yeah, me too. my dh does not get it tho!! he will not even try to read! i've tried really hard too. it's okay. cuz he "gets" the magic at disney, so i should be thankful.

i heard ages ago about a harry potter park at universal. is that true? if it is, i'm with ya. that's the only thing that could get me away from disney.

The Potter books are the only books KC has actually finished in the last few years (with work and school he just cant sit down and concentrate) but he reads them all! I have read them 3 times (so far).

The Harry Potter part of Universal will be open in 2010 I believe. I'm SO going!

Jim just called me. He got back from the vet. Tink is well and healthy, except the vet wants us to pay $1000 so she can have her teeth cleaned

(I don't pay that much for 2 myears of cleaning and I go 3 or 4 times a year!!

After a post on the 86'd preTR is there anyone who's not able to come in August who'd like to be a flat focker????? I'm taking Flat Rosie, anyone else want to come?

I may have company !! But are yiou ready for this DD took out my memory card and can't find it !! This weekend I am definately getting that dang Flay done ! They may have to take another photo but that's OK and it's off to Walmart for me !!

Here is my mini-TR from our weekend...

Jim picked me up from work around 2:00pm. We went home and I got changed from work clothes to going to the beach clothes whilst Jim walked Tinkerbell. We loaded up the car and we picked Jimmy up at daycare where were informed that he had a great day, but did not nap becasue he was so excited about going to the beach

We got on I-76 and it was backed up (usual for a Friday in the summer). We hit the Walt Whitman Bridge (not literally) around 3:30 and it was smooth sailing from there. We arrived on island at around 5:45pm. We stopped at the Acme (Supermarket) for provisions and were at my friends hose where we were staying by about 6:15 or so. Good time for a summer Friday night We unloaded the car and put the provisions away and headed out to the boardwalk. We stopped for pizza for dinner and then got Jimmy his ride wristband. $33/night and he can ride all he wants. I don't remember what order he rode what rides (I didn't take notes0, but some of the rides he rode were Shark Bite (ToT for little ones), the Tilt a Whirl, Boats, cars, and all of your other regular boardwalk/carnical type rides. His favorite ride of the night though was called the Flitzer. It was a rocket roller coaster and he loved it. This is the only pic of the night because we forgot to bring our camera:

At 10:30 they had fiireworkls on the beach so we watched those and then headed back to the house to get some sleep so we could go to the beach the next day. YOu all kow it wasn't that eeasy right.

We got home, got Jimmy ready for bed and put a movie into the DVD player. He watched 20 episodes of Bugs Bunny and at 1:00AM was still awake. HE finally crashed at about 2:00am

I forgot to mention that on Thursday night before I left JIm and Jimmy had a cake and gave me some flowers to celebrate my birthday since we werent' going to be home

After falling asleep at 2:00am, Jimmy selpt in...until 6:45am We got up, had breakfast (Remember our provisions) and then got ready for the beach. This is when I realized I forgot Jimmy's Pool Shoes We hop in the car and thre CVS stops later I finally found him a pair of red NOT Crocs in his size which were good enough for the weekend. We finally get to the beach around 10:30. We lay out our blanket, and Jimmy and Jim start building a sand castle. I went to check out the ocean and it was COLD. Jimmy doesn't like the ocean, the waves scare him and we didn't force him. He liked playing in the sand and collecting sea shells and that was fine with us. Here are some pics from the beach (These are from a disposable camera becasue we didn't want to take the good camera to the beach):

We left the beach around 12:00 or so and headed back to the house. While Jim bathed Jimmy I got lunch together and we all just relaxed. Then we took showers and we relaxzed some more. We went back to the boardwalk and another $33 later JImmy was set up to ride all night. We stopped at a decent place on the boardwalk for some dinner (Jim had a burger, I had some pasta dish, and Jimmy had a $6.00 Uncrustable). Not bad for a boardwalk place. After that Jimmy rode rodes to his heart content. HE rode the rocket roller coaster again, another roller coaster called the Doo Wop (Like the WIld Mouse) and then a bunch of other rides and he just had a ball going from thing to thing. It wasn't really crowded becasue it was chilly and we never really had a long wait for anything I think his favorite thing of the night though was when Jim took him into the fun house and Jim kept walking into the glass walls

