dinner tonight, then we're playing hooky to join them at BG tomorrow. :woohoo:
Who is kate? Glad you had fun at the :beach:

And the upshot is that I'd really just like to KNOW.
I completely agree. NO ONE in my family ever makes plans and it is so frustrating.

Ok I have to ask. When you go to a wedding isn't the gift a check? That is what we give and it is usually $200.00
:faint:

What do you guys think? pig in sac and save $10 or pig here in davis and save his sanity?
sounds like you had a very productive day.
i'd say sac and just drive carefully.

Jess and I went and played golf and :headache: why do I do it? She drives me mad :rotfl2: We ended up having a bit of an argument and me saying we'll walk in as she just couldn't be bothered, I suppose she is almost a teenager but really :rotfl2:
Not looking forward to the teenage years. :sad2:

@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
I balanced my checkbook :faint:

Congratulations Dawn!!!

Hi Carrie, Lessa, Debra, and CB (if I missed anyone I am sorry HELLO!!)

Kat, I showed Bill the SA and he wants one now :confused:, why are men like that?

Ok I have to ask. When you go to a wedding isn't the gift a check? That is what we give and it is usually $200.00

Scott, Bill and I will get married at Ip Dip, bring your check book :lmao: j/k.

We're starting our bedroom and we're just doing 1 wall at a time because the smell and look of bare plaster (drywall) once you've stripped the paper is nasty so we're doig just a bit :thumbsup2

You have turned into Ms. Home Improvement, I am impressed!!

Leo and I hope to catch up with them for dinner tonight, then we're playing hooky to join them at BG tomorrow. :woohoo:

Have a great time!!

Sorry, I know I'm griping too much. :hug:

OK, off to do some work. Sigh. I'll be back!

:hug: You are not griping too much, there is a lot going on with you and it is good that you can come here and talk about it. Having people in and out of my house like that would drive me nuts, I am a solitary person.

I'm just popping in to say hi. Busy weekend here. I'm going to get showered sometime today.....LOL

Hi Mel!! How are you feeling?

What do you guys think? pig in sac and save $10 or pig here in davis and save his sanity?

They are nervous little creatures to begin with, I wouldn't put them through that noise. You want to bond with it, not scar it for life :rotfl:.

After that we went to Target to get JImmy some new roller skates - he outgrew the one's from last year. Finally we went to Lowes to get a new bird feeder. We got home about 1:00. I am still doing :laundy: (unless Ce comes down to help;)).

It is nice to know that kids still roller skate, I need to get a bird feeder and put it on the balcony, but it would probably drive Ace crazy having to see the birds. I need to do laundry too.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Not much going on around here today, I will be doing some spring cleaning, Bill will be watching baseball and probably playing PS3 and Ace will be sleeping. We sat down last night and made a mini itinerary for the December trip. We are going to celebrate 5 years together :love:. I am thinking about having a small cake delivered to our room. Has anyone had a cake from the Poly before?
I will probably just talk about the December trip on the October PTR and make it a twofer :thumbsup2. That gives me something to talk about since we are following Scott and Jodi around in October I don't have much to plan. Although, Jodi, I wonder if we should let Scott make the ADR's? He is notorious for changing plans ;).
MrsK. You and Bill are so sweet together. I would love to know how you two met. I am also curious about your affiliation with the enchanted site. i have been over there a couple of times but i feel like I am 'cheating' on the dis so i always come back :lmao:
Hi Debra! Here is a link to my first PTR/TR that tells the story of how we met :love:.
Scott that posts on the Focker thread owns Enchanted, I am the other admin there. I do graphics, upload things he can't figure out, made all custom tickers for Enchanted Tickers, etc.
I think there is enough room for two Disney boards in my life, I love the DIS because it helped me find new friends who love Disney as much as I do. I love Enchanted because I helped with it almost from the beginning. There are some people that don't post here that post there. I hope that explains it for you :goodvibes.
Hi Fockers!
I skimmed...
Congrats Dawn, you must be so relieved!
Weddings around here minimum $100- per person more depending on the location/relationship etc.
It was a beautiful weekend weather wise and I um did nothing.
So I think the last time I checked in here was Tuesday.
So I got the ok to drive and that has been going well;)
We had the lay off at work Wednesday that I knew about, over 40 folks let go:sad1:
I worked 9-10 hour days the rest of the week, which is normal for me, but with recovering I came home and literally collapsed each night.
Murph is in France now and I decided to take a very quiet weekend at home and get my laundry done and house cleaned, you can imagine what it was like since I haven't done anything for a couple of weeks.
7 loads of laundry later:eek: I still need to finish the kitchen but I am waiting for CE's Italian beef to finish before I clean it.
I was so tired that I would do one or 2 things and lay down and take a nap, I can't believe how much this has taken out of me.
Keep your Focker fingers and toes crossed, I am back to the DR tomorrow and hopefully get the stitches out! It will be so much easier to shower when they are!
:I balanced my checkbook :faint:
That woul dmake me faint too. ALthough Jim doesn't let me do the checkbook anymore. Everytime I did it, we wouldn up off $100...always to our good though:thumbsup2
Scott, Bill and I will get married at Ip Dip, bring your check book :lmao: j/k.
Is Buzz going to perform the ceremony:lmao:
You have turned into Ms. Home Improvement, I am impressed!!
Jo's always been like that. At one point T offered to divorce Andy to marry Jo:rotfl2:
He did a great job too:thumbsup2 The skates he had beofre these were the kiddie one's you put over your shoe. These are regular boot skates...4 wheels. He loves to skate more than ride a bike:confused3
Hey Mo! We miss you around here:hug: Glad to see the foot is getting better and you can drive. That would have drove (no pun intended) me crazy ::yes::. Good luck at the doctor tomorrow!:goodvibes
Hi everyone!
It's been such a LONG week and I have had no time to post. I have a lot of reading to catch up on.
Well my parents came to visit and have since left. My dad got sick on the way down, turns out it was food poisoning. He is better now, but was miserably sick for like 4 days.
DH and I are still househunting. Today, we found what we thought was the PERFECT house. Location, size, features, price, everything! Can't beat that right? We were ready to make an offer. Well we looked at the SDS and there are major septic/well problems. Water in the basement, septic needs to be pumped monthly for $200/month. We're looking into the possibility of public water/sewer out there, but probably we'll have to pass, which is really disappointing. Back to the drawing board...
Mo, I am glad you are getting to drive. I am sorry to hear about those people being laid off. It is so sad. I will keep everything crossed hoping you get your stitches out tomorrow :thumbsup2.
Hmm, if I bring a bottle of Red, I bet he would :lmao:.
That is great to hear he really loves it, I used to love it when I was in grade school.
Hi Lisa, so sorry to hear about your dad being sick. I am glad to hear he is on the mend. That is bad to hear about the problems with the house you were looking at that sounds very disappointing.
