Yikes on the burglary. Is everyone okay?
We just had a horrible news story about a teenage girl in Tampa attacked and beaten when she took her books back to the library one night.

4/19 8.36 miles 100 min
4/22 4 miles 48.5 min
4/24 4 miles 70 min walking with the fam

Totals: 16.36 miles 218.5 min.

Hey Team!!!

Miles = 17.45
Hours = 3:30

I would have had more, but I took the last two days off to rest my knees! I may be pushing myself a bit too hard.

Jeanne I have saved an hour of stretching each week to donate to Roberts total. He needs the stretching so I hope he's feeling more limber now. I'm getting so limber myself that I can stick my foot in my mouth with out even trying.

Well, Ohana, it had to happen. I just hit my personal ceiling for the amount, length, and intensity of training and needed some days off. As I like to say, I've been shamelessly flirting with Overtraining for a while now, but when he & Injury asked me for a strange kind of double date I decided to leave the party. I'm just not that kind of girl.

Jeanne: Just the red numbers, please!

NOTES
• I bagged my M & W runs because I was exhausted—feeling overtrained, achey, and more than a little mitchy—and took some rest days.
• Running/Walking/RW: Treadmill and pavement.
• XT activities: Circuit and strength training (incl. free weights, circuit training, core work, and flexibility exercises), elliptical trainer, rowing, and stationary bicycling. I’m now playing with Pilates.
• Pedestrian/Commuter Miles are “walking with a purpose” to/from neighborhood destinations (I’ve slowed down to account for 16:00-18:00 mpm in regular conditions to work on my form); they do not include walking inside a destination or between destinations within a neighborhood (i.e. this is just commute time). This week included a lot of walking within neighborhoods looking at housing, most of it with DOOD, who thinks I move quickly when I’m walking!

Richard: I'm very sorry to hear about your office & your past couple of weeks. It sounds very stressful, and I hope you're doing all right given the circumstances.

I had a friend getting married yesterday so the past two days were crazy. Does walking around in heels for 2 days straight count as something? Because my calves are SORE today! Anyway, for the week ending 4/25

DDR 1hr10min
Run/Walk 2.33mi 29min
Upper body weights 30min
softball practice 2h
run/walk 3.23 miles 46 minutes

totals
4hr 55min
5.56miles

My weekly report:

Time - 6:15
Miles - 14:09

The time included several hours of scuba diving.

It's been tough keeping motivated during the off season, but that will end soon.

The whole family did a 3 mile run this evening. Never did I think that I would get them all out there.

Dave: that is very generous of you. You had mentioned awhile back that you wanted to donate an hour each week to Robert during the month of April and I have been doing that. Since April ends next week, how long shall I continue? Several people on our own team have also donated to both Robert and Linda, which is very nice. Since they are both our teammates (and therefore it has no effect on the total), I did not make a big push within the Ohana team. But it is always very much appreciated when someone from another team goes out of their way to be helpful. You are the best! :thumbsup2

Time: 12:48.36
Miles: 34

Sorry so late. Miles are low this week due to missing 1 bike day to a show and DDs' dentist appointment and a rest day. I totally took Saturday off. Something I normally do not do.

Richard: just wanted to say how sorry I was to hear about the burglary. I hope no one was hurt and everything is replaceable. Still a bummer, nevertheless.

Hi,

Here's my very late post:

For the week of April 19 - 25 --

Dennis: 8 miles/148 minutes

Maria: 8.878 miles/177 minutes

Big drop from last week -- I'm going to work my way back up, though!

Richard -- I am so sorry to hear what you've been going through. Sending prayers and pixie dust, and perhaps a little Benjamin Sisko optimism...

Maria

Got the latecomers! Does anyone know what has happened to Ashley (littlemissmickey) and Julie (Laughingplace 199)? Do I need to send out a search party?

Is it already that time again? sheesh!

For the week of April 19 - April 25

4/19: 3.1mi, 41'17" (x2) - 5k race!
4/21: 1.5mi, 17;00" (run)
4/22: 2.75mi, 32'39" (run)
4/24: 1.75mi, 35'00" (walk) + 1.69mi, 24'02" (speed drills)

Totals: 13.89mi, 195'15"

Morgan,
Unless I am mistaken (which is always a possibility!) I believe that for competitions we are supposed to double only the mileage. Looking at your totals, I think you also doubled the time. I hope you don't mind, but I corrected it on the spreadsheet. :thumbsup2

Hi Team!

I've been MIA for a couple of weeks due to a WDW trip! The trip was great, but now my 6 yr old is sick, so I haven't had much time for the DIS.
I didn't run while on vacation, but of course we did a lot of walking. I have no idea how many miles I walked, but we were in the parks for 8 days. I'd say a conservative estimate would be 16 miles.

I hope to have time to catch up soon,
Julie

Thanks for responding, Julie.......i'm just glad everything is OK and not serious with your 6-yr old. The Big Kahuna gets worried when the cousins don't check in! 8 days at WDW sounds like heaven. I'm leaving for the world this Friday but it will just be a short 4-day trip. I'm sure you put in lots of miles and minutes traveling through the parks, but I'll just record the 16 miles you reported. Welcome back!

Whoops!! Sorry about that  Please, go right ahead and fix! I apologize for the error!

The Big Kahuna! :rotfl2: :worship: I sure will miss you, Jeanne! Good luck at the Minnie!

I'm posting my miles for the week now, since I won't be getting in any more workout time until the Minnie

12.92 miles, 7:55 hours/min

Hope to see lots of our Ohana cousins over the weekend. And for those who won't be joining us.......since we can't leave anyone behind, we'll be carrying each of you with us in our hearts as we wear our team bandanas. Have a great weekend..... we'll be back soon!
