Tea With Wendy Reservations

What day and time is Tea with Wendy? Is it worth going?

When and where do you make reservations for Tea with Wendy on the 7 night Magic cruise. I will have my 4 year old Grandson with me and I think he would enjoy that.

Actually on our 7-day cruise last October reservations were not necessary. YOu did have to go to a special "Pass Pickup" time that was posted in the Navigator where you could get tickets to the tea. I believe the pass-pickup time was sometime on Sunday morning and the tea was either Monday or Thursday.

We picked our tickets up on our embarkation day at 1:00 - we had a choice from our first two at sea days. It was ok, but not fantasic, surprisingly brief. They hold it in Studio Sea and each table has a tea set and cookies. Wendy comes out, picks a couple boys (your grandson might get picked, so if you want this, I'd show up early and get seats right up front) to sit with her at her table and then she tells a short story - about 4-5 minutes and then you have tea. Most of the time we spent was waiting to sit at her table for the pictures/authograph time.

I found the tea w/ Wendy very disappointing. My DD4 really loves the Peter Pan movies and she cried. We could hardly hear Wendy tell her story and the tea was terrible. The cookies were yummy though. I think the biggest problem with this is the location. Studio sea is not set up for a tea party. The tables are small and the room is "awkward" for lack of a better word.

Though I appreciate DCL's effort, we thought Tea with Wendy was disappointing.

I guess Disney is entitled to 'not so great' ocassionally, as almost everything else they do is above superior.

Thank you all for your comments. I will try to go if it works out and if not, then I won't feel like we missed a whole lot. Nicholas might enjoy it if we go early and sit up front.
