That 'cause she's not! In fact, she may or may not know her exact age. ;)
:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl: I'm 37-38ish. ;)
I'm done buying Legos.
Can you believe we have NONE?! Leo's not a Lego lover. :confused3

I realize I may get flamed for this from my Christian friends but I also don't totally buy into the need for a Christian education either. I guess I am what they call a liberal, progressive, or forward thinking Christian. Again, this is just my personal opinion but I don't think that Christians should ever seperate themselves from the outside world. I think it gives Christian children a distorted view of what the world is like and doesn't properly prepare them for real world. Also I think that it is the parents responsibility to teach their children about core values and religious beliefs that define their family.
Well, your atheist Internet friend thinks your words (and the thoughts behind them) are terrific!
Jo, Janet, and T - most of our debt came from our divorces. I had $25,000 in attorney bills alone. I had no money and so was forced to put it on credit cards. Add to that Zeta's student loans, two car payments and you have an awful mess. We have paid a lot down in the last two years and paid cash for all three of our disney trips so we have come a long way.
:worship: Man, do I wish my ex handled things that way. I spent years paying down the post-divorce debt, too, and am finally at a point where I can do some special things for Leo and myself. The ex... amassed more debt and struggles to cover child support, let alone do anything extra for Leo. :sad2: (ETA: that didn't sound right without mroe info. - he quit a well-paying job and amassed debt and puts paying everything else above paying child support, so he completely put himself in that position.)

Hi Fockers!
Hi Mo!
At 17 I was hanging out in NYC, the drinking age was 18 or 19 and the clubs in NYC never proofed, Jersey was already 21. Well and NYC was just more fun:rolleyes1
:rotfl2: I'd forgotten, but in Canada, the drinking age was 18 or 19, and I lived 5 minutes from the Peace Bridge. We headed north most weekend nights for a few years!

 The drinking age up here is still 19 except for Quebec where it is 18. Having the drinking age that low actually helps with the drinking problems on campus as it is something most students can do and so they are used to drinking and thus know their limits and don't get too out of control, most of the time. ;)

Oh wow, I had no idea it was still 18-19! And, call me Canadian, but that makes perfect sense to me; let's maybe let young adults learn how to responsibly drink before sending them off on their own! :thumbsup2

Geez, can ya'll tell I'm in a fired-up mood today?! I need to find something about which to write my congress people...

I totally agree, I actually love the European attitude towards alcohol, it is totally acceptable over there for a teen and young adult to have wine with their meals. Growing up with an open attitude towards it makes it such a normal aspect of their lives that it is not a big deal to drink. Over here though and especially in the States there is such a taboo over young people drinking. That makes them WANT to drink and drink in excess because it is something they are not supposed to do and what do young people like to do best? Rebel! They then end up drinking in excess because they have never been taught what is an acceptable amount and end up passed out or in the hospital for alcohol poisoning. :sad2:

ICE - 45 minutes? Really? I think you are pushing it expecting a 7 year old to behave that long

I know, but he did make it. :lmao:

I have nothing interesting to say but just like being here :goodvibes

Me, too!

I never liked shopping for school supplies

This surprises me, Miss I Pack Six Months in Advance. :rotfl2:

Not much going on here. Bill's parents are coming from Indiana to see us on Friday. On the 4th we will just watch the city fireworks from our balcony. Ace, our dog, doesn't like the noise, but he will come out on the balcony just to be with us.

Hi, Tracy! Have fun on the 4th!

Bill's chiropractor wants us to update the website Bill built for him and wants Bill to do another website for a daycare center his Mom started. Bill said "more money for Disney" :thumbsup2.

Excellent!

Can you believe we have NONE?! Leo's not a Lego lover. :confused3

That surprises me, too.

I'm with you guys. My Ireland-born friend also feels that way - she says you just don't see the binge drinking over there nearly as much.

Geez, can ya'll tell I'm in a fired-up mood today?! I need to find something about which to write my congress people...

Go get 'em! ;)

*********************************************************

We got all cleaned up, and now the neighbor's over to play. I just said that they had to put anything away that comes out - I should not have to vacuum again, thankfully. ;) Right now they are in the boys' room, which is best, in my opinion. ;)

He brought with him two grocery bags of hand-me-downs. Sadly a full bag is already too small for my kids, but we got some more shorts that will work, which is nice. :thumbsup2

I then pass everything down to the house on the other side of him, so it's not a problem. THAT neighbor has a son and a grandson who are 3 days apart in age, so getting a ton is good for her, too.

I should really go put in some laundry and tackle my own mess in the dining room - where a lot gets tossed "for now" and never gets moved.

I'm sure I'll be back!

What sounds good for dinner? I need ideas.

Morning! It's a rainy, dreary day down here in FL. Bleeehh.

Hi V Sorry about the carppy weather!

Canada Day = Fourth of July

Same deal basically, fireworks, bbqs, drinking, parties.

Gotcha!:thumbsup2

It is a sickness.

It is, but like Disney not one I am willing to part with;)

#3 son got out of bed last night to tell me we need to move to Florida so he can have a tree house with a tire swing. Apparently trees in Florida are better than trees here. I think I agree

I agree too ::yes::

I can't believe they would do that and put you all in danger

Crazy ain't it?

Been paining the kitchen again, I know it's never ending and after doing 4 hours it still isn't all done But I had to wait in for FedEx, I missed them yesterday, and they brought me some new Disney Moms Panel cards, they're so cute, they have my photo and name on and are all glossy and lovely Now I need some people to hand them out too!

4 hours :faint: How big is your kitchen?

every year I get the nephews and niece school supplies (the fun/costly stuff parents say they don't need. ). I started in May of This year.

:thumbsup2

Wow, V, I wouldn't have guessed you were that old.

If she's old I must be ancient:headache:

It's 59 and raining here - never got to 70 yesterday. I'm half excited for August at this point.

I;m sorry:hug:

My brother pays 35K for his 2 kids to attend a private school.

:faint:

Andy says the same thing.

See, we get the short end of the stick:sad2:

Me too! Staples already has their school supply area stocked. I bought both kids a pencil/supply box. I just couldn't help myself!

I haven't gotten anything for Jimmy yet, but Staples will be having their Staples appreciation sale soon. THis is when I love Jim being a teacher. Last year we got 24 pack crayons for 5 cents:woohoo:

Funny, I didn't feel that way when I sent Maddie and Evan to Christian pre-school. I probably should have, though.

On the flip side though, look what happened with Jimmy. We wanted him to go to Catholic school and once they found out he wasn't "perfect" they kicked him out:mad:

Got really nothing planned, but I need to get working on vacation stuff. Get my bins of crap organized and such.

30 days out and this is not done :faint: I'm beginning to worry about you T. I have to stop to get shampoo and soap for Jimmy and the box to send back to my mom is ready:thumbsup2

My mom's walker is coming today and Waldo's got a follow up appt. on his surgery this afternoon,

Thinking of them both:hug:

Woody says, "I can't believe it's sunny there!" Jo, can we move in with you? I'll help paint the kitchen.

That sounds like a good deal to me Jo!:thumbsup2

Mine are upstairs sorting Legos. Didn't they attempt that last summer, too? I was told yesterday that my children have 63 Lego Star Wars sets I'm done buying Legos.

Jimmy is really into them , especailly since he had Lego robotics at camp last week. I have a feeling I will be hitting the Lego store at DTD next month!

I have nothing interesting to say but just like being here

Me too:thumbsup2

Hi Fockers!

Mo, you are on a roll:woohoo:

I have been working on mousekeeping envelopes, t-shirt designs, and window clings for our trip, pics are on my PTR if anyone is interested

Mousekeeping envelopes...doh, something else to add to the to do list. New I forgot something! Didn't know you had one going. Will check it out in a few!:thumbsup2

I'm 37-38ish.

Are you sure;)

Geez, can ya'll tell I'm in a fired-up mood today?! I need to find something about which to write my congress people...

I have a governor who could use a letter or two Just sayin'.

This what I was going to say :lmao:

He brought with him two grocery bags of hand-me-downs.

I love great clothing exchanges:yay: Too bad we don't live near each other we could probably switch off stuff!
================================

Do you freaking believe that the electricians left becasue the raceway (the pole that covers wires from the ceiling down to the work stations) needed to be put back in and they said they had to wait to power everything up until the contractor came back and did that. I went up there, climbed on a desk and had it snapped into place in all of 2 minutes:mad: I called them and told them if they weren't back here at 8:00am tomorrow morning there was going to be h-e-double hockey sticks to pay!:mad:Morons! Sorry can you tell I'm :rolleyes1

Other than that not much going on. I just want all this carp to be over with!

I'm willing to mail stuff - what size is he in? The two houses down neighbor is only 3, so sometimes I feel bad giving her really big stuff that she has to store for years... Plus, I have 3 kids' worth of stuff, as a rule, so there's plenty to go 'round.

Sorry can you tell I'm :rolleyes1

He's too busy to read. Must fall back in love with his wife whilst not thinking about his soul mate. Yes, Jo he really did say that! :rotfl:

He's also trying to figure out just how much he needs to pay back the state of SC....So far we've gotten two checks.:sad2:

How big is your kitchen? :scared1: :rotfl:
It's 7.5m long and as it was previously wallpapered it's had to have about 5 coats of paint on :sad2:

How long is you Moms Panel stint for, Jo?
Meant to be for 1 year!

Woody says, "I can't believe it's sunny there!" Jo, can we move in with you? I'll help paint the kitchen. ;)
Definitely :rotfl2: It's been high 80's low 90's here for ages!!!

What do they expect you to do with those cards? Shouldn't they have sent them to you months ago?
Oh we had other ones but these are really pretty with our photo on :thumbsup2

**I have a lot more to say here but don't want to push the limits and risk getting the thread closed **
:rotfl2: Mine go to a Church school as it's the best around!!!!

I have nothing interesting to say but just like being here :goodvibes
Good to have you

My parents only rule was when it got to be a certain point I had to call and let them know I was still alive, of course they didn't know where I was, I told them I was hanging at the diner or something. Now keep in mind I weighed about 115 in HS, if I was at the diner that much, I should have been in the 200 club;)
:rotfl2:

You 2 should come to England where the drinking age is 18, we have teenagers rolling out of pubs throwing up everywhere the Brits are renowned (sp?) for their drunkeness :sad2:

4 hours :faint: How big is your kitchen?
7.5m long and has needed lots of work, plus we're lazy :rotfl2:

I went up there, climbed on a desk and had it snapped into place in all of 2 minutes:mad: I called them and told them if they weren't back here at 8:00am tomorrow morning there was going to be h-e-double hockey sticks to pay!:mad:Morons!
:headache: good for you fixing it!

He said Whilst? Cool :rotfl2:

Just done 9 holes whilst the girls were swimming with the Guides, it was a beautiful evening and hardly anyone around :goodvibes

I hate wallpaper. (Well, the removal thereof.)

Definitely :rotfl2: It's been high 80's low 90's here for ages!!!

Thanks, I'll be right there! :goodvibes

It really depends on what it is. Long pants he needs 7 or the length, but 6 for the waist:sad2: Shorts he is anywhere from a 4 to a 6:confused3 Weird kid. What we would pay in shipping would probaly cost more than buying..thanks anyway though:goodvibes

I'll get the spare bedroom ready, must warn you though it's half decorated as in I've stripped the top layer of wallpaper off and it's just the lining :rotfl2:

Me too, hence why we had the house gutted last year instead of trying to scrape wallpaper!:thumbsup2
Every room in this house except the lounge and hallway was wallpaper

Kristel, where are you??????

OK, but I have a grocery bag full of size 6 adjustable waist shorts... :rolleyes1 It probably wouldn't cost that much, I might just pop them in the mail.

Makes perfect sense to me! ;)

That's fine! ;)

Every room in this house except the lounge and hallway was wallpaper

That's kind of how ours was, too - the 3 bedrooms that aren't the master had only borders up, but everything else in the house had paper. Even the hallways had chair rails and paper on the bottom. :sad2: It would have been OK if it weren't all ugly. :rotfl:

I thought she said she was going to be working alot this week???:confused3

Ooohhhhhhhhh, if you do I will send you the $$ for the shipping!:thumbsup2 Adjustable waist are so hard to find here!

Jimmy's room had a border and the idiots who lived here before us but it up too wet so that when JIm took down chunks of drywall came down with it:headache: What do you expect from people who PAINTED the 1x1 tiles in the powder room:eek::sad2:

Canadian teens must have a better handle on their drinking than the Brits. ;)

I was referring more to countries like France, Italy, Spain, Greece.

Hi everyone!

I skimmed but I'm too darn tired to quote.

Day 2 at WoD is over. Today was a bit better than yesterday. I was unpacking boxes the first half of the shift then we had to process the clothes, which I already hate. I'm sore but i think my cocktail of vitamins, ibuprofen, antacids and some extra sleep helped. We'll see how I am tomorrow. Then I'm off until Monday. I am going to give my body until after Tuesday, which is the day I take my Traditions Class , and then discuss my situation with my manager.

And i am already spending a paycheck I didn't even get yet...lol....and plannign a trip for March in my head to pass the time during my shifts. Half off the resorts makes my head spin, in the good way!

I'm off to relax on the recliner and wait for KC to get home.
