Dawn- What a bummer that you are having AC issues already. I hope you stayed cool through the night. :) & Mel's coming to see you! :cool1:

CE- Poland?!? What is there? I would love to see your DH's passport. :worship:

T- Nothing planned yesterday? Did you enjoy it? I bet it was great! :cool1:

Janet- I love how you found away to slip in some shopping. :woohoo:

Jo- Who are the Vicars?

-----------------------------------
Well if you saw my FB update last night, I finished New Moon, in less than a day. Okay... I feel totally and utterly... ADDICTED! I'm not sure how you all handled waiting for the next one. It's a shame she isn't writing more, and faster! I want to start the next one...but I am afraid. Seriously, I'm a totally dork. I am afraid of the end coming in 2 more books. :sad1:

DH just called and he finished his first ever Triathlon. It is really windy today, so the swim was brutal. :headache: I am just glad I don't need to use the life insurance. :worship:;)

:rotfl: I've done that, way too many times. So are they having a great sale? I need sunglasses and new trainers. (That's for you, Jo!)

I got new sneakers (avia's), a pair of shoes for work, new bathroom rugs, shower curtain, toothbrush holder, soap dispenser Just about $100 total!:thumbsup2

I wonder if I could pull that off....... :idea:

Sure you can;)

So, I had a busy day

You sure did!

What she said. :) It's the Saturday for sure. whatever time is fine with me as I will already be there. I told the troops already that they can come hang out for a bit then leave us to our Disney devices. I thought maybe lunch somewhere, or early dinner. I'm game for whatever, just excited about it. I am trying to Glendamax to come too, and maybe a couple of others. I have some decent coupons for the Tropicana is anyone needs.

Sounds good to me. I will email Mo!:thumbsup2

I would love to do the desert buffet, i would book it! At least its a place to sit down so you won't be on your feet somewhere waiting for it to start.

I think I'm going to skip it this year, only becasue the way we have MK days scheduled.

I need a new ticker! I've got a special visitor coming to see me in September!!! :banana:

It's there now... :woohoo:

:banana::banana::banana::banana:

Just spent a lovely afternoon at the vicars house for the annual bring & share patronal picnic, I sat with the rebels though who ended up throwing one of the men in the pool fully clothed :rotfl2:

:rotfl2:

Tell him congrats!:goodvibes

======================

Mom and dad got in about 7:30 last night. Came over here this morning and just left to go to my aunt's house. I will be seeing them lots this week, so I am using today to get may laundry and other stuff done that I won't get done while they are here.

We are going to throw burgers and dogs on the grill for dinner, so that will be nice and easy.

Tomorrow mom and I are hitting Atlantic City for the day. My dad will hang out at my aunt's. Jim and Jimmy are going to get some new fish for the tank. I have to work Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, so I am not sure what is planned for the rest of the week.

Hope everyone is having a lovely Sunday:hug:

Jen-It's not problems with the air, it's K replacing the units with new, more efficient ones. :thumbsup2

Okay... back to my book! :upsidedow

Jo- Who are the Vicars?

So where is everyone? Enjoying the beautiful weekend????

Hi Fockers!

Just skimmed the last page pr 2.

Jo doesn't know who Draco Malfoy is, :sad2:

Janet went to the store to pee and spent money, yeah that makes sense. Probably more if I read the entire original post.:)

Well I had an interesting night, 3:30 I woke up to some sort of alarm going off. As I walked out to the hallway it dawned on me it was the carbon monoxide detector (it never went off before). I called 911, grabbed the 3 dogs (I am babysitting Muph's pug this week) and got them to the yard, (never so happy to have a fenced in yard).
Threw all the doors opened. Changed into the clothes I had on yesterday.

The fire dept shows up (one of those SUV ones) as it turns out there was a quick power outage and that is what caused it to go off. I have an older detector, one of those plug in ones. He suggested I get a newer model so it doesn't happen again.

I felt so bad for dragging the guy out, but he insisted they rather come out for false alarms then the alternative.

Thank goodness, but I was still freaked out so slept on the couch with the slider open. Just in case.

Needless to say we are having a lazy day. Spent some time in the yard with the pugs as it is finally nice in the Northeast. If I get a chance I will post the pics.

