GEO-82 Lounge now open at Epcot

I'm seeing fireworks package reservation availability for 8:00 in late August which is also the advertised closing time for the lounge. If one were to book a reservation time close to 8:00 does anyone know if they kick you out before fireworks at 9 or do they let you stay in there with the folks who paid a lot more to be there? I assume they want you out of there, and rightly so, but am curious as to how that works. I think I would be highly peeved if I paid for the fireworks package and a bunch of other people who didn't pay for it were in there too. I understand there is no time or drink maximum so technically you could stay in there until last call whenever that may be.

The package is for the tables by the windows. Everywhere else people can stay, they don't ask you to leave.

If you are seated at a table by the window and 8:00 comes around, they will move you to other seating so those with packages can sit there.

That seals the deal for me then. I will not buy that package as long as others who didn't buy it will be in there too. After a couple of poor experiences with non-paying guests at MK AH parties I'm just going to assume that the non-paying guests at these events will also not be controlled carefully. I certainly don't want a bunch of people standing around my window table to get video or a better view of the show outside. Unless I see otherwise on vlogs or reports of this experience, I'll save my money.

Well, if it helps all the vlogs I've seen, everyone stayed seated at the table as honestly, the other tables have a good view too. And no kids allowed, so that would help with little children trying to see.

But hey, I wouldn't pay for it either!

I just did this fireworks package last Saturday, and while I'm glad I did it, I won't do it again.

So for the viewing area there were 7 tables reserved for the package, 4 next to the windows and 3 set back from the windows. 3/4 of the window seats were for 4 people, while one had 2, all the ones set back from the windows were 2 seaters. It was just my girlfriend and I and we were away from the window but were fortunate that we were the dead center football shaped booth. we had a straight on view of the show and weren't really looking over the tables in front of us to see. We did hear one of the other 2 top tables complain about the view, and I don't blame them. The two tables to the side of us looked like they were set right behind two windows tables so they were having to look over the tables to see the show.

The food is what is pictured and I felt all tasted good, I do not think you can refills on the food, though I didnt ask. All the drinks were good, I don't normally drink champagne and enjoyed it. I got the old fashioned and my girlfriend the margarita. We both enjoyed the, though wish the regular menu was included with the show.

Overall I really think people are better off making 8pm or so reservation s and staying for the show. All the tables by us when we were seated stayed for the show and had almost as good seats.

A whole bunch of ADRs were dropped for August and early Sept, it's worth checking if you've been trying to book and haven't been able to. I managed to get an 8:15p the second to last night of my trip in August.
Darn it, nothing for the date I want - I have a noonish one but want to shift to 8ish if I can!

Honestly…get mouse dining and set up alerts. That’s how I got mine, it’s well worth the subscription especially for newer places. I notice Disney tends to do this sort of thing with newer places where they’ll drop a whole bunch of ADRs in the system at once out of nowhere after holding back on them (maybe trying to figure out capacity) and if you’ve got alerts set up then you know and can take advantage.

Had a late afternoon ADR here last Wednesday as I was unable to get an evening reservation. We were greeted by a staff member at the elevator and handed a frozen finger cloth which was soo welcomed; the weather was brutally hot! Waited for about 2 minutes for a table and given a choice of barstools or table: we chose the small table and chairs in the center area. It overlooked the lake which you could clearly see through slightly tinted windows.

After taking in the vista and reading the menus, we opted for a mocktail Manhattan and a rum margarita with a tuna appetizer. This is a pic of the starter. There was actually 3 pieces but it took awhile before decided to take a photo:

I found the fish quite fresh and the fruit and caviar dressing a good accompaniment but to be honest my companion doesn’t like sushi.

Our table was small so ordering one dish at a time made sense. Tables by the windows and the Boothe’s are larger in size. Our next order was a mushroom flatbread which was phenomenal and enjoyed by both of us. The mushrooms were roasted until sweet and covered withe cheese and micro greens.

I believe the total bill for 2 was about $100.00 before tip. Should point out that there was a brisk business selling the charcuterie plate and flights of various alcohols. Found the charcuterie tempting but since that was a nightly terrace snack I’d brought with us bypassed it this time. The flights seemed exceptionally appealing to various men; ordered by at least 3 near our table.

Glad we went but think I’ll wait until the hype dies down to return, hopefully acquiring an evening reservation.

I know… I have stakeout on my phone and just hadn’t upped to the paid yet. Doing now!!
