Have fun Katt! Sorry you cant bowl.. I love bowling,,but my butt is sore for days after!!

As much as I am dying to know WHY !!!! I'll not ask... Maybe you do not understand HOW you Bowl..
Most of us use our Arms... Gotta say never tried it THAT WAY
I guess I could bowl totally left handed.. I usually switch around..
When one arm gets tired or when I need the ball to go where I need it.. I use different arms depending on where I left the pins.

Well, we just got home from the pool. I sat in the shade the whole time watching them. Our neighbor and her two girls were there, so my girls had kids to play with. It worked out well.

Now it's time to put the sheets back on the beds and get dinner started. The sooner we eat, the sooner I can put the girls to bed, right? Since they didn't get as much sleep as usual last night, they'll be going to bed early tonight. Plus, the road our church is on is under construction, so we need to leave early in the morning. The traffic will be worse than normal (and that's bad enough).

You mean the road on property or the main road ?? I could fire a cannon ball down the main road to my church and not hit anybody in the morning.. by 12:30 when I am leaving.. DIFFERENT STORY.

The road the church is on. We're also building a new wing in the children's area and a new entrance road, so there's plenty of construction within the church grounds as well. It's a bit crazy around there. We go to a really large church (about 4500 people each Sunday) and the road the church is on is only two lanes, so it's always bad. But now the city has decided to tear up the road, so we all have to enter from the back entrance through an office park.

Sounds like heaven! I'd love to be all alone in my own house! DH just called and he's coming home tonight. The training that he was attending today is done for the day and it's only a 45 minute drive to the place where it was held. He has to be back there tomorrow morning at 8am, but he said he'd rather drive home tonight and sleep in his own bed than stay in a hotel. I'm okay with that because he'll help me with the girls tonight. Of course, I was sorta looking forward to some time by myself after the girls were in bed...

We're really chatty because we're all trying to catch up to Janet now that she's not here!

We had Janet and Mel both come online and say Hi.. I was thinking that Dawn spoke with someone .
Janet sent me a Text saying that they were WET but fine.
Jo had "ressies" at Biergarten for 5:05 so I would assume they are over or almost over.

everything is cool now, i;m just waiting for the meeting, then i can freak out. i'm requesting regan to be mainstreamed with an aide. i want her in the spec ed class for st/ot, periods of sensory overload/ emotional problems. she doesn't have too many emotional breakdowns, so i don't think it will be a problem. she i just so smart, i don't think she is being challenged in the spec ed class all day. she doesn't have problems academically. her only problem will be her attention span. however, with an attendent, she can be easily redirected. they are kinda between dx of high funct. autism and asbergers. typically, asbergers don't have any lang delay, but regan did. however, her behaviors/ level are more along lines of asbergers. i'm angry that the school didnt' inform me of least restrictive education. they are required to offer mainstream with attendent. my husband is an attorney, so i will take it all the way to court if need be. i'm just hoping it doesnt get to that point. i'm also looking at legal assisntance thru the autism resource center and other places. my husband is a liscensed atty., but has no exp. in this field of law. but, at least he can interpret law and know exactly what they are required to offer us. that really helps. i'm just getting all my ducks in a row right now. i have most of my research together to whip out if needed at the meeting. i think it will work out. i'm one of those annoying optimists!~!!!@!!!

2nd Grade.. Oh Yeah.. she can mainstream for MOST of the day.. I would expect it to get more difficult.. but who knows..

This can be a touchy subject.. I see both sides,, depends on what the "Special" kids are doing and how they function as to when to pull them in my opinion.

I totally agree with your last comment. As Christina Applegate said recently, she'll be the perkiest gal in the nursing home!

So, only three more to beat Mel and then another two to get ahead of TE. I think I can do it. I'm still not sure I can get ahead of Janet.... how long is she going to be gone???

In our county we have people called a parent advocate. They are well versed in the laws and rights of kids that have IEP's. You pay them a nominal fee and they come to the meetings with you.

I would also ask to record the meeting, and bring a tape recorder. It sounds like you know what she needs, so stick to your guns. My daughter has a little boy with Autism in her class with an aide and he has made such progress and is well loved by the class. Good Luck and hang tough

rachel, while my dgd doesn't have autism etc , she is diagnosed with a learning disability. She has received excellent help in grade school. She is now heading to Jr High and the school she should attend according to where we live is full so they decided to switch them to another which we absolutely did not want her to go to. DD got on the phone and blasted them when they dug in she said no problem I'm calling the child advocate. Thet immediately backed off and they are going where we want them, she may not get as much help as she did in grade school to begin with but we are prepared to help at home and we will push hard and we will get what we want.Emotionally she has problems too and that is a big reason for us wanting the school we want, Jr High is tough enough w/o the rep. the other school has and has had for years !IT IS SO HARD FOR HER BEING A TWIN, THERE IS NO WAY SHE DOESNT KNOW SHE HAS PROBLEMS LEARNING.

Well She left Tuesday I think.. so .. When did she say she was coming back...you should be good till Tuesday anyway.

Don't ask.. just bring it.. IF they are being Fair.. they should have NO PROBLEM. Tell them it's to make sure you did not misunderstand anything.. and if Hubby can't be there.. "so he can hear how the meeting went.
Yes... I recorded meetings IT IS A GREAT IDEA..WHEN they KNEW I was recording it was a totally different meeting.. I hid it twice.. til about mid way through.. and then... the squirming in the seats after I put it on the table... One time I was asked.. has that been on the whole time ??

Losing "those things" I feel for me would be the easy part. I could be wrong.. but I do not think so. Scott would have a rough time with it.
At least then I could "Pick my Size" and they stay there. And they would be "Perky" till I was 115