Hope all is well with the Fockers. Going to attempt to update my trip report today as well.

CE- Poland?!? What is there? I would love to see your DH's passport. :worship:

::yes:: He gets to some cool places. There's just an office for his company there. ;)

That's great!

You, too! Hi to your parents from us.

So where is everyone? Enjoying the beautiful weekend????

:confused3 It's not beautiful here. But, I took a nap. :rotfl:

I called my friend and we've agreed that the tennis tourney in this cloudy blah weather (and not sure when people are playing - I called the club and heard there was the singles final at noon and the doubles at 4:00, but she'd heard from someone that our pro was playing at 2:00 :confused:) was not the best of ideas. She's also got to leave her girls at home tomorrow for our last singles class, so I have a call into my sitter to see if she can stay here with the kids instead, but she wasn't home when I called, so I have to wait for a return call.

So, we have no plans. The boys seem pretty content, though we've had too much TV today. But since it's not nice out, I'm not going to push it.

Win big! ;)

Okay... back to my book! :upsidedow

whatcha readin'?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
it's 3:30 and just now KC woke up. Yeesh. I have been up since 11. I woke up to dark stain on my tongue tho, which freaked me out. I think it was residue of the pepto chewable thing I took last night because my tummy was weird before bed. I dunno.
I'm not feeling so hot today, plan to spend the day on the couch with movies and KC and hopefully feel better by Tuesday so work is actually fun not me dying all day.
I am gonna go finish my book (real vampires don't diet by gerry bartlett) before movie mania begins.
Happy Sunday everyone!
:lmao:
So where is everyone? Enjoying the beautiful weekend????
I went to the grocery store...exciting, eh?:sad2:
Yep ::yes:::lmao:
I felt so bad for dragging the guy out, but he insisted they rather come out for false alarms then the alternative.
Absolutely!
Hope all is well with the Fockers. Going to attempt to update my trip report today as well.
Yay:yay:
I'm emailing you with AC details in a bit!
You, too! Hi to your parents from us.
Will do:goodvibes
============================
Back from the grocery store and am on my third load of laundry. Exciting day isn't it:sad2:
They're going to an Indian and I hate that anyway but it's the principal!!!
So sorry Jo :hug: Could you get a sitter for the one night :confused:
Farrah Fawcett died yesterday morning. When she arrived in Heaven, as her reward for living a good life, God granted her one wish...anything she wanted.
"I want all the children of the world to live in safety, Lord"
Michael Jackson died later that day. :rotfl2:
that is awful yet so funny :rotfl:
It's a stall with lots of food items on such as tinned/canned food, chocolates, cookies etc each one has a number on and you pick so many tickets out of a box. If you pick the winning ticket you win, what do you call it?
I wound up going to Kohl's so I could use their bathroom. While I was there I just had to look around. I got a new pair of shoes for work, a new pair of sneakers, a new handbag, and then I decided it was a good time to redecorate the bathroom. So, I got new shower curtain, etc for the bathroom. I think it was the most expensive bathroom run in history:lmao:
:rotfl:
I'm looking for a sweaty smiley... It's 86 in here. K says we won't have air until tomorrow. I'm thinking of sleeping sitting up in a cold bath. :idea:
Yikkes! Having just fixed our AC i can totally feel your pain. :hug:
Well I had an interesting night, 3:30 I woke up to some sort of alarm going off.
Glad it was just a false alarm.
I'm not feeling so hot today,[/COLOR]
:hug:
Dawn - love the ticker :thumbsup2 That sounds like an awesome visit.
We had a wonderful time in Atlanta. We stayed at the Hyatt and ate and drank for about 24 hours. The Dane Cook concert was hysterical!!
We are grilling tonight with my brother and his family - that is if it stops raining.
We've been with only one child for a week now and our house is still a disaster. I really thought that I would be able to clean it and keep it clean with everyone gone but we really haven't been here that much.
I need some Focker advice. I am thinking of changing my hours and want to know what you all think. Right now I work 8 hours a day, 4 days a week for 32 hours. This gives me one day off a week for whatever (dentist, doctor appt, visiting the school, etc) but, for the days I work, we have to have someone get the kids off the bus and stay with the kids for about 1.5 hours until i get home. My off day is somewhat flexible in that I can change it to a Monday or Friday to have a 3 day weekend. But they discourage me changing it frequently.
