Not much going on here today. I never got to clean the school room the other day...a friend brought her kids over for a bit and I didn't have time. I think I'll work on it today. I know, just as exciting as Wednesday when I said I was going to work on it, right?

I have a few requests from my mom for our trip in March. She'll need to rent an ECV that can be delivered to the resort and picked up at the resort. Anyone know where I can get info on that?

Check out the DISabilities board - I know there are rental places around WDW that are much cheaper than renting at WDW itself.

Also- Mom is only able to eat a few foods. Do most of the resort stores carry yogurt? Does anyone know?

Last question- if there are gators in Bay Lake, how do they keep them from coming up on the beaches?

They don't.

As pete says, "stay out of the damn lakes" yes there are gators, stay out of the water.

Yup - that goes for anywhere in FL. Gators are just part of the scenery here. Leave them alone and they leave you alone! FYI, in my 20+ years of WDW-going, I've yet to actually see a gator. I see them all the time on the golf course behind my house, though. And yes, WDW relocates them to a nature preserve on their property when they reach a certain size - I think 4ft.

Little side story..Jimmy's "move up day" is next Friday. He has been ealking around for 3 days singing..

Morning all! Guess who just got a PIN?!?!

I'll call later to see if I can use it for our MNSSHP weekend; I'm sure the lines are clogged with Free Diners right now.

Leo's off to his dad's again for the weekend. Summer's all sorts of screwy with vacations, etc. I miss him already!

I think I might start tackling home improvement projects again. I literally had projects going for 6 years straight in 3 different homes - I needed a break badly! But it's time to get going again; my poor kitchen and 2nd bath are permanently stuck in 1979.

Here's my dilemma - wanna help? My kitchen has fugly faux-wood cabinets. I can't afford to do anything other than paint them. But what color??? My counters and floor are beige. Fridge and dishwasher are black. Stove is almond and black - I'll consider replacing it with all black if I can find a steal. Walls can be whatever. So what can I paint the cabinets? I'm toying with a sage green - any other ideas?

They definitely do make up names-I remember a castmember had posted a few years ago admitting that they do.

I always write down the names of the castmember and the time I called when I'm making DVC ressies (so I can thank the person by name when I'm done talking to them-otherwise I forget), and some of them are *hysterical*, I'm like, can you spell it? And she was like, probably not but I'll give it a try

We're headed to San Antonio for the girls' dress rehersal and dance recital. They are in 12 dances! It'll be crazy busy. But, it's our last thing with our old friends. I'm really going to miss our dance friends.
At dance Monday the girls on B's team were dancing to a slow song and I started crying. It's really been so wonderful being a part of their team. We got so close to so many girls.

Anyway, we'll be gone until late Saturday. Have a great Friday!!!

No, no, no - never happens at WDW! Really, it's extremely rare that they go after people ANYwhere, but especially not when young (which anything under 4ft is). No worries!

My thoughts on painting the cabinets black are that if you already have black appliances, that's a lot of black...and you're creating a blur of cabinet/appliance. A tuscan yellow would be nice...especially with the red couch. Can you strip the cabinets and stain them? Cherry would look really nice.

to the PIN! And I was going to say black cabinets as well since they are really all the rage at the moment. But if you have a smaller kitchen and black appliances already that will definately be too much black and make it look smaller. I like the idea of a tuscan yellow and Kate's idea of possibly stripping them down and doing a dark cherry/cherry stain.

Dropped my dad and brother off at the airport last night. We weren't even out of the airport area yet when my kids started in on 'I miss Pappy and Uncle Geoff.'

We stopped at a McD's for dinner and then a hometown candy/ice cream store for some sundaes. Yeah...McD's and I did not get along this time either. Next time we go I'm sticking to salads only!

Not much planned today other than heading to the grocery store to pick up a few things. I need to do some laundry as well and hook up the desktop computer. My dad wants me to do a few things for his work while he is away and e-mail a few of his clients so I need to get that hooked up. Hopefully it'll warm up a bit and the rain will hold off so the kids and I can walk down to the park later on. We'll probably just do baths, a movie and bed tonight.

My cuz turned up at 10:30, we stayed up talking too late. She had said she'd kind of like to see the boys off to school, but realizing how early it was (with a 3 y.o. up 'til 11:30) she said she'd see. I poked my head in the guest room at 7:30 and they were all sleeping so peacefully, I couldn't bring myself to wake them.

The upshot is that my kids haven't yet seen them, and both my boys and her DS are sad about that. They headed into their graduation activities at around 10:30, whilst I was volunteering. I therefore went on to Target and got a gift card for the party tomorrow and some other carp.

We will need to leave for the ballgame a little before 5:00, in order to be in the parade around the field, but the actual GAME doesn't start until 7:00 or something, so I definitely do not see us staying for the whole thing, especially if the boys want to try to connect with our company tonight.

But, for now, I'm alone at home, and not too busy, as I cleaned so much before.

I was going to quote, but I'm out of time

Left the house at 8:05am to take Jimmy to school. From there I went to Toys R Us to get a gift for the party tomorrow. Guess what? TRU doesn't open until 10:00 Luckily (or not) there is Wal Mart right next store so i wound up getting the gift in there, a Hulk game and some Bakugan stuff. I also got some Tanks for Jimmy ($3/each), Jimmy and I both some water shooes ($4), and some new socks for me! Also got Jim's sister 2 really cute pair of summer pj's for $10/each). I spent way more money than I intended

From there I stopped and the dollar store (spent $19), then to Rite Aid to get some cards, then to Shop Rite to buy the food for the blocl party tomorrow. Of course they didn't have everything I needed so off to SUperfresh to get the rest. (Jo I thought of you...I bought some Milk Duds). Last stop was CVS to pick up Jimmy's prescription.

Off to finish putting the rest of the stuff away and then start cleaning. I only have about 2 hours before I have to leave to go pick up Jimmy! I'm never gonna get it all done

I have but a small pocket of time today. KC got a call about an hour ago that he has to cover the 3pm-midnight shift, but at least it's from home. That means laptop or nothing for me. I dunno if I have the patience to deal with the crap-top (it's slooooowwww). The plus is he may have coverage for Sunday if the guy is feeling better, so we can go to brunch (which we haven't been able to do in like 6 months since he took weekends) and see UP.

So we are gonna watch movies while he works. We started "Push" and it's real good so far! We have like 75 movies on the hard drive so who knows what else we will end up watching!

This rain is just yucky!

Yes. The last time we had McD's I had a quarter pounder because the pic made it look so good and I was in the mood for a burger. Made me sick. This time around I decided to have a chicken sandwhich thinking it wouldn't be too bad. Yeah right. LOL So yes, I'm sticking to salads and if I get sick from that I'm quitting McD's.

The upshot is that my kids haven't yet seen them, and both my boys and her DS are sad about that.

The kids and I just got back from the library and grocery store. I signed them up for their very own cards and they feel so special now. LOL Filing the little card out though was a PITA. Its like you have to sign your life away just to be able to take a book or movie out. (I completely understand why, but seriously?!?!) I also signed them up for some kind of summer program they are having there. Tomorrow they will watch a movie and I'll get some down time to sit around and read. Sometime next week they'll have a book reading/class on dance. So, I'm sure it'll be a fun time for them...and it's FREE which makes it even better for me. LOL

When we got home I saw our babysitter had called. Her and her husband own a trucking business and its doing really bad right now, heck I think all small businesses are hurting right now, at least in our area. But anyway, she's looking for other things to do in the mean time and is wanting to do babysitting in her home and called and was asking me to write a refernce for her. How the heck do you write a reference? I have never had to do that before. I guess I need to Google it and see what I can find. She's a great babysitter and we love her dearly. She's my best friends mom and I've known her forever and is definintely a second mom to me and grandmother to my kids. I hope she can find something.

So that's about it for us for the day. Lindsey picked out Lady & The Tramp from the librabry so I think we're going to sit down and watch that and have some quiet time. Talk to y'all later.

Had a busy day again !! First I was the morning help at 6am and that was a trip !! Actually they ae pretty independent , just needed to ref. a few spats !! Help with laundry, cook bacon, change beds , help someonechangewho has Dementia ( that is funny but it's not ) Convince a few to brush teeth and excercise always fun activities
Then I had a meeting!! ot out of that to frantic phone call sfrom my Boss , somone was at the ER so off I go and my early day was SHOT !! Anywho( I love that word) I am now home and it is looking good for th evening and Phil has promised to call when he can do my pix !! So her's crossing fingers
