I was going through my photobucket album to see if I had any pics of my house....and look what I found!!
Jo's vacation home!

Oh the memories you must have!:cloud9: :lmao:

:rotfl: :lmao: Oooooohhhhh, aahhhhhh, what a pretty summer home.

When I was a kid, I once faked a broken arm. My sister broke her arm and I thought her cast looked cool. So one night I was walking into the house and the screen door shut on my arm as I was walking through so I started screaming, saying I broke my arm. They took me to the hospital and the whole time I was saying I couldn't move my arm. When we got home I started playing.
I got one for you. One day when we got back from the store I went up to our storm door and it wouldn't open. It was a little stuck so I hit the window and totally cracked it. My mom comes up to me and asked what happened and I said, "Ooo...I tripped up the stairs and hit my head on the glass." I got special attention that day....

I started renting Grey's and DH made fun and said he wouldn't watch it. Now he's hooked. Yes DM, I have time to rent. I also rent 24.
I have no time to rent. But I did buy season 1 of Prison Break. I love that show. No time to watch it tho.

Also it's not a baby party I'm sure your girls would love it, probably half the people there were either with grown up kids or none at all!

I just have to throw in that my real life friend Dr. Belle (csuzannet on the boards) went with her parents, and loved it. She's 35. Her parents loved it - they're not quite 60... ;) She did a 3 day Labor Day trip. I've been trying to get her to do a TR, but so far...

Wow you lot do some weird things ;) :rotfl2: Sounds fun though!!!!

Woody loved it, especially since he won! ;)

So are you still in your jammies? :rotfl: Glad you had a nice time last night and you didn't meet anyone?

No, it was really weird. The room was full, and Woody found a classmate who chased him around the room for an hour - a girl that lives in our neighborhood, though I don't know her. I kind of said "hi" to one of Buzz's classmates mom's - we each asked if they knew each other... That was about it! I feel so out of the loop in this town... :sad2:

We wound up going hiking at a state park near us. It was a great day, even if it didn't start until 1:00! :rotfl2:

That's really interesting! Thanks for doing the research. I only know about cake walks because of an episode of That 70's Show.:rotfl:

I remember that one! :rotfl2:

Yes - we're going to the DVC there. I hope it is fun and I'm not wishing I was at Disney.

D thought it was a really nice place, he just felt weird being the wandering lone man amongst all the families. ;) It WAS that trip that made him start talking about the WDW trip, though, so it worked out well for me. :cool2:

 :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

but we saw lots of adults without kids and lots and lots of teeenagers.

Yup, see above! She purposely mentioned getting V's pirate ears (she lurks, if not posts on V's TR's, I know she posted on LL's at least once...) and her folks had on "sailory" type things. They had a blast!

I started renting Grey's and DH made fun and said he wouldn't watch it. Now he's hooked.

I had it at the top of my Netflix for a bit, but I have to coordinate for when D's here - if I know he'll be away for a while, I'll get something for just me, but when he's home I try to surprise him with fun stuff we'll both like. I have the one-at-a-time plan, which makes it a little more iffy.

 :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I don't remember ever faking an injury, but I did fudge on hitting a stop sign with my car when I was 17... :rolleyes1 (The stop sign was fine, but my sideview mirror, not so much.)

Hi everyone!:goodvibes Hope you all had wonderful Saturdays!

Thanks for all the opinions on my restaraunt choices.:thumbsup2 I already have ADRs for all of them, even Le Cellier but I am still not sure about Prime Time.Just not sure where else to try...

Peyton(DS10) played in his football game and lived to tell about it.:woohoo: He did get tackled by a kid with a red X on his helmet which means he weighs more than 120 lbs.Peyton weighed in at 62 lbs.:scared1: He ran for a touchdown and threw for one and we won the game.:cheer2: He was soo excited all afternoon.:goodvibes

Hope everyone has a great Sunday-I will be back at ballfields but at least it will be a pretty day for it.

