Good morning everyone! I hope you all had a great, refreshing weekend and are ready to face the week this Monday morning. I am excited because it is supposed to get up into the 20's today!

We had the bitter cold that the east coast is getting now over the weekend. I know that we had lows of -18 and -14 and the daytime temps didn't get above 5 on Fri and Sat. Yesterday it got up to about 10 which was nice since I had a broomball game, but the wind was whipping and it felt pretty darn cold
I had a decent, relatively OP weekend. I had a couple of splurges, but the rest of my choices were good, so it didn't put me way over my calorie goals. On Saturday, I didn't get any exercise in, but I was working all day painting and cleaning so I felt like I burned at least a few calories.
Saturday 1/22/11- It's the weekend, let's talk disney!!
When was your first trip, your most recent trip, and when is your next trip? Care to share a favorite memory too?
My first trip to WDW was in 1996 right after my junior year of HS. My whole family went and it was our first really big family vacation that didn't involve visiting far away relatives. We stayed for a week off-site and went to MK, Epcot, MGM, BB and Seaworld. I got sick

the day my family went to Epcot and ended up spending the day alone at the hotel, but we went back later in the week so I could see some of the stuff I missed. I remember my mom just LOVED Living with the Land and now, every time I ride it I think of her.
My most recent trip was a single day last April at Epcot. I was in Orlando for a work conference and my boss (and best friend) and I stayed an extra day and used the GAD promotion to go to WDW. The weather was awesome and the lines were short and we had a great time!
I don't currently have a next trip planned. I am going to the same conference this year and would love to take an extra day, but it is the week before Easter and I know it will be really busy, and I am trying to convince my BF to go too, and I'm not sure he will buy in

We'll see, I guess.
One of my favorite memories is from the summer of 2000 when I was on the CP. 3 of the the girls I worked with and I went to auditions to be face characters. We were all ended up being princess rejects

hence the name. We spent the rest of the day at AK and we went out for lunch at the Rainforrest Cafe. We laughed about being rejects for the rest of the summer.
Sunday 1/23/11 QOTD- If you have one day all to yourself, no commitments, no kids or spouses, just total time for you, where would you go and what would you do?
I would start by sleeping in. Then I would probably get up, throw in some laundry, watch some TV and take a nap. I would go out for lunch, then maybe spend some time wandering around at Barnes and Noble, go to the gym, go home, take a long HOT shower and use up all of the hot water

I would finish up the laundry, read and watch a little more TV in the evening. Then, early to bed!
I had finally given up for good when I still could barely walk more than about 5 minutes but then decided that if this is how the rest of my life is going to be then I needed to get ME-- the positive, happy, optomistic, driven person I have always been-- back and figure out how to live with this reality. No more doctors, no more procedures, just move on. And completely by accident another Doctor came along and was able to make a big difference. So that resolve became even greater. Now if I would just remember to do my darn Physical Therapy exercises 2x a day!

I know your pain. I have no problems talking about my problems. In fact I have pretty much discussed it all in real time on the boards in various threads. I am actually more hesitant now to really talk about it because I don't want to discourage anyone. I am a "worst case" of severe plantar fasciitis in both feet. Everything that worked on 99 percent of the people didn't work on me and in one case made things horribly worse. Dinner is about ready so I will try to post later when I have more time.
I would love to hear more about your expreiences with plantar fasciitis. I had a pretty severe case of it a few years ago. I was working out 5 days a week plus I was working at a job where I was on my feet and walking constantly for 9 hours a day. I remember it feeling like things were tearing in the bottoms of my feet

Once I changed jobs, things got a lot better, but I still have pretty constant problems with my arches and achilles tendons.
Well, the newscaster just ruined my winter denial and said we're only 1/3 the way through winter. What a jerk.

Coldest morning here in years. Quite a winter, so I'm going to think about vacation with the qotd.
Monday 1/24/11 QOTD- When you go on vacation, disney or anywhere, how do you handle eating? Has this become a true lifestyle and do you stay in control and not vere much from every day, or do you go all out and totally splurge and deal with what you may gain after, or are you somewhere in the middle?

I am also in denial about how much winter is left. Every time the sun comes out and the parking lots get a little slushie I start thinking maybe spring is on the way

Sadly, I know that it isn't likely that we will get a real spring until at least APRIL
When I am on vacaion, I tend to take a break from a good percentage of my healthy habits. I still try not to eat fried food (when I have it after avoiding it for a long time I feel

), but I am far more likely to splurge on desserts and drinks than I normally would. I really think that when you are on vacation, you should have ice cream every day, so that sort of derails my eating

If I am with my BF, he tries to get me to stick to a healthy-ish eating plan, but he is with me on the ice cream thing. He does tend to make it a priority to try to get some workouts in so at least we can stay partially on track.
Have an awesome Monday!
