We got back from Mr & Mrs T about 9:30 or so. I hope we didn't wear out our welcome. We had a really good time. I think we are related because there was lots of food!
We are leaving in the morning to go to Wilderness. Chat with all you later.

I'm so glad you had fun, and have fun on your trip!

Lets just say saturday night, when i was completely sober mind you, i hit my head really really hard on the top edge of my car and i have a giant(!) bump on my forehead.

Oh, no! :lmao:

I've just taken the girls to Guide camp, it should have only taken 40 minutes but took 1.5 hours thanks to the infamous road the M25! I left here at just after 8am and got home at 11am! Luckily though the rain stopped just as we arrived so the delay was probably good. They're literally in a big field but I'm sure they'll have tons of fun!

I now have till 10pm on my own, David then has the next 6 days off and hopefully the rain will stay away so we can play golf tomorrow and then go to the European Open on Thursday :thumbsup2

I'm sorry the drive took so long, but have a great time! Where is the European Open this year?

*****************************************************
Good morning.

I am tired. But, I think we are having tennis drills this morning (I'm waiting on an e-mail, because we thought only a few people could come, then it sounded like more, then... I don't know where we ended up!)

And I guess I'm taking my computer in sometime today. :headache: I figure it doesn't hurt to ask if they can loan or rent one to me for the repair time. D thinks I should just ask for a replacement, if they do that half the time, anyway. ;) It literally took me over an hour to back everything up, but I got it done - I had 1400 pictures to move. :scared1: I wound up just backing up my iTunes purchased stuff to DVD's, as moving it to the hard drive was going to take hours.

Ah, well.

D says he needs to work today, but hasn't decided if he'll stay home, go to Panera or something (he doesn't concentrate at home, even when the kids are away) or go into the office. He does have a "leave in the morning, back in the evening" trip tomorrow.

We're doing the boys' tennis lesson tonight, since their weeknight baseball game this week is tomorrow.

And, that's about all I've got. If I find out that we don't have tennis, I'll probably be back, as I won't head for Best Buy until later. But, if we do, I need to leave in 45 minutes, so we'll see.

I'll be spotty this week, but I'll try to check in as much as I can!

:grouphug:

Good Morning All !!Well it's back to work this a.m !!I ave afeeling it will b a LOOOOONGday I have sooooo much tocatch up on!!! I will try to update y TR tonite ! Ofcourse the scissors is hard toTop !!!

All done painting for the night. I have cracked open a Natural Light or two....:rolleyes1

Ahhh, that explains the Spanish;)

Their kids are really great. dd4 was shy at first, but was soon comfortable enough to yell at their ds6.:rotfl2: and immediately after yelling at him, invited him to do a puppet show with her. :rotfl2: My ds said they got along really well and he had fun playing with their ds. Their dd12 is great with kids and I am a little partial to their dd9 because she told me that she is sneaky and I totally think my dd is going to be just like her at that age - plus she is the chef in the family.

And no - we did not swim in the pool. :rotfl:

We are leaving in the morning to go to Wilderness. Chat with all you later.

Glad you had fun and that the kids got along so well:thumbsup2 Have fun at Wilderness:confused3

so i had a line grooved into my head! :headache:

Ouch:headache:

When are they coming? For how long? Are you working?

June 27th through July 7th. We get July 3rd off for the holiday (since it is on a Saturday) and I took 2 other days off while they are here:thumbsup2

Hi V. Welcome back! Hope the after vacation blues aren't too bad.
====================================================

Back at work, but since it is only a 3 day work week it shouldn't be too bad. We are taking Jimmy to his first Phillies game Friday, so I took the day off:rolleyes1

Have agreat day/week everyone!

Morning Fockers!

I know there's not much to catch up on but will have to do it quickly. I have been feeling crappy all week with a head cold but now I'm feeling crappy all over and think I'm now getting what the kids had.

Dawn - Good Luck with the house! Update when you can.

V & Rosie - Welcome back!

Jo - Hope the rain stays away for the girls and enjoy your time 'off'

That's all I remember.

Not much planned for us today. It rained over night and looks like rain for the rest of the day so the kids will have to be playing inside and driving me nuts. My dad's birthday is Friday so maybe the kids and I will go out and see what we can find for a birthday preseant.

Hope y'all have a good day! :cutie:

:yay::yay::yay:Today's the big day!!! :yay::yay::yay:

Been thinking of you! Hope it's going well!

**************************************************
Well, that was a heck of a morning.

I played tennis, and that was fine.

