Yay! :banana: BUT I'm confused... I thought you cancelled that trip?? :confused3

I think you've got me confused with Ed. She cancelled her Ip-Dip trip. We've been scheduled to go since last year. My DD has fall break that week and we were planning to go before we even knew Buzz and Linnie would be there. We figured out that our trips overlapped when we met him in December. There's no way I'm cancelling this trip. We're DVC, so the room is already paid for and so is the airline. All we have to worry about is food... and who needs to eat, right?? :lmao:

-------------------

Let's see...

V - although we'd probably not agree on much, I do agree that our country is awesome because it allows us to disagree and express that disagreement! I've been following a lot of what's going on in Zimbabwe right now because my neighbors were originally supposed to go there this summer, and I'm just flabbergasted at the things going on over there. Makes you much more thankful that you live where you live, kwim? Even if you don't agree with what the government is doing, at least you have the freedom to express your disagreement! :cheer2:

We don't have any solid plans for the fourth. We live right by a living history museum that has symphony concerts every weekend in the summer. This week, they have their patriotic concerts, ending with the 1812 overture and fireworks. While we're not close enough to hear the music (except when the wind is blowing just right), we can definitely see the fireworks over the trees. It's four nights in a row (starting last night), so we'll probably watch them all weekend. We also have friends with a pool, so we'll probably go over there for a cookout/swimming party. Also, the other dads in our cul-de-sac always have a fireworks competition (i think it's a man thing), so we'll probably sit out there and see who has the best stuff! :yay: I just have to remember to give the dog his doggy tranquilizers. :rotfl:

Hi all, it's Jo in disguise :rotfl2: I'm on the other PC and it's Jess' username and I couldn't be bothered to log out/in!

I didn't say much about it before vacation because I didn't want to think about it.
Mel you know we're here for you to vent, worry etc :hug:

good news is...Dr. hottie called. I'm not sure about him yet...we have a lot of "differences"...need more phone calls. He wants to go out when I get back to Albuquerque next week.
Keep us posted!

Did you make the poor girls sing that goofy song again:sad2:
They didn't sing that one :sad: :lmao:

Jo Bury it is!!and Steph is a DGD !!! :lmao: The pets are Snoopy. Slick & Shadow !!
OK :rotfl:

She even gave me the "FOCKER" today when I told her I thought hand counting inventory was moronic! :rotfl:
So she laughs at them all behind their backs too :rotfl2:

::yes:: you read that right... she married her BF's dad! :lmao:
OMG :rotfl:

Just had to share my good news with all of my Focker friends. I got an email from Air Tran today telling me that my flight schedule had changed for our October trip to WDW.
That's great :yay:

WHY I LOVE INDEPENDENCE DAY...
It's good to be proud, over here it's getting silly, people being banned from flying the Union Jack as it might offend :mad: I'm sorry but if you choose to come and live in Britain bloody well abide by our laws!!!! Sorry :rotfl2:

Had a lovely day at the golf, saw lots of big names like Montgomerie, Poulter, Garcia, I was a bit late picking Ellie up from school as I lost my car in the carpark :rotfl: They added more cars to the end of the rows so it looked in a different place!

Oh and Flat Rosie is in England :yay: I'll take some photos when I'm on my laptop!

Unfortunately yes OR I could get a facial with silk peel. I think I'll opt for the silk peel. We are having a Botox party on the 23rd. Should be interesting... I can't WAIT for that day! Dangnabit! Wish I could sneak some pics!:rotfl:

So here's the story on my new "friend" at work. She's 34, her DH is 54. They met when she was 21 and he was 41. Her step-daughter used to be her BF. ::yes:: you read that right... she married her BF's dad! :lmao: I told her we needed to go to Happy Hour so I could get the whole story! :teeth:

I think I'd opt for the silk facial as well. And :lmao: about the 'friend' at work. That is just ewwwwwww

I looooove that movie. And I use that line all the time.

I have a friend (who shall remain nameless) who is dating a somewhat older fellow! and she hates it when I quote Adam on her! ;)

That's a great quote!

Just had to share my good news with all of my Focker friends. I got an email from Air Tran today telling me that my flight schedule had changed for our October trip to WDW.

Instead of arriving at 6:43pm, we're now arriving at 2:56PM!!!! That means almost four more hours at my happy place!

I just had to share my excitement with people who understand. Normally DH would be excited too, but he's more excited about the new HD satellite service we got today! :headache: Every time I tried to explain to him that we had four more hours at Disney, he would respond with... "can you believe how clear this picture is? This is awesome!" Men.... I just don't get it....:confused3 :lmao:

:woohoo: on the flight times! More time in Disney is ALWAYS a good thing.

And men...:rolleyes:

Good Morning all. At work where they have already told us we are getting out early:woohoo:Only 2 hours early, but it's better than nothing:thumbsup2
After I leave here I have to go food shopping to get all the stuff we need for a BBQ tomorrow.

What are everyone's plans for the holiday weekend?

:banana: on getting out early!

Yay! Okay, I'm clearly going to need to broach the subject of finding dates on here soon. No joke, I've had NO interested parties in 5 years... what am I doing wrong?!?!?

I'm right there with ya V.

Well Fockers, my very favorite holiday is quickly approaching! And since I won't be near a computer tomorrow, I'll share my love for the 4th with you today. (I know - you can barely contain your excitement. :rolleyes: )

WHY I LOVE INDEPENDENCE DAY...

Happy 4th all! :grouphug:

I too, don't share many of the same views as you, but what you said was wonderful and are truly right and do have me thinking on a few topics. Thanks for sharing that!

And Happy 4th of July to you! Hope you have a wonderful stay in the Motherland!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
And good morning to everyone!
The kids and I are making cupcakes and cheesecake today. This should be fun!:laughing: We are going to my aunt's tomorrow for a cookout and we were asked to bring dessert. We might be going to see fireworks tonight if it doesn't rain.
I've been trying to get this thing posted since 10:30 but between the kids and my best friend calling me every 5 minutes it looks like I'm going to have a busy day!
The ex finally called his kids last night. I swear it's like he has this sense that when I talk about him and complain he does exactly what I was complining about. Of course I get excuses given to me out the wahzoo about why he couldn't call. :rolleyes: Whatever dude...you keep telling yourself this and maybe someone will believe you.
But he dropped a bomb on me last night. He'll be in town from July 21-Aug 4 and wants the kids during this time. OK...no problem I'll ship them to you the only thing I have a problem with is the girlfriend that is coming with him. He's been in Kosovo for a year and hasn't seen or spent time with his kids for a year (except for 3 days at the end of March) and now they have to have their time split between him and him giving the girlfriend attention. It drives me freaking batty! I e-mailed my attorney to see if some boundries can be set up for this visit and she said 'We can try.' So hopefully something can be done. Pray that something can be done.
So once again...trying to get this thing posted and it's now almost noon. I swear my time is flying by today!
Hope everyone has a good day though!
I didn't say much about it before vacation because I didn't want to think about it. When I saw Dr. Seigle the week before we left he said that (in normal people words) the hole he cut into my right eye is closed up. If it is scarred on the outside part, he can needle it in the office and I'll have a week or two of no swimming, lifting or bending. If it's middle or inside scarring, I will be in surgery again. They can't reopen the existing hole, so they need to cut a new one. Without doing it the pressure will just continue to increase until I lose all vision. And as you guys know, I don't have any to lose.
I'm scared out of my mind. It's a huge surgery. I swore I'd die last time. I really don't want to do it again. Maybe it will be good news though. I'm seeing him on July 22nd for the needling.
:sad2:
MEL
Mel I just found this! heres a :hug: for everything going your way and the Disney Magic is still with you...sounds like Star Wars! "may the Magic be with you" :lmao:
I only had the spacers for a week. I got both upper and lower braces about 2.5 weeks ago. :teeth:
:thumbsup2 I remember now! How are they going??
Jess---the language! :eek: But really---it's politically incorrect to fly the nation's flag? That's ridiculous!
Now, many in these parts fly the confederate rebel flag, and I think that is certainly not PC, but the US flag should always be flown. (In TX--the TX flag is always flown too, but not so much in VA--we kinda have a crappy state flag).
And Jess---did u write UK/England on purpose? If you lived in Wales, would you write UK/Wales???
I hope things get worked out. Have the kids met the GF yet or will this be the first time?
WOW.. At least for now.. I have more Posts than JO :woohoo: :rotfl2:
:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
Lori---hope it works out with your kids. Let me know if you need a teenager or a puppy during that time! (he's eating toilet paper right now.....and barking at it. :sad2: )
Mel---wow, sorry about your eyes.:hug:
Jodi--that's great about your flight!!
Dawn---we're thinking about you!!:hug:
HAven't received word from K yet have you Katt. I will be here until about 2:45 eastern time. So make sure you post if you get the PM amd I am not online!
Hi Fockers,
Any word from Dawn's DH?
V - love the post, and I think that we are all so different makes things better, how boring if we all thought the same. For the record I consider myself an independent (this whole 2 party thing just doesn't work, too much keeping score going on, if YKWIM), but I am pretty conservative. I do feel patriotic, heck I'm the one that makes sure her sunglasses are on at Football games cause I get chocked up at the Anthem, yes I'm a sap, (but not when Roseanne Barr is singing it). It's funny, driving to work today I was thinking how lucky I am to live where I do. Actually what I was thinking, here I am a single woman and I can go to the airport hop on a plane to my happy place all by myself. There are alo of places in this world I couldn't do that.
T - you have to sneak pics for us, maybe during the Botox party:lmao:
Jodi - that's great, totally get the excitement of 4 extra hours in your happy place
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

So guess who I had words with this morning, yep witchy poo, God, I can't stand that woman:mad: , I soooo can't wait for this transistion period to be over!!!!!

Anywho, glad the long week end is here and I can't wait to get out of here!!!!!

I tend to hover somewhere in the middle, finding myself less of a Liberal than I initially thought.
::yes:: It's funny how as I age, I get closer and closer to middle. I've even found myself right of center on an issue or two! This from the self-professed "Communist" in high school. I still believe the essential dictates of communism are ideal (NOT what the USSR called communism, but actual communal living), but I no longer believe the "ideal" can happen. I don't know if I'm more realistic than I once was, or more pessimistic, but I just don't have a lot of faith in humans being nice to one another anymore. :sad1:

I've been following a lot of what's going on in Zimbabwe right now because my neighbors were originally supposed to go there this summer, and I'm just flabbergasted at the things going on over there.
OMG, I've had to stop reading about the situation there becuase I keep balling my eyes out! It's so hard to watch basic human rights denied and not be able to do anything about it. :guilty:

It's good to be proud, over here it's getting silly, people being banned from flying the Union Jack as it might offend :mad:
No WAY?!?! I'm stunned, just stunned. Why on earth would it be politically incorrect to fly the flag of one's country?

Speaking of flags I'm not fond of... the Union Jack doesn't do it for me, either! France either - I really have a problem with red, white & blue! Note that this has NOTHING to do with politics or symbolism... remember me? The art historian? It's ALL about aesthetics. :rotfl: So what flags do I find aesthetically pleasing?

Ireland. Italy, too. Good use of complementary colours.
Canada's pretty good, as is Jamaica.
But my favorite national flag? Japan. What can I say - I'm a minimalist!

He'll be in town from July 21-Aug 4 and wants the kids during this time. OK...no problem I'll ship them to you the only thing I have a problem with is the girlfriend that is coming with him.
This is so hard. :hug: My idiot ex remarried and never told me! Not that I cared personally, but our 2yo DS was visiting with him every other weekend - you'd think a new wife might be something I should know about! :sad2:

how boring if we all thought the same.
::yes:: ITA!
I get chocked up at the Anthem, yes I'm a sap, (but not when Roseanne Barr is singing it).
:rotfl2: Whenever I hear it sung poorly (which is often of course), I have to laugh... only the US would come up with a national anthem only the very best singers can possibly belt out properly! Striving to be overachievers from the start, we were. ;)

Men and their toys! I'm lucky if when the word Disney is mentioned I get any attention...usually its just the glazed look.

I have a house full of boys (Mine and sleepovers) and I'm making Belgian Waffles when they wake up. Topped with strawberries and whipped cream (that's fatfree coolwhip for me and ds though.)

