I checked into the private school that I attended through 5th grade. The total for my three children including the max scholarship awarded will be the low low price of $20,000 per year.
Sakes alive! There are colleges cheaper than that.
Rosie: :hug: to you. We'll all be keeping you in our thoughts!

Angela: No shopping? No pool? You must be all discombobulated! LOL :lmao:

CE: Wow, busy momma! Glad the boys are growing well. Gus' head is huge too! :laughing:

JO: A mug?! For first place?! :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Janet: ITA with you about the photo. No way would I do it if I worked in law enforcement of ANY kind! :scared1:

V: As the mother of an almost 17 year old, I can say that I think that is WAY too young to be out till "the wee hours." I also lived on my own at that age, but I think you'd agree that it wasn't ideal, and that it was (at times) downright scary or dangerous. He does not have his driver's license yet, but when he does he's restricted to midnight by the law anyway. Did this kid drive?

Some extras:
T, you don't have fat legs, Kate, miss you! Saw a Mo sighting way back a few pages! KJJ, don't go looking and you won't get mad. S'late, you could always homeschool. :rolleyes1 Just sayin'.....

Hi everyone!!! Dawn's ticker is cool huh?????? I can't wait to visit my favorite TEXAS Fockers!!!!!!!

Today was a boring laundry day. It poured down rain all day and it's cold. I don't think it got above 62 all day!

Tomorrow I am going to IKEA with Gus and my friend, Cyndi. I'll check back in later when I'm home. Just in case I get something good.... :thumbsup2 I'm coloring my hair tomorrow too. Sick of looking like an old hag.

MEL:banana:
Have fun! I haven't been to our Ikea in ages-it's so fun.

Things are better here-the sinuses (sunusi?) are better, although I think I may still get it checked out, as it's my second one in a month.
I scraped the Naples part of my FL trip (I'm going to invite my godmother to visit at some point), so I'm doing 5 nights at RPR (the Superbowl code was awesome). My vacation time needs to be ok'd, but it's looking like it'll be getting in late 7/30, and leaving 8/4.

Wholly Molly! I quit shopping two years ago. Right after we got married we made a promise to get out of debt. So we don't buy anything unless we absolutely need it. It hurt for a long time but I think I am finally out of detox LOL! We should have our house paid off in 5 years!
Define "need". :rolleyes1

I don't think I could do it. Really, I don't think I could do it. :faint: I probably should, but I just can't. :rolleyes:

I checked into the private school that I attended through 5th grade. The total for my three children including the max scholarship awarded will be the low low price of $20,000 per year.

Really???? It's alot of money. We looked into private school for Jimmy when we had all the dram last year...$12,000 just for him:faint:

Janet: ITA with you about the photo. No way would I do it if I worked in law enforcement of ANY kind! :scared1:

See, everyone here thinks I'm crazy. Thanks Mel:hug:

T, you don't have fat legs

ITA - did I miss where she said she had them:confused3

Hi everyone!!! Dawn's ticker is cool huh?????? I can't wait to visit my favorite TEXAS Fockers!!!!!!!

Oh you now you both are going to have to do a TR for this little get together::yes:: :yay::yay::yay:

Tomorrow I am going to IKEA with Gus and my friend, Cyndi.

Are you looking for anything inparticular or just going to "window shop"

I'm coloring my hair tomorrow too. Sick of looking like an old hag.

You do not:sad2:

I hate complaining of nothing to do when they have a house full of toys!

Exactly!

Wholly Molly! I quit shopping two years ago. Right after we got married we made a promise to get out of debt. So we don't buy anything unless we absolutely need it. It hurt for a long time but I think I am finally out of detox LOL! We should have our house paid off in 5 years!

That's awesome.:thumbsup2

My thoughts as well.

It looks like public school is the only option given that Ed McMahon will never find me now. The only private that we could remotely afford is Wilson Christian, but our children wouldn't be attending for the right reasons. Nothing against church based schooling, but we couldn't exactly say we are here because we want our children schooled in a Christian environment but rather that you are the cheapest around.

I know what you mean, but if that is where you feel that your kids will get the best education....:confused3 Sorry that was not really any help!:hug:

Things are better here-the sinuses (sunusi?) are better, although I think I may still get it checked out, as it's my second one in a month.

We are missing each other by 12 days at Universal:sad2:

Me too T, me too;)

=================

Good Morning. So I have to work a half day tomorrow becasue my boss is out and we have a bunch of moves happening so one of us needs to be here. Fortunately they cancelled the picture tomorrow so I don't have to worry about that:yay:

Jim and Jimmy were both sound asleep when I left for work this morning. I'm not sure I like this whole they get to sleep in every day thing:rolleyes1

Not much else planned. Mom and dad are having dinner at my brothers tonight. We will probably just hang out and if it's not raining or anything take Jimmy out to ride his bike or skate or something.

Hope everyone have a great day:goodvibes

Thanks for all the Hugs !! I have the surgery as an outpatient , just local anaestetic NO fasting which is good cuz I hate NOT eating !! The date is July 8th !! Phil wil l!!!take on call for me ! He also will load my photp pass picks for me I may give them tomorrow whn I see him at the office !! He's a good friend but he OWES me !!! Orat least that's what I tell him !!

Kat I still want details on Atlantic City!!!

Rose, I have been through this procedure several times, I kind of went back and forth about posting (I feel a little uncomfortable posting specifically personal stuff), but I thought it might make you feel better.

I have fibrocystic bre*sts, which means they're tough and ropy on the inside and they form cysts, which, when you feel them from the outside, are lumps :scared1:. I look normal from the outside, they just don't feel normal-it tends to wig out general practicioners who send me to the bre*st specialists, who then do ultrasounds and needle biopsies. I think I've had about a dozen in the past ten years, all negative for cancer, but they still need to check each lump out to drain it and test it, so it's kind of a drag for me but basically I've learned to live with it and be happy that each time one shows up it's negative.

The statistics are that 80% of all biopsies (not just ones done for cysts) are negative, that statistic makes me feel better.

The procedure itself is not that bad; they numb you up really well and the biopsy punch is spring loaded so it just kind of pops in and out of you super fast. The bore of the biopsy punch is so small I've always healed up with no scars, just some bruising for a week afterwards. I find that if I don't focus on the procedure and just focus on relaxing (I often visualize myself walking around EPCOT), it's much less stressful.

Your procedure may be somewhat different since your doc is removing a mass as opposed to draining a fluid-filled cyst, but I just wanted to let you know it's not as scary as your imagination may think it is (I know the first time I had one I was one step away from a full blown freak out-then I was like, well THAT wasn't so bad!)

:hug:.

Happy Canada Day!

Glad to see that you are all doing well. I can't believe that there are only two months left of summer, time goes by so quickly now! I am rather looking forward to getting back to school though, I am a total nerd and love learning. I am even getting excited over buying school supplies! :rolleyes: I am feeling a bit nervous about my science classes as I haven't done anything science or math related since I finished high school way back in 01! I'm sure it will be fine though, you all know me, I worry over everything and it always turns out to be nothing. :rotfl:

It is Canada Day today, no plans for me though. I am stuck at work until 4pm
(hurray for holiday pay!) and then it is supposed to rain tonight so that means no fireworks or barbecues. :sad2: Hopefully you all have better weather this weekend for the 4th. :thumbsup2

I checked into the private school that I attended through 5th grade. The total for my three children including the max scholarship awarded will be the low low price of $20,000 per year.
For all three? Amazingly, that's pretty good, compared to here. When I've looked for Leo it's a range of $12,000 to $20,000 for just him! :faint:

I also lived on my own at that age, but I think you'd agree that it wasn't ideal, and that it was (at times) downright scary or dangerous.
Really? Nope, I never felt that way at all. Moving out was absolutely perfect for me... hence my ill feelings about living with my mother now, at an age pushing 40, lol!
Did this kid drive?
Yep. Sounds like licensing rules may have changed some since I was 17; I had my permit at 15 and full license at 16.

