Just popping in to say "Good Morning Fockers!" :goodvibes

Jo- so sorry to hear about Ben, I hope it's not too serious and wish him a speedy recovery! :hug:

What:rolleyes1

My Sister just phoned her DS Ben who's about 2 months old has been admitted to hospital :eek: When I went round on Sunday he had a rash on his tummy (diaper area) and she thought it may be chicken pox. She went to the Dr on Monday who said it was eczema, it got worse to Tuesday they went to ER who said definitely not eczema so don't use the creams the Dr had given but they didn't know what it was. Well today it was even worse so they went back and they've diagnosed Impetigo but as he's so young they need to admit him probably for a few days :sad2:

GOsh Jo, I hope everything is okay. Impetigo...I thought that was pink eye...guess it's a good thing I don't have a medical degree.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

We got a note home from school yesterday that there are 2 confirmed cases of, get this...moscullom contagiosum...Yeah, Jim and I had the same reaction:confused3 So we called the peditirician to find out if we needed to do anything. Jim's response was I am going to have a hard time telling the doctor about something that sounds like a Harry POtter spell. Anyway it is a rash that is viral in nature so there is really not much that can be done except washing hands, etc. Jimmy doesn't have it, but we called the ped to see if there was something we could do to prevent it, KWIM? This is the bad thing about daycare/school..you learn things about diseases you have never heard of and really didn't want to in the first place.

V - Please ignore all the bad punctuation;)

Thanks V and no naughty mind comments from you :hug: :rotfl2:
But the sad part is, I wasn't awake enough to even catch them this morning! T will be so disappointed.

Poor baby! Hope they clear it up quickly.

Do you get rid of it with a swish and a flick?!

Didn't see any! :thumbsup2

Jo- Sorry to hear about baby Ben. He's so little! Oh, I figured out what a sneeze is--my poor innocent eyes! Now I can go back and reread the sneezing posts!!

Acejka (Anna????) I will PM you info about waterbirth. This is only my second day here, I don't want to scare the ladies away with my slightly hippyish ways just yet. :hippie:

Mel-Where in Oakland Co? We have a ton of family in that area.

Can someone please, please, PLEASE teach me how to do multiple quotes? I want to be fancy. Ive tried using that little button next to the quick reply, but then what do I do?

If you click on where the arrow is pointing on all of the posts you want to quote (they'll turn red) then when you're done press reply and they'll all be there, you can then delete bits etc :thumbsup2

I think there are a few hippie chicks around here too, Anna.:goodvibes

I just noticed, you're expecting a baby! Our first TFW baby! :cloud9:

Anna: We are near Pine Knob. Can't get too much more detailed as the "stalkers" could be about.

Sorry about Ben, Jo.

Bye Fockers

Jo ~ Did Ben run a fever anytime in the past few days? My oldest had roseola (sp?) at about that age....fever first, then once the fever broke he had a head to toe rash for a few days. Scary stuff. I hope Ben is okay.

Me, me!!! :yay: Well, kinda... I'm pretty crunchy-granola about a lot things, but not when it came to giving birth. I distinctly remember asking for every drug they had and gave clear instructions that baby was to be wiped off before being handed to me. :rolleyes:

Don't worry though - we don't scare easily!

I don't think so Kate, he also seems absolutely fine now :confused:

I had pethadine with Jess but nothing at all with Ellie, she did only take an hour to deliver though :rotfl2:

Hi Lessa, good to see you, still working 2 jobs or has that finished now?

I got rid of the second job last Friday, I was working 60+ hours a week and just couldn't take it anymore. I did the math and I will be fine getting together my tuition money on time with just the one job, which was my only concern since I made the decision so late in the year so had little time to gather together the tuition.

Miz Diz - So glad you are bed bug free, I am paranoid about that as well. Now I feel itchy! :laughing:

Poor Baby !! How in the world ?? :hug:
I really don't know? I think you can only get it by touch so WTH has a 2 month old baby touched???

That sounds as though it's for the best, it couldn't have been good for you doing that many hours!

Anyone heard from Mo? Wasn't she going to change jobs yesterday???

I just wanted to stop in and say "hi" really quickly. :goodvibes
I only read back a page or two, so I'm sure I'm missing out on the fun, but I'll hopefully have more time to talk tomorrow. :thumbsup2

I apologise for my however slight transgression in the afore-mentioned posts.
But is was funny... and honestly it was something Mel said that turned my brain around. Lets rewind the tape a little....
"Roll that Beautiful Bean Footage"

~~~~~~~~
Well another miserable rainy day here, yes I live in England what do I expect! David has Wednesday mornings off so all I've done is cut his hair! I also have a really sore back for some reason :confused:
Jo, did you sleep odd? Maybe you need a massage? Where's David when you need him????
MEL:banana:
He's on the other sofa :rotfl2: No I think I pulled my shoulder somehow playing golf on Monday and as I have hayfever I've been sneezing so trying to protect my shoulder when I sneeze and I think I managed to pull my back IYKWIM :rotfl2:
Ladies and Gentlemen of the Jury... How can you look at these posts and not
see there might be an opportunity for a round of "funny"
Jo even used the YKWIM...
:lmao:
All you need to do is post a Warning for the faint of heart or those w/o children advisory..
those of us that have been there done that.. we are good !!
As for me Give me drugs and give me my baby !!
Seriously.. Sara was a 27 hour labor from water break to delivery and she was my second. They had to induce my labor as it never started on it's own 7 hours after the water broke.
They gave me the epidural... and evrey 4 hours or so after that I kept telling them to "Hit me again"
because that dose wore off.
That was a LOOOONG Day.
What happened to WDW Poly Princess? Wasn't she our founding member?
Crystal works at WDW now! I haven't spoken to her in a while but have hung out with her the last 2 trips! She still has a very slow on going TR.
And BTW I'm itchy too!! Eek.
Jim's response was I am going to have a hard time telling the doctor about something that sounds like a Harry POtter spell.
:lmao: :lmao:
Jo- Hope Ben is doing better!!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It's another mellow peaceful day, no KC. I love my alone days lately.

Just cleaning up some today so the weekend has less house work. Making Enchiladas for dinner (i'm excited about it) and catching up on my DIS threads.

How much time a day do you guys actually spend DIS-ing? I'm curious!?

Tomorrow is a mini DIS meet in NYC! So excited!

Happy Hump Day all! :lmao:

I almost always have it open in a window, whether I am actually on or not is another matter. I just like to wander into my room and hit refresh from time to time to see if anybody has posted. So my total hours in which I am logged in is frighteningly high but the amount of time I actually spend reading and posting is much lower.
