TEAM DONALD--Biggest Loser 11 Spring Team Challenge

brussel sprouts

half or quarter them
toss in 1-2 TBSPs olive oil
sprinkle with small tsp of salt
roast in pyrex at about 375 until soft and turning brown

These are awesome and super easy, my kids even love them!

YUM!!! I love these -- and I just discovered them about a year or so ago.

I did the treadmill today and stayed within my calories! Woohoo!!

I also got started with Motivated Moms to get my household chores more organized. I figure Id get a jump on my entire life, not just my weight.

Its probably all overkill, and I'm taking on too much. Im just so over 2010 and I don't want to be mired in depression anymore. I want things to be better - if it kills me. :upsidedow If I'm lucky, one of these will stick.

Yesterday a very nice young lady asked me for help in the Frozen Vegetable aisle at the store. She was looking for Broccoli Florets and had no idea what that was.

Reminds me of the show "Honey we're killing the kids". So many of those families had never shopped in the produce section!!

You are a lifesaver with the quote tags. Thank you so much - it was driving me bonkers.

count me in as someone who would love to learn about great veggies and how to enjoy eating them without some cheese sauce on them

I am not a vegetable fan, so I've learned to hide them in things. My biggest claim to fame at home is to put spinach in our marinara sauce!

Sorry to hear about your son. Where is he exactly? I was thinking I have like 17 years or so, but now your saying your son is only 14.

He is attending UNCSA for their high school ballet program. We feel really lucky that he got in, and received the scholarships that made this opportunity possible. That said, if hes successful, he won't ever really be home again. Even during the summer, he has to go away to ballet intensives for 5 weeks, so we don't even see him then! I'm super proud of him, but miss him like crazy.

I'll have to make a note to look for Rhodiola Rosea! Tell me where you find it, because it doesn't sound like one that would be in the supermarket.

I think I remember seeing Walgreens carrying it. I'll be sure to let you know where I end up picking mine up.

In the past I would have blown off the workout and stayed to watch practice only to kick myself later, cause I wouldn't do anything at the practice but chat.

Woohoo! Major accomplishment - you rock.

Ladies,

It's not that I don't want to take the time to answer the QOTD, but I've got something more important that I need to share with you....

It's almost Girl Scout Cookie time:eek: (sales start Saturday)

These insidious little bits of deliciousness might be my weight loss undoing! :sad2: Seriously, I have no. control. with a box of thin mints or samoas in front of me.

Thankfully, I'm not the Cookie Mom for my girls' brownie troop this year (so all of the cookies won't be at my house), but we bought a ton from my girls last year and as the Troop Leader, I ended up buying the extra boxes (so I didn't have to deal with paperwork)...and EATING them all.

Please, help me stay strong.

I've been SO inspired by all of your stories of success so far! I'm glad I'm here! I have GOT to be able to get through cookie time with some self control....

Mikamah – I didn’t get a chance to check out the c25k info yet. I would have said that I NEVER run, but last summer I actually tried it on the treadmill and was able to do 1 minute every 5 minutes. Not a huge amount, but it was a start and the best part is I didn’t get tossed off the machine. I have a lazy foot and I seem to drag it a couple of times during each work out. I was terrified that I’d trip and whiz right off the back of the thing. I just have to get my lazy butt back to the Y and get back on the treadmill.

Pjlla – I didn’t hear what happened to your husband, but I hope he’s on the speedy track to recovery. Sounds like it was a rough couple of months for you.
Rainydayplay – I lik
e your idea of putting a dollar in a jar for every pound you lose. I may have to copy you.

Tauwillow – thanks for the link to the monthly menu planning. I’m going to check that out.

Lovetoscrap – thanks for all the veggie suggestions. I struggle with adding them to my menu planning. I used to only eat corn and green beans but the older I get the more I’m willing to try new things. I’m going to try some of your methods and see if I can boost my veg intake.

Asktriplets – only buy the cookies that you don’t like and immediately donate them to a food bank or take them to a Senior Center. You’ll still be supporting the girls, and making someone else get a little treat. My boys were in Scouts and we did this with the popcorn they had to sell. Be strong.

QOTD- Only visiting one park? Easy for me – it would be Epcot and if I had to be specific about which side, it would be World Showcase. I love walking around and looking in all the shops. We love going during F&W so we have lots more food choices. Funny, I’m a pretty picky eater so I find it pretty easy to not over indulge. I normally just take a bite of Jim’s stuff and I’m happy with that. Ending our day with Illuminations get me teary eyed every time.

Ok so we know that the East Coast is well represented. How about CA? I’m about 40 miles east of SF, anyone near me?
I did pretty well at work today on the food front. Normally I do really well until lunchtime and then once I start eating I feel like I have to graze the day away. I packed my lunch, spinach salad and a chicken and spinach calzone, fruit and yogurt. Ate only what I packed and didn’t get tempted by the Hershey kisses in the storage room. Still struggling with the water and exercise.

Well, we have completed our first “measure-in” for our WIN! Challenge. :woohoo:

shoot, I'm late coming into this. Can I add my stuff on next week? What day do you take the measurements?

I also got started with Motivated Moms to get my household chores more organized. I figure Id get a jump on my entire life, not just my weight.

I'm starting that too!! I also turned in all my PTO stuff today, it was soooo liberating!

It's almost Girl Scout Cookie time:eek: (sales start Saturday)

You can do it!!! The cookie is so not worth it! And they are just so darn expensive now. Think of all the money you'll save if you don't buy them!

Jumping in again.

Pamela - so happy to hear your husband got unwired!:thumbsup2:cool1:

Welcome to all the new members! What an active group. :goodvibes

Now to answer the QOTD:
for WDW I'd pick MK and I would just stay there for the day. With only one day, I wouldn't want to waste time on a bus. But for only one day, I'd prefer DL

Spent all my time reading everybody's posts and now too tired to properly comment on everything. So I'll just say I'm thrilled to see so much positive attitude and keep up the great work!

Here's a little quote I got today, which is appropriate:
“Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day in and day out.” - Robert Collier

tink2007,
You will notice less bathroom time as your body adjusts. Mine did. I regularly drink 9-12 cups a day. I have a tall glass that holds 3 cups and refill it 3-4 times a day. More in the summer because 110 heat of Arizona will do that. My worst time of day is the hours following my BP pill but that is its duty. My Dr did say she could try others. I don't know why she couldn't just take it off and increase the initial med which does seem to keep BP where it is supposed to be. Oh well, I need to get in to see her but I know she will not be happy with my weight having gone up since I was last there. :guilty: She isn't mean about it or really preachy but I just don't wanna go back right now. Anyway yes I will be in the bathroom 25 times in the morning as well. I love the comment on the exercise walking there.

Julie,
I will watch it. I already do watch it when I felt my knee doing funny stuff on jumping jacks I marched in place instead. No way do I want or need to get injured. I really don't even know where that happened unless it was from jumping. I suppose the ab portion could have done it too. I tried to do some crunches on my fitness ball and it was still sharp as soon as I pulled up. I just did some light stretching instead. My exercise was 10 minute walk outside and then I did about 10 minutes of cardio and strength suing the 30 Day Shred movements butt kicks and I did wall push ups. Hoping it will help build up my arm strength. I have always been horrible at push ups. One fitness goal I have is to be able to do 10 whole push ups all the way up and all the way down. I don't care if its on toes or knees. By next Jan I'd love to be able to do 10 on my hands and toes.

Off to sleep. As Jillian says we need sleep for our body to do the hormone portion of losing and boosting metabolism. I'm down for sleeping off some fat how about you? :)

Before I go and forget I wanted to share this brussell sprout recipe it was delicious when I fixed it without the cranberries(just didn't have them and goat cheese). I also subbed honey mustard for dijon and didn't use as much honey. I even got dd to try it. My brother and I really enjoyed them but we have always liked them since childhood. I do not know what my mother did but we loved our veggies.

Warm Brussels Sprouts Salad with Honey Dijon Vinaigrette (makes 3 side servings; total cost per serving: ~$3)

1-2 lbs Brussels sprouts (about 30 sprouts or so)
½ c dried cranberries
1/3 c chopped almonds
1 T olive oil
1-2 cloves finely minced garlic
Salt & pepper to taste
1-2 oz. crumbled goat cheese (optional)

Honey Dijon Vinaigrette
2 T light olive oil
1 ½ T white wine vinegar
1 T honey
1 T Dijon mustard
¼ t granulated garlic
Pinch of salt
Dash of black pepper

Prepare the dressing by combining all dressing ingredients in a bowl and whisking together vigorously until completely combined. Set aside. Rinse the Brussels sprouts, trim off the ends and remove any soiled or wilted leaves, then cut each sprout into quarters (if they’re really small, halves will also be okay). Heat the olive oil in a medium skillet and add the minced garlic, cooking until just slightly fragrant. Add the Brussels sprouts and stir fry over medium high heat for about 4-5 minutes or until slightly tender, seasoning with salt & pepper about halfway through. Remove from heat.

In a large bowl, assemble the salad by tossing together the sprouts, cranberries, chopped almonds and the dressing. Let the salad sit for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with extra chopped almonds and plenty of freshly ground pepper, and enjoy!

I don't recall where I got it from so I can't give credit unfortunately. :(

I figured I would answer the QOTD-If you have just one day at DW which park would you want to see? Or would you hop to do your favorites?

I would spend my morning in Epcot and then my evening in the Magic Kingdom. I love Wishes and it would be the perfect ending to the day.

I did pretty good yesterday. I stuck with unsweetened ice tea to drink, pop is my major down fall and during the holidays I drank a lot so I am cutting back down again. I ate healthy enough, I did splurge and have a small piece of cheesecake my aunt brought over to go with dinner. I did not do any traditional exercise but I helped my uncle move a lot of stuff around in our basement and it sure felt like I had.

Good morning everyone

I don't have a lot of time this morning.

Want to Welcome

BernardandMiss Bianca

I got up this morning and didn't feel like working out but within 5 minutes I was up and working out. I did 20 minutes of yoga this morning. Yesterday I did 20 minutes on my knee and then did 14000 steps.

My Christmas tree is down and we have to take all the stuff down to the basement. It took dh 30 minutes to vacumm the floor because between the pine needles and the dog fur it makes lots of clogs. But that mess is done.

Question of the Day

What is your favorite exercise?

I have to say yoga. If done right it can really work you out and then relax you at the same time. I also like to walk

Have to go

Have a happy and healthy day

You may pass my hubby and DS on the road.....he is spending the weekend visiting his family in Mocksville which is slightly west of W-S. They are celebrating his Dad's 70th bday.
Geez, and you couldn't come with them to meet me? I'm slightly north of W-S. Girl... :lmao: How much longer do you have??? Safe travels!!!!!

[
I've been a bit absent lately, we lost our dear Worf aka Worfiedoodles (17 years of black cat full of love and demanding attention) a couple of weeks ago, and we've been processing that.
Awww. Maria...... I'm so sorry. 17 years??? WOW! You were blessed, but at the same time, that's almost as long a having a child before he/she leaves for college. I'm sure that will take time to process!

Alright ready to get this show on the road. I was up 4 lbs from the last time I weighed. Also darn scale was at 300 which I have never seen. So I'm more than ready to get it going the other direction.
:
You're going to do great! As usual, Zoe and your photos look sooo beautiful!!

shoot, I'm late coming into this.
Hey there! Glad to see you back, even if you are on an opposite team!

Here's a little quote I got today, which is appropriate: “Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day in and day out.” - Robert Collier
Hey Shannon! So glad to see you participating! Missing PMing you this go around, but glad you are still around, even if you are on the competition!

Today has been a good/bad day. Walked 3.84 miles averaging 15.6 min miles. Then from 12/10 til today I have only walked 1 - 2 miles/day and always with someone (one of the restrictions) - that someone being my DH who, although 10" taller than I am walks SLOW.
Hey Julie! Glad you are recovering from your surgery, and your house is put getting put back together!

Good handwashing, antibacterial gel and keeping the fingers crossed. It is a worry. Hey Lindsay! Team donald is rocking this challenge too! I think if it came down to it, Donald Duck could take Mickey.;) You better watch out.
Them there's fightin' words. BRING IT!:stir: :lmao:

We got my son settled back into his dorm room (translated: cleaning the microwave & fridge, folding and putting away his clothes and reorganizing his closet) and said our goodbyes before heading back home. Its hard leaving him behind - I really wasn't expecting to lose him at 14.
If you ever need anyone to check on him, let me know! I'm pretty close by!!!

Ours is all gone. We actually missed much of what fell at home because we were at my inlaws and they didn't get very much. It was beautiful and my girls enjoyed spending a little time in it, but got cold and wet fast!
We've got a small chance of snow down here in SW VA tonight, Thursday night, Friday, Monday and Tuesday. BRING IT ON!! I need a snow day!

Taryn! -- We miss you, too! I have to find time to swing by Team Mickey, but I'm afraid it will have to be after the WDW Half. I wonder if Team Mickey has a big number of folks from any particular state?
It's not VA, I can tell you that!:lmao: Seems to be a lot of NE people over there, too. They're forever spurting out places that I've never heard of from down here in the sticks. :rotfl: Good luck at the half!

So team Donald, does this mean I am the only VA stater here? I'm seeing all the NE people and I'm feeling lonely knowing Taryn is on the other team:rolleyes1
I'm checking in when I can, so you don't get too lonely!

I got 20 minutes in this morning. I worked on my knee. I found some strengthening exercises and did then to help my knee. I was surprised how good it felt yesterday since I was back to work. I am hoping that it is healing and by losing weight it should help.
Hey Dona! Glad your knee is doing better!!!!!!

Drive-by post because I am totally beat tonight and am heading up to bed as soon as I hit "submit"... (is there a smiley for a yawn???)
JUDE!!!!! WELCOME BACK!!!!!! Even if you are on the other side.... Good to see you again! And, tell JenA I said hello and and a hug, please, if you are still in touch with her!

For everyone else wondering who this crazy Mickey is that is invading your thread, please don't feel left out! I've done these challenges all last year, and you are holding some of my best friends captive!!! I have to stop in and see how they are doing!
Have a great day all!
Taryn

My favorite exercise? I don't have one because if I did , I wouldn't be in this shape! It reminds me of a quote I saw about this lady who signed up for an exercise class and they told her to wear loose clothing. She said if she had any loose clothing she wouldn't need the exercise class. LOL Seriously though, I guess I would have to say walking, even though I can only do about 15 minutes on the treadmill right now.

Well, we have completed our first “measure-in” for our WIN! Challenge. :woohoo:

Team Donald has 22 participants, an average total measurement of 176 2/5 inches, and a team total of 3,880 1/2 inches.

Team Mickey has 24 participants, an average total measurement of 167 3/4 inches, and a team total of 4,025 1/2 inches.

For this first week, I suppose the only competition would be for number of participants and that award goes to TEAM MICKEY!!! :cheer2::cheer2:

According to Tracey’s posts, we're looking at about 130 - 140 initial weigh-ins. So, approximately 1/3 of you have chosen to participate in the WIN!. I think ww are off to a great start!:thumbsup2

For those of Our next WIN! measure-in will be Friday, January 28.[/I]
It's so nice to see so many participating. Thank you connie for running the win challenge. Maybe a few of our participants will decide to do the win and we will pull ahead of team Mickey.;) I am excited to watch the changes this challenge and see the inches go away forever.

It's almost Girl Scout Cookie time:eek: (sales start Saturday)

These insidious little bits of deliciousness might be my weight loss undoing! :sad2: Seriously, I have no. control. with a box of thin mints or samoas in front of me.
I am on the other side, and need to have some. guess that's why my weight loss if soooo slow.:rotfl: Could you buy just a couple boxes that are just for "MOM" and noone can touch them, and buy boxes for the rest of the family to have as their own. That way they are yours to do what you want with, and you may be able to savor them over a few days or weeks. I know if I want something, and I don't eat it, sometimes it makes me eat more of junk I don't even want. I'd rather take the 2 boxes of cookies, plan for them as my splurge those weeks, and be done. My nieces's orderform had a donate section so you could donate the boxes to a local food pantry rather than bring them home. Good luck. You can do this.

Question of the Day

What is your favorite exercise?
Run/walking. I love to get out in the fresh air and always feel so good after I do it. Sometimes even while I'm doing it.:rotfl: Second is the just dance for the wii fit. I'd love to find a dance dvd that is fun and you don't have to keep clicking the wiimote for the next song to come up.

Any body have any fun dance dvds?

For everyone else wondering who this crazy Mickey is that is invading your thread, please don't feel left out! I've done these challenges all last year, and you are holding some of my best friends captive!!! I have to stop in and see how they are doing!
Have a great day all!
Taryn
Hi Taryn!! Miss you too!! I'm setting my alarm clock earlier so I can try to keep up here and run out of time before I can get over to team mickey.

So I found this: http://www.foodfit.com/healthy/healthyFallFoods.asp#brussels to go with the vegetable discussion. A great list of information about all the in season vegetables. (they have one for fruit too) Some great and simple recipes to enhance your veggies. And this site lots of other great recipes. Yep, I have wasted the afternoon there!
Loved reading about your vegies and your tips. thanks for the link. I thought of you last night as I was cooking my fresh brocolli to a bright green. Thanks for the link.

DS14 and I have committed to the Everest Challenge in May so I have 5 months to get my butt in shape. Y'all have got to help me!!! I do NOT want to disappoint him! He's a cross country runner and is eager to get running again.
I'm doing couch to 5K.
Hi Buffy. Good luck with the running. Nothing like a race at disney world to keep you on the right track. I bet you and ds will have a blast doing the race together.

You're on my list too. Which Mall LTM or NSM? I can remember how the LTM was the awesome one growing up and now the NSM has completely blown it out of the water.
.
But are you old enough to remember the big old metal tree in the middle of the LTM?

Planning disney vacations is another hobby...my coworkers LOVE that i randomly read them ride times from an app on my phone.
That is great. I'm jealous my coworkers get a little sick of me and my disney addiction.

Lake Quannapowitt. It's a very popular place to walk/run. I prefer to walk up in Breakheart Reservation. There is an entrance at the Northeast Vocational School in Wakefield, and another entrance over in Saugus near Route 1. Nice paved path through the woods, no cars allowed these days - years ago you could drive in there. Lot's of hills, and during the heat of the summer, plenty of shade.
I've heard of Breakheart and a friend posted pics on facebook from there the other day. It looked beautiful. I'll have to go there onde day.

Good morning Team Donald. It's so great to see everyone motivated and doing well. Keep up the great work!!

Question of the Day

What is your favorite exercise?

Thanks!!! Glad to be back!

QOTD:
I'd have to say boxing. I do it on the Wii and I always feel better mentally and physically after.

Hey there! Glad to see you back, even if you are on an opposite team!

I'm super glad to be back!!! Maybe I'll pop into enemy territory and stalk my competition! LOL

WoW!!! Things fly around here. I'll have to be more active on a regular basis.
Well, I'm faltering before even starting. I blame it on my husband. :rotfl: Darn man won't go back to work!!

I don't like to exercise in front of him and if I say it's time to diet again I'm afraid he'll just roll his eyes at me. Not because he's not supportive, because he really is, it's just that the last few times I've failed miserably. After I initially lost the 30 pounds I did fantastic for a while but then I'd start to gain and say "time to diet again" and it would last a couple weeks and then boom, right back to my old habits. It's so easy to do!

I know I need to just bite the bullet (is that low cal?) and get back on track. I need to purge the house of junk, not that we have a lot to begin with, and sit down and figure out my menus and hit the store. So why don't I? I need a good kick in the butt!!

QOTD- I love yoga. I use to do it on my wii and it just felt so good stretching my body so. Looking forward to swimming soon too.

Zoe'smomma - "I'm down for sleeping off some fat how about you? " I love this! It should be my new motto!

Pamela - I'm so glad to hear that your husband is doing well!

QOTD - my favorite exercise is ice skating.

I've had a much improved week with exercise and water drinking. My eating has been better than the past month but not quite where I want it. I feel very bloated. I have a feeling I am going to have a gain this week! I really need to work on getting veggies in!

I started a thread last night on the community board about losing weight and a few people sent me to this thread and said it may help me. :goodvibes

My name is Carla and I am an unmotivated, SAHM who needs to lose about 15-20 pounds by MAY!!:rotfl2: I have tried to join these things before but I have not been willing to stick with it. Hopefully I am on the right track now so we will see. I just started yesterday and so far today I have done OK. I am just taking this thing one day at a time.
Hi! I will go ahead and put you on Team Donald.:goodvibes Worked out perfectly because they were next on the rotation.:)

If you all could keep an eye out for anyone who looks like they are "New" and may have not visited the main thread I would really appreciate it. We are trying very hard to keep the teams even. As always you can post on either or both threads, just for record keeping purposes we are assigning folks on an alternating basis. Plus it will make it sooooo much easier for Tracey on Friday if she doesn't get a bunch of weigh-ins from folks we have not already placed on a team. She had well over a 100 initial weigh-ins and as you can imagine it's a lot to keep track of. TIA!

P--so glad things are looking up for DH! Woohoo on getting the jaw unwired and I am sending good thoughts your way that all the other appointments go well.:goodvibes

Hello to everyone else! I heard that you all are were planning on buying TONS of girl scout cookies.;) :rotfl: (No, I do not have a competitive bone in my body, what are you talking about?:thumbsup2)

Have a fabulous day!

ETA--ok the new folks really don't know me well, so I just want to say--I really am kidding. Put down those cookies, walk away from that box! Have a great day!

Hi Team Donald! This might end up being a duplicate post, so hang with me! I am having some issues.:goodvibes

Yep, it was a duplicate so I am deleting. :)

QOTD - My favorite exercise is swimming. I could literally swim for hours, but I rarely get the opportunity anymore. (as a teen, we had a pool in the backyard and I had no idea how good I had it at the time!)

More practically, I guess I'd have to say I like boxing on my wii fit. I feel like I'm working upper and lower body while taking out my frustrations at the same time. (you can imagine anyone's face on that bag, you know...) :rotfl:

Hi Team Donald!

I am joining you for this challenge as a "Maintainer." Which is a lot more challenging than it sounds! This challenge marks 2 years of Biggest Loser Challenges for me - my first one was in January of 2009 and I have spent the last year maintaining the loss I achieved that first year.

Sometimes I get bogged down in "stuff" and don't post a lot, but I know that these challenges are one of the things that have contributed to my success this time around, so I am going to continue, even if I don't always contribute as much as I would like. I'll try to catch up on the QUTD a little later.

I spotted this post last night and just had to chime in:

This is my third time through GS Cookie Time and the Biggest Loser, so I can tell you - it CAN be done!!! Everyone is different, so different strategies help different people. Here is what has worked for me, regarding GS Cookies.

1. I only get my kids' favorites. No sense having a box of cookies in the house that I'm the only one willing to eat!

2. Keep them out of sight - downstairs freezer is good. In the pantry is better than on the counter. Etc. etc. Out of sight, out of mind is not foolproof, but every bit helps, I say.

3. Try to open only one box/kind at a time. For me, a closed box (or sleeve) is a safe box (or sleeve). Once it's open, it's too easy to finish off a whole row. :scared1:

4. I remind myself that these are foods with addictive qualities and it is ultimately easier for me if I just don't take that first bite. It's not self-denial so much as it is remembering that I'll have an easier time if I don't have that first taste in my mouth.

5. I dont' know if this would work for anyone else, but for me, I have kind of come to the conclusion that while I support the girl scouts and while their cookies are addictive, they are NOT a 10 out of 10 as cookies go. They are OK for packaged cookies, but there are a lot of other foods that calorie for calorie are actually way MORE delicious. I summarize this in my head by thinking "Yeah, but the chocolate is waxy" or "Yeah, but there is that aftertaste."

I know a lot of people have a fondness for them, but it has to be said - they are expensive packaged cookies and their appeal is mainly in nostalgia, the fact they are available for a limited time each year and the addictive nature of foods that combine fats, sugars and salt and can be eaten by the handful instead of the plateful.

And that reminds me:

6. If you are going to have some GS cookies, put them on a plate! This makes them a legitimate snack rather than a mindless nosh.

OK, y'all - I've got an appointment I'm going to be late for if I don't shake a leg. I hope everyone has a great loser-ly day!!!

Well, after reading that a few of you were using it, I went out and picked up Jillian's 30 day shred. Target has it on sale for $9.99 this week.

The exciting news is that I not only bought it, but put it in and did my first circuit when I got home. Feeling a little wobbly right now, but also feeling great that I got it done!

Thanks for the encouragement!

Congrats! I love that feeling of accomplishment after I finished a workout!

brussel sprouts

half or quarter them
toss in 1-2 TBSPs olive oil
sprinkle with small tsp of salt
roast in pyrex at about 375 until soft and turning brown

These are awesome and super easy, my kids even love them!

We add in a bit of fresh black pepper, too... YUMMY!

Question of the Day

What is your favorite exercise?

Right now, I think I'd have to say my favorite exercise is the Body Pump class that i go to.... I feel so empowered after lifting the weights, (even if I'm using the smallest weights they have...)

Yesterday was pretty good... I finally got back on the treadmill after a 3 month break.... I started on week 4 of the C25k program and did 3 & 5 minute running intervals. In 33 minutes, I did 3 miles running and walking... not too bad! In addition, I drank all of my water (and then some) and ate all of my veggies... and I was still about 200 calories under my daily limit!! On the down side, though, I gained 1/2 pound.... :headache:

I think I'm going to start tracking my measurements, too.... does anyone know of any good iphone apps to do that?

Have a great day, everyone!
