So, V, is the iPhone worth it?

I'm not sure I'm the best person to answer that... this is only my second cell phone in 8 years (and the previous one only lasted 3 months), so I went from a phone that could make calls and texts and that's it to an iphone, lol! It's totally a luxury item for me - I certainly don't need it - but decided I was allowed to treat myself since I rarely do.

What I like:
I've got my phone, email, camera and texting in one device.

It's environmentally-friendly, not using bad stuff in its manufacture.

Instant Internet access - so often I'll need to check an email or weather forecast or the like, but it takes 15 minutes to fire up my laptop and modem. I love being able to do all that from my phone instead!

Applications - FB is nice, of course, plus things like GPS, Google Maps, restaurant finders, etc.

It's just fun to use!

I've had to new iphone for almost a year now and it changed my life. If your a compulsive planner or like to take notes its great as a planner and notepad, but it also does everything else too. I read all of the twilight books on my phone. I was able to download and application and just drop the files. Then dont forget theres the ipod too. Great to listen to your dis unplugged podcast in the car.

But I've been eyeing it for a while and I just don't know. I don't use half the features on my cell phone now, because I don't pay for data packages. (I already have AT&T, so it's not a carrier switch for me.) However, the iPhone package looks a lot more reasonable, and yep, it just looks like fun! Hmmm...

I got a text from Jen. She and Jon were in line for Mision Space with Jen2 and her DS. They will have Lapu in our honor (I think is probably old new since I saw Jen2 posted something on Facebook).

Also heard more infor about LLT (That's ok Jo I did my own research) Looks like the characters are coming back but not until September or October THat doesn't do me any good, but hopefully someone else can use this information.

Back to work...can anyone explain to me why all the grant funding announcements all come out at the same time and all have the same due date for the applications

Hope your all having a good Monday. Mine has sucked so far due to my ex. The kids were gone with him this entire weekend but he freaking drove me crazy with all these text messages. I had no plans for this morning so all I wanted to do was sleep in this morning but that didn't happen thanks to the ******* and his texts. Thank god he's leaving this afternoon.

When I got home, I had a new big car-type magnet from the Disney Mom's Club. I guess for applying for the Panel, they put me in the Club. Anyone else get one?

I got one too Yep as you applied for the panel you get to be in the Mickey's Mom Club, it has it's own seperate website which has some nice stuff on. They also just did a competition where 1000 people were chosen to get a party pack. Hopefully I'm getting one too

I did mop the bathroom and have done a bunch of laundry, but mostly now I'm addicted to that darn Bejeweled game on FB. Thanks, Jo.

The girls put up there little 3 man tent yesterday and left it up, well it's got really windy today and it almost blew away so we took it down but as we did we broke one of the posts But it didn't blow away

I am looking for a new phone too. I have an HTC Wing right now and i HATE it. I want KC's G1 phone BUT I don't really need it for Internet and the like and thats mostly what it does. KC said the iphone is a good phone - and that's saying something!! If he likes it then its good because he is one picky guy! Myself I just want a darn phone with a keyboard on it and it's nearly impossible to find a decent one!

I have given up on ever sleeping again. LOL. I just won't bother. Maybe then it'll just happen. I am about to have KC stop at the store on the way home and get me some sleeping pills of some kind.

Any suggestions?? Should I get a sleeping pill or a tylenol pm???

I did get to the store today tho, that was def good. I found some more stuff for my new coffee themed kitchen. I'm excited to switch it all over. I think it'll wait until thursday tho, when KC is off.

Today I plan to mop the bathroom, make some home made spaghetti and meatballs, and maybe start on cleaning out my closets.

I got Twilight today and I am a little disappointed at the deleted scenes, I thought there'd be more!

Some kind of Pain/sleep pills work best for me... but then again so does Benedryl as that ingredient is in some of the others.

I hope that everybody can get out of their "FUNK" It has been a long go at it for some of us.

My Orthopedic Surgeon said I need Knee surgery on my OTHER KNEE... Oh BOY !! Uh sorry I can not do that one right now. Vacations and WARM WEATHER in a MISERABLE leg brace in the heat .

Maybe December.. just like LAST TIME.. 2 days after Christmas.. tree and decorations all down... and I am in the hospital. NOT !!

Missed you guys but it looks like the Dis went down when I Left almost. Oh well it made it easier to catch up

On the Blood Pressure front... It's lower today... but still higher than I am used too. My Ear Infection is doing much better. I rode only 1 ride at Busch Gardens.. and walked a a pretty slow pace so as not to stress my Balance or my Heart.