A little back story - we live in the town pretty much exactly between two of the biggest towns in NH, so there's a mall in both, and they're about equidistant from my house. So, when I went to Best Buy on Friday, I went south, because I also wanted to hit Trader Joe's, and it's only south.

Today, after tennis, it's a straight shot to go to the north mall, instead, and it doesn't matter, so I went there.

Dropped off my computer, the guy agreed it needs help, and was glad I'd backed it up, etc. I said, "Oh, the guy in the other store said it might take two weeks, right?"

He said, "Two to four."

:scared1:

So, I said, "Well, do you have any kind of loaner or rental program? My husband travles, this is our main computer, blahbity blah..."

He explained that they don't, exactly, but having turned in my computer, for repair, I can buy an "open box" one, and can return it when mine is ready with no penalties, fees, etc. and he would set me up with a computer salesman.

OK.

They have NO returned laptops.

Huh.

So, I thought about it for a bit whilst wandering the mall, then thought, "Hmm," and went back to ask if I could check the other Best Buy, or if the program was only good there.

Nope, I was fine to hit up any Best Buy, so long as I had my repair order sheet.

So, I drove all the way the OTHER way from home, and checked in there. First, they sent me to the Geek Squad desk there, yep, that would be fine, let's get a salesman to see what we have.

Then, the salesman had no clue, so he's asking another salesman. They think they only have an $1100 one. Which, I guess, since I was getting all the money back, I might have taken, but I really don't need much if I'm bring it back after a few weeks. :confused3 Luckily, they came up with a smaller one for $287. I'm on it now!

Anyway, it's fine for me whilst mine is gone, and frankly, we are considering keeping it for D for a new one (it's the physical size of his, but much bigger memory, hard drive, etc., etc. and for $287...)

But, I'm torn, because it's got all this crap free software, I want it set up the way I like it, but don't want to mess too much if we're taking it back in 2 weeks. I am sure they wipe it and all that, but it's so weird to think about customizing it the way I want, then returning it.

So, I'm messing around, and can't believe it's nearly 2:00!

For that price I'd keep it, but that's just me! What brand is it?

It's an Acer. I honestly didn't look at a thing except the price, but it's set up pretty well. (I researched and was picky about my own, but...) I know nothing about the reliability, etc. :confused3

We'll see - D really does need a new computer, and this is certainly priced right!

I'm back from our camping trip. Going back go page 22 to catch up LOL!

Hope everyone is doing well. Missed you all!

I'm sorry the drive took so long, but have a great time! Where is the European Open this year?
It's at the London Club again this year, it's only about 15 minutes away (well on a normal day it'll probably take about an hour to get there on Thursday) so great for us, next year it's offto Turnberry though!!!

I had 1400 pictures to move. :scared1:
Good job it didn't crash and take them with it!

That sounds a bargain, hope you can get it set up as you like!

I have an Acer and other than the hard drive problem which can happen to any PC it's been fine!

I'm back from our camping trip. Going back go page 22 to catch up LOL!
Welcome back Deb (Can I call you Deb as I'm lazy :rotfl2:)

Well the house has been tidied, hoovered and dusted the ironing is all done, the girls beds have been washed and remade and I've done 2 loads of washing/laundry. I've also answered some questions and taken a parcel next door. I'm now bored :rotfl2: Whilst I was doing the girls beds though I found Ellie's teddy, she always sleeps with this bear and forgot to take her to camp  She is nice and clean though as I took the opportunity to put her through the wash :rotfl2:

Hey remember me? :goodvibes

I have been in a funk, trying to work out some things so I have been reading along but not posting. I can never stay away too long tho!

it was a loooong weekend. we had a few friends over Saturday night and only 2 of the 5 we invited showed up. We played cards and hung around. So the next night 2 of the no shows showed up! So we drove around a bit, went shopping. Then the 3rd no show came by (Pants) and he stayed overnight with us. Monday morning we went to Fort Hamilton Military Base. We checked out the museum and walked around some. It was a beautiful day. We took lots of pics (I posted them on FB already) and had some diner lunch. Pants left and KC & I went food shopping, then took a nap.

He's back to work today and I am straightening up the house we neglected for 3 days. Tomorrow I am going to get a haircut and go into the city so KC & I can use my free movie passes for Star trek tomorrow night.

So the heck is everyone else?!

Hi kids!