Sounds yummy!!!! I need a waffle maker cause I love 'em! I also need a bigger kitchen but thats besides the point!

WHY I LOVE INDEPENDENCE DAY...

Well said!!!! :goodvibes

Oh and Flat Rosie is in England :yay: I'll take some photos when I'm on my laptop!

Hooray for Flat Rosie! I can't wait to see the faces of the waitstaff at Biergarten when we all whip out our flat focker friends! :rotfl:

The kids and I are making cupcakes and cheesecake today. This should be fun!:laughing: We are going to my aunt's tomorrow for a cookout and we were asked to bring dessert. We might be going to see fireworks tonight if it doesn't rain.

So once again...trying to get this thing posted and it's now almost noon. I swear my time is flying by today!

Hope everyone has a good day though!

Good luck with everything!!! And since i am all about new recipes- what kind of cupcakes and cheesecake are ya makin'?

So guess who I had words with this morning, yep witchy poo, God, I can't stand that woman:mad: , I soooo can't wait for this transistion period to be over!!!!!

Did you lay the smack down on her?? How soon till you don't have to deal with her at all???

So whats the word on Dawn??? :hug:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Gonna do plenty of cooking today, its been the theme of the week! Our friend Ricky is coming to stay over tonight, he's moving back to Miami this Sunday so we are stealing him for the night and feeding him some slow cooked ribs (his fav). And I am going to make some muffins this afternoon, for tomorrow's breakfast so I have less work tomorrow. I think L & D are coming by tomorrow and we are going to walk down to the Verrazano Bridge and see what fireworks we can see (I''ll take pics).
I'll be poppin' in and out today dependsing on what KC & Rickey end up doing (prob playing video games, which leaves me the pc) and to check about Dawn.
Have a great day everyone!!!
Hi Fockers,
:wave2: Hi Mo!
Any word from Dawn's DH?
Not yet. He is under strict orders to PM both Katt and I!
So guess who I had words with this morning, yep witchy poo, God, I can't stand that woman:mad: , I soooo can't wait for this transistion period to be over!!!!!
What is her problem!
But my favorite national flag? Japan. What can I say - I'm a minimalist!
I don't know why but this made giggle:laughing:
This is so hard. :hug: My idiot ex remarried and never told me! Not that I cared personally, but our 2yo DS was visiting with him every other weekend - you'd think a new wife might be something I should know about! :sad2:
Are you kidding me? How long was he merried before you found out? I would have been furious!
::yes:: ITA!
:rotfl2: Whenever I hear it sung poorly (which is often of course), I have to laugh... only the US would come up with a national anthem only the very best singers can possibly belt out properly! Striving to be overachievers from the start, we were. ;)
The cheesecake sounds yummy, what flavour? I can't imagine what it must be like to have an ex requesting stuff :hug:
WOW.. At least for now.. I have more Posts than JO :woohoo: :rotfl2:
Oh Katt :rotfl2:
Nothng yet.. Still waiting on that PM. from Kurt
Hope it's all going well!
Jess---the language! :eek: But really---it's politically incorrect to fly the nation's flag? That's ridiculous!
I know I'll wash her mouth out :rotfl2: And yep it is so stupid!!!
And Jess---did u write UK/England on purpose? If you lived in Wales, would you write UK/Wales???
I don't know I'll ask her :rotfl2:
I have heard of Montgomerie:thumbsup2
:thumbsup2
:rotfl2: at losing the car!
Hey :headache: :rotfl2:
So guess who I had words with this morning, yep witchy poo, God, I can't stand that woman:mad: , I soooo can't wait for this transistion period to be over!!!!!
What did you say and when do you get rid of her for good?
No WAY?!?! I'm stunned, just stunned. Why on earth would it be politically incorrect to fly the flag of one's country?
Because we have to think of all the imigrants, you can't believe the stuff that goes on here :sad2:
Speaking of flags I'm not fond of... the Union Jack doesn't do it for me, either! France either - I really have a problem with red, white & blue!
OMG V :rotfl2: So do you like our National Anthem????
I've got a friend coming round for a chat tonight, since she's gone back to work we don't get to see each other very much so I can't wait :goodvibes
