Lisa and Shawn -- I highly recommend the keratin process if you have unruly, thick, curly or kinky hair. It's actually really popular with ladies across ethnic groups who have this issue -- anybody see the Brazilian Blow Out thread on the Budget Board? My hair is smooth, soft, and so much more manageable! It's not damaged, and it's just a pleasure. Definitely worth the 3 days of not sweating!
So, this morning I ended up doing 5M instead of 10 -- ds needed my help with a project, and I couldn't devote 2 hrs to running. Still, I felt pretty good and I'm happy with it.
5 miles is still AWESOME
I'll get there one day.....well atleast I plan to get to 5K.Nope, my hair is the exact opposite, thin, limp, stringy and greasy if not washed and styled daily. sigh...... I have heard amazing things about the BBO though but I guess it would not do anything for me. I like the Moroccan Oil products but they are pricey.
We love Glee here and Big Bang Theory too.
Have a great day Lassie
Great story about your background!Shawn

Oh, and yes, I am Irish!
I don't look it, but my birth mother had red hair and blue eyes, and the name on my initial birth certificate (which the state mistakenly sent to my mom), was Anna Magee. My maiden name starts with an "A", so I always thought that was kind of interesting, A.M. to M.A....Can't judge a book by it's cover. People assume my redheaded, blue-eyed husband is Irish, but he's actually French-Canadian!
But I've stepped up my workouts and been working (for pay) more.... but I just can't seem to get it ALL done.
but I try to just continue to lead by example and serve healthy meals. He is just really picky with a strange palate. He'd rather eat broccoli than grapes. He puts pepper on things that no one should eat pepper on. He likes salmon but won't touch an apple. Pllus he's got food allergies that keep him from eating some things that we would think of as "healthy eating basics" like chicken and turkey and nuts and seeds. But that said, he doesn't LIVE for food, like some people do. He is one of those "too lazy" to eat or "forgot to eat" kind of people. Not sure how he got that from two parents who love eating as much as DH and I do!!
planning, organizing and cleaning. I was looking forward to a juicy discussion of this the other day but oh well
What a great group of people! And, congrats to all of us who are still sticking with this and reporting in every week!!! Consistency is the key......keep on and on trying until it turns into a habit !!!

I think I peed about 10 times in the first 2 hours after I went to bed and at least once an hour after that! Didn't get much sleep. Couldn't drink much while at school today so I started at 5 when I got home and have had at least 6 glasses since then. I hope if I stop now I can sleep better tonight!
I have been calling it that for years after I figured out I did much better writing everything out before hand and not after when I am getting started.
I spit my water!
to Kathy, Beth, LTS -- and everyone else who I just ran out of time to reply to!
Hopefully you can find something else enjoyable to do-- heck even relaxing for a few hours away from home would be nice.

I am one of those weird people who prefers to run on a treadmill. I like that I can keep a steady pace, and it tells me how much further I have to go and how long I have been running. Well, yesterday it was beautiful out--50 degrees when I got home from work, so BF convinced me to run outside with him. He is mean and pushes me to run faster and farther than I usually do
So last night we ran 3.2 miles (which I know isn't far, but is farther than I usually run) and he made me sprint it out at the end
It just goes to show that you can probably do a lot more than you think you can. If I had gone for that run by myself, I would have turned around earlier, slowed down more and stopped earlier. So, while I don't really like running with BF, I know he will make me a better, faster runner and he is pushing me because he loves me
which is a lot closer to what I was losing when I started this whole journey. I know that you all have helped me get back on track so THANKS!
