Teachers Discount for a room only res.?

Hello to all my fellow Disney fans,

My friend and I were recently discussing our love for WDW. We were thnking that maybe we would try to put a trip together for the fall season. My friend is a teacher in Long Island NY. I can't remember if I read on these boards that Teachers get "room only" discounts. Is this true?

Teachers get a discount at the Swan/Dolphin but not at any of the official Disney resorts.

Teachers do get discounts at the Swan and Dolphin--the Dolphin is less than the Swan right now $129 versus $144. The Swan is newly renovated.

You will get all the perks of staying at a Disney hotel except being able to charge in the parks to your room key. They are both great hotels and you can walk to both Epcot and Disney Studios from either one of them. Check out the info at the top of this thread.
