Teachers: What do I *need* for my classroom?

I am a teachers aide at a public school of pre-k.(all 16 classes are 4 ) One of the big things here are bulletin boards. The paper fades very fast, but we have used cloth and also the plastic tablecloths from the dollar tree. They do not fade and some have lasted 3-4 mths!!

Forgot about this! Every year teachers are measuring out butcher paper while I staple up my handy sections of cloth! I've got them just the right size and there is no fading. Great to use year after year. I have a red-white-blue themed room, but my cooperating teacher many years ago recommended a color that can be left up while you change the border and other elements to freshen it up. (Black, maybe?)