We left boradwalk around 10:00pm or so and needed to stop at the drug store for some Benadryl Cream becasue Jimmy had a major mosquito bite going. By the time we pulled out of the parking lot...Jimmy was snoring like a champ

We made the drug store stop, went home, carried him up the stairs, took of his pants and put on his pull up and pajamas and he NEVER woke up

We ended the eveing sitting out on the deck enjoying an adult beverage (yes, don't flip everyone I had A beer) and just chilling out. Went to bed around 12:30 and passed out.

So endeth Day 2.

GOing to get Jimmy ready for bed, will finish the last 2 days tonight or tomorrow after work!

Apparently neither... Andy just vetoed my plans. BUT he did promise the Poly for our adults only trip next year.

Jim is now on summer vacation, but I left him a GOOD honey do listIT includes, but is not limited to taking Tink to her 9:45 vet appointment, mow/weed the yard, change out the storm window for the screen on the front door, and I seperated all the luandry and left little notes with instructions on top of each pile. Let's see how much he actually gets done:

last update.....my bil broke up with gf. so my dh is worried about him and drives over to his house (which my mil is paying for cuz he missed 2 payments). well, bil is not there, but ex gf's mom is!!!????
she tells my dh that bil went to cleveland with other brother to go to a concert. he has no money, no job, no phone, no liscense, missed 2 house payments, but is going to a concert? wth? . it's like madness all around. it's so weird , it's funny , kwim? i just feel bad for my dh. he's trying to have some sort of relationship with his brothers, but they make no effort at all. i just try to support him, but i feel like saying, why do you keep doing this to yourself? i guess i don't understand bc i'm an only child .

I had an awesome birthday (the best in a while!!!). I'll make another post since I have pics.....

I'm tired...it was a long day and I was up late. I guess the memory is the first thing to go in my old age (LOL) because I forgot to set the alarm clock and KC was almost late for work today...ooops. he made it tho, so It wasn't that bad!

How old is he? Jimmy was sooooooo hard to potty train and still wakes up wet sometimes in the AM. I had the same problem with him that you are having. Peeing no problem. Poop - nope not until the pull up was on I think what finally did it for him was when we changed daycares and all the other kids were already trained...I think it was just the little push he needed, KWIM?

DR is 3, almost 3.5. He'll be going to preschool in the fall and I'm hoping there it'll help influence him a little on the pooping part. By this age Lindsey was potty trained and I *think* even night trained. Of course my Linds has always been a little more ahead of DR developmentally when it comes to age development related things. Thanks for the luck! I need it.

It will, I promise! Don't you hate the "lawyer games" though? Funny story - post-divorce, my ex went back to court asking for a bunch of ridiculous stuff through a lawyer. Our lawyers went back and forth doing what they do until we wound up going to mediation... at which time we found out that my ex didn't care about 90% of what his lawyer was fighting for - he just wanted to pay less in child support!

Thanks V! Yeah...I think we'll be heading towards mediation here pretty soon. I know I'll have to give and take and make deals but with him all he wants to do is take take take and have it his way, way WAY! Drives me nuts!

salem is about an hour west of pittsburg. and i grew up in wv also. i was born and raised in fairmont. went to college at wvu. actually , i visit there quiet often as most of my family still lives there. what a small world. okay , everyone together with me.................it's a small world afterall!!!!

I am up and getting ready to move my kiddos out of their beds, so we can get a move on the day! DS has classes and I'm bringing Tink to run a few errands.

I am having a heck of a time firming up some plans for our hopeful East Coast Trip next month. Nothing like last minute planning. We want to stay on the beach in Long Island for a few nights, but everything either doesn't take kids of is booked. boo hoo
