Good morning Focker friends. I am truly p1ssed now. First off, the killer has been caught:

http://www.wral.com/news/local/story/5441078/

but now here is where I am about to blow my lid.

http://maps.google.com/maps?oe=utf-...jaAw&sa=X&oi=geocode_result&ct=title&resnum=1

The redneck family (who has the child who bullies DD) owns the land with the abandoned double wide. Now maybe instead of blowing their $$ on spoiling their children, perhaps they should have taken some social responsibility and removed said trailer. :mad: I am so mad, I could spit nails.

Thank goodness the killer was caught :hug:. I would be livid about this too, that is why people aren't supposed to be allowed to have abondoned things like that around. The killer probably watched her and saw she was vulnerable. This is horrible.

Morning Friends!
They didn't :eek: :sad2: Some people!!!!
Yep, now you understand why I hate Birmingham?

I posted this on FB but let me just say the media amazes me. Did yo know that UCLA in in LA? That is actually what one of the reporters said "For those that don't know UCLA is in Los Angeles":lmao:
Noooo! And all this time I thought it was Louisiana :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Don't you just love the media how they babble when they have nothing new to report?

I'm more a Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, early Metallica sort of gal. Van Halen and the "hair bands" were more my style.

NO Michael Jackson.

Mel
::yes:: :thumbsup2

Naturally.

What about Queensryche? Or Guns and Roses (the OLD stuff!)....

Mel:banana:

Debra: You would think they would have your correct name by now.

I am in full planning, making things mode for this trip in November. Ok, what do you call your son’s live in girlfriend’s kids?? Are they still our grandkids? I am a 39 year old granny!! Christian has ADHD and we are debating back on forth on whether to surprise them with the trip or not. It is fairly complicated.

Bill’s new wheelchair will be ordered by the end of the week, but we were told the pricing didn’t include the locking system under the chair so he can be locked into the van. The one on the current wheelchair is not compatible with the new chair, imagine that! So We are looking at between $500 - $600 for that. I hope everyone has a great day tomorrow.!!

You would think (about the name). They call all the time and say is this Mrs. XXX and I say "No this is Mrs. W, XXX is my ex husbands name" I called them yesterday and they said that their checks are done by an outside source and that I would need to call them to get the check cancelled and a new one issued. I called and left a message and no one called me back. I really need this money (to blow at a concert this weekend) so I may just have to ask my X to co-sign and just explain to my bank that this was me. I think I still have my old SS card or something to prove that that was once my name. It is just frustrating.

:hug: So sorry bout the lock on the chair. Yes, I think I would still call them my grandkids but that is just me.

Good morning Focker friends. I am truly p1ssed now. First off, the killer has been caught:
:hug: :hug:

DH wants to go to the Dane Cook concert this weekend. He purchased the tickets and wanted me to book us a room but I balanced my checkbook and found that I have $43 to last me until next week. :headache: That A/C repair did me in for a while I think. Nope, it has nothing to do with us just getting back from WDW or all the dining out we have done since the kids have been gone :sad2:

Not much else going on. What does everyone else have planned for the weekend?

Today I found out I will not be a "runner" but a "processor". I will be "back stage" and deal with tagging and organizing the stuff when it comes in.
That sounds more like my style. Good luck! :goodvibes

I am in full planning, making things mode for this trip in November.
:cool1: Not a bad thing!

Oh and thunder storms are forecast :sad2:
At Wimbledon they want rain so the new center court roof can be tested. :rotfl2:

Good morning Focker friends. I am truly p1ssed now. First off, the killer has been caught:
:eek: Has the family said anything? That is so scary and I worry about that happening with my grandmother. She and my mother think nothing of telling people she still lives along. It's like, look how well she's doing for her age. :rolleyes:

I am having a recurring dream, 5-6 times, about moving back to Memphis which is quite odd because I have absolutely no desire to move back! :confused3

I think my sister did enjoy her ring. I know I would.

S'late- I'd be mad too. :mad:

Today we're meeting friends from SA for lunch. I can't wait to see them! My MIL is also coming to meet us so she can take the kids for the weekend. K's replacing both of our ACs and it's going to get hot in here. :headache:
Yesterday it hit 107!!! :scared:

I'm going to spend the day gone tomorrow and try to survive. :rolleyes:

OMG, the new fireworks were awesome. :cloud9: Dumbo flew around the castle as "Baby Mine" was piped in, it was so adorable I got all verklempt!
I would be wasted. :sad1::sad1::sad1: I haven't been able to sit through that song since Bonehead walked out. I literally leave the room when Leo watches Dumbo and I avoid the MK ferry because it frequently plays there.
I got into an altercation with a stupid woman right infront of my Brownie co-leader. She was shocked when I put my ghetto on.
I love Ghetto T! :teeth:

I made it through my Dr. Seigle visit with new drops and an appt. to see him again at the end of Aug. In the realm of Dr. Seigle visits, this is good. :thumbsup2
Yay! :cheer2:

Oh, hey, on the LGMH thread (Dis'er Spotting!) they're talking about standoffish fokkers. I threw down for y'all.
Ooo, I need a link! Anyone want to bet I'm referenced in some way? ;) :rotfl2:

ETA: Found it - there were a BUNCH of folks who chatted on the TFW thread for what - maybe 4-6 months? - bought the lanyards, had a meet, and then disappeared... Bet that was one of them!

We ended up, on the first and last nice day for a week, being in the car most of the afternoon.
That's how I like taking my nature - form the car window! ;)

Slate - nope, never bought Thriller or any othe Michael Jackson album...yuck! Not my kind of music. In the 80's I listened to The Who, Zepplin, Jethro Tull, Bon Jovi. I know, something else that I am odd man out on;)
Not necessarily. I did listen to some MJ, but plenty of Who, Zeppelin and Jethro, too. NO Bon Jovi, though. :crazy2:

He's a "little" more hardcore.
Wendy O. Williams, perhaps? pirate:

I didn't even like;) the Rolling Stones or Elvis !!!
:faint: Rosie's trying to kill me!

V: I wish you hadn’t said that about the online ADR’s, now I know that is what I will be doing too.
:teeth: Always happy to enable!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Where'd the rest of my quotes go??? :confused3 Sorry! :flower3:
It's a rainy, rainy morning here. Depressing looking, but we sure need the rain.
Leo's camp is going to see a local production of High School Musical today. I skirted the subject and only told him they're going to see a musical. He HATES HSM! Picking him up later should be interesting. :rolleyes:
Nothing exciting planned for the weekend. If Night at the Museum 2 is still playing, I'll take Leo. I'm sure we'll be in the pool some. Leo needs to clean his room. I need groceries. Yawn, I'm boring myself just writing it!
Happy Friday all! :grouphug:
He's a "little" more hardcore.
Yea a little: ( not in order of preference )
Metallica
Megadeth
Iron Maiden
Anthrax
Dirty Rotten Imbeciles (D.R.I)
Death
Suici dal Tendencies
Dark Angel
Testament
Napalm Death
Deicide
so basically,
Heavy Metal, Death Metal, Black Metal, Thrash Metal but could stand anything but Country, Rap, and Hip Hop.
Good Morning All!!
V I dd see the Stones in concert back in the 60's !! Also saw every Elvis moviei ! I wasn't a fan but my friends were !!:lmao:
When I was growing up Pop, soda or whatever was called corona !! Jo ask your Dad and Mum!!!:rotfl2:
Judy was a huge Bon Jovi and Axle Rose fan as a TEEN!!:scared1:
Are we still being "picked on" by that other thread!!:laughing:
Well allis quiet here , the boys are medicated and hence CALM!!!:rotfl2:
Dishes re done and kitchen all cleaned up, went thru "that pile" and tossed out junk mail, etc so the pileis now respectable !! Swiffered the floor and am now relaxingwith my Focker Friends ! Ahhhh Life is good:worship:
Ok, what do you call your son’s live in girlfriend’s kids?? Are they still our grandkids? I am a 39 year old granny!!
I guess, but I'm 37 and would not necessarily want to be called Granny. ;) (Honestly, yes, that's what I'd call them, though.)
The one on the current wheelchair is not compatible with the new chair, imagine that! So We are looking at between $500 - $600 for that.
Of course...
I've been cutting David's for years, just take your time :thumbsup2
I offered to cut D's last night, but he seemed to want me to practice on the kids first. :lmao:
My mum's been cutting my dad's hair their whole married life, too. Surely I can do the kids' hair. ;)
Have arranged to play golf with david and 2 friends, I play golf all the time with Annemarie and my mixed golf partner is her husband Andy so we were going to have a fun match D & AM versus A and Me but it's raining :sad2:Oh and thunder storms are forecast :sad2:
Hope the rain stops and you can play!
Oh, for goodness's sake. I don't blame you for being mad. :hug:
Not much else going on. What does everyone else have planned for the weekend?
D thinks he needs to work on safety stuff today. The boys and I might go over to watch the Open tennis tournament that our club puts on - my favorite pro is playing. That's if the t-storms hold off here, too.
Tomorrow we are hoping for the boat, but there are scattered t-storms in the forecast. D flies Sunday, so it will likely be lazy for the boys and me.
I think my sister did enjoy her ring. I know I would.
HOLY MOLEY! That's gorgeous and HUGE! :faint:
Yesterday it hit 107!!!
It caught my eye on CNN that College Station hit 106 yesterday - that's where my aunt and uncle live (my dad's brother and his wife - the ones who have already said they can't come to IL when I'm there.) That's nasty.
That's how I like taking my nature - form the car window!
:rotfl: - it's just that we once again have rain in the 10 day forecast EVERY day. I will say that most of those are scattered t-storm forecasts - so I'm hoping it's FL-like weather - OK in the morning, heat build up, storm, clear out. ;)
Leo's camp is going to see a local production of High School Musical today. I skirted the subject and only told him they're going to see a musical. He HATES HSM! Picking him up later should be interesting.
Really? My boys love all three. Funny.
Yea a little: ( not in order of preference )
Hiya, Mr. Slaw! :goodvibes
*********************************************************
Lazy morning here today. I don't really have any plans, other than possibly heading over to the gym later to watch the tennis. I need to figure out a way to exercise - that's the killer about the kids being too old for the day care there. I don't mind them running around when I am outside playing tennis, but when I'm in a room they're technically not even allowed in, it gets more dicey.
And, I'm lowering myself down to one class of tennis per week, to give us more flexibility for the boat, but that also then means I'm not committed to exercise 3 days a week, and when I'm not committed... :sad2:
I'm thinking V's sadistic trainer is the way to go for the summer. :thumbsup2 :rotfl:
Good morning Focker friends. I am truly p1ssed now. First off, the killer has been caught.
Aggghhhhh
actually, yes!
Really? Wow!!!!
At Wimbledon they want rain so the new center court roof can be tested. :rotfl2:
The cover was on early this morning :thumbsup2 and wow that's a big diamond!!!
Today we're meeting friends from SA for lunch. I can't wait to see them!
It did :thumbsup2
But you'll be running around after the boys :thumbsup2
We had no rain at all so managed to golf and my partner and I beat David and his partner :woohoo::cheer2::yay: Not much else going on chatted with Emma in NY for a while, had the abc song sung to me by Ollie and listened to Ben scream as he dropped Thomas on his foot :rotfl2: Oh and booked for Ellie to have her ears pierced on Monday, it's a late Birthday pressie!
So, I have a question for my peeps...
We got the invitation to BIL's wedding yesterday. :cool1:
But it did get me to thinking about what to wear.
Very modern invites, wedding is at 6:00 at the Art Institute in Chicago, reception there afterward, with dancing.
I'm sure it will be fairly formal, but there's no "black tie" or anything. D and the boys are set, as they are in the wedding party.
I am not doing anything for the wedding, but will undoubtedly be in family pictures, and will need to look pretty good.
I guess I'm just totally at a loss about a "look" and also where to look for stuff.
Any ideas for a 37 year old who wants to look good, fancy, and attractive, but not dowdy or mom-like, and where to find such a thing?
For kicks, here are some of the things I own. This is what I wore to my cousin's wedding last summer. I think it's flattering, but probably not fancy enough. It's a fancier jersey material.
012-1.jpg
033.jpg
This one's actually 5 years old, and I can't find a full length picture. It's short, which might be too young looking, and is a material that looks merlot-colored in some light and black in others.
147_4774_1.jpg
Oh, here's a full-length:
148_4819_1.jpg
This one was actually my bridesmaid's dress for my cousin's wedding. It is floor length - the skirt is straight, and it's almost a tuxedo style. It's probably the most formal thing I own - this picture is from the one other downtown Chicago wedding I've been to.
JohnsWedding5-14-05_1471.jpg
I cannot find a pic of the one that I think is more the style I want (though I've worn it so much, I don't think I'd wear it again...) It's a black sleeveless sheath, with blue and turquoise embroidery and beading at the hem, linen, classy. It hits about knee length.
ETA: I think the brown one might be good for the rehearsal dinner. But are any of these the right "look"? I do think I want something new - but was just looking for advice like, "Something like the long black one, but more jewelry" or whatever. ;)
CE personally I think either of the top 2 would be fine, if the bottom one is full length could you get it shortened?
Also wow you look different with very short hair!!!
OK, good to know. I hadn't thought about shortening the black one, but that might work. (I also might need to lose a few pounds, but that needs to happen, anyway...) :rotfl:
And yeah. The brown dress was early last August, so the hair was the same as when you saw me. The others were Oct. 04 and May 05, so it's been a while. I kind of love the one at the table -feel very sassy - but I was 5 years younger, then, too. :rotfl2:
CE - I like the Merlot colored one. I don't think it is too short at all! Add a long necklace or a choker.
If you can't find anything you could always just go shopping :thumbsup2
The fire station visit was good, the girls had so much fun as the firemen let them play with the hoses and they all got absolutely soaked, literally like they'd been swimming :rotfl2:
Sounds fun. I could make some other comments, but I'll refrain.
We headed to DLR last night to catch the new fireworks and Fantasmic. OMG, the new fireworks were awesome.
Ooohhh! Sounds nice!
I made it through my Dr. Seigle visit with new drops and an appt. to see him again at the end of Aug. In the realm of Dr. Seigle visits, this is good.
:thumbsup2
Ok, I seriously have to go pack or it's going to be another one of the Joie forgot to pack underwear vacations. Going commando is not my idea of fun.
Oh, hey, on the LGMH thread (Dis'er Spotting!) they're talking about standoffish fokkers. I threw down for y'all.
Have fun. Are you staying DVC in Hilton Head?
I'd like a link, too.
Did yo know that UCLA in in LA? That is actually what one of the reporters said "For those that don't know UCLA is in Los Angeles":lmao:
:lmao:
am in full planning, making things mode for this trip in November.
Did I miss something? What about the October trip at POR for Ip Dip?
I booked our room at POR
CE - I like the first 2 dresses, too. But always love an excuse to buy a new dress.
Got a phone call this morning saying Baby Girl was accepted into the Pre-K program. Pre-K is state funded here and the classes are in the daycare centers, but space is limited and it is a lottery to get in. If you don't get accepted, you have to pay for Private Pre-K or homeschool. Baby Girl has been talking about going to school and has been sooo excited about it, so I'm glad she got in somewhere. I wouldn't have minded the homeschooling, but she would have been disappointed. She is taking speech therapy now - 2 days a week for 30 minutes and she is loving it.
My nephew is coming Monday and will be staying with us through July 8.
Thank you both. :goodvibes
I'm glad she's happy! :)
CE- I think either of the first dresses (I'm leaning towards the first one) are great. Pick up some new trendy type jewelry to dress it up and you have a modern look.
Angela- Holy diamond Batman!
I forget the rest... HI ALL!
******************************
I'm tired. Last night we discussed trying to work on a new schedule so once I start working again we aren't ready to kill each other. KC gets up 1/2 hour before he leaves for work, me not so much. So we are working on it. Also he wants to start a workout program and we heatedly discussed what I can and can't do and when and where he can do this. We'll see what happens.
Today is home made calzone night. Pants took us to dinner so we are doing the calzones today. Got the dough and everything already. I am excited. KC works from 3-midnight from home so prob no PC for me tonight. It's gonna be movies or tv series watching all evening.
have a great friday everyone!!!