I guess some of you forgot that I was gone all weekend for by b-day trip. Sorry no updates since I don't own a laptop and I wouldn't have had time anyway. We didn't roll back into town until 5:30PM yesterday and I was mega-pooped. We had a dramatic start but ended up having loads of fun. I'll post some pics later. I'm doing a TR on Enchanted. Don't want to spoil it.

I started on laundry and still need to put away 1 load. I had to wash all the dog's stuff 'cause they always stink when they get back from my MIL's. Her pug is a stinky bugger too. I think it's because they are outside a lot. Plus not 15 minutes after we got in the door, Rockie texts that her oldest can't find her camera. I swear that girl would lose her head if it wasn't attached. I found it under the back seat of my car.

Then I see blood on my vinyl floor in the kitchen. It's obviously from one of the dog's feet. Max ripped off a toenail some how. JOY! Let's just say it was an early night for me. No DIS.

Today I started my TR on Enchanted, worked on the laundry, finished unpacking toiletries, ate some eggs then all HE-- breaks loose in the back yard.

One of the neighbors stupid cats decided it was a good idea to stash a kitten under the only part of the deck that is in the back yard - inside my fence. The dogs found her and the kitten. She got out. I'm sorry to say the kitten survived about 10 minutes. Her poor little back was snapped. I am so tired of the way my neighbors treat their animals. They just let them run and don't take care of them, IYKWIM. I know I live in the country and people do things different out here, but dang I hate to see that stuff.

It's been looking like rain and it's 100 degrees here - OK more like 90 but very hot in the sun when it pokes through. So I decided to get the mowing done. While I'm mowing I see another kitten in my flower bed by the back fence behind my house. I go to grab the little varmint and he scurries into my dryer vent. One of the flaps is missing. He just squeezed in. I went in the house and turned on the dryer. Sure enough it got a little warm for his taste. I nabbed him and took him to our open shed in hopes that momma will find him. I am not adopting another one and if I take it to the neighbor she will say it is not hers.:sad2:

I need another vacation.

Hugs to all that need them.
Congrats to Dawn on the house. I hope things will get back to normal now.
Glad your back Deb. Please show us some pics of your trip.
Looks like Tig and Miz Diz's families had some fun.

I'll get back into the updates starting tomorrow.

Have a good night.

Hi Jo, Of course you can call me Deb. Isn't it amazing how little time it takes to clean when the house is empty!

Dawn, it looks like your house sold and you are closing on your new one?

Couldn't find a Kristel update. Is she ok?

Hi CE, CelBel, janet, Lori, V, Rosie, Mis Diz

Has anyone heard from Kat? Didn't see anything from her?

Last week was a very rainy, busy week. We had a tball game, a tball practice, cheernastics, 3 award ceremonies, 2 karate classes, Cubscout graduation, and a field trip. Just a typical week in our house.

The field trip was for Chi's class and I went with her. We went to an amusement park in Tennessee and after 3 spinning rides right in a row I started feeling  So I ate a funnel cake with ice cream, strawberries, whipped cream, and powdered sugar. Then I felt   the whole way home!

Our week was so busy I had no time to start packing for our camping trip. I went grocery shopping late thursday night after all the kids were in bed and started packing mom's RV on friday night but didn't finish until Saturday morning ( we were suppose to leave friday night). THe RV resort was really nice. They had a water slide into the lake and a water trampoline, a swimming pool, a playground, and an outside movie theatre. Of course it rained most of the time so we didn't get to see the movie. The RV leaked. We forgot to get propane gas so we had no hot water. But we still had a great time.

Before we left I sat all the kids down and went over some ground rules. I told them this was a test run and that if I didn't have fun we wouldn't use the RV never, ever, again. The kids were suspiciously well behaved.

DH didn't want to go but even he enjoyed himself. He even started asking questions about Ft. Wilderness...

So I checked out some prices and it is not that bad. For a week, all 7 of us for fall break, using a AAA discount on a premium campsite, 7 day passes, on regular dining plan it is $3500. Compare that to 2 rooms at a mod resort with free dining for us will cost $4428. That even compensates for the difference in gas for driving the big rig. However, it would need some work before we drive that far. But it is still fun to think about.

Tonight we have Delta's Kindergarten graduation. Tomorrow is church. Thursday is last day of school!! Thursday and Friday tball practice. Saturday two tball games and our end of year party. Plus my nieces high school graduation is sometime this week.

Have a great week everyone. Looks like this week is going to be just as busy so I am not sure if I will be able to come back as frequently as I have been.

Hi Peeps.

Just poppin' in to say "Hey!". I'm freakin' exhausted. Back's shot, but vicodin helps. Had a busy day.... dropped everyone off at school, headed to the Girls Scout shop, then to the gym (trying to work my back a bit), picked up Evan from school, registered him for Kinder, made lunch, picked up Mads from school and then headed to the grocery. I'm spent. :faint:

We have Brownie's tonight and then it's back to the grind tomorrow. :teeth:

Hope everyone had an enjoyable weekend.

CE - keep the 'puter. ;)

Dawn - Hope everything goes smoothly!

Kristel - Aww.. poor kitty! IKWYM - we get a lot of feral cats/kittens around here, it drives me mad because I have no choice but to catch them and send them to the pound. :guilty:

Hi to everyone else I missed! :flower3:

It's at the London Club again this year, it's only about 15 minutes away (well on a normal day it'll probably take about an hour to get there on Thursday) so great for us, next year it's offto Turnberry though!!!

Cool!

Good job it didn't crash and take them with it!

I know. I move pictures over to the external hard drive as I get more, every few months. I had no idea I had that many on the laptop!

Whilst I was doing the girls beds though I found Ellie's teddy, she always sleeps with this bear and forgot to take her to camp  She is nice and clean though as I took the opportunity to put her through the wash :rotfl2:

Oh, no! I hope she's OK.

Hey remember me? :goodvibes

Hope you're OK. It sounds like a nice weekend!

Welcome back, and, if I remember right, Happy Belated Birthday! I'm glad you had a good time!

Sorry about the cats. :headache:

Have a great week everyone. Looks like this week is going to be just as busy so I am not sure if I will be able to come back as frequently as I have been.

It does sound terribly busy - drop in when you can!

Where is TE? I think she as an Acer!

I'm back from our camping trip. Going back go page 22 to catch up LOL!

Hope everyone is doing well. Missed you all!

Good luck with that;)

Welcome back and glad you had fun.:goodvibes

Friday mid afternoon!

Wow...you and David won't know what to do with yourselves:rolleyes1

So the heck is everyone else?!

 Kat.

It's been kind of quiet around here so you haven't missed much!

DId you tear up registering Evan for K?

What happened to your back!?

======================================================

Home from work, Jim is finishing up cooking dinner:yay: and we have absolutely nothing to do. I came across my CD of the Newsies soundtrack and have been listening to it in the car, so I may watch the movie on this rainy dreary night after Jimmy goes to bed and Jim is grading papers!

First Day back at work!!! I am exhausted! sssooo much to catch up on!! Have a supper busy week without the end of month paperwork nightmare thrown in on top!!
Judy has her surgery next Monday and will be in the Hospital overnight!! With luck she will only be off about 2-3 weeks It is gonn be major change for her !! She so badly wats thi tough as she believes it wil make her feel good about herself !! With the divorce she really needs that !!Her soon to be ex appears to be dodging the divorce papers but she has the address of where he is at and has given it to the lawyer !

I'm glad it's been quiet. I'd never get caught up otherwise.

Well, I had quotes but everytime I try to play on FB (Pet Society) it crashes my computer and I lose the stupid quotes. So, I'm really sorry guys. No quotes again for me.

Things were nutso around here this weekend though. Saturday we went to the bunny show. It's a 2 hr drive up and 2 hrs back, so we pretty much did that all day. We met our friend, Dave, up there for lunch since it's his hometown. That was nice. The bunnies were SOOOOO cute!!! I want more now. :rolleyes1
Sat. night we had Peg and Bob over for drinks. They bugged out pretty early so that was good. I was exhausted.

Sunday we had breakfast and then hung out around here. That was really nice. SD had a friend over Sat. and Sun nights so we had company around and that always messed me up. I just wanna hang out in my jammies, but can't. :sad2:

Monday morning poor Gus woke up vomiting and didn't stop all day. Bob ended up taking SD and his friend to the Memorial Day parade because I had to hang here with Gus. He's still sick. :guilty:

Today was Cap's surgery. He had to be there at 7:30 am. I got up (while everyone slept) and brought him in. I worried all day. It was so strange without him here.
He's home now, he did fine in his surgery.

But, he's not a he.
He's definitely a she. I'm not going to stop saying he though.

Gus is about to go to bed. And SD too! He's so tired from his 4 day weekend!!! So, maybe Bob and I will actually get to watch some tv without little people interupting.

Miss you all. Have a  if you need one!
