America just wants you to feel like you are still close to home while you visit us "Yanks".. uh even though Florida would definately be "The South" :goodvibes

So comming soon ( in a year or so) here she is....

london-eye.jpg

The only problem is Jo isn't really a Brit,

Just a few facts:

1. Does not likes tea!
2. Does not likes Benny Hill
3. and Does not like Monty Python

Now I ask, what self respecting Brit admits such things,

and if I remember correctly isn't she a little fuzzy on the monarchy?

Happy Saturday Fockers! :wave2:

Went to see Wall-e last night, and I have to admit I loved it! Wall-e is such a freakin' adorable character! :lovestruc

Here's Maddie and Evan outside Grauman's Chinese Theater. (The WDW version in MUCH cleaner)
wall-e003.jpg

OMG, you need to warn Evan how I am going to pinch those adorable cheeks!!!!!

Andy and Evan took off for the potty and Maddie and I people watched. This couple walked up to the box-office and then I spied this guy carrying his MURSE!!:rotfl2: I still despise the murse!
wall-e005.jpg

yeah, I just don't the murse thing:confused3
Has everyone heard about them closing PI??????????????? I am a HUGE fan of the Adventurers Club and I am really upset they are closing!!!!!!

Yeah, what a shock, but I am not a club person, though the AC is worth keeping.

Really? :rotfl2: We went on the Eye a few years ago, we had a gorgeous day and could see for miles, I'll try and find the photos if anyones interested?

Did you go to Britain on vacation?;)

Well we've had a really busy day, just sat down for the first time and it's after 9pm.

I'm tired reading that.

Good evening FOckers. Sounds like everyone had fun days. We just got back from the Crayola Factory. It was fun, but not a place I feel the need to go back too=fun to do once:thumbsup2 I will post pics later.
looking forward to it!

I finished my school paper/QUOTE]
CONgrats, what a great feeling that must be, I am just about finished with an online class that I am doing for 20 recertifcation hours, hopefully tomorrow!

Holy Smackamole!! You guys can talk up a blue streak :scared1: I want to keep up, but I am not smart enough. I'll just pop in to say "hi". And to tell DisneyJo that you are my new favorite. My best Aunt is my Aunt Jo. She is a Disney fanatic. So in my head, when I read your posts, I hear her voice.
Yeah, but Jo's Brit accent is questionable, at best;)

Okay here goes :-
Kat I did the petition. I loved the AC!! 'bout the only club I liked not being a drinker !!:thumbsup2
Katt are you honing in on MY Jo !! Jo you are my BESTEST!!:hug: and I prefer coffee to tea, can't stand Benny Hill or Monte Python!!I really think they both are more popular over here than in England!!:rotfl2:

Ah! yes but you have other threads tom read each being at least 250 threads long !!:rotfl2:
what? i'm confused, sorry i'm a little slow. :rotfl2: :confused3

I miss you all. We're checking out on Sunday morning. Tomorrow is MGM Star Wars weekend. I'm scared! The crowds this week have been INSANE!!!!! Talk to you guys soon I hope!
TTFN.

glad you're havin' fun!!! :goodvibes

We went and watched some tennis, then had dinner and watched Alvin & The Chipmunks.

This is all I know - have a great Friday night, all! :grouphug:

hi ce!!! did you like alvin and the chipmunks, i thought it was pretty funny, for a non disney movie anyway!! :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

Just got back from taking Bear to see Mom and Papa Joe--they liked seeing him and he played a lot with Bill (who is Max's BFF so he was kinda out of sorts. )

is he letting you sleep at night now? oh puppy days, :faint:

Well, I think I finally made it out of my Disney time warp and am back to normal(if you can call it that) after our trip.
Our trip was fun, lots of rain, lots and LOTS of crowds...not as magical as past trips but still good overall.
Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Jill
glad you had fun!!

He cleaned the shower, the bath tub, mopped.

yes, good man you have there!!! hang in there! :hug:

It would be fun to go to Disney with a bunch of "grown-up's" but I doubt I ever get that adventurous.

but a grown up trip would be soooo much fun!! how's your son doing? :hug: it's hard, i know.

Our weekend is starting off with a bang. OK...maybe not. I slept until 8:30! :faint: Which...come to think of it...I don't think I've done since I gave birth!
Other than that...nada.
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
0830 is sleeping in ? that's early to me!! :rotfl2:

Went to see Wall-e last night, and I have to admit I loved it! Wall-e is such a freakin' adorable character! :lovestruc

Here's a mini-TR of our evening last night:

great pics!! your kids are adorable :goodvibes . LA looks great, but that traffic is skeery!! i can't wait to see wall-e

Welcome back!!

hi , i'm rachel , mom of 3 kids.

I still wanna pull everything out of the cabinets and clean them out too (the above waist stuff we didn't get to) and we need to get some groceries. I dunno. We shall see.

How is everyone else doing this lovely Saturday????

take it easy girl!! i would say, go have some drinks. that's what i would do if given those 2 choices.

We were in Atlanta last weekend for a family reunion that included trips to the Aquarium, the zoo, the a puppet museum and a Braves game. We had a great time but everything was packet into 3 days so we were exhausted when we came home. Monday I'm going with my sister and my nephew for his first trip to the grandparents. This is what my mother had planned...

My nephew just turned one so my sister had to convince my mother that he may not be up for all that.

sounds like fun in atlanta!!!

oh and all those plans for your nephew :faint: that would be a lot for us adults !!!

Well we've had a really busy day, just sat down for the first time and it's after 9pm. We had Jessica's golf lesson this morning then we had the Church Fun Day which was held in the grounds of our local Castle (literally opposite Ellie's school) which went on for hours, it was good fun though with medieval re-enactments etc, I helped on some stalls. Then we had to get Ellie ready for a sleepover party, she's going to her BFF who lives next door and there are 6 of them sleeping in a tent in the garden, the parents are sleeping in the lounge to make sure they're OK, but my ensuite window is right by their garden so they'd better not be noisy :rotfl2: Then after tea David, Jess and I went and played golf as it's a gorgeous evening :goodvibes

okay, castle, garden , lounge, tea. this sounds just all too cool to me. i can't wait to visit england. one day we will go. we can stay with you for a few weeks , right jo? :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Good evening FOckers. Sounds like everyone had fun days. We just got back from the Crayola Factory. It was fun, but not a place I feel the need to go back too=fun to do once I will post pics later.

hi janet, can't wait to see them pics!!

Happy Saturday Fockers! Once again, I've lost my quotes. :headache:
I finished my school paper this morning - yay! - and I've settled in on a maaaaaajah (said in my very best Posh imitation) project: making a photo book on Shutterfly for Leo, ages 0-5 years. It wouldn't be so challenging if the first couple yearts of his life weren't pre-digital photos. There's a whole lotta scanning going on...... :faint:

you're just movin from one project to the other!! i not sure exactly how i feel about the PI thing yet, but i 'm kinda leanin your way V. i guess it just depends on what they end up doing with it, kwim?

Holy Smackamole!! You guys can talk up a blue streak :scared1: I want to keep up, but I am not smart enough. I'll just pop in to say "hi". And to tell DisneyJo that you are my new favorite. hi there. i , too, have trouble keepin up!

Church Fun Day which was held in the grounds of our local Castle

Is anyone else very jealous by this statement? :rolleyes1

:thumbsup2 Hi! Just jump in anytime! The Focker Motto is "there's no such thing as :offtopic: "

is he letting you sleep at night now? oh puppy days, :faint:

!
I went to bed at midnite and he got me up at 2 and 6 am (actually DH took the 6 am one) so that's the best so far.

We took him to the lake today-just let him wade around in the little creek and splash. He seemed to really enjoy it!!

We are headed back to the lake soon to eat and listen to an outdoor country music band.

Hey, all - too lazy (and sort of even busy) to quote.

Jill, welcome back!

Dawn, glad K's taking care of things.

T, thanks for the miniTR.

TE, hope your dad's doing well. :)

Janet, I'll be interested in the Crayola thing.

Angela, you said something funny... Right, the schedule! OMG! With a ONE year old??? :rotfl:

Hi Jo, Mo, V, Jen, Katt, Kat, Rachel, Rosie, Mrs. the King, and everyone else I'm forgetting!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
D & I starting moving our bedroom stuff around this morning in anticpation of building the Ikea stuff we bought last week. We've got the bed moved, the yucky dresser outside, the "going to the guest room" dresser in the guest room, and the new TV stand built.
We did quit mid-day to go have "linner" with our friend who flew in for the Nascar race, but she was leaving after today's race and will be back tomorrow - not sure if we'll see her.
So we're back, but D & Woody went to pick out a movie. I just want to put together more furniture! :rotfl2: Anyway, just wanted to check in, but I'm probably out tonight, too. Have a great Saturday night! (S-A-T-U-R-D-A-Y NIGHT!) Sorry, I think I'm in a karaoke mood. :banana:
OK, my last post just went to the previous page again. I thought we were fixed??? Where's this one going??? AAAAAAAAAAARGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH.
Hi Jo, Mo, V, Jen, Katt, Kat, Rachel, Rosie, Mrs. the King, and everyone else I'm forgetting!
Uh---I just posted #763 and it went before the other ones. :confused:
Looks like the DIs is being Wonky again. POsts going wherever they want:confused3
Welcome my Friend.....
twilight_zone.jpg
We'll see where this post ends up.....
We atarted out day bright and early. We left the house around 7:30 and drove to my froends house to pick them up. We were taking 2 cars, so theywere following us...
It took us about an hour and a half to get to beautiful downtown Easton, PA.
100_0126.jpg
We arrived at the Crayola factory. We gave them our tickets and they gave us each a sticker to wear and 3 gold coins (each) which could be traded in for sampe size crayons, markers, and modeling clay. It is a very small place, but the kids had a ball.
We started out with the demonstartion of how crayons are made. (This is the part Jimmy was dying to see::yes:: ) Very much like the Mister ROgers clip Katt sent me and Jimmy loved it.
We learned how many crayons have been made since 1902....
100_0084.jpg
We learned how they are made, how the paper is applied (Cornstarch and water::yes:: ), and how they are packed into the boxes. Very cool. We made red crayons today and everyone got a free sample:thumbsup2
100_0091.jpg
100_0086.jpg
We also learned that the area farmers, before the machine labeling process began, used to earn money in the winter putting the labels on by hand, and the rate of 10 per hour earning 10 cents a day! THe machine processing didn't begin until 1939!
After you leave the show area wach room is designated to the different crayloa products and in each area the kids can make a craft, color a picture, etc.
Crayola makes computer software too!
Overall, a fun day! Not something I would go to again, but if you are in the area worth a 1/2 day trip!
Happy Saturday Fockers! :wave2:
And the same to you my friend!
Went to see Wall-e last night, and I have to admit I loved it! Wall-e is such a freakin' adorable character! :lovestruc
Cool. I'm glad to hear that. That means that I'll love it too!:thumbsup2
Yeah, I was right about the traffic:
wall-e001.jpg
UGH...traffic...:headache:
We parked at the Kodak Theater (home of the Academy Awards)
My company built that Hollywood & Highland complex! It was very exciting to watch the Oscars the first time they had it there. All we'd seen were progress photos of the job - they didn't release any of the final pictures until after the Oscars. It looks cool...hopefully some day I'll get to see it in person.
We headed across the street to the El Capitan and the Disney Studio Store and Soda Shop. The kids both got remote control Wall-e and Eve and then we got inline for our 7pm showing.
wall-e004.jpg
Who's the tall dude?
Before the movie was a cute little Disney stage show with tons of characters, dancing and music. The movie was wonderfully funny and actually had a very important message which I think V would appreciate. ;)
Sounds like fun! We're going to try and go see Wall-E tomorrow I think. We were going to do it today, but...never made it. Hopefully tomorrow. Tonight we're just vegging...waiting for Michael to go to bed so we can watch Fool's Gold...another exciting night at our house...:rolleyes2
Andy was tired, so I drove home and I asked him to take a few shots of the theater as we drove past. Here's what I got: :headache:
wall-e008.jpg
Reminds me of how Tony's pictures come out!:headache:
A few shots of the kids in theater:
wall-e006.jpg
wall-e007.jpg
I can't believe how big the kids have gotten in the last year...Michael's really excited to play with them again!
My Friday night wasn't that exciting. We went to a friends house and hung out. They have a great house - like party central - so we sat outside all night by the poolbar, between swims that is (or in my case - between wades). They got me hooked on these drinks they learned to make on a cruise ship last summer...Iceburg Martinis...Absolute Citron, Blue Pucker and Sprite...They're such a perfect summer drink:thumbsup2 ! So were the 1/2 dozen or so Bud Lights I also consumed...:rolleyes1
It was a good time though. Especially now that Michael's getting to be a better swimmer. He didn't get out of the pool until 11:00 last night when it was time to go home. He was alseep by the time he hit the car seat and slept until 10:30 this morning! What an absolutely blissful morning it was! :rotfl:
Anyway, just checking in...going to try and talk Michael into going to bed. Wish me luck!!
hey everyone!!! i'm working a double today, i;m out in triage, so i'll be on when i don't have anyone !! i have an inlaw story i want to ask your opinion on ,but i will probably have to wait until tomorrow when i'm not at work. i just want to know if i'm being witchy or reasonable!! of course, i think reasonable, but want some outsiders opinion.
but in other news, it's been a crazy past 2 days. last night, my dh hit a deer with all 3 kids in the car. thank god, everyone was okay. don't know about the deer-- he couldn't find bambi-- it was dark out, on a country road. but, car is not okay!!! :scared1: so , insurance company will come out next week, but our deductable is $500!! sucks! but it could be much , much worse. nobody was hurt and that's all i care about. okay, still sucks having to shell out the money :rotfl2:
then , at work last night, some pt went postal. security came out. cops were already there for something else. so cop is trying to help. this guy dives towards the cop, so cop pepper sprays the guy , right by the nurses station. :eek: we had a full er. quickly shut all the doors. but whole staff was coughing , eyes watering. that crap disperses and lingers forever!!!
dude, we should be on that show life in the er!!! :rotfl2:
okay, off to lunch break!!
