Good lord dude...holy smokes...SMOKIN' TIME STEPHEN!! And it was just a "pretty good race" :rotfl:

Seriously, that was an awesome pace...way to go!! (I'd do the little pom-pom cheerleader thing but I'd be a little insecure doing that for another dude...Krista, next time you post can you do a little pom-pom cheer for him since he deserves it? thanks in advance)

Here ya go, Scott :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Craig--Thanks for the positive thoughts and for sharing Martha's experience. While I'll never run a 25:00 5K, I have BIG plans for getting back in shape come late August. I plan on being back in my "skinny" jeans by Christmas. :thumbsup2

Great job Bunnies getting in the hours and miles. YOU ALL ROCK!!!!!

Krista

Craig--here are my totals for 3/29-3/31:

Dark Chocolate Cookies with Sour Cherries

Ingredients
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/4 cups unsweetened Dutch-processed cocoa powder
2 teaspoons baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/4 cups (2 1/2 sticks) unsalted butter at room temperature
1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
3/4 cup firmly packed dark brown sugar
2 large eggs
1/4 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
12 ounces bittersweet chocolate, coarsely chopped
1 1/2 cups firmly packed dried sour cherries (9 ounces)

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.

2. In a bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt.

3. In the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, cream the butter and sugars until fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla; beat until well combined. Add the flour mixture, and beat on low speed until just combined. Do not overbeat. With a wooden spoon, fold in the chocolate and cherries. (Dough can be frozen at this point, wrapped well in plastic, up to one month; thaw completely before baking).

4. Form balls of dough, each about 1/4 cup; place balls on prepared baking sheets about 3 inches apart. Bake until puffed and cracked, 9 to 11 minutes, rotating sheets halfway through. Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Cookies can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature up to 3 days.

I couldn't find sour cherries which I think would have made a difference.

I should have added more cherries.

This is supposed to make 3 dozen cookies; I got 29 out of it.

ENJOY!!!

Steve.. holy moley!!!! *bowing to you!*

I saw that and did the same thing! I had to make sure I was reading it right!!!!! Oh my gosh, I can't even wrap my head around that!

Anyway, one question, I'm sure was answered, but my head obviously didn't grasp it...

I gave my totals for the 29-31. This next set of numbers.... will it only count from April 1, or from the 29?

Scott and Steve: You guys did great with miles! WOW...thanks for stepping up and doing those races so we got a big old bump for 29-31!!!! Scott..you hit 30 in one weekend! :worship: Steve...NICE job...you've been SO consistent with your miles week in and week too!!! THANKS GUYS! You rock! And you were both SPEEDY FAST!!!!

Morgan: I believe you'll start from April 1 - April 7 next week.

I actually have to be pretty humble regarding the total weekly miles. As Amy, Scott, and others of you can attest, the biking miles really add up quickly, so an hour on the bike can add 15-20 miles to the total pretty quickly.

Those of you who are pounding out all the miles for the week on the road—kudos to you! That is MUCH harder work than racking up some miles on the bike!

And like Craig was saying, those few teams with big-time bikers may pass us up and leave us in the dust for weekly mileages eventually, but that’s ok. We know we’re still the best, right? :)

Steve

In regards to the quick miles racked up by riding a bike....

Maybe we should have a Virtual Rabbit's Bike Riding Day (wow that was a weak name)...a day that everyone on the team jumps on a bike of some sort, road bike, mountain bike and/or stationary bike and attempts to ride for a minimum of 30-60 minutes. We'd get a MEGA miles boost from an event like that and it might be kind of fun to have the whole team doing kind of the same thing at almost the same time.

Those who have no access to a bike of any sort could log miles as normal...but maybe there is an option there that I'm not thinking of...

So what do you think?? It could potentially be a deal where we could rack up at least 200, possibly 300 miles in one day!

THAT would sure send a shockwave to some other teams...

Oh wow..COOL...that would be fun! :thumbsup2 Bunnies Bike Day! I'm in...but it's easy for me b/c I have the bike on the trainer as I type this.

Bunnie Bike Day - I like it!

My numbers for March 29-31:
4.8 miles
2.5 hours

Craig - I can help out too (or maybe back up for Amy).

34.22 miles
2.71 hours

Biker bunny day is something I can get behind.
Erin

HI All!
Sounds like a winner to me !

And the numbers for the 3 days:
5.5 miles 1.9 hours

Hope we win the month again !!!

Patrick

Ok, so, I am doing so well with this stuff!

I actually WANT to walk or run!

That's all I had.

Scott--awesome idea! (although you're right, totally weak name :) ). I'm up for it.

Steve

Scott--- hmmmm.. you may have just given me the incentive to dust off my ol' mount. bike in the shed and fill the tires!! LOL
I would do it!!!!

Bunny Bike Day(s)... great idea. Maybe we could pick a Friday - Sunday to hop on bikes and pedal pedal pedal. Or we could each commit to going for a ride/extra ride once a week for a month and see how it adds to our numbers.

I am going to start with the extra ride this weekend. Anyone going to join me?

My numbers for the three extra days:

22 miles
121 minutes

Take care!

Teri

Hello Everyone

Thanks for the ideas, news, and numbers. I do like Bunny Bike day. 60 minutes from a bunch of us would really push the weekly number.

I have looked at the Master score sheet, and it appears my financial-monthly-budget-forecast-variance analysis wasn't what it wanted.

So to recover, for the next report I just need April 1 through 4, as that's the end point of the next reporting period. This does mean, once I pick up everyone's 29-31 numbers, we will be a monthly monster for March, but for the first week of April we'll report 4 days and others will have 7. It's my error, but I like March being big and sending a message, and surely we'll catch up in April.

So, I'll pick up everyone I haven't yet tomorrow on the last 3 days of March and then look for your April 1-4 numbers.

Thanks Amy and Liz for volunteering to step up when I need it. I plan to have my computer with me in Paris in May/June, so I may be able to keep the books then (between lots of general goofing off). The fall semester, however, looks pretty tough for me since I've been asked to reprise my role at MIT so I'll be doing double duty.

Best

Craig