The only private that we could remotely afford is Wilson Christian, but our children wouldn't be attending for the right reasons. Nothing against church based schooling, but we couldn't exactly say we are here because we want our children schooled in a Christian environment but rather that you are the cheapest around.
:hug: I've gone through that line of thinking too s'late. The parochial schools here are much cheaper than the non-parochial, but it would be beyond hypocritical for me to go that route.

I feel like poo poo still, every time i eat i feel like death.
Feel better Kat! :hug:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Morning! :wave: It's a rainy, dreary day down here in FL. :sad2: Bleeehh.
Thank you each and everyone of you for all your HUGS and kind words !!I am SURVIVOR. bout 8 years ago a Mammo shoed something and yes they told me the statistics but it was still cancer . Luckily it was a very very early stage and I ust had radiation and meds for 5 years ! The proceedure itself doesn't scare me it's waiting or the results !!
Juice I too have those cysty breasts which makes mammos even more important !! I thank you for sharing your exprience . Tat's what I love about my Fockers we can share ourthiughts and knowall wewill get in return is hugs , concern and .acceptance.
Hugs to all of you !!
You too:goodvibes...what is it?:laughing:
:laughing: Canada Day = Fourth of July
Same deal basically, fireworks, bbqs, drinking, parties.
OMG, I'm the same way. Everyday I keep checking the mail for Jimmy's school supply list so I can go start getting his stuff. :rotfl2:
:laughing: I am positively gleeful when choosing which pens I should buy or what colour notebook I want for each class. It is a sickness. ;)
Morning :goodvibes
Another hot and humid day in SC. 96 today....98 tomorrow. August will be lovely:scared:
#3 son got out of bed last night to tell me we need to move to Florida so he can have a tree house with a tire swing. :confused3 Apparently trees in Florida are better than trees here. I think I agree :thumbsup2
Hope everyone has a great day :flower3:
they have to be painted "complimentary to your skin tone colors". Sos purple no good, beige = good. ;)
As CE said you're not purple? :rotfl2:
I am also concerned about the job. Originally I was a "runner" which involves moving around and stocking stuff, etc. Now I am "receiving" which is a lot of standing still and hanging and folding stuff. Easy yes, but still is the thing that bothers me most in terms of my back. Sooo...I am not giving up, I am going to see how I feel after this week, hopefully it'll be like working out and I can get used to it.
Let them know if your back hurts :hug:
See my thought is that why would I want to give the criminals a picture of all of us...so they can pick us off one by one:confused3
I can't believe they would do that and put you all in danger :headache:
That's what I do, too - that's also why, if you have a TR or pre-TR, you've got to hit me over the head with it. I'll never find it by myself. :lmao:
Same here :rotfl2:
JO: A mug?! For first place?! :rotfl2:
I know :rotfl2:
So we don't buy anything unless we absolutely need it. It hurt for a long time but I think I am finally out of detox LOL! We should have our house paid off in 5 years!
We're not in debt except our mortgage but we don't spend and if we want something say a new kitchen we always save up for it before we buy. Our mortgage should be gone in about 5 years too :woohoo:
Nothing against church based schooling, but we couldn't exactly say we are here because we want our children schooled in a Christian environment but rather that you are the cheapest around.
You need to do what's best for the kids :hug:
Define "need". :rolleyes1
:rotfl2:
Happy Canada Day!
Have a nice day Lessa!
I'm sorry Rosie, glad it was caught early :hug:
:rotfl2:
Been paining the kitchen again, I know it's never ending and after doing 4 hours it still isn't all done :rotfl2: But I had to wait in for FedEx, I missed them yesterday, and they brought me some new Disney Moms Panel cards, they're so cute, they have my photo and name on and are all glossy and lovely :rotfl2: Now I need some people to hand them out too!
You too:goodvibes...what is it?:laughing:
OMG, I'm the same way. Everyday I keep checking the mail for Jimmy's school supply list so I can go start getting his stuff. :rotfl2:
every year I get the nephews and niece school supplies (the fun/costly stuff parents say they don't need. :) ). I started in May of This year.
For all three? Amazingly, that's pretty good, compared to here. When I've looked for Leo it's a range of $12,000 to $20,000 for just him! :faint:
Rose, I have been through this procedure several times, I kind of went back and forth about posting (I feel a little uncomfortable posting specifically personal stuff), but I thought it might make you feel better.
It's nice of you to share. :hug:
Happy Canada Day!
You, too! :goodvibes
Hopefully you all have better weather this weekend for the 4th.
Not here, so they say, but thanks! ;)
Me, too. I think many states are pushing back, though. :confused3
We were driving and out pretty late at 17, but then we had to go 30 miles to a movie theatre and so on.
Thank you each and everyone of you for all your HUGS and kind words !!I am SURVIVOR.
Oh, wow, Rosie. :hug: to you.
:laughing: I am positively gleeful when choosing which pens I should buy or what colour notebook I want for each class. It is a sickness. ;)
Nah, it's fun!
Another hot and humid day in SC. 96 today....98 tomorrow. August will be lovely:scared:
It's 59 and raining here - never got to 70 yesterday. I'm half excited for August at this point. :rotfl:
How big is your kitchen? :scared1: :rotfl:
Hand your cards out at golf - they'll learn they're playing with a celeb! :goodvibes
*********************************************************
Yep, woke up to more rain this morning. I don't know that it's raining right this minute, but it's truly not 60 yet. Happy July. :rolleyes:
D went off to the office. The kids and I have been cleaning up - it had been too long since a general pick-up and clean-up, and we have the playdate coming all day tomorrow.
Woody said they would just mess everything up again, and I know he's right, but the floors really need cleaning and can't do that without having them clear. He finally saw my point - AFTER I had to take away TV and the Wii for the morning. :headache: IF he can behave for another 45 minutes (he had to behave the whole morning), we can talk about it for this afternoon. :sad2: I'm sure he wouldn't care if he could go play outside - he loves being outside - but it's just so awful out. :headache:
I would have done the whole day, but it's more torture for me than for him. :rotfl:
I need to vacuum - thought I'd take my little Dis break after we cleared and dusted and so forth.
See you soon! :grouphug:
Really???? It's alot of money. We looked into private school for Jimmy when we had all the dram last year...$12,000 just for him:faint:
My brother pays 35K for his 2 kids to attend a private school. :faint:
Andy says the same thing. :laughing:
Happy Canada Day!
Happy Canada Day, to you Lessa! :goodvibes
OMG, I'm the same way. Everyday I keep checking the mail for Jimmy's school supply list so I can go start getting his stuff. :rotfl2:
Me too! Staples already has their school supply area stocked. I bought both kids a pencil/supply box. I just couldn't help myself!
:hug: I've gone through that line of thinking too s'late. The parochial schools here are much cheaper than the non-parochial, but it would be beyond hypocritical for me to go that route.
Funny, I didn't feel that way when I sent Maddie and Evan to Christian pre-school. :lmao: I probably should have, though. ;)
Blech! We've only gotten some nice weather this past week or 2. :confused:
Have a great day!
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Sunny and 80 today - sounds like another pool day. Got really nothing planned, but I need to get working on vacation stuff. Get my bins of crap organized and such.
My mom's walker is coming today and Waldo's got a follow up appt. on his surgery this afternoon, so I'll be in and out all day.
Have a good one! :flower3:
Blech! We've only gotten some nice weather this past week or 2. :confused:
Thanks, we'll try!
We had a partial nice day Saturday - the t-storms came in around 6:00. But aside from that, the last 25 out of 26 days have been rainy. And it's supposed to rain tomorrow, scattered t-storms all weekend, etc. It just keeps coming. :sad2:
I vacuumed and had lunch, and now need to feed the heathens. I'm watching Wimbledon again - I am finding myself amused by Federer's jacket. :rotfl:
Woody says, "I can't believe it's sunny there!" Jo, can we move in with you? I'll help paint the kitchen. ;)
they brought me some new Disney Moms Panel cards, they're so cute, they have my photo and name on and are all glossy and lovely :rotfl2: Now I need some people to hand them out too!
What do they expect you to do with those cards? Shouldn't they have sent them to you months ago?
Wow, V, I wouldn't have guessed you were that old.
That 'cause she's not! In fact, she may or may not know her exact age. ;)
:hug: LY, V!
Woody said they would just mess everything up again, and I know he's right, but the floors really need cleaning and can't do that without having them clear. He finally saw my point -
Mine are upstairs sorting Legos. Didn't they attempt that last summer, too? I was told yesterday that my children have 63 Lego Star Wars sets :eek: I'm done buying Legos.
Mine are upstairs sorting Legos. Didn't they attempt that last summer, too? I was told yesterday that my children have 63 Lego Star Wars sets :eek: I'm done buying Legos.
Ooph. We only have one official Star Wars set. And it's scattered all over (just in that there are pieces put together, some in the other Lego boxes, some attached to the Indy one...) Sigh.
I have tried to reply several times today but keep gettin interrupted. Let's try this again.
Rosie & KJJ :hug:
:eek: for the private school prices. Chi and Omicron went to a private school for K (first grade for Chi). I didn't like it. It was small and cheap but the education was far behind what I thought they should be. They both were bored. Looking back I see why some would want it - it is an ok school in a bad school district. But we are in a good school district and it just didn't make sense to send them there.
I realize I may get flamed for this from my Christian friends but I also don't totally buy into the need for a Christian education either. I guess I am what they call a liberal, progressive, or forward thinking Christian. Again, this is just my personal opinion but I don't think that Christians should ever seperate themselves from the outside world. I think it gives Christian children a distorted view of what the world is like and doesn't properly prepare them for real world. Also I think that it is the parents responsibility to teach their children about core values and religious beliefs that define their family.
**I have a lot more to say here but don't want to push the limits and risk getting the thread closed :laughing:**
CE - 45 minutes? Really? I think you are pushing it expecting a 7 year old to behave that long :laughing:
Jo, Janet, and T - most of our debt came from our divorces. I had $25,000 in attorney bills alone. I had no money and so was forced to put it on credit cards. Add to that Zeta's student loans, two car payments and you have an awful mess. We have paid a lot down in the last two years and paid cash for all three of our disney trips so we have come a long way.
I have nothing interesting to say but just like being here :goodvibes
Hi Fockers!
Scanned the last few pages
Rosie :hug:
Kat - :hug:
I never liked shopping for school supplies
Wow stunned by the prices of school now, that's what my college cost, way back when...
At 17 I was hanging out in NYC, the drinking age was 18 or 19 and the clubs in NYC never proofed, Jersey was already 21. Well and NYC was just more fun:rolleyes1
My parents only rule was when it got to be a certain point I had to call and let them know I was still alive, of course they didn't know where I was, I told them I was hanging at the diner or something. Now keep in mind I weighed about 115 in HS, if I was at the diner that much, I should have been in the 200 club;)
later I got a 1pm meeting and I have to finish eating...
Rosie: :hug:
Kat: I hope your back troubles don't stop you. :hug:
s'late: I would have almost passed out if I would have heard how much that was going to cost. :scared:
Lessa: Happy Canada Day! :goodvibes
Hello everyone else!
==============================================================
Not much going on here. Bill's parents are coming from Indiana to see us on Friday. On the 4th we will just watch the city fireworks from our balcony. Ace, our dog, doesn't like the noise, but he will come out on the balcony just to be with us.
I have been working on mousekeeping envelopes, t-shirt designs, and window clings for our trip, pics are on my PTR if anyone is interested :rolleyes1. Bill's chiropractor wants us to update the website Bill built for him and wants Bill to do another website for a daycare center his Mom started. Bill said "more money for Disney" :thumbsup2.