LOL typical! KC shopped for like 3 weeks before deciding on this tv too, worse than me booking a disney trip.
Scott that posts on the Focker thread owns Enchanted, I am the other admin there. I do graphics, upload things he can't figure out, made all custom tickers for Enchanted Tickers, etc.
I really should get over there more often but I'm lazy! Scott's a DIS friend and an IRL friend too!
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
Well I am about to go on a mission. KC's birthday is tomorrow and we are going out with friends for dinner and desserts, BUT he is obsessed with ice cream cake. So he just left for the city to go to the upper east side to buy that Ikea chair he wants...so I'm going to slip on over to Carvel and surprise him at midnight with the cake! He so won't expect it!
I may even take pity and go do the laundry too, it still hasn't gotten done. I don't really want him to be stuck at the laundromat at midnight.
Anyways just a drive by...off for cake!!!
Evening all! Had a busy day shop for bargains!You check out the Dis Mamouth May Meet thread it is hilarious!!!!! Laptop is really bad so not posting much!!
Glad to hear your mending well. I hope youve gotten lost of rest for your feet.:thumbsup2
Ok everyone. I need your help to name my new little guinea pig buddy.
3154_734263408113_3231542_42425279_3080153_n.jpg
I got the cage in Sac and amazingly it was almost 50% off!:cool1: Then i drove to woodland, real close to davis where i was yesterday. Thats where i got the little guy. Hes still really young, but right now hes perched on top of the food bowl.:confused:
Do you guys want to help me pick out a name. As you can tell hes all black and it is a he. I was thinking something disney. Any suggestions. Right now im calling him clearance guinea pig. :rotfl:
When i was at the pet store i got an email from marc. guess what he wants to bring home...a puppy! He works on an indian reservation and i guess there are a lot of dogs running around. This little girl found her way into the engine bay and has been sleeping on his lab ever since. I told him if its a stray to bring it home, well just have to find an apartment next year that accepts dogs.
what do you guys think of toby, basil, or gus?
after some research and ahem...examinations. I've discovered that my new pet is actually a girl.
cleo, olivia, fauna. any other suggestions?
Wow you've got loads of visitors!!
::yes:: Dr. Belle arrived 3/14, then my mom, then MIL, with two more sets this week. :faint:
I suppose she is almost a teenager but really :rotfl2:[/quote]
;)
(unless Ce comes down to help;)).
I did four loads of my own today - all our septic can take. Sorry. :rotfl:
Sounds like a nice few days! :)
Who is kate? Glad you had fun at the :beach:
Kate is Sharkb8boohaha. Someone has a list somewhere of screen names/real names (or, in my case, the difference between screen names and what I'm called, which still isn't real... :rotfl2:)
I completely agree. NO ONE in my family ever makes plans and it is so frustrating.
Still no call, so I'll be surprised now if they want to come tomorrow, but that means Tuesday's gonna be a doozy. :rolleyes:
:hug: You are not griping too much, there is a lot going on with you and it is good that you can come here and talk about it. Having people in and out of my house like that would drive me nuts, I am a solitary person.
Thanks. :hug: That's one of my things - I'm an only child and lived alone before getting married. I have friends who are also pilot's wives, and they hate the being alone - I LOVE it. I need my "self" time, even if it's just after the kids are in bed. Even the company I really want - Mom and Dr. Belle, for example - well, I get happy to get the house back when they're gone. ;):confused3
i have been over there a couple of times but i feel like I am 'cheating' on the dis so i always come back :lmao:
I need to get over there more, too, but I love Scott and there's no "cheating". :goodvibes
So I got the ok to drive and that has been going well;)
Oh, good!
We had the lay off at work Wednesday that I knew about, over 40 folks let go:sad1:
Ack, not so good. :hug:
7 loads of laundry later:eek: I still need to finish the kitchen but I am waiting for CE's Italian beef to finish before I clean it.
Oooh, yum. I need to make that. Maybe for FIL - that's a good "after party" meal. :thumbsup2
Thankfully, my septic tank can't take 7 loads! :faint:
Keep your Focker fingers and toes crossed, I am back to the DR tomorrow and hopefully get the stitches out! It will be so much easier to shower when they are!
Wishing you well!
My dad got sick on the way down, turns out it was food poisoning. He is better now, but was miserably sick for like 4 days.
Glad he's better!
but probably we'll have to pass, which is really disappointing. Back to the drawing board...
Oh, that stinks. Good luck!
Anyways just a drive by...off for cake!!!
Have fun!
Evening all! Had a busy day shop for bargains!You check out the Dis Mamouth May Meet thread it is hilarious!!!!! Laptop is really bad so not posting much!!
Hi, Rosie!
what do you guys think of toby, basil, or gus?
All good. I was trying to think of a similar looking creature, but not having luck. :confused:
************************************************
I wound up taking the kids to the park so that D could get some yardwork in.
It was SO sunny and nice - it was good to be outside. They're big enough now that I can sit on a bench and read whilst they play, so that was good. Mel, I'm SO loving that Bill Bryson book. :thumbsup2
Anyway, then I made my poppyseed chicken and we have had a nice evening.
We think we've found a lake house to rent for the time that D wants to fly his dad and step-mum in for his dad's 70th b-day in July, too. Reasonable and very cool!
I have nothing going on tomorrow if the company's not coming - D leaves around the time we need to get up for school. And really, that's about all I've got!
Oh, well, in that case, I'd go Cinderella. :goodvibes Or, um...
Bianca means "white" of course, but she's a girl rodent... :confused3
Hi Mel!! How are you feeling?
Hi Tracy! I'm doing great, thanks for asking! Your Bill has such a good sense of humor (That might seem out of the blue, I meant to say it before and I kept forgetting it. So, I've completely forgotten what he said that made me think that, but I'm going to comment anyway! ROFL!!!)
Keep your Focker fingers and toes crossed, I am back to the DR tomorrow and hopefully get the stitches out! It will be so much easier to shower when they are!
Got them ALL crossed, Mo! Hope it's good news and you're feeling better!
It was SO sunny and nice - it was good to be outside. They're big enough now that I can sit on a bench and read whilst they play, so that was good. Mel, I'm SO loving that Bill Bryson book. :thumbsup2:
Sounds like a wonderful weekend there too! We had such gorgeous weather, I've almost forgotten about the snow. ALMOST. :rotfl2:
Glad you're liking it! He's such a great writer. I love ALL his books!!!
************************************
So, everyone had a pretty good weekend, it looks like.
Us too. The weather was lovely. We got seeds and started the veggies. The boys got the gardens tilled and ready for the seedlings, once they grow. I went to the library, took the boys to music lessons, and we went to the pool swimming today.
Bob's all packed and ready to go. He's going to Chicago tomorrow until Wed. I plan on catching up on the laundry tomorrow and relaxing. It's been crazy around here.
That's all that's new around here. Hoping Bob comes upstairs (and stops playing video games!) so that we can actually see each other for a while before he leaves town!
Congrats on 5 years, Tracy! I got a cake from Beach Club when Eric and I celebrated our 10th in December 2007. The only problem was that we couldn't eat it all. The choice is a standard 4 piece cake that you can get anywhere or a bigger cake that was more customized. I chose the bigger cake and then we ended up throwing a lot of it away. :sad2:
As for the ADRs, I'm thinking that you or I need to be in charge of them. Scott should not even have the confirmation numbers! I don't trust him!!! :laughing:
Is Buzz going to perform the ceremony:lmao:
That would be hilarious! We could do it in Ohana at the end of dinner! The lady there would be a great MC, wouldn't she? :confused3
FLora, Fauna, Aurora, Perla, Suzy, Alice, Jasmine.....:confused3
I like Perla or Suzy, since she is a rodent! :thumbsup2
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Well, I'm tired. I got good sleep last night after doing the Race and then the lawn, but I woke up early today, feeling like I was well rested. So, I got up with plenty of time to get everything together before heading to church. We got home from church, grabbed lunch and got in the car to drive 2 hours north to a birthday party for my cousin's son. He's 4. His mom is the one who was diagnosed with breast cancer last April at age 27. She's doing great now. Best of all, she has her "build-a-b00b" surgery in less than two weeks. After that, she'll be done! YAY!!!:banana:

So, I drove two hours to stay a party for about 2 hours and then drive another 2 hours back. Now, I'm finishing laundry and getting ready for another busy week. Gotta run errands in the morning, so I may or may not check in here in the AM. Hope everyone has a great day!

I am stil doing laundry:sad2: It won't be done before I go to bed, so I'll have to do some each night when I come home!

That would be hilarious! We could do it in Ohana at the end of dinner! The lady there would be a great MC, wouldn't she? :confused3

:rotfl2:

I like Perla or Suzy, since she is a rodent! :thumbsup2

::yes::

After that, she'll be done! YAY!!!:banana:

That's awesome!:thumbsup2

So, I drove two hours to stay a party for about 2 hours and then drive another 2 hours back. Now, I'm finishing laundry and getting ready for another busy week. Gotta run errands in the morning, so I may or may not check in here in the AM. Hope everyone has a great day!

HAve a good day!

Off to bed everyone. Have a good night!:goodvibes
