Wow! Slow day!

Looks like everyone is doing well.

Janet's picture looks great!

Kat can you feel the Focker love????? :lovestruc

I was going to place an order with Garden Grocer but Rockie says she is packing some snacks and just wants water. There is a $40 minimum for the GG so I guess I'll just ship the water ahead with the other things I had already planned on shipping. Dang, that means I have to go back to Wallyworld and Dollar Tree tomorrow and it's Friday. :scared1:

Love and hugs to you all!!!!!!! I may not be on tomorrow as I will be super busy getting everything organized for WDW - again.

Hi fellow DISers!

Well I just wanted to poke my head in. I have been on the board for a few now. I think I am now ready for the community board. I have heard about Team Focker on the boards before but I wasn't sure what it was. Now I know and I just love the idea! I can't wait to try it out in Dec.
I may have met some of you in May! :goodvibes at a dole whip meet. I think englishrose is here somewhere? I met her at the dole whip meet. Well just want to say hello and I hope I can stop by more often. Have a magical day!

Welcome! Rosie is indeed here. :) We're a friendly bunch - a little crazy, but a great support group for each other. ;) I'm CE, a SAHM (for at least another month, I've applied to substitute teach) with 2nd grade twin boys, I live in NH, and my DH is a corporate pilot.

**************************************************************************
Morning, all!

Not much going on here today. D should be home mid afternoon. I am playing some friendly tennis with my friend for maybe an hour at noon. We were supposed to be a foursome playing doubles, but I hear the other two are bailing. I was pleased that they asked me to play this week - they're all on the team above me, so I felt that I must not have sucked too bad last week if they wanted me back. :rotfl:

I think I need the grocery store after that, but that's about it. I had a weird sleeping night again last night, so I think I may actually head back to bed for a bit. D will be wiped when he gets home (they were leaving at 5:00 a.m.), so I need to be prepared to be in charge all evening, which would certainly go better if I get some more sleep.

Have a good one - I'll check back later!

Hi and welcome! Is this the Dole Whip Meet on May 16th you are talking about? If so you would have met me there as well. :goodvibes Welcome to the Fockers!

I'm Lessa, 26 year old full-time student and part-time emergency operator. I don't get to posting on this thread as much as I would like to but you know how that goes sometimes.

Everybody here is really friendly so don't feel. shy!

Hi fellow DISers!
Hi Ingrid, as the others have said we're a very friendly bunch so just join in the chat and tell us some more about you :goodvibes I'm Jo a 36y/o SAHM from England, I'm also an avid golfer so not only do I spell all my words funny I also bore you with golf stuff :rotfl2: Oh I'm also very lucky to be on the Disney World Moms Panel!

I played rubbish today, like really bad, David was walking round and I just always feel as though he's judging me :headache: Anyway he knows I'm not happy :rotfl2:

:welcome: to WeloveMickey!!!

I'm Mel. I'm a SAHM with two boys, 12 and 16. My dh, NotBob, works for the auto industry here in Michigan. He's NotBob because his name isn't Bob.....

We are leaving for WDW in two weeks (or so...) with a few other members here at TFW. Can't wait!

*******************
Howdy all. I did read, but was too lazy to quote. Getting up at 5:30 is killing me! I've been back to bed all but one morning, and that's messing with my daylight hours. :confused3

Today is NotBob's "unofficial" day off. I say unofficial because he's not PAID for it, but for some reason he's always working. Grrrrrrr.
I'm doing laundry now that the washer is fixed. It cost $184 to fix it, but really what price happiness? LOL I hate the laundramat.

Have a wonderful day. I'm off to the Post office with NotBob.

Because he's not working.

:rolleyes1

Jo, you ever see the America's Funniest Home Videos? You know, where the "coach" is giving (probably unwanted) advice to the golfer and the swing goes back JUST A BIT too far and :scared1::scared1::scared1:

Just sayin....:rolleyes1:rolleyes1:rolleyes1

Hi fellow DISers!

Hi Ingrid!

I'm T, a SAHM of DD7 and DS5 and my DH is Andy. We live in So. Cal. Welcome to the funky bunch.:goodvibes

Good Morning, Fockers :wave2:

Busy morning here. I'm paying bills, which makes me . I hate when the stores want you to pay for the things you've purchased. The NERVE! :snooty: ;)

Anyway, I've got a PTA meeting in a few and then I'm off to find new dishes for the new kitchen. I got some cute things yesterday, so I'm thinking we'll be reeeeeeeeeally done this weekend. Can't wait for you all to see it!

Have a great FRIDAY!!! :flower3:

Hi fellow DISers!
Hello! I saw your TR title and had to see what it was all about. I subbed but I have to warn you. I am waaaay behind on my TR reading. Well, my name is Debra and I am a mother to 4 wonderful kids and 1 really bad one :rotfl: I am also an engineer for the time being **Warning - see vent below**

I was going to place an order with Garden Grocer but Rockie says she is packing some snacks and just wants water. There is a $40 minimum for the GG so I guess I'll just ship the water ahead with the other things I had already planned on shipping. Kristel, you reminded me that I need to be taking care of some of these items for our December weekend trip. I am used to driving and just bringing everything with us. We are flying this time and not wanting to pay $15 for an extra bag.

