I don't know who Leo is but everyone else seems to be excited so I will too!

:yay::yay::yay:

:rotfl2: Thats so cute! :hug:

Leo is her son.

BTW Im Sam! Im new here just in the past 2 weeks. Im a college student at University California Davis, as a wildlife major. My fiance is a firefighter and commutes a lot. So when im not working, in school, or Marc isnt home i procrastinate on the DIS.

Is MzDiz (sp?) still around? I watched HSM3 over the weekend, and was thinking of her DH. :lmao:

::yes:: I always think of Mr. Diz when it comes to Troy. I don't know what that says about me. :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

I dyed my hair back to brown. I did it sunday before my second presentation for disney. I had to be sure i was in "disney look" so its back to boring!:rotfl:

I'm of the feeling that hair is easily changed. I dye my own, and mine happens to grow very quickly, so - why not experiment? You can be purple next week! ;) ::yes::

The doctor wants to run more tests so that is a little scary. But delta is excited about it because he thinks the nurse's button is for room service. :lmao:

Hugs to you all. :hug:

6/25? :scared1:
And suddenly I am thankful we did not have snow.

Well, in my not so humble opinion, the northeast has a truly messed up school schedule. I grew up in IL, where we went to school for the last 10 or so days of August, but got out around Memorial Day.

Up here, the rule is that you go back about a week later, but we get one week off in February AND one off in April. There is, of course, always a lot of snow, so the scheduled date of 6/17 is pushed way back this year.

Anyway, I hate it. A lot. But I'm not going to change anything, so I should completely shut up - I'm boring even myself. :lmao:

But seriously, if we ever move again, I am basing it on school schedules.

What's everyone reading these days????

Anyone watching Dancing With The Stars?
I am about to watch it from last night!

[/COLOR]
I don't have time to read right now. But if I did I would read some of the books referenced from the show LOST.

I'm bored.
I'd do some planning, but August Hours won't come out until May and I can't make ADR's until May 11th:sad2:

I have been looking at rentals again, but the prices are coming down so I don't want to book anything yet. All the National Coupons on Mousesavers expire May 30th, so I am hoping some new coupons will come out then. My crocs order hasn't been delivered yet.

Help! Anyone here to keep me entertained. I can't facebook here becasue the computer keeps locking up anytime I try to log on there:sad2:
You sound like me. I am not happy unless i have a trip to plan.
So, it's not me!? I thought Facebook was just giving ME fits. :sad2:

Bob did mention that some blog he reads said that Facebook is changing it's interface AGAIN because they had so many complaints. However, they aren't putting it back the way it WAS, so why bother!!!???!!!

Got my mom. Bob DID buy me a latte and then he took Mom and I to lunch. Yum! Now we're home. Watching the giant snowflakes....

MEL:banana:
Yum! latte!
Well then I am REALLY REALLY bored since our trip isn't until October. At least you almost have the hours and can book ADR's in about a month :rotfl:.

I was spoiled with the 180 day thing. I had so much time to make plans, change plans, tweak plans etc. Now I feel like I am just sitting in limbo waiting until July :mad:. Ok enough pouting from me.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today is a slow day here too. Bill has a quiz online later, he worked on his research paper until about 2am. Since I have to help him at bed time I was up until then too, I am tired today. He works so hard, he can't wait until school is finally over for him in July.
Not much going on here tonight either, going to make chicken something for dinner and laundry. Wow I lead an exciting life.
Yes, I liked the 180 day way also. Sorry you had to stay up so late. Hope you are going to bed on time tonight. Good luck to Bill on his paper. BTW my DH is Bill also! He was my high school sweetheart.
I have reworked my ADR's into 1st and second choices becasue I am still on the fence about HDDR and in case I can't get 1st choices I need to have backups.
Day 1st Choice 2nd Choice
#1 T-Rex (OOP) None
#2 Garden Grill Coral Reef
#3 Boma Tusker House
#4 Chef Mickey's Crystal Palace
#5 50's PT Cafe (Lunch) Mama Melrose's (No Fantasmic)
#6 HDDR (5:00pm Show) Capt. Jack's
#7 None Chef Mickey's or Crystal Palace
(Whichever one we didn't get
on day 4)
#8 'Ohana Kona
Let me know what you think!
I love all of your choices! I def want to try T-Rex.
Hey Guys! Just home from our grocery run. I had to wait around for a lady to stop by and buy an easel that I was selling on craigslist. Another $15 in my pocket! :thumbsup2
The girls are driving me batty today with their bickering. I think they're bored, but I've got things I want to get done. We got a movie from the RedBox at the store, so hopefully that will keep them busy for a little while. I need to mop my kitchen floor. I just want to get everything back in it's place and have it all clean so that I can take some pics to post here.
__________________________________________
All this talk about WDW planning is really making me jealous. So, I'm going to post my plans for Ip Dip II/Girls Weekend....
Friday, Oct 9th - late morning flight to Orlando. ME to hotel (possibly sharing a room at POP). Rest until MNSSHP at 4:00 pm. MK until close that night!
Saturday, Oct 10th - Epcot! F&W noshing all day. Ride TT and Soarin with Tracy & Bill and hang out with them and anyone else who is there! Margaritas in Mexico and Grey Goose Slushies in France are required!
Sunday, Oct 11th - AK day. Breakfast at Tusker House with Scott. Ride EE as many times as possible. Ip Dip II dinner at Ohana with everyone. Lapu Lapu's are required!
Monday, Oct 12th - MGM day. Ride TSM & RNRC. Fly back to Indy as late as possible.
So, any opinions on the plans? I think I'll do the dining plan, so I'll need one more table service, probably at Epcot on Saturday. Any suggestions?
Your plans sound great. I've been wanting to try Le Cellier in EPCOT.
Afternoon Fockers!
I read through, had things quoted, walked away and lost them. :confused3
Glad to see Facebook is giving everyone problems though. I was finally able to get on through an e-mail I had gotten.
Just finished getting dinner in the oven. We're having homemade Italian sausage, baked potatoes with all the fixings and some other kind of veggie.
I'll be back later. :goodvibes
My dear Husband cooked dinner for us tonight. He had mashed potatoes, peas, beef stroganof, and cheesy bread!! And my mama (not Mom, Mother, or Mum, but mama) eats dinner with us on tuesdays and we watch American Idol.
********************
Well, my mom has been here for a total of 7 hours and I'm done already. :sad2: That is mean, isn't it? Ugh. You know how sometimes you love someone but you really don't want to spend LONG periods of time with them? Well, that's the deal. We are NOTHING alike. She's a whiner. She's grumpy. She's MESSY. She doesn't like anything I like.
She actually says to me, "What on earth do you do in Disney? You must be sick of it by now!"
WHAT ????????????????????????????????????????
WHAT DID SHE SAY????????????????????????????????????
OMG.................................................................
Whew. Ok, glad I got that out. I know I'm an ungrateful wench. I know. :guilty:
Bob is downstairs gaming with SD. Gus is lying down on the couch. He says his tummy hurts. :sick: I hope he's not coming down with anything. Poor kid. That's all we need.
Oh, and it snowed ALL freakin' day. Grrrrrrrrrrrr.
MEL
Aw Mel :hug: I feel the same way sometimes.
Hi Sam, pleasure to meet you. I've only been here a week but already feel right at home.
Your IL school schedule sounds just like ours here. We are out May 22 and return mid-August. We get a week for fall break, 2 weeks for Christmas, and a week for spring break with several 3 day holidays sprinkled throughout.
Read your first page of your TR. I use fake names for my family as well (in case you thought i really named our kids Alpha, Delta, Chi, omicron, and Delta). It's a long story but I have issues with my children's privacy.
Oh and I forgot to thank Kristel for the update!
good night everyone!
Ooh, ooh, ooh. I have one I think you will really like. It may be listed as young adult, but then, so are Harry and Twilight.
It's called "Godmother" by Carolyn Turgeon. I got it in the free book for review program (not the contest, but why I was asked to do the contest) on amazon.com.
It's about Cinderella's fairy godmother, in NYC. It's SO much cooler than I anticipated. It's not terribly long, but it's not really light. It very much is still making me think about it.
Anyway, it's been released, so it's available.
I also loved a pre-release called "The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie" which is a 1950's English gentle mystery, but the heroine is an extremely precocious 11-year-old (it's not YA, though) and it was just awesome. I think it's released on 4/28.
Um, I bet you've already read it, but open on my Kindle right now is the Charlaine Harris that came out last summer.
I but the Carolyn Turgeon book on my wish list on paperbackswap! Thanks! I LOVE the Charlaine Harris books! I plan to re-read them before True Blood comes back on in June so I remember what the changed ion the show!
I'm in a lousy mood! Today I made an event for KC's birthday (the 20th) and I invited everyone we mutually know on facebook. So I told him if there was anyone else to invite he needed to do it. When I look at the list he invited 2 ex girlfriends. 2 girls I do not like. Why the heck would he do that? I do not want to spend my husband's birthday pretending to be in a good mood when there are people I don't like at a party I organized. He said it was "no big deal" when I said it made me uncomfortable. I thought we'd be like 10 people, it's looking like a lot more now. :confused:
What the heck do i do?
It's a whiny week for me , huh?
I am headed to NYC tomorrow to apply at the World of Disney store (again) and just to get out of the house some. I'll prob take my camera along and take some pics.
I'm off to play a mindless game and try not to throw things at KC as he plays his video games. :sad2::mad:
LORI had a slow start this morning. Linds is being tested for smarts. Congrats, Lindsey! Hey, what did grandma bring for supper?
(((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((
1 more day of training then I should be back on my regular vamping hours.:woohoo: Miss Thing (the one who tried to take over the computer) walked by today. I said 'Hi!' and she ignored me. I'm crushed.:rotfl2:
Got to have a good chat with one of me friends from work that I don't get to see very often. It was nice. I'm having lunch again with her tomorrow. I miss that part of day life.
I have to call Rockie tonight. I'm gonna watch the girls of NYC. I'm lovin' the Bethany/Kelly saga. Too funny! I can't remember what else is on.
I'm fixing salisbury steak and spanish rice. I believe I will indulge in a cervesa or 2.
Later dudes and dudettes!
My grandma brought a cabbage casserole (YUCK! Sorry but I'm not a cabbage fan) and mashed potatoes (YUM!). Her mashed potatoes always taste better than I make, or anyone else's really.
Glad you had a good day at work, minus the sleeping issue thing.
I like the girls of NYC but my favs are the OC gals. Did you see they are going to be doing one in NJ? They are to be doing a preview either tonight or next week on it. Looks good. :thumbsup2
Either way...both books sound good! And I am so hopin to get my dad a Kindle for his 60th birthday. He was just in here looking though my books (which there aren't a lot of and are all Chic Lit) tonight because he was out of his kind of books (murder mystery, suspense, thrillers, etc). Do they also have like a prepaid type thing or do you just have to buy books individually?
Evening all just home from work (2nd job) Tomorrow I am relaxing an just doing what I want to do like Dis and FB (if it lets me !!!!)
:thumbsup2
i'm trying to get caught up. I had to do my Easter shopping this morning and it took WAY too long. Shame on me for waiting for the last minute. Then I had to take my 6 year old, Delta to the doctor - he has been having reflux. The doctor wants to run more tests so that is a little scary. But delta is excited about it because he thinks the nurse's button is for room service. :lmao:
:hug::hug::hug:
My DD has reflux from time to time as well. She's had it since a baby and I know certain foods cause hers.
But great big :hug:. I know it is a scarey thing to have to go through.
But seriously, if we ever move again, I am basing it on school schedules.
Have you guys seen the new picnic in the park that you can get at AK? It's a counter service on the DDP and looks cute, obviously not in august as you have to eat outside in the designated picnic areas but in the cooler parts of the year :thumbsup2 details here!
Saw that last night on All ears. Looks GREAT! I am definitely doing this when we go back in Dec. It should be perfect for then!
*************
Ok, so I'm awake. Today is my recheck with the surgeon. Hoping (hoping!!) that I get the all clear to drive and clean again. I'm bored! LOL
Bob's off to the office today. He has a ton of stuff that piled up while he was taking care of me and the kids. Thank goodness he has a job that he can do that though. :goodvibes
I need coffee.
Good Luck today Mel and that you get good news! :hug:
***********************************************
Linds is at school. DR has school this afternoon and he has his Easter party at school today. Once I drop him off I have to go volunteer at Lindsey's class for the afternoon.
The sun is out and shining today and we are supposed to get into the mid 50's. Hopefully my mood will improve today. It's just so wrong to be getting snow in April. :sad2:
OK, I'm off to snuggle with DR on the couch and watch some TV. Hope y'all have a great Wednesday! :thumbsup2
Morning :goodvibes
Mel, hope the Dr gives you a good report...but still take it easy.
Lori, enjoy your snuggle time :cloud9:
Heading to Costco today. Anyone need anything? ;):rotfl2:
Isn't the not driving the worst. After Ihad Jimmy I had complication and I couldn't drive for three months. I went STIR CRAZY:dance3:
Hi Lori - Sounds like a busy day!
-------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm at work and the boys are off to Delaware. Jimmy has an appointment with his ear doctor, who is located at the Dupont Childrens Hospital in Delaware. Tonight Jimmy's friends Matt and Rose are sleeping over becasue they start their vacation after school today and mom & dad have to work tomorrow. When they get home from the doctor Jim is going to finish up the laundry and clean the living room, dining room, and powder room.
I'm at work and getting very frustrated! Long story short the boss is not telling anyone what the next move is in this reorganization, so I can't complete anything until the next steps are announced:headache:
I'll check back later everone!
Mel, hope the Dr gives you a good report...but still take it easy.
Thanks Kate. Uh, yeah could you get me some paper towels? LOL
Yes, Janet, I HATE not driving! Ugh!
New plan. Bob's office has no phones or internet after the storm. It took down a bunch of trees because the snow was soooo heavy and wet. He's working from home.
MEL
Morning Fockers! :goodvibes
Another day of school here. Nothing more than school... :banana:
I may run and get my hair cut, though. It's not so much curly as wavy now. I hope it's just gotten heavy, not that I messed it up with my hair dying this weekend. Did I mention that I started coloring my hair this weekend? I got tired of plucking greys too. :sad2: I like the color, but it's a bit darker than I thoguht it would be.
I'll be back laters. I'm chatting with a friend on FB. :surfweb:
Morning all!
Well, I'm feeling much better this morning. Not as achy. I've got the kitchen put back together and all the curtains vacuumed and re-hung. I just have to pick up and then I'll take some pictures.
I'm taking the girls to the Indy Children's Museum today for the day. Hopefully it won't be too busy. All the schools in Indianapolis proper had spring break last week. Our county has it this week though, so it might be packed. Oh well, it will be better than Disney -- but not as much fun!
Hope everyone has a great day! And I hope you get good news, Mel!!! :wizard:
I think you need to move back to the midwest, CE! Indianapolis is nice! And our schools are out in May! Of course, we go back August 12th this year, but still.....
I'd love it. That pesky great job of D's, though... ;)
Just recently started dying my hair because I was tired of pulling greyies. I am still not brave enough to experiment though. I just stick to my own hair color plus or minus a shade.
I do, really, too. It's always some form of brown. Right now it's burgundy brown, but I have plain ole dark brown ready and waiting - I have roots already. That's the bad part of the quickly growing hair. I started dyeing for fun, but I have some good pure white hairs going now, too. :headache:
Your IL school schedule sounds just like ours here. We are out May 22 and return mid-August. We get a week for fall break, 2 weeks for Christmas, and a week for spring break with several 3 day holidays sprinkled throughout.
Yeah, we never got a fall break back in the day, and I don't know if they're doing it there now. We usually didn't even get spring break. It was not at all a diverse community, so we usually got off - well, it would be today, the Wed. before Easter, whenever that was - at noon, and have off those 2 1/2 days as a "spring break." And, there weren't usually a ton of snow days. Anyway, I liked it better; even though you didn't get the time during the year, you got a real summer.
Read your first page of your TR. I use fake names for my family as well (in case you thought i really named our kids Alpha, Delta, Chi, omicron, and Delta). It's a long story but I have issues with my children's privacy.
Yeah, I figured. ;) It's actually my own name that is completely unique - my parents made it up - and I used to use my real name on reviews on amazon.com. Some woman was easily able to find my address and wrote me a letter based on a review. The letter wasn't scary - it had to do with potty training because the review was about a potty chair :rotfl:, but it really freaked me out. My DH said he felt more comfortable, since I use pictures, if I didn't identify our town or names.
Of course, now I'm on Facebook, and that's all out there - but I approve who can see it all, so... :confused3
I but the Carolyn Turgeon book on my wish list on paperbackswap! Thanks! I LOVE the Charlaine Harris books! I plan to re-read them before True Blood comes back on in June so I remember what the changed ion the show!
No problem! I finished the Sookie last night - I really enjoyed it. I don't know why I waited so long to get it. ;)
play a mindless game and try not to throw things at KC as he plays his video games.
Aw, honey. I'm sorry.
Her mashed potatoes always taste better than I make, or anyone else's really.
I feel the exact same way about my grandma's mashed potatoes. :thumbsup2
Is the 'Godmother' book an entire series? I could have sworn when I went to the boostore they have a few other books like that but telling from another characters point of view. Like they had the book Wicked there and then a few others. Maybe I'm just imaginang things since I had my whiny kids with me and I just wanted out of there. LOL
I think it's a growing genre - amazon.com had all sorts of "if you like this, you'd like these" recommendations. But I believe this is one of her first novels.
Do they also have like a prepaid type thing or do you just have to buy books individually?
You set up a "one-click" setting on amazon.com, and you buy individually, but you don't type in a cc# or anything, as you've set that up on their site.
Have you guys seen the new picnic in the park that you can get at AK? It's a counter service on the DDP and looks cute, obviously not in august as you have to eat outside in the designated picnic areas but in the cooler parts of the year details here!
Sounds fun!
Ok, so I'm awake. Today is my recheck with the surgeon. Hoping (hoping!!) that I get the all clear to drive and clean again. I'm bored! LOL
Fingers crossed for you!
OK, I'm off to snuggle with DR on the couch and watch some TV. Hope y'all have a great Wednesday! :thumbsup2
You, too!
Heading to Costco today. Anyone need anything? ;):rotfl2:
Probably! :rotfl:
:rotfl2:I agree. But maybe not for a picnic.
I'm at work and getting very frustrated! Long story short the boss is not telling anyone what the next move is in this reorganization, so I can't complete anything until the next steps are announced:headache:
My hair always waves up more (I never curl) when it's shorter - totally just the weight of the hair, for what it's worth. ;)
Pics if you do!
Hope everyone has a great day!
You, too! Have fun at the Museum. :goodvibes It's a neat one, as I remember.
**************************************************
Well. I've done nothing this morning. :rotfl2:
My friend who was possibly doing her basket shopping hasn't called. I don't know if I should go with her, anyway - I have some errands to do that are in the other direction. But I like spending time with her, so...
And I haven't showered, so even if she calls, I won't be ready to go. I need to do that. D bought a radio for the boat - it was missing, and the marina said that they'd put it in, or we could buy what we wanted and they'd knock the price of theirs off the boat. We could get a better one much cheaper, but the one D got didn't fit. :rolleyes: So, I have to return that by going to a UPS place, and I need to deposit a check at the bank.
It was nice and sunny when we got up this morning, but now it's clouded back over, and we're not supposed to hit 50 today. I am not sure the boys are wearing enough warm stuff - we've switched to fleece lined spring jackets, over the heavy Land's End winter coats - but maybe today would have been a good day for the heavy ones. Oops.
Anyway...
I should get off my bum and go do stuff, so I will. Hope everyone's having a nice morning. :grouphug:
She has morphed into a computer geek from a book worm.
:lmao: OMG, it's true!
Miss Thing (the one who tried to take over the computer) walked by today. I said 'Hi!' and she ignored me. I'm crushed.:rotfl2:
Hee, hee - love it! ;)
That Kelly certainly thinks she's all that. :snooty:
Is she a nut-job or what?! :sad2:
You know how sometimes you love someone but you really don't want to spend LONG periods of time with them?
Ummm..... YES!!! Try living with her. ;):rotfl: :hug:
I have 13 orders of mammals (marsupials especially) to memorize tonight.
I should send Leo to you - he's all about animal research these days!
And suddenly I am thankful we did not have snow.
No kidding - me too! :eek:
I don't know who Leo is but everyone else seems to be excited so I will too!
LOL, Leo is my DS6! :goodvibes He was at his dad's all last week for Spring Break and I missed him terribly. :sad1:
Heading to Costco today. Anyone need anything? ;):rotfl2:
TRAIL MIX!!! :rotfl2:
I'm at work and getting very frustrated! Long story short the boss is not telling anyone what the next move is in this reorganization, so I can't complete anything until the next steps are announced:headache:
BT/DT - it sucks. I'm sorry! :hug:
I may run and get my hair cut, though. It's not so much curly as wavy now. I hope it's just gotten heavy, not that I messed it up with my hair dying this weekend. Did I mention that I started coloring my hair this weekend? I got tired of plucking greys too. :sad2: I like the color, but it's a bit darker than I thoguht it would be.
Hate to say it, but... it may well be the color. When I do a deposit color with no lift (i.e: brown), it coats my curls and tames them down. My curls need a little abuse to perk up, lol!
Morning Fockers! :wave: It was cold, cold, cold down here this morning - 40s! :scared1: That's unheard-of for April. :sad2: Luckily, it'll be back up to 80s by the weekend. :cool2:
So I took Leo to his riding lesson last night... and got roped into taking some lessons myself! (pun intended) I've done a little riding and loved it, so I'm excited to start. Now I really, really have to win the lottery; we need a horse. :rolleyes:
That's the bad part of the quickly growing hair. I started dyeing for fun, but I have some good pure white hairs going now, too. :headache:
Missed this and Debra's original post... welcome to my world. :headache: I got to where I had to touch up roots every other week or MORE to keep the white from showing. Too much. I've just accepted that the only way to stretch my colorings a little longer is to go lighter. Over the past few weeks. I've stripped the dark brown down to a light-medium brown base with light brown, blond and reddish brown highlights (read: white with a little color on them). I still have to find something for the roots, though. And on it goes...
My hair always waves up more (I never curl) when it's shorter - totally just the weight of the hair, for what it's worth. ;)
Funny - mine's the total opposite!
DAWN - I forgot about this... Go to www.naturallycurly.com. Lots of great tips based on exactly what type of curl you have! :thumbsup2
And the picnic does not have a vegetarian option. Why is AK the least veg friendly park? :confused3:confused3
All this talk of hair colouring, I'm sure I'll be there in a few years, just the other day I found one lone silver hair, I am only 25! :sad2:
