Ok, apparently I DON'T have to fly.

Gus just texted me that he's not close to home yet. :confused3 Technology! LOL

Angela: Think the Xmas stuff goes up Nov. 1st.

Mitch thankfully decided to stay home whilst the guys were there so I am at my sisters in the quiet and AC. :thumbsup2

Woohoo! Did she decide to move?

Anyone know when the Christmas decorations go up?

Nope. ;)

I managed to get BOTH boys out of bed and on the bus by 7 am.

Woohoo!

I I got there by 9:30 and did 30 mins on the elliptical. Yay me!

Good for you! :thumbsup2

CE: you'd look adorable with the cut. Your face isn't fat. :)

Thanks, I may still chicken out, but we'll see. :rotfl:

Sorry I haven't been around much. I was out of town this weekend for my SIL's baby shower. I can't wait to meet my new nephew! :lovestruc The shower was "meh" to quote Kat. The ladies were so darn annoying talking about every detail of their kids' babyhood. :sad2:

So, as if that comment didn't tip you off, I've been very bit-chy (take that sensors!) lately. I have been overwhelmed and tired since we moved, but I just blamed it on the stress. Now that school started and I'm still feeling "meh", I decided to go to the doctor. After doing a blood test, she discovered that my body isn't absorbing the hormone pills I've been taking for the last 6 months.

So, the good news, is that I'm not a going to be a exhausted, crabby biz-natch forever!!! :yay: :lmao: Sadly, I'm still waiting for this new cream (yuck) to kick in. And, for clarification since someone (Jen V?) was confused when I first starting using the cream, it goes on my arm. :rotfl2: I had switch int he spring b/c I hate to mess with it, but it was working, so I'm going back. Boohoo for the cream. Yeah for not hating everything in the world! :yay:

Thanks for letting me be a big dork about my sitch. :laughing:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
CE- We missed you! I like both 4 & 6 on the hairstyles. I checked out the tips on curly hair too. Thanks for sharing! :flower3:
Mel- So, how was the first day? popcorn::
Angela- Are you going to join us at Epcot on Friday? :upsidedow Maybe you and Mooch can come out after he's off work? It's Food & Wine, baybee!!!
Dawn, :hug: I'm glad you know what to do to get fixed!:goodvibes I'm planning on Epcot and hopefully Mitch will come too.
Oh my goodness! My house is in shambles!:eek: I had no idea this fix would be so invasive. We took everything out of my closet and under all the sinks to store in one bedroom. The cats and all there paraphernalia is in the other one. There are holes in several walls and pipe all over the floor. The water should be back on this afternoon but since the inspector has to come tomorrow, the drywall can't be fixed yet so nothing can be put away. :faint: Happy Thursday to me. At least I can get it all organized and then the cleaning lady can get what I missed.
Since I'm talking to myself, ;). We are ordering magazines for a school fundraiser and since I get many free thanks to the Freebie thread, any suggestions for a new good magazine? What about All You, Real Simple or Vegetarian Times? V, are you familiar with that one?
Glad they think it can be fixed. Feeling yuck all the time is no fun. :hug:
Sure! :goodvibes
Ugh, I'm sorry it's such a mess...
I love Real Simple - I've gotten it for years. Good recipes, good suggestions on stuff people actually use, organizational tips, and to me, it's just an attractive layout and so forth. ;)
I love Real Simple. Good recipes and all around house/cooking/decorating and fashion tips in one mag. Veg times is more for the "strict" veg or vegans. I had a subscription for 2 years and saved several recipes but found that I just didn't make enough of them to justify the sub.
I love Cooking Light. Is that an option?
MEL
Let me introduce myself... I'm CE! :rotfl:
Hi CE, I'm Jo from England I think you'll like us Fockers we're a friendly bunch ;):rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: Good to have you back :hug:
Anyone know when the Christmas decorations go up?
They start on about Nov 1st as Mel said but should be complete for the 1st MVMCP which is about the 10th!
So, the good news, is that I'm not a going to be a exhausted, crabby biz-natch forever!!! :yay: :lmao: Sadly, I'm still waiting for this new cream (yuck) to kick in. Hope it kicks in soon, like ummm within 2 weeks I don't want to meet a grumpy Dawn ;):rotfl2: J/K :hug:
Oh my goodness! My house is in shambles!:eek: I had no idea this fix would be so invasive.
Yikes hope they do it quick!!!!
It was hot hot hot here today and I played golf so it was really hot out there, the grass has all burnt up in the last few days :sad2: Anyway had the competition and I played fine a few crappy ones but lots of good ones, my partner however played rubbish the first half so I thought we had no chance of a prize. So they announce the winners and our names are read out for second place, we looked at each other and said WHAT :rotfl2: we couldn't believe we'd won a prize and it was a gift voucher too no silly bubble bath or fake flowers :rotfl2:
Oh I'm also very pleased with myself, it doesn't take much ;) as Jess ruined the zip on her school skirt, to make her skirt shorter she rolled it up but bent all the zip :headache: anyway I asked in the dry cleaners if they would fix it and as it's a concealed zip (you can only see the teeth of the zip) they said it would cost £17 :faint: the skirt only cost £20 that's about $15 :rotfl2: so I bought a zip for just over £2 and fixed it myself, it doesn't look fantastic but anyway :woohoo:
I was looking at Real Simple and it's a possibility. I used to get Cooking Light too, but I get Southern Living and after making so many of their recipes, who wants to cook light? :rolleyes1 Of course I know I should. ;)
So Rosie's Drama free days were over !!!
Oh well you are working half as much, which is still probably equal to a full 8 hour shift for the rest of us anyway.
:rolleyes: on the phone breakage.
We had a nice weekend, but I'm also kind of glad to feel that we might finally be getting back to a good routine (even though I am not loving the alarm clock...)
I'm going to share some wedding pictures - since D was in the wedding, I had the camera, and oddly, no one seems to have any pictures of me. (Gee, the SIL of the groom isn't that important? The photographers for the wedding were the "journalistic" rather than the "formal" style, and I kept catching them taking pictures of me, but I haven't seen those yet.
Keeping in mind the shape of my face, do we think I could pull this off? I have a haircut appointment tomorrow, and though the blow out at the wedding looked good, I am unhappy in general with the length of my hair right now. I could wait and grow it out some more, or do something like this...
The point of the article is having a haircut, then different things you can do with 2 minutes, 5 minutes, or 20 minutes, so you'd need to look at pages 2-6 to see the different stuff. I particularly like the 5 and 20 minute deals, which seem reasonable - IF it would really work. And I'm nervous that my face is too fat for it. But I think it's so cool!
Click here.
You all looked nice at the wedding.
Cute. I had my hair very short at one time. It is fine and straight. I had layers all over and just gelled it up and turned upside down to blow it out. It only took me about 5 minutes. I loved it.
If your hair will do the scrunchy/tousle look without too much work, I say go for it.
We are getting new plumbing pipes today and the guys just showed up. Of course we have been ready since 8 thinking they would be here earlier. Thank goodness M waited with me. Now they are saying we owe them 80% today when the guy that gave us the estimate said we could pay when they are finished in 3 days. Not that I don't want to pay,but apparently one didn't communicate to two! But I'll be here all day with no water so hopefully someone will be here with me...Oh my goodness! My house is in shambles!:eek: I had no idea this fix would be so invasive. We took everything out of my closet and under all the sinks to store in one bedroom. :hug:
I managed to get BOTH boys out of bed and on the bus by 7 am. No small feat, let me assure you. Poor Gus had a tummy ache and was in the potty till 6:58am!!!! Sheesh.
I went back to snuggle with Bob, and ended up falling asleep again. :sad: That's really bad because I wanted to be at the gym by 8. Oh well. I got there by 9:30 and did 30 mins on the elliptical. Yay me! Showered and now I'm sipping a Soy Sugar Free Hazelnut Latte. Yum. Gotta grab the kiddos in about 5 mins. They only had a 1/2 day today.
Mel:banana:
Were the boys excited to go back?
You are not a dork. I hope that this does work for you. (I hate baby showers and I have no excuse.)
Awesome on the 2nd place. Vouchers are gud!!!! Zippers are hard! I'm proud of you, Jo. If I had a voucher for a nice Brit store, I'd send it to you! :thumbsup2
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
I have to get ready for work! I think it will be a busy one. :upsidedow
7 more work days + tonight. No halves for me Rosie + some are OT days! :sad2: I am off the week before we leave though!:thumbsup2
I need the OT! My bill for the new rewards card came. :scared1: I'm not showing Doug even though some of the charges are his. The good news is I've just about reached the $25 reward that will be credited to the account. Spend a few hundred get 25 back. :sad2: I'm crazy! Dang Disney!
Gotta go. I will see you all tomorrow. Take care. :hug:
Congrats! :)
Good for you! I have asked my mum for a sewing machine for Christmas. I don't do much but hem, but my grandma's very old machine has really bitten the dust.
I was looking at Real Simple and it's a possibility. I used to get Cooking Light too, but I get Southern Living and after making so many of their recipes, who wants to cook light? :rolleyes1 Of course I know I should. ;)
I have had a true pixie, but it's been years. My hair is medium in texture, but there is a TON of it as far as it being thick and voluminous, if you will - which is why I feel like I have helmet head now. :rotfl:
My problem is that I don't KNOW if my hair will do it. I'm taking the pictures in and my hairdresser - who's done my hair for a long time - can advise me, really. She knows my hair AND she knows my limited hair skills. :lmao:
Gotta go. I will see you all tomorrow. Take care. :hug:
Have a good night!
Since I'm talking to myself, ;). We are ordering magazines for a school fundraiser and since I get many free thanks to the Freebie thread, any suggestions for a new good magazine? What about All You, Real Simple or Vegetarian Times? V, are you familiar with that one?[/Q=UOTE]
I love Veg Times (but I'm a vegetarian, so my vote may not count.) I, personally, have found dishes even omnivores are interested in (some of their 30 minutes or less dishes are great prepare+pop in oven ones).
CE. I'm mixed on the haircut. Over the past 10 years, I've had hair down the back, to buzzed, and back again, and I've found that medium length to be the worst.
Dawn-glad you got to the root of the problem.
:flower3::flower3: all. I invited the godmother to join me in Epcot one day, her mother (almost 103 years old!) is recovering from some dehydration issues, so she's a little unsure if she can make it.
Yeah... I feel like I'm "medium" now - not exactly short, but I've been much longer even in the last couple of years. I feel like it's going to take a long time to get back to a length I really like, so I'm feeling like cutting it shorter, if you KWIM. ;)
I hope her mom is OK. :hug:
Hello al! What a long carpy day.
First i got to work an hour earlier than I was supposed to! Luckily they let me clock in early. So I worked and was really tired and sore from sleeping on the not so comphy air mattress. It's better than the floor but still no picnic. I can't wait until Thurs when the bed comes! The bed bugs kit comes that day too so we can sleep on our new bed all clean!!!! I can't wait!
Instead of going home I decided to stay in the city. I went to Barnes and Nobles for a while to relax and chill out. I also went to Bryant Park for a while, a fav spot in the city. KC works till 10pm today so after 6 I came here (where I am now) and have been working on the finalization for my resume and watching silly you tube clips with him.
We are getting along famously, seriously well, but he maintains that he doesn't feel the same. I still think he needs to get past the resentment and then he will see me in a new light. I am working on myself, for me, but also for us. i really hope he will come around, i have to believe he will. Did I mention there's a lot of "trampolining" going on too? weird right? The whole thing is just not normal. We go to therapy tomorrow and I can't wait, i'm thinking every little bit helps.
Anyways. I am off to have some chips and hope we get out of here soon! Night all!
Kat Are you sneezing too???:rotfl2: Seriously it sounds good for you 2 !!!:thumbsup2
Well more work Drama ...... Had a consumer run away today and spent 2 hours convincing her to return, on a very busy and public part of town :scared1: But if I called 911 I would have to file sooooo many papers, it was just easier to keep talking and walking !! I am a pretty good talker :rotfl2:
Kyle says he is getting perfect attendance this year !! We tried telling him Disney would kinda prevent that but he still thinks he'll get it:scared1:
Well nothing else going on tonite yet!!:rotfl2:
