Morning! I am happy to say that Leo is AT LAST flu-free and back to school! I'm still sniffly, sneezy, coughy and fever-y, but I'm at work anyway. Can't afford to lose any more hours as vacation and sick all comes from the same bunch of hours.

Anyways it ended up that we celebrated Erich's birthday with mom today, we went out to lunch, I baked a cake and we gave Erich his new camera which he loved. I also decorated the cake with Power Rangers. If you remember from my TR, Alek and Erich were all about the PRs, so I had to buy them for the cake when I saw them a few weeks ago on sale.

We are going to go up to my dad's in two weeks for Erich's birthday Part 2. Maybe I will run into Heidi in town.

Sounds great Lessa, I was 18 when my parents split too, not sure if that was better or worse as I was used by my Mum as a go between

haven't seen it yet, but would like to. DH wants to see "Leatherheads" but we didn't want to go with him! Maybe we can trade movies this weekend!

Yeah.. They are in his area.. across town. He maybe see's the 22 year old more than the 14 since she was the first grandchild and she can drive.
But it would totally be his idea to visit. He actually took her with him to visit Rick in Hong Kong for his"wedding" and to bring $$$. Yup something akin to a "Dowery" that Rick paid to marry this man's daughter.

BUT.. here's the Kicker for me at least... Anna is so....Nice that it has been up to her to keep Ricks's bills going and she had to get the money out of the Bank for Rick for the Dowery... HUMPH !!! If it was me... Yeah Right buster.. you want YOUR BILLS PAID.. you do it.. you want money to Marry your *&!@$?*!! Then YOU COME BACK OVER HERE AND GET IT.

Like I said.. "A SLOW PAINFUL DEATH... NO DIVORCES HERE !!!"

I swear by Zicam! I have the liquid one and I put it in my hot tea with some honey and you can't barely taste it. It seems to work for me.

Yes she still is covering his bills and his company still has him there in Him Kong... AND his wife cannot get a Visa(Mastercard or AMEX
so he is not coming home anyway soon.. not that he wants to. Last time he was back home he managed to dodge Scott the entire time.. not wanting to hear Scott's lecture.

\V - Glad Leo is better and you take care of yourself so you can get better too. It;s aggravating being limited to the amount of time you can take off when you or you kid is sick isn't it. Our county works on hours too, but we get a seprate vacation and sick pool. However, if you use sick, after 2 days you have to have a doctor's note.

Hi Guys,

Very stressful night here. DH is working at the firehouse tonight. I took the girls out to dinner and when we got home I discovered that our dog had ripped into a plastic grocery sack on the office floor and had eaten an entire chocolate bunny. He actually ripped open the packaging and everything! So, I just had to give my dog hydrogen peroxide to induce vomiting! This dog is going to be the end of me. First I had to chase him around the yard to get a urine sample last week and now induce vomiting! I've never had to do either with my kids!

Anyway, I'm ready for a drink. Ed... what are you serving tonight? And do you ship to Indiana??

OMG, Jodi! That's awful! My MIL had a teacup poodle years ago. He was about 4 pounds. He somehow got ahold of a box of chocolates (the small, 4 peice kind) and tore off the plastic, removed the cover and then took out the chocolates one by one and ate them. My MIL said she COULD NOT believe that he did all that without getting ONE single tooth mark, scrape or bite onto the packaging! Darn tricky dogs. She had to give him the peroxide too. It was funny, he looked like a rabid rat. Sorry about your bad day!

At least you caught it before it did any real damage to him.

A friends dog did this with a whole box of tastykake cupcakes (A philly thing). Anyway he took him to the vet and the vet coulsn't believe she was still with us
