We booked TCD's pre-seating this year for our flights so just a quick warning to anyone planning on doing it. For our outbound flight we were seated here:

- - - [isle] - x x - [isle] - - -

Not good as I'm scared of flying and much prefer being near a window where I can see what's going on, plus we were trapped on both sides and both people fell asleep! On our return flight we were also scheduled to be in those seats but we asked if we could move as we went to TCD's Freetime check in. The guy said he wasn't supposed to move people with pre-booked seats but managed to move us anyway. We ended up in a two person row right at the back by a window which was fantastic.

It seems like the priority seating for 2 people groups is those two middle seats. This may be mentioned in the gumph they send out but I never spotted it or it might have just been coincidence. Just thought some people might like to know if it's important they be near a window. No idea what happens for groups of more than 2 though.

Yep, we were two and we also go these seats, it is a daft place to out a couple, right in the middle of the 4's, even more daft was the way another family, who were alo seateed 'together', were all arranged around us.

If you are a two, and prebook, then I ould make sure uyou requedst either a window or an aisle seat to try and avoid this.

hiya

we have booked sunshine first and we are a two will this happen to us?

just rang and checked, apparently theres only twos in sunshine first and they are all with windows so i am relieved

This happened to use as well and I was not impressed, it seems to be a stupid idea to put a couple in the middle of the 4 seats. We tried to change on the way back but they couldn't do anything for us.

If this is the case and TCD put couples in the middle if they pre book seats then I would prefer to wing it! :cool1:

Ive just been arguing with them about this.

Im also a nervous flyer, i get quite bad tbh. I can not find anything that explains how there pre seating works. I think its shocking that they do no explain to you when booking what pre seating entitles you to.

Its now too late for me to move as the flight is fully booked. I was considering paying for an upgrade to avoid being stuck in the middle but its not going to happen.

:worried:  not happy and i feel sorry for the poor sole who gets sat beside me.

What a ridiculous place to seat a couple!