I can't wait for my California trip - 61 days and counting til I board the plane. I'm thinking of attempting a trip report for this one, keep your eyes open for a PTR.

I got my Universal voucher for a free 7 day tix too, now just have to find a great rate on the Hotel for Septemeber, I really want to try Hard Rock, but I did love Portofino last time and Royal Pacific looks nice too. UGH, decisions, decisions. I did book the September air fare though, going Jet Blue for that trip. Same price as Continental, but no check bag fee and gotta love those TV's.

Usually a regular advil helps me sleep. I really don't know what the heck is up tho, usually when I am stressed I can't sleep but I am relatively calm. I just can not go to sleep. I slept i think 5 hours over a 10 hour period yesterday.

I'm hoping being out and about today and doing stuff in the house to keep me busy is going to help me sleep tonight. Otherwise I'll just finish reading Angels & Demons by Dan Brown, that I started yesterday and am on page 250 of! Yeesh.

That stinks about the knee surgery! At least you can postpone it for a while. And a mini vacation , even at a slow pace, is still a vacation!

Tylenol PM works ok for me, Advil PM gives me horrible nightmares I can't seem to wake up from. The day after I took it I threw the new bottle in the trash, but that was just me. I hope you get some sleep soon.

Last night I booked reservations for the hotel for the flights before and after our October trip, wrote out our budget for the rest of the year, and started writing out our itineraries for both trips as I was listening to my Specto CD. Does it sound like I am longing for the magic?

We went to see my son today and took our dog with us. My son lives in the country with many dogs, Ace our furbaby, really enjoyed his visit. He is passed out under the coffeetable now.

Dave and I went and played golf today, for a change, I've been chosen for the scratch team for my club and we're playing on Sunday so we went to the other course to have a practise. It was a very boring course though, very flat and up and down straight holes

Have you all seen the new DIS rules? No discussion is now allowed about politics or religion. Not quite sure how far that goes for example OMG but it does say no political stuff in siggies etc. Read Here!

I am relieved that they are instituting that rule. I don't enjoy people bashing other's beliefs. (Sadly, most of the political banter I've witnessed here on the DIS was bashing. I know not everyone does it.) And, as they state in the post, there are LOADS of other sites where you can indulge that if you want to...

Hello anyone I missed!
Wow, today was packed with stuff. I biked 7 miles at the gym, paid my bills, cleaned the kitchen, went to the bank, went to the grocery and picked up kids.
For dinner tonight I made Beef Satay with a spicy peanut dipping sauce! Yum. Got rave reviews from all the boys! That's always good. I can add it to my repertiore. (dang, sp?)
Bob painted my toenails for me after dinner. He does such a great job! I'm waiting for them to dry now so that I can put some fuzzy slippers on. My feet are freezing!

Dawn texted me earlier to say she had met JenM and JVJen. She was at Epcot and they are having a blast!

I got a call today from Gus' teacher. She was concerned because he burst into tears when she tried to tell him what he'd missed when he was home sick on Friday. I told her I've noticed he's been more moody lately but that I don't know what's up. I talked with him today when he came home and he said he just gets really mad and upset when he doesn't understand things. This is such a hard age with boys. SD went through it too, and it's tough. We'll be talking about it when I get home from WDW and trying to come up with some strategies for him. He's such a great kid, and sensitive, but it's going to be a real hindrance to him come middle school next year!

i never used any features on my phone or even texted. i also didnt really use my ipod very much because it was another thing to lug around. now that i have it all in one device i use i constantly and everything is really easy to use! i use every feature my phone offers now. I dont feel like im paying for something i dont use or have too many useless functions. I think if you already use your ipod and a kindle, the iphone would be a perfect way to combine everything.

Just home from my second job!! Not a bad night this week just someone had to goto the ER but the of us hanled the house with no problems.

Hello everyone. I am done for the semester except for a few more hours of student teaching. I was so sick and just now feeling better. I am still needing a nap each day. My teacher saved me by giving me an extension for the student teaching. Next semester starts April 6 the same week the kids are out for Spring Break.
Nana and I are going to go look for a dress for her this Saturday. I am thinking of going into Fort Wayne or Chicago for this big event.
I will jump in but please let me know if I am missing something big in anyones life.

It's been a crazy day here. And I've still got plenty to keep me busy. At some point this week, I must finish our taxes. And I've got a big PTO meeting tomorrow, so I need to get the financials done for that! ARGHH!!!

Right now I've got a headache and just want to go to bed, so that's what I'm doing. Talk to you all tomorrow morning!
