TEAM FIVE: Herc's Heroes--Post miles/hours here!

Hey gang, thanks for all the nice words! Yeah, it's been a pretty crazy 2 months of training since the Mickey, but now that the Shamrock is over I feel like maybe I can relax for just a *little* while... (until the Minnie, that is! ;)

To add to this week's stats, I went for a 3 mile walk with my mom yesterday, about an hour...and I think it was just a bit much for my post-marathon self. Gotta get used to the idea that I can't take on the whole world *every* day, lol ;)

Anyway, keep on being your super heroic selves, Heroes!
 
I wonder what has happened to Duckie and Sandy?

Fit Ball last night for an hour.
Running over lunch today - 3.3 mi in 38:56.

My right shin is still bothering me quite a bit when I run. It eased up towards the end of the run but I'm thinking this may be something I just need to work through and hopefully it will get better, seeing as how it is easing up into the run. Obviously 2 days of running a week isn't quite cutting it...:confused3 I've had shin issues before when I returned from a break and once my conditioning got back up it cleared up. Fingers crossed this is what it is!
 
Would someone like to take over captain duty till we can locate Duckie?

Great one Panda.... you went and signed me up with a team that has no captain!! LOL!! Send me a PM explaining captains duties and I might be inclined to help out for a while. I mean... DH decided to up and spring a surprise on me today (letting me know that I can go ahead and sign up for the MINNIE which I thought was a no-go) so I'll be spending lots of time on here with everyone else getting ready!!

GOOD MORNING TEAM!!

I don't know if I posted here about my run Saturday, I don't think I did :confused3 Although they have been pretty ugly, I have been getting the miles in this week.

Saturday 7.4 for 74 minutes
Tuesday 4 miles 39 minutes
Today 3 miles 29 minutes

Ok, well it looks like I have (at least for now) taken over the Captain responsibilities for our team!! I am trying to find out where our previous capt left off, so I can go from there and get everyone caught up. I will make sure to check in here every day to get everyone's stats. So make sure to keep me updated!!

Yesterday I bailed on my Cross/Strength training, so I am going to go do that RIGHT now.... along with my 4 miles that are planned for today!! Take Care everyone!!

Also... while I am thinking about it. I am not sure when the last time the previous captains entered your team's stats. I am still waiting to gain access to the spread sheet to be sure, but I need some help from you guys. If everyone could PLEASE pm me their stats/totals for the past two weeks it would be greatly appreciated. I really want to make sure that everyone gets credit for all of the hard work you've put in over the past two weeks.

I'm super excited to be here with you guys.:dance3:

A little about me. I'm a 34 year old female who has gained nearly 100lbs in the last 8 years from steroids for allergies :crazy2: (okay, I'll take some of the blame). I'm just not me anymore. I can't do the things that I want to do anymore because of the weight. I'm missing out on too much.:sad2:

I'm off the medicine now and I'm totally motivated to get back to my healthy, active lifestyle that I had before.:yay: I've signed up for the 1/2 marathon in January.:goodvibes

I'm looking forward to getting to know ya'll!
 
Moonie...I remember reading one of your first wish posts. I just checked out your blog :thumbsup2 . OMG....girl you ROCKED both marathons. Awesome job...you've just come so far in a year. MAJORLY impressed! :worship: Keep up the good work and see ya' at the Minnie!!!
 
Whats up team! Long time no see. The past three weeks have been killer with exams and spring break so it warrranted a little break and I apologize for the missed weeks. Good news is Im working back in and I have miles to post. Also its good to report that the weather in Toledo is slowly getting nicer so Ill be able to start running soon instead of a boring stationary bike. Anyway here are my miles for this past week.

I only did three short rides to slowly get back into it but the miles should build back up.

If my fellow Herc team players could send me some pixie dust I would be very grateful. My first half is nine days away and I have caught something nasty - totally going into my chest and with a fever. I'm very worried. :headache:
 
Shan, tons of pixie dust your way. Just be sure to rest and take it easy to recover, don't worry about taper runs in if you don't feel up to it. You've trained hard up to this point so all the hard work is done.
 
Shan - Thanks for the info. I went back the last two weeks and wrote down the miles and times that everyone reported. Unfortunately, I am still waiting for someone to set me up so that I can access the spreadsheet and update all of the information. As soon as I get everything caught up I will let you know!! Also, you have all the pixie dust and prayers I can muster to help you feel better before the big day!!
