It all started with one woman's dream... a dream of finding a way to non-verbally acknowledge a fellow DISer across a crowded park...

Summer 2006: a terrific DISer named Lisa posed the question of how to acknowledge all those Lime Green Mickey Heads (LGMH's), lime green Crocs, lime green Baggallini's, lime green DISERS, when one is standing in line or otherwise unable to engage in conversation.

The answer? Robert DeNiro's infamous "I'm Watching You Focker!" gesture from Meet the Parents:

What followed was the joining together of many DISers willing to give The Look to other DISers. We began posting trip details in order to find one another. Then, we started chatting about our trips and building friendships. That's when it got chatty. REALLY chatty. Which is the reason for this thread - here we can chat away, keep in touch with old friends and make new ones.

We are TEAM FOCKER WATCH!

One rule:
Let's keep it clean! We all know how much fun one can have with the name Focker, but let's refrain from inappropriate word-plays with it on the boards, k?

We went to the historic district today but din't stay long because it would start raining and then stop, start and then stop. After the 3rd time I was annoyed and we left. Plus we couldn't go into any of the federal buildings (INdependence Hall, LIberty Bell, Etc) becasue you are wanded and bags searched. Jim forgot to leave his pocket knife home

It was a weird day here, too: cloudy and sprinkly. Bleeeh. We did get some swimming in and I took Leo to the art museum. He liked it and I got such a kick out of his interpretations! It was like having a mini art critic with me...

"Mommy - I like this one. Look, the black things look like trees and I think that red spot is supposed to be fire. And lookatthat face in the bushes. I think the artist was angry."

Jen was asking because her DH wants to buy some. They were HUGE when I was in 6-9ish grades; I had blue, my BFF had green and we each swapped one so we'd have one of each! And we wore them with jeans rolled in tightly at the ankle. And sailing knot rope bracelets.
