Tea at the Grand Floridian

Thank you for the pictures Poppinsme and StrwLady! And for everyone's responses as well. It sounds & looks fantastic! Can't wait to try it :goodvibes

My mom took me for my birthday last year. We had a great time. It was really relaxing.

As for the menu, I'm not sure if they would let you split a set. It was priced per person with all the tea you could drink. Of course, one person could order a tea/food combo from the menu and the other could just get tea and split the scone, etc., but I don't think they would let you both have tea without paying for two people. You can each order a different tea and there will be two pots. If you order the same tea, they will only bring one pot.

I would love to try tea with the family in Oct but cannot seem to make the reservation online...do you have to call GF to make it?

You can't make reservations online. You need to call the 407-WDW-DINE number for reservations.

When my DDs and I dined there, we shared The Buckingham and we had no problem with it, although they did each get their own tea.

I am SO excited! We leave next Monday and our tea is on day 9 of our trip!! It will just be the two Grandmas at tea!!:goodvibes

we go every trip...and my dd4 LOVES it and she knows how to act while there. We share the buckingham tea and a cheese plate while dd4 gets the mrs potts tea. There is plenty of tea for dh and I to have a few cups each and when we leave we are stuffed! The cheese plate is the best I have had at wdw.

Hi all, well this thread has answered alot of my questions.:thumbsup2To my surprise my DH really wants to do the Afternoon Tea as does my DD. I'm planning on our first day after our Disney Cruise and thought this might be a nice break from a long day into MVMCP that night. I hear a great deal about the "Buckingham." Is this good for a big guy with a hearty appetite? Also a lot of people say they feel full after they leave so I'm assuming that this is considered more of a lunch than just a snack. Am I correct? I really can't wait for my ADR window to open. I keep telling myself it's just a little while longer.:woohoo:

for anyone that has taken their daughters to tea - what generally is the age that is acceptable? I really don't want to do the Princess tea thing - and I have an eight year that is mature enough to sit and drink hot tea properly.

My DD and I went when she was 7. We loved it! She did not get tea though. She had her own tea pot with milk in it!:rotfl2:
