TEAM DONALD--Biggest Loser 11 Spring Team Challenge

Had the same fish oil problem. I now take the GNC fish oil that is lemon flavor and don't have the problem.

Ooooo...I'm heading over to GNC to check these out! The burps are killing me and my Dr insists they will help get my cholesterol down.

TEAM DONALD won for the week and reached 502 pounds for the challenge!!!

Waaay to go TEAM DONALD!!! Although I have only made the top 10 once so far, I am excited to know that there are so many people losing with nice percentages!! :cool1:

QUOTD: Monday 21:
So what's your favorite color? It's another simple non food thing that makes you happy.

GREEN! I love the beach so I like to surround myself with cool, soothing colors. My bedroom is sage green and I think it is my favorite room in the house :cloud9:

Second..... I mentioned to DD that I'd like to lose about 5 pounds before our trip to Disney. She told me that she didn't know why.... she thinks I look fabulous!! This is a 15 1/2 year old saying this to me!! I was floored (and flattered, of course). I posted a few years ago when I was mid-way in this journey about not wanting to be a source of embarrassment for my kids (at least, due to my weight), and obviously I've achieved that goal!

Wow! That is such a great compliment from your DD and it sounds like your journey has been successful! Congratulations and enjoy your trip in May. I was thinking about your "theme" idea and I simply LOVE it! Maybe you could theme certain days....Disney Divas Dive-in (you visit all rides that are water related) and wear blue shirts designed for the day. Or maybe a scavenger hunt day where each of you makes up a scavenger hunt (half day each) for the other....Divas Discovery Day. This will also be really cool for your future scrapbook!

:bday:
HAVE A WONDERFUL BIRTHDAY KATHY!

Is it spring yet??? I'm getting so tired of looking at snow...dirty snow too! All is quiet at school today and I only have 2 meetings with kiddos so I have time to spare. I went to the gym last night and had a good treadmill experience...a fast walk/jog. I made a deal with my trainer that I would be able to hold a 2 minute plank today or at least by Saturday. I can hold it for a minute but then my core gives out  If I can get to 2 minutes he is giving me a free session!! I am determined but the body is not cooperating!

My eating has been a bit out of whack this week. I got Chinese food last night...Steamed Beef and Veggies and splurged on a Hot and Sour Soup. Today I feel really sluggish..hmmmmm. I guess I should hit the water cooler to flush it out before the gym tonight....yuck. I will make a better choice at lunch....(I'm promising myself this since lunch is not until 1 today due to my meetings). Oh well, back on the wagon!

Happy Wednesday to all and keep up the good choices Donalds!

My first thought was "Live Disney or Die" but that might be a little extreme :rotfl:

Just wanted to say "Hi!" -- I'm doing the Princess this weekend, and then I will let myself post more with the Donalds. I've never had such a short stint between Halfs before, so it's been a challenge to reintegrate, get my life going, and then get ready to go again...I have been reading along, and I look forward to coming in with lots of energy and focus next week! :goodvibes

I think everyone is doing a stellar job, February is hard...and we're coming on strong! :cool1:

Maria :upsidedow

HEY stranger! Nice to see you here! I've been neglecting the Mickey thread, so I haven't chatted with you in a while. Have a GREAT time at the Princess Half! Hope to talk to you more soon!

I love all of your theme ideas. I think "scavenger hunt" idea for each day is GREAT! We've never done a "Hidden Mickey" trip, so maybe that could be incorporated into the scavenger hunt. I'd love to do an "All Characters All The Time" trip and concentrated mostly on seeing characters (especially rarer ones), but of course, the kids are ALL about the rides. That said, DS was cooperative with me last year and we took a HUGE detour so that I could FINALLY get a photo taken with Jiminy Cricket!!

I am SO CHEAP.... if my trainer was offering a free session, I'd KILL myself to do the 2 minute plank. That said.... I'm usually about dead by the end of a 90 second plank. GOOD LUCK!! MIND OVER MATTER!!

Talk to you all later....................P

Life happens. Just wanted to recognize how much committment goes in to these races--I always admre everyone who does it. Seems there's a lot coming up.
Pjlla:
PINK, PINK, PINK!! Pretty much any shade.... from hot pink to petal pink to magenta to almost purple..... but nothing RED. I can't stand red..... isn't that strange??? Anyhow, I even got MARRIED in PINK!! I don't have any pink around the house though (but I do have a deep purple guest bathroom that I love!).
I love that so many of us love pink. Makes me feel much better about it.

I am also working on a 1000 piece puzzle that I bought at Versailles this weekend. It's the painting of the Coronation of napoleon.
I miss doing puzzles. It is so very Midwest. I have 19 cats though that would definitely wreak absolute havoc on a vulnerable puzzle.

Seems the Donalds are doing very well this week. Thought a good question would be what we have all done to get over plateaus as we are bound to be having them soon. The only thing that would break mine was walking. A lot.

So officially - Wed. 23rd quotd:

What is the thing that finally broke you plateau? It is so frustrating when you are losing and then suddenly nothing is working.

We are finally going to get some snow around here. It is very weirdly late in the season for us. I guess the last time we had snow was back in 96 this late. Of course I'm going to be working late both nights. :headache: Oh well-- I'll still enjoy it. Going to head to the gym now--have a great day!

Weight is still holding the mystery 5 lbs. Off as soon as my phone charges to walk to meet DD at the transit center(so she can DRIVE us home)!! I THINK it will end up about 8 miles....mostly uphill....but not sure. Assuming I get down there with enough time, we will go in Petsmart, potty, get Sashi a treat & then I will get a smoothie nextdoor.

Still pondering a cruise. DH really prefers to take someone with us as then he doesn't have to do the stuff I like....shop in port, swim, etc. And I don't have to spend the day in the casino! We will see.........

Back after my trek! And I"m trying out my new 'five fingers' shoes. Should be interesting!

Welcome to Healthy Habits Pamper Week!

Welcome to Day 6, Wednesday 2/23

1) Pour yourself a cup of tea and relax for about 10 minutes.
2) Have 3 servings of veggies.
3) Cook/prepare all of your meals.
 That is so NOT a pamper in my house! Fortunately DH loves to cook so as long as I have the kitchen cleaned up and the meal planned and all the ingredients he does the actual cooking. But a true pamper is going out to eat, preferably at a place where you sit and order and don't have to get your own napkins and straws!

TEAM DONALD won for the week and reached 502 pounds for the challenge!!!
:cheer2::cheer2: I knew we could come back!!!:cheer2::cheer2:

Congratulations to our Top Ten and to DisFam95!:woohoo::banana:

Hang in there! Take it day by day -- you can do this! I felt like eating more after lunch today but I set the timer for 10 minutes and got busy washing dishes and after the timer went off I realized I was actually full. I think I will be doing this more often. It helps that I always have some dishes to wash with a broken dishwasher:rotfl:

Hope you are all having a great day! I think I am going to make a chart of the 14.3 pounds I have left to lose in this challenge to make my goal and post it on the wall in front of my scale. I'll color in the block in red every time I lose .2, either with a bar going up or going down:woohoo:
Drinking a glass of water when you think you are hungry or not full is a also a good way to see if you really need more. Last night I was a little hungry about an hour before bed so I fixed a sf hot chocolate with skim milk. A good dairy serving and it took care of that "craving" with minimal calories.

Love the idea of a chart! I may do that when I feel my motivation waning.

Well... Happy Wednesday morning friends! I knew DD would be excited about our Mother/Daughter trip in May, but honestly, she is just beside herself!! She mentions it every morning and wants to talk non-stop when we are in the car going places. MY KIND OF GIRL!!

**Healthy eating breakthrough for my family. I served "make-your-own" yogurt parfaits for DINNER last night and got NO complaints!! I've done it for breakfast in the past, but never for lunch or dinner. I put out a container of Stoneyfield farms fatfree organic french vanilla yogurt, thawed blueberries, sliced almonds, FiberOne cereal, sliced bananas, cantaloupe, pineapple, diced dried apricots, craisins, cinnamon. Plus everyone (other than myself) got a half toasted bagel and a cup of cocoa. FAST, EASY, HEALTHY.... and NO COMPLAINTS!!
We had had hamburgers (a rare treat in our house) the night before and I wanted them to understand that we need to balance meals like that with much lighter, healthier NON-MEAT meals.... hence the yogurt night. It will certainly be added to the regular rotation once the warmer weather hits.
What a great idea. My girls would love that-- they love parfaits and smoothies.

DS and I were watching a tv show and a woman mentioned she had a heart attack at age 47. DS asked about my age (I'm nearly 47) and I let him know that even though I am that age, he has NOTHING to worry about..... I am NOT overweight, I exercise regularly, eat healthy, and my heart is in GREAT SHAPE! It was SO NICE to be able to set his mind at ease about that!!

Second..... I mentioned to DD that I'd like to lose about 5 pounds before our trip to Disney. She told me that she didn't know why.... she thinks I look fabulous!! :scared1: This is a 15 1/2 year old saying this to me!! I was floored (and flattered, of course). I posted a few years ago when I was mid-way in this journey about not wanting to be a source of embarrassement for my kids (at least, due to my weight), and obviously I've achieved that goal!
:dance3: for those NSV!!! :dance3:

I made a deal with my trainer that I would be able to hold a 2 minute plank today or at least by Saturday. I can hold it for a minute but then my core gives out  If I can get to 2 minutes he is giving me a free session!! I am determined but the body is not cooperating!
What a great deal! That is a great trainer if he is willing to put your wellness before his pay.

I have 19 cats though that would definitely wreak absolute havoc on a vulnerable puzzle.

19??? I would love to have that many but many days my 2 drive me crazy-- I swear it is like having toddlers in the house sometimes! I don't get to pee by myself anymore, they are climbing on everything, knocking things over, leaving their toys all over the place, waking me up in the middle of the night and getting into all the trouble they can find!:rotfl: DH and I have talked about fostering kittens when our kids are gone. We have a really good set up in our house for it and we would really enjoy it.

:wave2:

Someone finally noticed!!!!!:woohoo::banana: Okay, it was DD's dr but it sure was nice to finally have someone take one look at me and say "You have lost weight!" And it was a statement, not a question. He knew for sure that there was a good amount gone. Still waiting for friends. . . It will be interesting to see if my family notices when I go home in a month. I am determined that I WILL be in ONEderland by then (and hopefully at least 5 or more below).

But the first NSV that has meant the most to me, that really has been my first goal of the entire thing-- I can wear my wedding ring again. That really has been one of the most upsetting thing about the weight gain. When I couldn't even get it on or off and had to just stop wearing it was really when I hit rock bottom. It is still a little "snug" but it isn't cutting off my circulation and I don't need soap to get it on and off.

My AF issues have resolved and I came out on the other side in a good place. I am hoping for a very happy weigh in this weekend. Things were so up and down the last 2 weeks that I was showing several pound changes from day to day.

The rest of the week is going to be crazy with major effects on eating schedules so I need to figure out how I am going to deal with that. DD has to be at the mall for a class right at dinner time the next 2 nights and at lunch time on Saturday.

Got in 30 mins on the exercise bike and am going to try to so some upper body/arms with hand weights later today. I didn't have time at the gym. I wanted to use the "crunch" machine while I was there to get a few of those in but there are only 2 and both were taken by people just lying on them. REALLY? Either use the equipment or get off! I waited around for a few mins but apparently they were really really tired :sad2: so I finally had to leave.

Buffy: I swear sometimes that I grew up in Mayberry! There were only around 120 in my graduating class and we all knew each other, knew most of the parents and siblings, our parents knew each other and I am really happy that I have reconnected with some of them on FB. I went to my 11 year reunion (no one was organized enough to plan a 10th) but couldn't make it for the 21st (we keep up the pattern). It seems that most of us either still live right there or have moved clear across the country.

Everyone have a great rest of the day!:goodvibes

/
BernardandMsBianca, the Everest 5K sounds like so much fun! I wish we lived closer to FL so that we could do it down here. Of course, my DH's favorite refrain since we've been down in FL for our February break (um, it is 2 degrees today at home!) - while we are sitting in 80 degrees on Daytona beach - is "...and tell my WHY again we live in upstate NY..!!"

I've never done a 5K before, hopefully I don't tank!!! LOL
If I gave DH the go ahead to buy a house in FL today, he'd have it purchased tomorrow! He hates it here but DS14 is going to a really really good school so I don't want to move yet.

:dance3: A trio of dancing girls to help celebrate your 10% !! I'm so very happy for you!!! Kick that junk food out the door!! If the packages are still closed, donate them to a local food pantry or drop them off at a senior center!

to late, the kids ate the grasshopper cookies. LOL I did have 4 though.

I was going to skip the grocery store this week, but, like you, I needed fruit and veggies. Hit that last night and we should be good until at least mid-week next week! Anything good on sale for produce around you? We had grapefruit and oranges on sale, plus asparagus. Broccoli looked like heck, so I skipped it.
Not much was on sale but I got Pineapple, cantaloupe, yellow squash, asparagus (help me cook it, I have no idea how!!), and lemons. Oh and 2 flats of strawberries 1/2 of which the kids already wolfed down!! Thankfully I had about $13 in bottle redemption coupons I found from last year so I saved some serious cash. Darn healthy stuff is so stinkin' expensive.

Anyhow.... we are thinking about making this a "THEMED" trip... but we can't come up with anything original. We thought about "Been there.... never done that!" (trying things we've never done/seen) or some sort of "Princesses of NH in WDW" or "Disney Divas"..... but none of that is too exciting. We'd like a theme we could work into some t-shirts or pins, into our photos, into the future scrapbook. Any creative ideas out there??
Can't help ya but cute idea!

My healthy vegan stew I made on Saturday didn't last the week..... turns out that DH actually liked it!! Go figure! Anyhow, it was so easy, I might make more today or tomorrow if I find that I have all of the ingredients. For those who might be interested, I'll post the "recipe" (such as it is) on the BL recipe thread later.

Recipe???

I need some good for you crock pot recipes!

Second..... I mentioned to DD that I'd like to lose about 5 pounds before our trip to Disney. Sweet!!!! Love it when kidlets say something nice.
I've been using coconut oil on my face and DS14 said it looks healthy and more tan!

WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, our town is like that. DS and I both had 30 in our graduating class from 8th grade (School is K- 8). We don't have our own HS, so the major town and 8 surrounding towns all go there.

Oh I completely forgot!

GOOD LUCK to the Princess Runners!

I know you will all have a great time. Enjoy yourselves and stay safe and healthy!:yay:

WOW back to 30 Day Shred this morning and it was tough after my lack of exercise during my virus. :guilty: I started back at level 1 too. :rolleyes1 My push ups have regressed so I gotta work on it. My brother got the pedal tightened and attached the arms so I did 15 minutes on the exercise bike before I started too and my legs were worked some already. I may hope on the bike later for a short 15-20 ride again. Tomorrow I promised Zoe I'd do Banish Fat Boost Metabolism with her so I may do a short bike ride in morning and start that when she gets home. I know she will stop after 10 minutes but oh well.

QOTD Monday: Blue is my favorite color. Pretty much any shade but I really like the softer blues.

QOTD today:

LTS,
WOOHOO on someone noticing. :cheer2: My AF cycles get regular when I drop weight while I don't mind not having one for 2-4 or more months they sure get you caught up with horrible cramps and such. :headache: 120 graduating class seems small to me. We had over 400 in mine. I still keep in touch with several. One is STILL to this day my best friend. :goodvibes a couple I see every now and then and quite a few keep in touch and reconnected via Facebook. My best friend and I had been looking and waiting for our other good friend to get on the Facebook train. Finally she did its nice catching up. I hadn't seen or spoken to her in well over 10 years.

Pjlla,
Sounds like yummy soup! Allergic to quinoa? WOW! Never heard of that. It seems like it wouldn't be like that more common to have wheat allergy. Zoe doesn't like it or says she doesn't anyway she hasn't really given it a good try though. She complained about it being on her curry chicken last night so much my brother rinsed it off and gave it back.

Buffy,
Veggies taste best in season. I have a hard time finding some that taste as good as what we'd grow back in Illinois.

Shawn,
Sorry about the gain hope it fixes itself by Friday. We like doing puzzles too. My brother just got a new one to start. He is out of town for weekend so if Zoe gets the urge to start one we will redo her kitty one so he can work on his new pick. Its a cardinal looks like the sky part will be harder. its smaller than our 1000 piece ones but will work.
I've heard great things about Made to Crave. :goodvibes I signed up for the 21 day newsletter part. I've only looked over day 1. Biggest Loser is on hulu you can watch for free, its is how I have to watch it. ;)

Jude,
Oooh have fun at WDW. I'm so jealous. I hope to go in October.

