Hi Julie and welcome congrats on that first 5K (very good time first time out)

Leana your schedule is putting me to shame.

Still trying to get past that post marathon let down all the rain here in South Jersey is not helping.

Anyway here are the sad numbers

Mon ran 4 miles 28 min
Tues walked 3.5 miles 1 hour 3 minutes
Thurs Walked 4 miles 1 hour 11 minutes
Have to work the weekend so I think I'm done

Trying to find a good race for the end of the month to get me motivated.
Have a great weekend.

I wanted to let everyone know I am still here, and trying to keep up. Unfortunately, I have a great aunt I am really close with who has fallen very ill, and I am trying to take care of everything around here in case I have to make a trip to Virginia to see her (which is a scary thought, 12 hours with a 7 and 3 year old in a car). I promise to get everything updated as soon as things settle down unless Duckie gets to it before I get back!! Keep up the good work everyone!!

Dana

Dana-

I'm so sorry for your troubles.

I'll take care of it later tonight or tomorrow. I did a 5K charity event today (they didn't time it, so I have no idea how long it took me, but at least 49 minutes according to my pedometer) and I'm aiming to do a 5K judged racewalk tomorrow, so that will add a lot to my miles.

:welcome: Jules!

Just popping in with totals from Sat 5/10 thru Fri 5/16. Dh away on business and I have been "moonlighting" at his place of work doing some admin work so it has been quite hectic around here. Hoping to return to normal next week.

39.36 minutes
2.7 miles

HI All,
I know, I know, I am brand new and have gone AWOL without ever posting any miles times, etc.
My little guy has been sick, therefore I have not been able to do much workingout.
I am back on board and will hopefully, fingers crossed, be back on track starating Monday.
Hope I am still allowed to join back in.

Hi, I'm your new team member and very excited to be here. I ran the Disney Marathon in 2006 and the Half in 2005. This is super sad to say but I have not done another race since the Disney Marathon.

Last year was a super rough year--Dad had quadruple bypass surgery, I had gallbladder surgery with some major complications afterwards and basically felt like crap all year.

BUT, this year has been great (knock on wood) and I am finally getting back into running again. I am running a non-stop 3 miler a few times a week and looking to do a half at the end of the year or so.

I also need to lose some weight so I'll be focusing on that as well.

Thanks for having me!

Thanks Leana!

Welcome Kelly!

I just got in. I'm so frustrated. I have been stuck on W5D3 of the Couch25K for gosh, going on 2 weeks I think? This might have been my 5th or 6th attempt at it. I. Can't. Do. It. :furious:

Tonight I did the following:

Walked 5 minutes
Ran 12 minutes
Walked 2 minutes
Ran 7 minutes
Walked 3 minutes
Ran 8 minutes

Total:37 minutes
Distance: 2 miles

I should look on the bright side, even though I didn't run the 20 straight minutes the program says I should I did run a total of 27 minutes which is the most I have ever done during one attempt. But I just get so frustrated that I can't do it without stopping to walk and that when I figure out my time, I'm so slow. And I swear sometimes I just think this pedometer lies. LOL! I think it was longer than 2 miles. I may need to go drive the route tonight. I just don't get it.

I'm in a mood. I need to get out of it. Just feeling really crummy about all of this tonight.

Allyson

Okay after my shower I jumped in the car and had to drive the route. It was 2.6 miles that stinkin' pedometer! It is a freebie cheapie pedometer that DH got at a trade show. I am so glad I drove it and it made me feel alot better about my pace. I KNEW it was more than 2 miles.
