I brought my rat home yesterday. it still kind of stinks because the oils coming out of his skin still. The cats sure thought she smelled good though.

Just popping in for a loud exhale of frustration. I can't catch a freakin break! We have termites, a broken washing machine, and I was just rear ended at the grocery store.

I am SORE!!!! BUT my back is doing better, not great but noticeably better!

I met up with my friend (Cat) and we had some breakfast, went to Times Square, hopped on the subway downtown and went to the West Village for a while. We wandered all around down there and eventually ended up in Washington Square Park. We picked up some cupcake from the Crumbs Bakery and met KC for a cupcake lunch in herald Square by his job. Then we wandered some more. I bought some new flip flops from Old Navy because my feet HURT. She left around 5pm and I went to Borders to read (Skin Trade by Laurell K Hamilton) and wait for KC. After he got off work we came home and ordered soem cinese food for dinner and passed out!

Apparently I got sunburned too, on my neck and upper chest. My legs are really sore, i feel like i ran a marathon. So today I am relaxing, making some easy marinated chicken and spending a lot of time on the couch with my DS.

I have to get Cat to send me the pics but I took a few....
I'll post once they are uploaded.

David had his neurology appointment today and the general consensus os migraines, he still wants him to have another MRI scan so that's good

It's not the guys in here that are using it. It is all the guys from the shop that are walking up the stairs through the break room and down the hallway to use the women's bathroom. During that they pass two men's restrooms. I asked the other engineers why they are doing that and they said probably because it is quiet in there and they can't be found.

We sometimes time them and one stayed in there for 30 minutes. I think he was napping.

After I posted the note I saw a man whom I did not know go in there. I jumped out of my seat and starting running to the door yelling "OH NO HE DIDN'T". My manager had to stop me to tell me he was the new janitor and he was just cleaning it.

I got all dressed after studying this morning. I got my computer packed up, and my extra shoes for work. I drove to the property management place to drop off the rent checks. I was going to drive downtown and park and go to class, then drive to work. As i got downtown, i was looking for a spot. I pulled up to a stop light and my dash starts smoking! The last time it did that, my mom and i hooked my battery in backwards. "oh s***!" i shouted and turned off my car. I didnt want to to go up in flames. (I know i overreact) I immeadiatly call AAA and push my car across the street to the side. Good thing there are so many helpful people in Davis. about 20 people offered to help. So the tow truck gets there and the guy practically laughs at me when i tell him what happened. He asked me to turn my car on. i did. nothing happened. Phew! and then he followed me home to make sure nothing happened. Im thinking it was just a fuse, but electrical scares the begeezes out of me.

So now im home, i didnt make it to class and i have work in an hour. Should i drive my car to work? Hmmm....very tempting because it saves an hour total on the bus and walking, and its a 4 minute drive.

Apparently the girl didn't listen to me that I wanted shorter bangs, btu i couldn't tell then because of the way it was styled. I'll be trimming them myself prob tomorrow. It's a bit short in the back but I'm dealing with it.

Well, I got everything vacuumed, dusted, the kitchen stainless cleaned... Things look good! Nothing's mopped yet, but the kids are home, so I may as well wait to do that after they're in bed - it's not noisy, and if I mop now, they'll just mess it up somehow before bed.

I still need to clean the tubs, but that's easy.

The neighbor girl came over, and they were all playing outside, which was ideal - I finished vacuuming and didn't have anyone yelling at me that it was too loud or whatnot. But now they're inside, in the boys' room. I gave hugely stern warnings, but I have a feeling that the cleaning up we did yesterday (and my vacuuming just now) may be really wasted. My cousin's 3-y.o. son will be sleeping in there on an air bed, so I NEED it clean.

Sigh.

I don't know what to do for dinner. I don't really want to let them pick, the way I usually do when D's not around, because I don't feel like making one thing for Woody (likely mac & cheese), one for Buzz (spaghetti and frozen meatballs), and something for me, too, but I don't want to cook a full meal, either.

Maybe sandwiches, or maybe breakfast for dinner... Except that the school serves breakfast for lunch on Wed., so they had pancakes for lunch.

Hmmm.

I'd better go think about this. BBL!

Evening All ! Busy Day again!! Had yet another Training !! No SEX this time !! I did sit next to the same Gal though and she says they are still laughing about me in that class !! Another Gal said "Are you gonna behave today"" Who me I says !!!!
Anywho This was on Disabilitties Awareness !! One of the clips they showed was really shocking !!!! A person in a wheelchair goes to visit a Jail (they didn't say why) One of the Guards / Policeofficers literally deliberately tipped him out of the wheelchair while others did nothing and 1 laughed !! This was all caught on their video !! The person and it looked like a female got 5 years for assault !! They actually searched him on the floor !! I guess when he couldn't stand to be searched they tipped him out of the chair !! Absolutely Unbelievable !!It is now Law that Police agencies etc have this training !! I believe it was in Texas !!!

I am happily washing clothes again with my gently used washer.

It's a Kenmore that someone took back to Sears and Sears couldn't figure out what was wrong. The man I purchased from gets these "unrepairables" from major stores and actually repairs them. The one I got had a pair of underwear that somehow escaped the tub to clog up a pipe....that was all that was wrong with it.

Good News the PI finally forced my exSIL to take the divorce papers!! He stood on his porch and refused to leave till he came out and took them !!He called Judy and said he wanted joint custody, she laughed and said it will never happen!!!She has proffessional counsellors who are itching to put a stop to that at best he will get supervised visitation !!!and then he will have to go for rehab counselling etc etc !! Which ain't gonna happen !! Kyle does no want to see him so it's all good !!!This is what drugs and alcohol does to you!! You loose everything !!

im so glad you guys killed the thread!

i sometimes feel like ill never catch up, but this time was quick!

I just wasted 3 hours trying to fix the brake lights on my car. I found out the smoke was just from a blown fuse. my dad told me that mine will smoke alot, which it did, but then stopped. I replaced most of my fuses. i replaced my side mirror. my only outside mirror. Last summer i was adjusting it and the glass just fell out. I finally got around to buying a new one. it got here today and it took about 3 seconds to switch out. thats what procrastination does. Then i changed my housings and light bulbs in my tail lights. Now i have new housings and light bulbs, but my brake lights still arent working! I need to take it to the shop to get a valve adjustment and ill just tell them to fix it. I give up!

Now that i wasted 3 hours im off to go study for my 2 lab finals tomorrow!

I wasted a huge amount of the evening playing Lego Star Wars, but hey. I'm done with the house stuff, so I guess it doesn't matter - and there was certainly nothing I wanted to watch on TV.

He was skinned then stuffed and we pinned them to a board to dry. All of the natural oil in his skin as to dry out which can sometimes take a while. The cardboard that we had them pinned on was absorbing some of it. Right now i have it wrapped in newspaper, but soon ill move it to the other room and et it start to air out. It shouldnt stink forever though, the specmen we work with in class dont smell. unless it was 50 years old and they had dipped it in arenic True situation!

LORI posted a sad story on pg. 50, #742. That is just horrible. I can’t even begin to imagine their grief.

ANGELA is getting a new Dyson vacuum. She posted pics from her trip on pg. 50, #748 Very nice.

CE is still prepping for this weekend’s activities. Lots of cleaning going on.

DEB has to share the ladies room with some pigs. She had to post instructions and a threat. She nearly accosted the janitor she didn’t know. Let us know how that works. I’ve been scolding and threatening Doug for years. Fockers I think we should elect Deb as the Official TFW Toilet Monitor.

V found out that the summer camp people aren’t very organized. She is thinking of renting a horse. Pretty soon she’ll be rustlin’ steers.

JO said David’s neurologist says he is just having migraines. They will do another MRI just to make sure. I do hope that is all it is. Migraines are bad enough.

CEL BEL is offering lessons on wildlife. She thought her car was going up in flames today. She brought home her stuffed rat. Some how I just can’t get all warm and fuzzy about that.

KICKAPOO JJ has to save the best (Fockers) for last when she is catching up on all her threads.

KAT had a nice jaunt around NYC. She posted some pics above. She got a bit sunburned and is a little sore. She took it easy Wednesday. I love your hair Kat. You know how much I like to see pics of NYC.

ROSIE had training on disability awareness today. They watched a shocking video. She said Judy’s ex finally got served. for Judy.

Morning, everyone!

It's a lovely day here this morning, which is nice. I couldn't fall asleep last night (though I slept fine once I finally did), but I know I was awake around 2:00. Sigh.

I have fun tennis this morning (that should be interesting, in my current state of daze) and then I need to go to the grocery store to stock up for company. I have to leave early for tennis, though - I meant to go out and get gas yesterday, but honestly never left the house. There's only one gas station on the way to the gym, but it's full-serve, and the guy who works there is creepy. So, I'm going to drive out of the way to go to my usual one.

I don't know when my cousin will turn up. They spent last night in NJ at her DH's sister's house, but I don't know where in NJ she lives - they just moved there about a year ago. D counts on a 5 hour drive from where he goes to train, but that's right up north near NYC. And D drives fast and knows where he's going.

At any rate, I really don't know if they were planning on getting up early and getting going, if they were hanging around in NJ for a bit, or what. Her DH's sis and BIL are both doctors, so it's possible that they might not have to be working, but who knows? They have a bunch of kids, and I can't remember if T2 says they're still in school in NJ or not.

Except for the grocery shopping, I'm ready, but she said she'd call either last night or this morning, and of course I'm going to be out. I don't really hear my phone at tennis class, so I could be in for a surprise when I'm done.

I'm sorry - I'm babbling AND I need to get going. I hope everyone has a good day. Depending on when they really get here, I could be back if they're not here until evening, or I might be a little MIA if they come in the early p.m.
