oh and I'm in NJ the mother state of teacher's unions. But our school has fired tenured teachers before.
I think it's going to be a case of proving it. I am hoping they can run a check on the computer and see what he's watching.
I am wondering what their legal rights on regarding his personal laptop and how he was connecting to the internet (meaning could he have been piggy backing on an unsecured network near the school, using school wifi/network..etc) in regards to proving it.
How did this come about being reported? From a staff member? From students?
Obviously it is beyond wrong to do something like that in class..even outside of an educational setting/being a teacher people can and do get fired for viewing porn in the workplace (my previous employer would have immediately terminated for it). I can't see how even a union would have a leg to stand on in this situation.