I am thinking of changing my hours to 7:30-2:30, 5 days a week for a total of 35 hours. Obviously I would bring home more since I am working 3 more hours a week. Also we wouldn't need someone to get them off the bus since I will be home by that time every day. But I would lose my off day.
What would you do? My main reason for wanting to change is because when I get home (usually at 4:45) I have to immediately get the kids loaded up for something (karate, cheer, ball practice, scouts). Then we get home at 7 and I haven't even started dinner. Being home by 3 would give me more time every day do start dinner, homework, and everything else before we head out to practice but I am not sure what I will do when the kids are sick or have dental appts and I have to take off. Just looking for some opinions to help me think it out before I make a decision.
TIA
Hey Debra - I saw your facebook status last night, what time did he finaly get on stage?
I would love those hours. Still home in time to get Jimmy off the bus and still early enough to do errands or anything else that need to be done.
-------------------
Just talked to my cousin. She, my mom and I are hitting the casino (Harrah's in Chester) tomorrow. We are going to leave about 10am and who knows what time we will get home. Can't wait. I haven't been to a casino in a while so it should be lots of fun. Mu cousin goes alot:rolleyes: and has all kinds of comps so we will get eat for free. Told Jim and Jimmy they areon their own tomorrow...yea, they were diappointed:laughing:
Debra - when you went to Universal did you fly? Any idea how long it will take to get to the airport from there? I'm trying to plan our last day...our flight leaves at 4:20pm, which means we should get there for about 2:30.
Happy Sunday everyone!
You, too! Hope you feel better. :hug:
Back from the grocery store and am on my third load of laundry. Exciting day isn't it:sad2:
I went to the grocery store, too, but haven't done any laundry, so your day is better than mine. ;)
Just looking for some opinions to help me think it out before I make a decision.
Well, I don't work, obviously. But I like the looks of those hours. I think you'd be about the same as I am about appointments and stuff - we try our best for after school because I hate pulling them. We've decided that sometimes we have to skip practices, etc. to get to the doctor/dentist. Just FWIW, I think it seems like a good idea.
Told Jim and Jimmy they areon their own tomorrow...yea, they were diappointed:laughing:
Have a wonderful time!
So now Billy Mays has died, too. Strange. Not that he was on the level of Farah or Michael Jackson, but... D & I happened to catch his new show on Discovery the other night - I think we were both working on new computer stuff and just left it on in the background. It was fairly entertaining.
We are watching the Steve Martin Pink Panther, and it just started pouring rain again. I will send the kids to bed right after the movie. :)
Evening! :wave: Just popping in quick while my podcasts finish loading.
We had a really lovely weekend. :goodvibes Leo wound up enjoying the local HSM show very much on Fri. and was in a great mood when I picked him up. Saturday, we loafed around some, then went to see Night at the Museum 2 with Gramma; all parties gave it double thumbs- up! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2 Today, we spent lots of time in the pool, where Leo got brave and swam his little heart out in the deep end, even attempting a dive in!
Now he's gone. :sad1: Off to his dad's for two weeks - ugh. I'll be spending my free time working out and eating right so as to get in great shape for WDW! :cheer2:
Gotta run - :grouphug: to everyone. See you tomorrow.
8:45 for an 8:00 show. It was worth the wait though. ;)
I think that is the popular opinion :)
We did fly one year but I think we went to the room first that was near US and it took around 25 minutes. We rented a car from the airport and drove.
I think I want to try the new hours when school starts back. I think that it will be easy for me to change my schedule while we are in transition looking for a new manager. I'm just worried that when they find a new manager that it might be hard to change back if I need to.
My brother and SIL walked over and ate dinner with us. We grilled. Uploading pics to FB before heading to bed. Hope everyone had a great weekend. Nighty Night y'all!
whatcha readin'?
Finger Lickin' Fifteen... Janet Evanovich's 15th book in the Stephanie Plum series. In fact, I'm about to finish it.
To me, it sound like switching would be a better choice for day to day. I mean, you don't have appts aften enough to need to have that day set aside, do you? You could also get the 4pm appt if you do have to go somewhere.
I used to love the series, but haven't read 14 or 15. Worth it, or same ole, same ole?