Today is NotBob's "unofficial" day off. I say unofficial because he's not PAID for it, but for some reason he's always working. Grrrrrrr.
Grrrr Indeed
I'm doing laundry now that the washer is fixed. It cost $184 to fix it, but really what price happiness? LOL I hate the laundramat.
I think my washer is the one appliance I could NOT live without. Glad yours is fixed :goodvibes

Don't forget you still owe us pictures. (or did I miss them?)

+++++++++++++++++++++++++

This new engineering department has been a roller coaster for me. Last week it started bad but then got better. This week started good and now is really bad. He asked me what I thought about working extra hours from home as needed to help the dept get caught up. I told him I would love that idea because I know we could use the money. He asked about the evenings, on my off day, and on weekends and again on an as needed basis.

Then he comes back from talking to HR and says it is all worked out and that I will be going back to fulltime. I was like WTH did I just agree to? I thought it would be working extra hours, at home, as needed. He's talking about 45-50 hours per week - EVERY WEEK!! I have come to rely on my day off. It is a great time to book dentist appointments, parent-teacher conferences, doctor visits, eat lunch with the kids and sometimes just to get caught up on housework, etc.

Now I feel like I am being pushed into taking this fulltime job. With so many people out of work and looking for employment I am reserved about just saying "no". Don't get me wrong, we could use the money. But they have to understand that my family will always come first and I am afraid that with me being fulltime they will expect me to give my first fruits to the company which I will not do.

And the whole time he is telling me how important my role is here and how the department needs my 'expertise' in a fulltime capacity he is delivering me discreet insults. Its just driving me nuts! :headache:

***VENT OVER***
On the bright side

the kids have their first official football games this weekend. :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:
A couple of birthday parties :bday: :bday:
And a lot of :laundy:

What is everyone else doing?

I played rubbish today, like really bad, David was walking round and I just always feel as though he's judging me :headache: Anyway he knows I'm not happy :rotfl2:

Howdy all. I did read, but was too lazy to quote. Getting up at 5:30 is killing me! I've been back to bed all but one morning, and that's messing with my daylight hours. :confused3

I went back to bed myself today, and yep, I feel like my day is all discombobulated.

Anyway, I've got a PTA meeting in a few and then I'm off to find new dishes for the new kitchen. I got some cute things yesterday, so I'm thinking we'll be reeeeeeeeeally done this weekend. Can't wait for you all to see it!

I can't wait, either!

And the whole time he is telling me how important my role is here and how the department needs my 'expertise' in a fulltime capacity he is delivering me discreet insults. Its just driving me nuts! :headache:

Oh, honey. I'm sorry.

**************************************************
As I said, I went back to bed. I got up in time to have a little time before going to tennis. As I was grabbing my grocery list to go afterward, I found Woody's homework on the island. :headache: I felt like (even more than for him, to look like a responsible parent who makes a kid do his homework :rotfl:) I'd better take it to school, so I was a tad late for tennis. Luckily, it was just my friend and I, and she didn't care. We just practiced and had fun, then I went to the store. Got home and showered - have a new incarnation of the hair cut, which may be a little too Meg Ryan, but it's pretty cute - and then the boys pretty much got home off the bus.

They want our neighbor to come over for our "pizza and movie" night, and I think that will work out. D is at his office, but not home yet.

And that's really my day. I'm still sleepy - it's 60 and rainy - but one of us will have to go get food. I've picked up a little since the kid's coming over, but frankly his house is usually much worse than this, so I'm not too concerned. ;)

Hope you're all having a nice Friday! :grouphug:

Well I survived my first week of classes, wasn't too hard as they haven't actually started to teach us anything except for in Chemistry.

Good news/comforting to know is that in previous years every single person in the Pre-Health class who got the minimum required 2.8 GPA (75%) was given a place in the Nursing program which only has 70 seats. That made me a bit nervous before but now I feel better about. I of course am aiming to get much higher than a 2.8 in order to be extra competitive.

Now I get to work all weekend. It should be "fun" seeing as how it is Frosh week at the university. I expect a lot of medical assist calls for drunk students.

WHAT that's ridiculous, way too many hours. Here a full time job is 36 hours!

Fantastic Lessa :thumbsup2

I am getting so many PM's from people reading my TR, wonder why :rotfl:

Just a quick hello. Spent all day getting the house back to normal and now I plan to vege out on the couch for a while. Last night KC went to see a couple we know who were having marital problems and he helped them out, I think it helped him a little too. She told him to keep an open mind and give me a chance to change. Who knows. Tomorrow we are going to Long Island for a wedding, I'm hoping the sappy factor helps too.

Have a good weekend I won't be back around till Sunday!

Love you all!!!!!:hug::hug:

Welcome Ingrid!

I'm Z, 30 yr old mother to 3 furbabies :cats: and work at a hospital as an admissions clerk for the ER. You'll love it here :goodvibes :grouphug:

Janet- You and Michelle looked great! Miss you kiddo!

I miss you all tons. I know I keep popping in saying that, but really I do. We finally think we know what was going on with the DIS on my computer and we are bringing it into Apple tomorrow to try to fix. I hope to be able to log on more often, really soon! (I'm on DH's work laptop).

I do have something to share with all of you- My DH had forgotten our 11th anniversary.:mad: It's not for a few weeks, but he just asked if he could attend a fraternity gathering that night. I'm not about to remind him. I'm just plain hurt at him. :sad1:

I've been busy getting the kids back to school this week and am proud to announce that I will get a kid break 3x a week whist TINK is at preK. Yippee!:cool1:

Hugs to you all! I'll try to hop again on soon!
