I didn't say much about it before vacation because I didn't want to think about it.
Oh Mel - I know we're not supposed to be thinking about it (a philosophy to which I also subscrube!), but I need to give you this!
Little Kinzee Faith...supposed faker Kinzee Faith...is not doing so hot.
I'm sorry Jen. And feeling rather guilty about laughing yesterday.
good news is...Dr. hottie called. I'm not sure about him yet...we have a lot of "differences"...need more phone calls. He wants to go out when I get back to Albuquerque next week.
Yay! Okay, I'm clearly going to need to broach the subject of finding dates on here soon. No joke, I've had NO interested parties in 5 years... what am I doing wrong?!?!?
It was Alabaster Skin Barbie's birthday and the Dr. gave her a Botox session. When she came out, I told her she looked like someone hit her in the forehead with a paintball gun!
Oh no you di'int?!?
Just had to share my good news with all of my Focker friends. I got an email from Air Tran today telling me that my flight schedule had changed for our October trip to WDW.
Wooo hooo!
Good Morning all. At work where they have already told us we are getting out early

Only 2 hours early, but it's better than nothing
Lucky Janet! I've heard no such news at my office... and my boss is out so I'm manning the ship in the midst of chaos in the press (we handle PR).
Dawn: I know you're not online, but I'll be gone before you get back here, so, hope the recovery is quick and easy!

Well Fockers, my very favorite holiday is quickly approaching! And since I won't be near a computer tomorrow, I'll share my love for the 4th with you today. (I know - you can barely contain your excitement.

)
WHY I LOVE INDEPENDENCE DAY...
I'm one of the most patriotic people I know. Which is often surprising to those who know my stand on some major, and minor, issues: I tend toward the left of the political spectrum; I'm staunchly pro-gun control; I'm atheist and a firm supporter of separation of church and state; I think the position of President is merely a figurehead role, and it's unlikely we'll ever get someone who really knows what they're doing in there - ditto for most of congress; I love France; I think we have one of the ugliest flags in the world; I think what we've done to the English language is an abomination; I hate BBQ and am only wishy-washy on apple pie. And I prefer cats to dogs.
But here's why I love my country: I get to say all of those things. Out loud. In print. Without fear of persecution. I'm not only allowed to be critical of my elected leaders - my governing document
charges me with this task! And I love that I can be, and am, friends with people whose views are completely different than my own.
I sure don't think we're the ideal nation, and I think we still have a LOT of work to do around here. But tomorrow, when I pull my dog-eared and coffee stained copy of the Consitution out for my annual reading, I'll be reminded that the best thing about the United States of America is the ability we have as citizens to bring about change through our words, our actions and our votes.
So tomorrow I'll hoist my colours, despite not being a fan of the red, white & blue combo, and take a day off from stressing over what we're doing wrong as a nation. The 4th is my day to think about all the things we've gotten right and about the good things yet to come. THAT's what I love about Independence Day.
Well, that and fireworks. V loves things that go "BANG!"
Happy 4th all!