50sjayne,
We used to have a large plexi glass we'd put over the puzzle and pieces in between. Right now we are using a paneling board to cover it but larger ones it doesn't cover. Funny you say its a Midwest thing. HEHE I grew up till 12 in Illinois so maybe that is where it comes from. We always had puzzles going cats, dogs or none. Sometimes I miss how much slower life is there. I lived in well populated area there but it still seemed like a whole other world of course time may have changed things too. I can see me having 19 cats. :rolleyes1 I'm such a softy for animals.

Okay well I caught up some. I was reading quite a bit back but been sitting here too long gotta get up and move around.

Way to go everyone we are doing great with over 500 lbs lost. WOOHOO!! I hope I can add more to that next week instead of slowing it down.

Welcome to Healthy Habits Pamper Week!

My name is CC (short for Christina) and I will be your Healthy Habits coach for BL 11. I love the BL challenges and Healthy Habits has helped me significantly in achieving many of my goals.

Some Background Information: Thanks to donac (Dona-hostess of Team Donald) and jenanderson for their amazing help so I know how to coach! I couldn’t do this without seeing them in action previously. I will be continuing the prizes that Jen started.

Here’s How Healthy Habits Pamper Week Works: Each day there will be three "Habits" for you to complete. You do not need to keep track of your points and there will not be a winner. This is simply for your enjoyment!

Welcome to Day 7, Thursday 2/24

1) Exercise for 20 minutes.
2) Play a game.
3) Daydream.

I hope you have enjoyed Pamper Week!

Good Thursday morning Team Donald.

I was at the local high school last night and the seats are going in the theatre. The lights were going on the stage so it is very exciting.

The only bad news is that the old director and his staff are coming one night to the show. The old director had some problems but he was successful and so administration did nothing until last summer when they asked him not to return. There have been all sort of financial problems not to mention he has a number of things that belong to the company. There could be some problems. I wish they would just stay away.

My visit with my son on Sunday was very nice. We took him out grocery shopping and then out to lunch. We talked about his classes this semester and he also mentioned his schedule for next semester His hair has been touching his shoulders for the last couple of years. It is now at the bottom of his ears. It looked great and little more professional.

Zoesmama03 glad you got the bike working

lovetoscrap Happy someone noticed.

goldcupmom How are the new crazy shoes.

Worfiedoodles HI! Can't wait until you are here all the time. Good luck

pjlla Congrats on the complement.

RemembertheMagic98 We are almost done with snow except for the large ugle piles in the parking lots. I can't wait until they go.

well I have to go and get ready for work.

Have a happy and healthy day.

Hello Donalds! Hope you are ready for a succesful day! My day is a little mixed up today. Had not been to the grocery store in over a week. Hubby had been complaining although I have been feeding him every night - tuna salad IS a meal, right? - so he gave me the car today and insisted I get stocked up. Wanted to get that done first thing this morning as the stores here get so crowded so I didn't exercise first thing in the morning like I usually do. Got the shopping done and some things done at school for PTA and now it's almost 1:00 here. I need to knock out the exercise and get showered before I pick up DS at 4:00 but thought I would take a little break first and watch BL, my DVR is working again. Melissa, HULU is not available outside the US unfortunately. We have found a way to get around this though....you can pay around $50 a year and "buy" a US web address so it looks as though you are signing on from the US. We have not actually done it yet and right now we are just enjoying watching shows on our slingbox. It's a lot more expensive though!

LTS, great NSV!!! I have had just a few folks mention to me something about my weight loss and I love it!!! There's nothing more motivating to me than compliments or seeing some results on the scale! And, congrats on getting the wedding rings back on:lovestruc

Maria, good luck at the Princessprincess:

Jude, have a great time at WDW:banana:

Karen, wow, a 2 minute plank! Good luck!!! That would be very hard for me.
We go in and out of plank position constantly during yoga but it's not a pose we hold for more than a few seconds. I think I will try to see how long I can hold one here at home.

Pamela, I'm with Buffy.....I love your idea of a themed trip but I don't have any ideas for you!

Well, I got my weight loss chart made yesterday and taped to the inside of my schrank (closet) door. Just a simple chart with numbers on the left side going down by .2 increments. My current weight is at the bottom and my goal weight for this challenge is at the top so I will make a fat red line going up as I lose. I don't have any way to record weight GAINS so I will just have to stop marking until I lose back to where I was:laughing:

QOTD: Good question! I look forward to reading everyone's answer. I was in a very long plateau right after New Year's. It was horrible because many others were just starting their weight loss and I couldn't seem to do anything to keep mine going. Finally one day in frustruation, I ate alot more food than normal and skipped my workout. The next day I showed a maintain and not a gain. That motivated me to get right back on plan and finally the scale started moving again. Since then, I've been a little more careful to throw in a higher calorie day every once in a while and to take a day off exercise once a week. These are suggestions I learned here along with recording all food and activity for a week or so to make sure you are really doing what you think you are:idea:

Well, today is a run day so I better get out there. I got some new running pants at the Nike Paris store so I am trying them out today. They are not compression pants but they are a little tighter than what I am used to. I sure hope no one is out there to stare at me:scared1:

Shawnprincess:

Hi Team Donald!

Just wanted to say "See ya real soon" I am off to disney. I am so excited for the princess race. I wanted to take time to thank all of you that has given me support over the past few challenges. I miss talking to you and cant wait for our boards to merge. Without these BL challenges I would have thrown in the towel a long time ago. Now I am heading to disney to run my first half stronger than I have been both mentally and physically in a long time. Love you all!!!!

Lindsay

I had a class of 415, DS's class at the same school is well over 600 now. Lots of kids. Sadly, or amazingly (don't really know) but I know at least 3/4 them. I tended to drift from circle to circle so I had a lot of "friends" in HS. But really I drifted away from all of them.

Oh I don't know. Curiosity will probably get the better of me. I'm nosy by nature. LOL

Sounds like me. I was yearbook photog so made the rounds very well. Dated a footballer so hung w/ them, hung out w/ the punks too, knew the "nerds" well. I fit in w/ every group it seemed. I've heard lots of people just loved going to see everyone.

:wave2:

Someone finally noticed!!!!!:woohoo::banana: Okay, it was DD's dr but it sure was nice to finally have someone take one look at me and say "You have lost weight!" And it was a statement, not a question. He knew for sure that there was a good amount gone. Still waiting for friends. . . But the first NSV that has meant the most to me, that really has been my first goal of the entire thing-- I can wear my wedding ring again. That really has been one of the most upsetting thing about the weight gain.

Super Congrats!!!! That's so nice when someone notices your hard efforts. We look in the mirror and it's hard to see the subtle changes and can get frustrated. And what a special moment to put on your wedding ring :lovestruc!

Congrats DisFam95 for being our overall Biggest Loser this week! Keep up the good work!!!!!

And can I say OMG :banana::banana: how exciting!!! Well it was my first week in the group so that always yields big numbers. Not sure I'll be as good this week but this sure did get me back on track. Thanks for running this group and for everyone on here sharing their experiences!

Congrats to EVERYONE because each of us is making a change for the positive in our lives.

Keep it up

Well all my kids are well and I'm finally getting out to run some errands and not being stuck in the house w/ the SNACKS:scared1:

Gotta run but thanks for the congrats and everyone have a super day!

GO DONALDS!!!

Settin’Sail:
Had not been to the grocery store in over a week. Hubby had been complaining although I have been feeding him every night

Lol!

Well it snowed a little last night and stuck and was snowing again this morning. It does look pretty. Will go for a walk pretty soon.:goodvibes Have to work 5-9—doesn’t seem worth the bother. I can’t imagine there being any business as this town shuts down after a few inches of snow. I imagine the roads are just fine though as they have been threatening this for days. I’ll take a few pictures too. The cats have been sort of staring out the windows in disbelief. I had one try to commit suicide today because I tore the plastic to up the blinds today (wanted to see the pretty snow from my pc) and she tried to jump on the air conditioner lol. :rotfl:
I could see what she was wanting to do and every time she got ready to jump I told her No---It is still just a sheet of clear plastic there see… Well now the window cover is torn to shreds, guess I could try to fix that today lol.

Wasn't thinking earlier and seems I owe a quotd.

Thursday 24th--The pool was closed today due to the weather so I decided to walk instead--what is your alternate exercise plan?

Got up super early this morning but never made to this part of the boards.

OK so I had my US today, everything is fabulous!! The girls are super healthy! LOL The radiologist even said he double checked the mammo and said he didn't understand why I was back for a US.

Saw the podiatrist today, he is happy with my progress so far. He made a slight adjustment to the right foot on the insert because while the pain has diminished it's now in a new spot.

DS9 had a Dr appt and we increased his ADD med a bit, hopefully it will help increase his focus but still keep him as his quirky self. He was funny, he was very vocal about not going up to much on the med because he's worried about the reduction of appetite. Poor kid only weighs 56 pounds. And this particular med makes you stutter a bit and he's worried about that too. He's such a riot!! The Dr was impressed though with his questions and suggestions.

I finally get my basement back which means I can run again! We had to replace the hot water heater so I've had workers in and out of the basement.

Lindsay

Good luck Lindsay!!! I hope you are all able to meet up with each other while you are there! Thanks for the support you have given to me as well. I also can't wait for the boards to merge.....ours has been a little dead lately:goodvibes but I've met some great new supporters:hippie:

Well all my kids are well and I'm finally getting out to run some errands and not being stuck in the house w/ the SNACKS:scared1:
:cool1:

Aw, your poor kitty! I try to mix up my exercise but my main activities are elliptical 3 x per week, running 3 x per week and yoga 2 x per week. I usually do not exercise at all on Saturdays and I'm still trying to figure out how to work in my exercise DVD's into my routine. I used them in place of running when it was very cold or snowy outside but now it's not so bad out there. I like to walk and ride my bike too so I have lots of alternatives:thumbsup2 Thinking about MAYBE getting some roller blades...

The girls are super healthy! .

Wow, that sounds tiny! I'm trying to remember what my son weighed at that age - maybe around 75 pounds? I'll have to look it up. I remember that he played flag football in 3rd grade, we didn't want him to start tackle yet because there were some VERY big kids out there. Hope the adjustment on the meds works well.

Good luck to all at weigh-in tomorrow! I feel a maintain coming on:rolleyes:

Welcome to Healthy Habits!

Here’s How Healthy Habits Works: Each week there will be 3 Healthy Habits (HH) to complete. The first two HHs will always be drinking water and exercising. (Note: The amount and time will increase throughout the challenge!) At the end of each week, you will tally up the number of points you earned for the week and send me a private message with your total. Here’s an example. For Week 1, the 3 HHs are drink Six 8 oz. glasses of water a day, exercise a minimum of 20 minutes per day, and eat at least 3 servings of vegetables a day. If on 4 days you get in all 3 HHs, you would report your points like this:

4/6 days of drinking water
4/6 days of exercising
4/6 days of eating veggies

Your total points (ex: 12/18) AND your team name should be in the subject of your PM.

This is a team competition. On/about Tuesday evening, I will post the week’s results. I will share the number of participants on each team and the top scorers on each team. New for BL 11: I will also list the people who earned 7/7 on one or more of the HHs for the week. If you participated on the team with the most participants, you will be entered into a drawing for the week's prize. Each prize will have something to do with the 3rd Healthy Habit for the week. I will post the winner and ask that you PM me your contact information. (Please Note: If you do not wish to be entered into the drawing, please let me know in your PM. I understand people’s WISHes for privacy.)

Participation in Healthy Habits is entirely optional, but I encourage you to participate and help your team be on top for the week. Good luck on your journey and I hope that HHs helps you as much as it continues to help me!

Welcome to Health Habits Week 9

Week 9 is 2/25-3/3.

This week's 3 Healthy Habits are:
1) Drink Eight 8 oz. glasses of water.
2) Exercise a minimum of 30 minutes a day.
3) Journal you food.*

*Journaling is something that is very important for many of us so it's back for another week. I encourage you to journal infomation like PointsPlus, calories, fat, etc., but even just writing down every bite you had that day is great! :goodvibes

At the end of the week, please PM me your points. I will post the results on/about Tuesday. Don't forget, this is a team competition!

Remember, every participant counts, regardless of the number of points you earn!

If you have any questions, please free to ask!

P.S. Week 7 Result shoul be up shortly, unless I fall asleep first. :rotfl:
