HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JANET!!!!!!

***********************************
Not much going on here today - the rain rain rain keeps falling down. ;) Everything we can think of to do is outside, we've seen all the kid movies that we are interested in... We've got nothing. :rotfl:

D & I slept in - the kids got up and played Wii nicely, so they didn't wake us up. He enjoyed his gift card, and the kids had made stuff at school for him, too (one benefit of still being in school this late, I guess... :rotfl2:)

Mo - so sorry about all the issues. We've missed you!

Hope you're all having a nice day. :)

Good Morning Everyone! :goodvibes

It's been a crazy June and finally things are slowing down.... just in time for our trip.

I've been busy getting bids on our kitchen and it seems we're in a bit over our heads. Who knew kitchen remods were soooo expensive. Our first bid came in well over what I expected. I've got 2 more contractors coming next week, but at least now I have a ballpark of what I'm in for.

Brownies ended (wait for the vent) as did school for both the kids. :woohoo:

We had our final badge ceremony and afterwards I had a parent complain why her daughter didn't get as many badges as my daughter. Well... let's see... because your daughter didn't come to half the meetings??? :headache: Then she questioned on why she had to pay dues if her daughter didn't get badges. I had to explain to her that I have to buy enough material for 11 girls whether or not 11 girls show up and that Brownies is not about "buying" your patches... it's about "earning" your patches and being a participant. I was so pissed off at this lady. She had some balls, let me tell you. She actually tried to tell me it was my responsibility to make sure her daughter completed all the badge requirements. Ummm... no - that's her responsibility. I am responsible for her daughter once a week for an hour. Period. I told her if she's so unhappy, she should find another troop that would fit her needs. Yeah, she signed up with my troop again. Oh joy. And my vent is over. :teeth:

I really need to give my PTR CPR or something... I think it died... :confused3 Andy's on vacation for the next week, so we'll probably be doing alot of DLR, they have a new Summer Fantastic theme with new fireworks (Dumbo and Tink fly around the castle!), revamped Electrical parade and revamped Fantasmic! I'm excited.

I tried to catch up.... let's see... I remember something about nipple rings and birthday celebrations (not at the same time ;)).... myspace being used as a divorce weapon....wedding reception issues...golf games lost....long lost Fockers checking.... mom's to teens .... groupies.....cute kiddo pictures..... lack of camping ressies....what else did I miss??? I also remember Doug was going in for a procedure? Anyone hear from Kristel on how it went? CE how's your Pops doing? Rosie, how's Judy feeling these days? Sending  to you all!

Hope everyone has a great Father's Day! :flower3:

Yeah, she signed up with my troop again. Oh joy. And my vent is over. :teeth:

Ugh - what a $*#*@.

Oooh, fun!

CE how's your Pops doing?

Thanks for thinking of him. He's doing pretty well. He does get tired easily, but he's not been sick or anything, and so far still has his hair, too. ;)

Luckily, the farm stuff is going OK - it's rained a lot, but he's not been hard up as far as not getting his work done. That's a load off his mind, too.

This is his last "week off" before his next treatment, which is a week from tomorrow.

Well, it's official. I have a teenager. My baby turned 13 last night.

 for you and Happy Birthday to her!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JANET!!!!!!

Hi Girls! Nice to see so many checking in on this fine Father's Day.

We are celebrating my "brothers" b-day, and father's day for 3. Needless to say, I am cinderella today and have been up since the crack of dawn baking and preparing. Ham is in the oven, blueberry scones are made, banana cream pie completed, German Chocolate Cake cooled, frosted and ready, and last but not least the Fruit Salad is chilling. :faint:

Thanks CE!:goodvibes

Hope it's good, even if you don't have anything too exciting planned.

Weekend Update:

ROSIE had something show up at the OB/GYN. More tests to follow. I hope it is nothing major!!!

SHARKY says she’s a loser on FB. You’re A-OK here!

MEL’s cure for the sickies was B-O-B. She had a condo mafia that made her wedding celebration miserable. Glad you are feeling better. I’m sorry about the reception.

DEB had an encouter with a nipple ring that she won’t soon forget.:lmao: Their house finally has some A/C. She likes FB. But likes us better. You gotta watch what you say everywhere. FB is evil. ;)

Kat had a great night at the French place.:cutie:

JO says blinkin foxes make rabbits thump.:rotfl2:

JV’s been doin’ wine and friends and wine. :hippie:

V is working out, pooling, and beaching. Not be-otching, Beaching as in sun and sand.

JANET has pictures of Jimmy, pg 89, #1331. She is doing the 50 day dance. They had a good FD/BD dinner. It’s her birthday !!!

Have you been over to Enchanted? :rolleyes1

Z doesn’t know what to do with the Disney PIN she just got. It's nice to have those kinds of decisions.

CE watched some Star Wars and went to a graduation.

MO has been crazy busy. She made her ADRs for Sept. Some of them on-line. She’s looking at Italy for next year.:woohoo:

HI DREAMN!

PAMOM has a teenager!:scared1:

T found out the kitchen re-do is expensive. She had an unhappy Brownie mom. Some people just want you to do it all and never get involved like they should. Doug is fine. It was just his 2 month check up. He will keep taking the chemo until next March.

**************************************************************************************
I sent Doug an e-card from the dogs for Father's day. I usually bake him a cake. I kinda forgot. oops

Did I tell you guys we are minus one clunker in the pole barn? Doug's nephew is refusing to take money for the patio work. So I guess he saw the Trans Am in the barn and asked about it. Now it's his. :woohoo::woohoo: I have somewhere to park my lawn mowers with out climbing over them. :cool1:
Of course that car doesn't run. It's probably not worth $500. I plan on giving him a gift card for groceries too.
I hope Doug checked the car stray coons and cats??!!!
:scared1:

So how is everyone, miss you all so much. Life just got super crazy.

:wave2: Hi Mo! Glad to see you around. Italy sounds like it will be amazing! Sorry about the foot problems and everything else.

Good morning ladies

Hi Margie! :wave2:

Hope you feel better today

I do. :goodvibes

You play golf?!?! Sorry about the loss.

Well, it's official. I have a teenager. My baby turned 13 last night.

Happy Birthday!

Hope you're all having a nice day. :)

Hi T! :wave2: Sorry about the Brownies mom...what a pain. And I completely understand ya on the whole kitchen thing. I've undergone 2 of them and they are not fun! One when I was in high school...we went on a 2 week vacation. LOL The other was recently and we all hated it! You can only order out so much before you get sick of it and you want your kitchen back.

Thanks for thinking of him. He's doing pretty well. He does get tired easily, but he's not been sick or anything, and so far still has his hair, too. ;)

Glad he's doing really well. Still thinking positive thoughts for him.

:yay: to the missing car.

*********************************************************

Not much going on here with me today. I have yet to call my dad for Father's Day. They were supposed to leave CA today to start driving back to OH. So, I'm just waiting until evening to call and I know they'll be stopped for the night. My uncle was in an accident a few years ago and has a bad back and can only take so much driving in the car so the max amount of driving they can do per day is about 10 hours. This will be a looooonnnnggggg drive for them all. :rotfl:

That's about it for me. Hope everyone is enjoying their day!

Good :rotfl2: And wow Jen you need to slow down

Yay is that a car????

Phew just finished recording the Disney Brit podcast, I rambled on a load of old rubbish, the others were great so hopefully I'm just being hard on myself and I was really OK. Oh one of the questions was what was your favourite attraction, bet you all can't guess what I said :rolleyes1:rotfl2: I'll link you when it's on itunes!

:scared:

I'm thinking of tying her to her bed and putting duct tape on her mouth. Her favorite answer to any question is: I don't know......:headache:

I get that answer from the 5 year old...soyou are telling me it doesn't get better:sad2:

That's about it for me. Hope everyone is enjoying their day!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JANET!!!

My dates are the 9th to the 16th (16th-18th at Universal). NOt that I'm enabling or anything:rolleyes1

Excellent, if I do manage to go in August it would be the 14th-16th. I'll let you know. :goodvibes

Hi CE! Love the Star Wars movies. I agree the original 3 were better than the new ones. I do like Ep 2 though, plus Hayden Christansen (Anakin) is kinda hot. :lovestruc

Hi Z! Hope you get several more uses of your AP!

Me too! But I'm blocked out for the summer.

Just watched Forrest Gump. Forgot what a great movie that is. Makes me cry every single dang time though! Oh and Lt. Dan! Yummy. :::I think Dawn got sick of me drooling over him in Mission Space too..... :

I love that movie. :thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2
Gary Sinise is great in Mission Space, he's good looking in an older guy way I guess, he's just too short. But I do love him as an actor. Started to watch CSI: NY because of him, but it was too depressing, nothing beats the original. IMO

Hi Lori!!!

What really makes me sad is this will be my last trip until next Sept so I won't be renewing my AP like I normally do this time of year.(expires 9/26)

But the reason I'm not renewing is I am going to Italy in the spring. Just waiting for the Adventures by Disney 2010 schedule to be released in August so I can make my reservation!!!!!!

Mo, so sorry it's been pouring problems, but Yay on the Ressies they all sound great. BTW I became a puffy goodness convert back in March. OMG! Soooo gooood.

And :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo: On and ABD Disney trip. I ordered the DVD and I just want to do them all, wish the prices included air fare though.

Well, it's official. I have a teenager. My baby turned 13 last night.

Happy Birthday to your DD! And some :hug:for you.

Z doesn’t know what to do with the Disney PIN she just got. It's nice to have those kinds of decisions.

It is, but at the same time it isn't because if it were up to me I'd do them all, but I start thinking responsibly and sometimes don't end up doing any. Plus my mom isn't the biggest Disney fan so Disney is almost like a curse word in my house, especially when it comes out of my mouth. Sure she understands the magic, but she doesn't see the need of me visiting it so many times a year. :sad1: So when I do go, there's always a fight before and after the trips, mostly because of money and the majority of the time I don't spend that much since I have the AP and me just budgeting myself on food and hotel. But we'll see.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Well I hope everyone's had a good Father's day. I called my dad a little while ago and we had a nice talk. :goodvibes We took our mom out to eat even though she's a pissy mood with me, but whatever.

Other than that, just having a relaxing day. It's super hot and I wish I had a pool in my backyard right now.

I'm a little depressed because I got audited by the IRS from my 2006 taxes that this fraudulent tax guy did. I know the guy's fraudulent because a lot of people from work went to him, plus my brother and they all got audited. I was hoping my taxes weren't done wrong, but apparently they were. Our accountant friend helped my brother find out that the tax guy was stealing money from people's returns and claiming more deductions and pocketing them and giving the people back less than what was claimed on the forms. So now I know I'm gonna owe, I just don't know how much yet. :guilty:

TTFN!!

Happy birthday, Janet!!! :wizard:

Thanks Dawn:goodvibes

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JANET!!!

Thanks Z:goodvibes

See, now I hate the orignal one but love NY and Miami!

===================================

Had cheesesteaks for dinner and am still doing :laundy:. GOt the bathroom done. Jim is walking the dog and then the boys are going to sing happy birthday to me:goodvibes.

Not much else going on. Just trying to get the house in shape. My parents come next weekend and I have to work next Saturday (6am -2pm :faint:) which is going to screw up my whole Sat.

Trying to get as much done as I can today so that I can do touch ups during the week.

I'm thinking of tying her to her bed and putting duct tape on her mouth. Her favorite answer to any question is: I don't know......:headache:
At least she says the whole thing. My boys say, "IDK." :headache: Freakin' internet!

My eldest turns 13 next month, she is also nearly as tall as me :faint:
Ok, you too. My son is 6 foot 3 inches tall. I have to make him SIT so I can yell at him. :rotfl:

Hi Z. Sorry about the taxes! That stinks!
I didn't watch any of the CSI's but yep....Love Gary Sinise! (Oh, and yeah he's short but I could overlook that one flaw...) ;)

Janet: Now I want Cheese steaks. Yummy. Hope you've had a good day. I know housework isn't really "birthday-ish" but I hope you made the best of it.

************************
Happy Father's Day to all the TFW Daddies. Oh, and as someone else said on FB, for the Mom's who are doing the Dad Job. (very smart, I think it was Carrie!)
Had a wonderful day here. We had breakfast at the family resturaunt and then took Bob to the nursery to get some garden things (his request) we finished up with a trip to the hardware store then home for the phone call to his dad.
The boys all headed out and did their gardening. The kids took a bike ride and I copied out some recipes from some magazines that were due back at the library.
We made a roast chicken, homemade mashed taters, gravy, rolls and butternut squash. We had strawberry shortcake for dessert with fresh berries! Yum!
Now we're all too stuffed to move. I have FINALLY got the kitchen back together and all the laundry done! Whew!
I skipped the race because it was a road course race and they bore me. :confused3

Oh, and for Deb:
No, NotBob and Bob are the same man. My husband. Whose name is NOT Bob. OK? LOL :rotfl2:

MEL:banana:

Hi, all!

We ended up at the club after D's stepsister and brother called (at the same time - I took BIL's call on the cell and then we traded...:lmao:) which took a while. SIL likes to talk.

Got a few more things qualified for wedding logistics, though, so that's good.

Anyway, we went to the club, and were surprised that they weren't that busy and they did have tennis court time, so we played tennis and then swam. We had decided to just eat in the restaurant there, but it would have been good to know that they aren't open on Sundays. We are nearly always there after tennis (or, in the winter, yoga) which was later in the week, so I had no idea!

We ended up at the Mexican place up the road, which was QUITE yummy, but we got home a little later than we meant to (it's still a school night, after all :headache:) and still had to call my dad and D's stepdad. But, they are in bed now.

D has a horrible cold, but I think he had a good enough day, with sleeping in, me making real breakfast, going to "play" and then eating out. :thumbsup2

*********************************************************
I read through, but won't remember everything. There were a few things I wanted to comment on, though:

Janet, sounds like an OK day - glad you got cheese steaks. :)

Z, so sorry about the tax guy, honey. Hope it turns out OK. I agree that the original CSI is best. ;)

Jo, can't wait to hear the podcast! :goodvibes

Lori, hope your family men drive safely. That IS going to be a long drive. ;)

Kristel, glad you lost the dead car. :)

Mel, that sounds like a nice day, too. :thumbsup2