I was looking through my videos in photobucket to see which ones to use in my Trip report :rolleyes1 and thought this one was cute but offtopic for my report. She was on her first fieldtrip and was saying the prayer for snack.

Unlike all of you I never have to fake injuries as I hurt myself enough as it is. I am always falling down stairs or tripping/banging into things, don't know what is wrong with me. :confused3

One night I came home from work and it was 4 in the morning so I didn't want to turn any lights on as I might wake somebody up. I was walking down the stairs while holding my cat and I slipped. I flew backwards smacked my head on the stairs and then fell the rest of the way down. Luckily for my cat I had thrown her forward and away from me so she wasn't injured just really scared, her tail got all puffed up. I of course screamed bloody murder while falling and woke the whole house up. They thought I was really hurt because I had blood all over my face. They wanted to get me to the bathroom and clean me up and make sure that I didn't need to go to the hospital but I was too worried about making sure my cat was alright!:lmao: So I was crawling around the basement looking for the cat while bleeding all over the place.:rolleyes1

Well turns out I had a slight concussion from smacking my head so hard, I had torn my lip from the inside:confused3 , thus the blood and I had some nasty bruises for a few weeks.

That sort of thing happens to me all the time though. My friend said that I should walk around wearing a helmet at all times because I am always falling and hitting my head. I am surprised that I have never broken a bone being the big klutz that I am.:rotfl:

This is apparently a nice time here in the mountains--leaves are just starting to turn. I'll get some pics from my front deck when they start.
Thanks for the cake stuff and I would love to see photos of your house and the colour changes!

Oh the memories you must have!:cloud9: :lmao:
Thanks for that TE :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

I am actually working on it ... :rolleyes1
Oh good!!!!

Yes your HIGHNESS. And Yay for you! But don't they know they are supposed to let the Queen be #1?:confused3 .
I know :snooty:

So we figured how to make half and save the other half and we are almost finished with the half.
Wow how do you feel this morning? :rotfl2:

They took me to the hospital and the whole time I was saying I couldn't move my arm. When we got home I started playing.
So what Jess would do!!!!

:rotfl: :lmao: Oooooohhhhh, aahhhhhh, what a pretty summer home.
You may laugh but we really did stay in a mobile home summer 2006 in Scotland :rotfl2:

I got one for you. One day when we got back from the store I went up to our storm door and it wouldn't open. It was a little stuck so I hit the window and totally cracked it. Ooooo you naughty girl you :rotfl2:

I feel so out of the loop in this town... :sad2: )
Oh no how long have you been there? Mums can be so clicky can't they and often with out even realising :confused3

He did get tackled by a kid with a red X on his helmet which means he weighs more than 120 lbs.Peyton weighed in at 62 lbs.:scared1:
Firstly yeah for winning but OUCH hope he was OK

She was on her first fieldtrip and was saying the prayer for snack.
Awwww Amy sooooo cute :cutie:

Unlike all of you I never have to fake injuries as I hurt myself enough as it is. I am always falling down stairs or tripping/banging into things, don't know what is wrong with me. :confused3
Ouch Lessa, take care of your self

I've just seen an advert about a new TV programme, I've heard you all say about are you smarter than a fifth grader well we're getting are you smarter than a 10 year old!!!!

Thanks, but I have my own. My in-laws left today. DH and I went shopping and one of the stores had a margarita mix they were giving samples for, but made with Ginger Ale, instead of the Tequila. We bought it and when we got home, realized it is a party bucket. You have to make the entire thing at once and it makes 20 drinks.:scared1: So we figured how to make half and save the other half and we are almost finished with the half.
HOW ARE YOU FEELING THIS MORNING???? :rotfl2:

When I was a kid, I once faked a broken arm.
So, when you REALLY broke your arm, did they ignore you?? ;)

We got there at 4:15 and they gave us our bracelets and were set to go. We had 4:30 CRT ressies, so it worked out perfectly for us. We just spent the day relaxing. Definitely not a baby party. They had things for the little one's, but we saw lots of adults without kids and lots and lots of teeenagers.
Good to know. Thx Janet

S'late!!!!!!!!! Where ya been! I miss you!
I had the same response! Hey--did you know she has a TR going? Or maybe a PTR--I haven't read it all yet, cause no one invited me. I just stumbled through the door, unannounced. :sad2:

:rotfl: :lmao: Oooooohhhhh, aahhhhhh, what a pretty summer home.
Hey--don't laugh--Jo really DID send me that picture of her vacation in Scotland! (I have NO idea why I saved it, though!) She calls it a caravan.........and thus she was nicknamed Caravan Queen! :thumbsup2

I got one for you. One day when we got back from the store I went up to our storm door and it wouldn't open. It was a little stuck so I hit the window and totally cracked it. Wish we were closer. It's hard always trying to make new friends (and there seem to be fewer SAHMs here--most have went back to work with older kids):sad1:

I had it at the top of my Netflix for a bit, but I have to coordinate for when D's here - if I know he'll be away for a while, I'll get something for just me, but when he's home I try to surprise him with fun stuff we'll both like. I have the one-at-a-time plan, which makes it a little more iffy.
I have had Netflix for 3 years, but I am considering canceling it. They take 7 days to return a movie and get another one. Plus the kids keep messing up my queqe (what IS that word, anyway??)

Well turns out I had a slight concussion from smacking my head so hard, I had torn my lip from the inside:confused3 , thus the blood and I had some nasty bruises for a few weeks.

:scared1: so the cat was ok??;)
I have fallen with my cat too--probably cause she weighs 20# and doesn't like to be carried much. She lands on her feet, and I land on my rear (better than my head, I guess).:thumbsup2

Thanks for that TE :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

You may laugh but we really did stay in a mobile home summer 2006 in Scotland :rotfl2:
Told you so!!

I've just seen an advert about a new TV programme, I've heard you all say about are you smarter than a fifth grader well we're getting are you smarter than a 10 year old!!!!
Guess they changed the name cause you don't have grades (BA is confused about that BTW--and hoping Ellie will explain!)
Watch the show tho--sometimes I can't get passed the first grader ones (6 yo)! :rotfl2:

I was looking through my videos in photobucket to see which ones to use in my Trip report :rolleyes1 and thought this one was cute but offtopic for my report. She was on her first fieldtrip and was saying the prayer for snack.
That is a cute blessing. I know Brookie's preschool (which is our church) has a cute blessing before snack but they don't sing it. Your's is cuter.

Well turns out I had a slight concussion from smacking my head so hard, I had torn my lip from the inside:confused3 , thus the blood and I had some nasty bruises for a few weeks.
Well, that is just not funny at all. Get with the program and get funny here or else I'll give you unfunny points. :teacher:

Sorry about that accident. ;)

Do you have long lost relatives in IL? Because, this SO sounds like something that I would do. I am not graceful. :goodvibes

Oh no how long have you been there? Mums can be so clicky can't they and often with out even realising :confused3

We've lived here for nearly 6 years - moved into the house whilst I was pregnant. My street is wonderful - it's only a block long and I'm really close to my neighbors, but for the most part, the kids on the block are all older. We have one family 2 houses away with a girl just a year older, and I did talk to her at the social - but didn't meet anyone new.

I knew all along that it was my choice to put the kids in a preschool in a different town, and that they'd not know kids in the public school, but I also then don't know any moms. I understand that I made that choice, but at preschool I knew everyone because we picked up inside, and if you got there 5 minutes early, you had lots of chances to talk. The boys take the bus to school, and it's just a carpool lane for picking up, so we don't have a chance to chat.

My other group of friends are a group of twin moms - we have a standing weekly playdate, but as we all met at a kind of area twin mom group, there's only one of the 7 in my town. And, her kids didn't make the birthday cut off for k-g this year, and they'll even be in one of the other elementary schools.

At any rate, I have friends, they're just not the people that my kids will know from school! I just hate not knowing anyone at functions and such!

I did sign up to volunteer at the school, but they haven't worked out the scheduling and so forth yet. So, hopefully I'll meet some people doing that. :thumbsup2

Thanks, TE. As I said to Jo up above, I DO have friends, they're just not here in this town. And, I feel weird at the school stuff becuase I really like to be "in the know" and I'm not, and I don't know anyone to ask. KWIM? The neighbor two houses over is nice, and she actually just took a job at the school, so you'd think she'd be a font of info, but she is one of those "vague" personalities and doesn't seem to remember things from year to year.

My other neighbor is a really good friend, but she sends her kids to private school in the next town, so she can't help me "figure it out" either. ;)

On another note, I sometimes feel that my Netflix is a waste because we sometimes hold onto a movie for a month trying to find a night where we're both home AND not watching something on regular TV, but we don't have a good rental place nearby, so this works. :upsidedow

Hi Jo The Queen of Dis !! I wasn't quick enough to explain the cake walk:confused3 but yes I knew I am Bi Lingual you see Can help my countrymen?women and mynew ( or maybe old) country men in translations:lmao: "Now if I could transfer those skills to my computur!!!:surfweb: :rotfl2: I do have a questiion about P&PP What time does it start ? Hi everyone!:goodvibes Hope you all had wonderful Saturdays!
Hey Amy--
somehow my multi-quoting skills got distracted whilst I was watching the video!

Super cute of her with the blessing!!

And yeah to Peyton for the football game!!! (does it make you nervous watching him?? I'm glad mine are cheerleaders!) :rotfl2:

Last year, BA cheered for little league football (6-9 year olds) and the mommas of the players would be screaming "oh, no he dien't---he betta get off my baby, right NOW!"
:rotfl2:

And BA got SO mad when the crowd would stand up and yell when the team scored......cause it TOTALLY messed up their cheer! :rotfl2:

Wish we were closer. It's hard always trying to make new friends (and there seem to be fewer SAHMs here--most have went back to work with

School starts here at 4 y/o which is called Reception then year 1 is the 5-6, year 2 6-7 all the way to year 13 which is 17-18 year olds! Ellie is in year 5 and Jess year 7. BTW not that I've been lookng or anything :rolleyes1 but it does make me laugh Jess has just started being Michelle's DD's penpal and she has written quite long letters whereas Ellie and your DD say about 1 sentence :rotfl2:

The boys take the bus to school, and it's just a carpool lane for picking up, so we don't have a chance to chat.
This is me with Jess now, I'm so used to knowing everything and being on first name terms with the Head Mistress and now Jess goes off on the bus and we never go to the school!!!! Glad you have other friends though we all thought you were Billy no mates ;) :rotfl2: LY CE

Hey, TE, nice sig pic... :rotfl2:
And you said you weren't there :rotfl2:

My DD and I lived in a trailer very similar for many years after I divorced. Ours wasn't as nice though.
Ours wasn't nice either (that wasn't the actual one!) we stayed for 1 week last August and every night the girls went to bed in sweaters, socks and hats because it was so cold :cold:

OK so guess who's going to POR August 14th to 28th with free dining!!!!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

That's funny! She has to compete for computer time with me and her sis (which means if she stands up--we grab the computer!). She liked the BBB pics and said she made get the DIVA next time (she did princess before).

we all thought you were Billy no mates
Is that a goat reference??

No way!!! So--tell me what convinced you about POR. BA thinks it looks cool too. (never seen it in person tho). Did you book a room only or package?

Hmm...is that a UK deal? I don't remember that. I think all we get is a Planet Hollywood coupon (which I hear is extremely valuable....wanna trade???) :lmao:

Well, that is just not funny at all. Get with the program and get funny here or else I'll give you unfunny points. :teacher:

Sorry about that accident. ;)

My clumsiness is a running joke around here. People are always poking fun at me for it. A group was talking about going paintballing and they joked that they don't want me on their team as I am likely to trip and shoot my team members by mistake. Makes me feel really loved.;) :rotfl:
